Happy Fall!!
You've been Mooned!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You know you are too old to Trick or Treat when:

10. You get winded from knocking on the door.

9.  You have to have another kid chew the candy for you.

8.  You ask for high fiber candy only.

7.  When someone drops a candy bar in your bag,
you lose your balance and fall over.

6.  People say: 'Great Boris Karloff Mask,'
And you're not wearing a mask.

5.  When the door opens you yell, 'Trick or...'
 And can't remember the rest.

4.  By the end of the night,
you have a bag full of restraining orders.

3.  You have to carefully choose a costume that won't dislodge your hairpiece.

2.  You're the only Power Ranger in the
neighborhood with a walker.

And the number one reason Seniors should not go
Trick Or Treating...

Ducks, Foie Gras, Wind Turbine Chopped, Or Oil Soaked?

How come the only ducks landing in tailings ponds are in the Alberta oilsands? Could it be that the mining companies just don't report it? Nah, they would if they saw them landing, they just never actually see it happen.

This is one of the best articles I have seen yet on the whole ducks in tailings ponds issue.

Birds migrate, and for a long time humans have been constructing things that our avian friends smash into. Electrical power lines are estimated to account for 150 million bird deaths a year in the United States. A further 50 million or so are thought to be killed by smacking into telecommunications towers for services such as cellphones and digital television. Both those figures, incidentally, are provided by the American Wind Energy Association, which itself is combating accusations that wind turbines are unnecessary bird killers — the “Cuisinarts of the sky” are accused of being responsible for about 75,000 avian deaths in the United States annually.
And sometimes, birds don’t slam into things humans have built, we slam into them. Another 60 to 80 million deaths annually are attributed to collisions with cars and trucks on North American roads.
Yet another of Canada’s most notorious bird killers is located a long way from the oil sands. The skyscrapers of downtown Toronto, especially those with the temerity to leave their lights on at night, are giant, deadly obstacles to migrating birds. There are even legions of volunteers who collect the deceased — and sometimes, the wounded — small birds that are scattered about the sidewalks of the financial district any given morning. It’s thought that about a million such birds rattle off the glass of the silent killers such as First Canadian Place each year. National Post writer Joe O’Connor spent a morning with a cleanup crew last spring, where volunteers recounted how high winds and low clouds had turned the downtown core into a veritable killing field of American Redstarts, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and the like. They counted as many as 300 dead birds, or about as many as died on the Mildred Lake tailings pond this week, thus earning Syncrude the wrath of every politician within reach of a microphone.
I am totally disgusted with Prentice, he is a pretty boy, but he is no Conservative. He should be quoting from the above article. He should be defending the oilsands. Even Ignatieff shows more support for the engine of Canada than Prentice. Maybe Prentice should quit eating Foie Gras, look at what they do to these poor ducks:

Foie gras is produced by force-feeding ducks and geese through metal pipes inserted down their throats, swelling the animals’ livers five to ten times their normal size. Dr. Ward Stone, the former senior wildlife pathologist for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, has conducted necropsies on ducks who died during force-feeding and writes, “The short tortured lives of ducks raised for foie gras is well outside the norm of farm practice. Having seen the pathology that occurs from foie gras production, I strongly recommend that this process be outlawed.”
Freezing rain causes some ducks to fall into the tailings ponds and this is a disaster? I agree that we need to get rid of the tailings ponds, maybe bury it underground, like carbon capture, but give me a break, they are ducks not humans. Let's hold the wind turbine companies to the same standards.  Let's hold the mining companies to the same standards. Let's stop hunter's from shooting those ducks every year. I don't even want to talk about the thousands of human beings being killed every year in tribal wars, that's taboo! They are UN ignored kills.

It appears that some ducks, matter more than humans.

Close Your Eyes And Imagine...

The terror of this little teenage girl! Lefties need to get out there and support her murderers, hey, they support murdering terrorists don't they? These two "juveniles" should be right up their alley, it's not like they cold bloodedly planned out her murder or anything.....oh wait they did!!
Two teenage boys have pleaded guilty to murdering and dismembering a B.C. teen, then burning her body beyond recognition.
Read the story and as you do, think of yourself as the victim, or think about this being your daughter. Think of what she went through, kidnapping, being tied up, raped multiple times, choked, killed, cut up and burned beyond recognition.

