How much of a tax increase would you armchair patriots be will put up with in order to pay for this ridiculous little war? My guess is support from the right would plummet faster than Maxime Bernier's career.

tangentially relevant: i've seen a common argument from frightwingers on the issue of flag burning that goes something like "soldiers died to protect your right to burn the flag, so you should surrender, even lose, that right."