And my MP better not tell me I'm being "too gruesome" on my blog! Her death was gruesome! She is the victim. She suffered unimaginable pain and anguish. Why should we paint over what these two murderers planned and did to that young girl? Our minds recoil at even thinking about what she suffered, we don't want to think about her ordeal. We don't want to be forced into looking at what happened to her. That is why we have to stop walking away from the victims, they are the tragic figures who need our support, not the murderers. They are scum.

In an agreed statement of facts the teens, who cannot be identified because they were both under 18 at the time of the murder, said they lured Kimberly Proctor, 18, to the home of one of the teens, known in court documents as A.A. There they duct-taped her hands and ankles, used a sock as a gag and also taped her mouth.
The teens then removed her clothes and repeatedly sexually assaulted her.
The attack "also included beating and kicking her. She was choked and suffocated and eventually died," the statement of facts said.
Court heard the two boys had separately pursued Proctor as a potential love interest, talking to her via Internet chat programs. While Proctor was flirtatious, she ultimately rejected both of them and the boys stopped talking and texting her in November 2009.
What happened to her needs to be written about, if for no other reason than to wake people up to the fact that she is the victim, not the two "teenage" boys. Can you imagine what you would be going through if this was your daughter? You would be horrified, as we should all be too!

Lefties need to stop supporting "teenage" terrorists and self confessed "teenage" murderers, and start showing some compassion for the families of the real victims, like Kimberly Proctor, a beautiful young girl, who's only crime was that she didn't want anything to do with her two sick "teenage" killers.

This better go to adult court as it is a clear case of premeditated murder. It is sickening, and  we can't turn away from what was done to her, that would be a disservice to her and her family. We, as a society need to stand up and support the victims and their families, not the monsters that create the victims! I hope some judges are listening, I hope my MP is reading this, because the law and order Conservatives haven't been doing enough to push new rules for "juveniles" through Parliament.

I am tired of the "Conservative" government pussy footing around, tinkering with legislation and achieving nothing of substance. You want to know why you aren't in majority territory? You are acting like Liberals. You want to stay in government so bad that you are compromising your principles, you are NOT listening to your constituents anymore, you actually alienate them because you are so scared that they might say something that will reflect badly on you.

Well bull-crap! Grow some balls. Get some crime legislation that has teeth passed, even if it means going to an election to do it. The lefties lost Toronto because they are out of touch with the people who vote, Conservatives are starting to make the same mistake. We need to get rid of the HRC's, we need more judges that will stand up for the victims and stop letting the criminals go because they might have suffered a bad family life. We need Parliament to make the laws, NOT the judges. That's just the start, but as the lefties love to say about the gun registry, if it saves only one life, like that of Kimberly, then it would be worth it!

I pray that Kimberly's family has the strength to endure the ordeal that they have been living with, and that we, as Canadians, can stand up with them and offer them our support. Let us honour Kimberly, by closing our eyes and imagining what she went through, let us never forget that she is the victim of cold blooded murder. She is now cold, and those two "teenagers" that caused it still have warm blood pumping their black hearts, and their evil minds. They need serious jail time.

Close your eyes and imagine....

Food Nazis!

Food Nazis: A Rockefeller Foundation-funded "elitist" who advocates "fat taxes" (ex. CSPI), banning fat people from restaurants (ex. MeMe Roth), forcing fat people to pay more for airline tickets (ex. MeMe Roth), and genetically-modified food while they also smear organic food (ex. CSPI and the Center for Consumer Freedom).
Food Nazis are attacking our freedom of choice! They want a tax on pop, and subsidies for poor people to buy food, BUT they aren't nanny-state meanies, because they aren't BANNING anything. These are PhD's who need to get off their duffs and talk to real people, not their computers.

An expert panel commissioned by the Heart and Stroke Foundation is urging governments to slap a tax on sugared soft drinks, subsidize the poor to eat fruit and vegetables and give farmers incentives to grow more fresh produce, in a novel new take on Canada’s obesity epidemic.
....
The group’s fiscal-policy approach to the obesity issue is bound to generate controversy. Its lead author insists, however, that the soda-tax and other proposals do not represent nanny-state intervention into diet and behaviour.
“We’re not banning these items. It is trying to signal to the consumer that you should try to consume less of it,” said Guy Faulkner, a University of Toronto professor of health and exercise psychology. “If we think that obesity is a serious public-health issue ... then ultimately economic measures will have to be part of the arsenal.”
How "out to lunch" can these guys be? Seriously, food nazis now? They want farmers to grow "fresh" produce? Hello, what are they producing now, "stale" produce? How about they get rid of the Quebec milk and cheese marketing boards and see how fast the price of those healthy products decrease? While they are at it, they can get rid of the poultry, egg and wheat marketing boards as well! Why is the government forcing up the prices of all the natural healthy products? Ask the producers who have quotas!

How about instead of subsidies for poor families, you show them how to plant and harvest "fresh" veggies? Urban gardens are popular these days, except they take work. Grow veggies on Toronto's city hall roof! Then show them how to cook them too, as I am pretty sure many have no idea what to do with a "fresh" pea! (I know this because I have my peas out by the back alley and no kids "raid" the peas, they think they are beans! Some of them will eat my raspberries, so they like fruits at least.)

Remember that old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink, I think it applies here. Even in my house where we eat natural healthy, home cooked foods, my youngest son will always grab a pop if given the choice, while my eldest grabs for the milk. None of us have weight problems, even my junk food youngest son. If he did have weight problems, as the parent, I would monitor what he was eating more closely, but I want the government to stop trying to tell me and my family what to do and what to eat!

How about the greenies get out there right now (-10C) and show us how it's done! They want the 100 kilometer rule for buying our food, what do we grow in the winter? What? I can't grow anything in the winter, except in a greenhouse which uses tonnes of gas heat and needs CO2? No, really? Luckily we can import "fresh" produce from the US during the winter. I bet the CO2 from one truckload of "fresh" tomatoes from California in the winter, is way less than a greenhouse.

Is their no one who wants to take personal responsibility for their own actions and lives anymore? Can we stop with the banning, and the taxing, and the give aways to everyone with a sad story? Butt out of my life, leave my family alone!

Our Disgusting Media.

As a Conservative Albertan, I watched the Toronto mayoralty race with interest. What amazed me was the disgusting media portraying Ford as "fat". That was their mantra. Now that Ford has won, what does the media do? This:

Over at CBC they have an article about "Ontarians" choosing mayors, NOTHING about Ford winning in Toronto!

CTV has Ford winning as mayor of Toronto, but they are not allowing any comments. HA. Chickens.

If Smithsonian man had won, you can bet that it would be the lead story at both CBC and CTV. Ford winning, not so much. Toronto just suffered an earthquake, and the media, shrugged and ignored it after perpetrating the whole "anybody but Ford" campaign.  No wonder they are losing money, they just blew off 50% of the voters in Toronto. Dummies. They just can't see what we see. They hang around all their Liberal/progressive buddies and don't even try to understand our point of view. That's why lefties are loosing at all levels of government. We are watching you, and we don't like what we see.

Sharia Stinks!

I had a fight with my MALE MP because I wrote on my blog that Islam suppresses women. He thought I was being too harsh. I thought he was being blind to the problems of Sharia. We both decided to agree to disagree.

I don't think males understand the fear that females have about sharia. I do not want to have to bow down to Muslim males. I fought hard to achieve the career I have now, I think ALL women should have the same chance, but sharia will not allow Muslim females to achieve their goals. We are seeing sharia creep into our justice system with the ruling that a female can cover her face when testifying. It is a slow progression, but it is happening. Journalists are afraid to report about anything Muslim, we saw that with their refusal to show the cartoons depicting Mohammad. Now our MP's are doing the same thing, they are refusing to acknowledge that Islam is a danger to women. Maybe they should listen to a Muslim about the issue:

Wafa Sultan is a strong voice in support of Muslim women and ultimately all women. Funny how feminists ignore her and her message. I want my MP to come out of the dark and support those females who are brave enough to stand up against sharia. I do not want to wear a sack, I do not want to have to be accompanied by a male representative wherever I go. I do not want my female grandchildren mutilated, and I do not want them subjected to a harsh environment of suppression and servitude to males.  I do not want the government to follow political correctness, but I'm afraid that they have already been compromised.  It's time for the silent majority to get LOUD!

The Eco-God!

First there was global cooling, and when that didn't happen the Eco-God frowned. Then we got global warming, and when that didn't happen the Eco-God got mad and told his subjects to get it right! The eco-weenies thought and thought and thought, and came up with climate change, and then the Eco-God was content. Eco-God knew that climate change is always happening, so Eco-God was happy.

Eco-God sent his apostles across the globe to spread the gospel of eco-cap and trade. Eco-God wanted the transfer of money from the eco-rich to the eco-poor. Gore and Suzuki called for the jailing of "deniers", those heretics that would not believe in man made global warming, and the Eco-God smiled down on them as they counted their eco-money.

Then the apostles were caught making stuff up to support their cause, and they went into hiding. They listened to the Eco-God when they were in their caves, and obeyed his orders to create "shock and awe" to wake up the non-believers. Blowing up school children is okay by the Eco-God, as long as the message gets across to people.

Make stuff up, scare people and make sure that you get the money says Eco-God! And the Eco-soldiers march in lock step towards their end.

Global cooling they shout:
  No, we mean global warming:
Eco-God frowned down on his subjects, and thundered the command to scare people with a harmless substance, something that was common to all the worlds people, and the eco-weenies came up with CO2! This was a devil created substance that plants took in and exchanged for oxygen. Too much CO2 would be a bad thing, the zombies cried. Eco-God was happy, mega bucks for a free substance, what a perfect scam!

The apostles shout that too much CO2 will be dangerous, except that it has been documented that CO2 encourages plant growth:

Too little CO2 will starve the world of oxygen and reduce lush plant areas to this:

Eco-God is hungry and demands that his followers obey his dictates. Money for a false God is demanded. Track the money and Eco-God gets exposed as a crass, false god, with no morals and only wants to rob from the productive to give to the unproductive.

If Syncrude has to pay 3 million for 1600 ducks, then the eco-companies who put up the huge wind turbines must pay for dead birds as well. According to one poster:

What a laugh
October 23rd 2010, 1:15am
Grant provides the number of animals killed by windmills etc every year (22,464.) Syncrude is paying $1875 per duck. 22,464 x 1875 = $42,120,000. Thats 42 million to Mr. Mike Hudema of Greenpeace. Only makes sense since they like to hit people in their pocketbooks. What's good for the goose... Hope that doesn't cut into your protest budget for China and Saudi Arabia Mr. Hudema... What a laugh.
Greenpeace owes us 42 million for all the dead birds those wind turbines have killed in one year. The courts have now set it into law. Someone needs to sue the green companies for all those deaths! I hope Prentice is on those folks. I am so sick of being beaten over the head day in and day out by a group of juvenile university preppies who think they know it all and have nothing better to do than chain themselves to trees to make their point. Let them stay chained to those trees, bowing down to Eco-God, I am busy making a living for my family. I refuse to go make my kids go back into caves!

Eco-God can take an eco-friendly leap off the nearest cliff, maybe all that CO2 will break his fall!

Friday Night Funnies: Tired Dog

An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard.
I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.

He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head;
He then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the
Hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep.
An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.

The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour.
This continued off and on for several weeks.

Curious I pinned a note to his collar: 'I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is
And ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.'

The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar:
'He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 - he's trying to catch up on his sleep.
Can I come with him tomorrow?

ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN COURT DOCKET 12659 ---
A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus.
She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her.
She immediately moved to another seat.
This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again.
The man seemed more amused.
When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing,
she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court.

The judge asked the man (about 20 years old)
what he had to say for himself.

The man replied,
'Well your Honor, it was like this:
when the lady got on the bus,
I couldn't help but notice her condition.
She sat down under a sign that said,
'The Double Mint Twins are coming' and I grinned.
Then she moved and sat under a sign that said,
'Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling,' and I had to smile.
Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said,
'William's Big Stick Did the Trick,' and I could hardly contain myself.
But, Your Honor, when she moved the fourth time
and sat under a sign that said,
'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident!'
... I just lost it.'

'CASE DISMISSED!!'

Liberals Can't Stand Strong Conservative Women!

It started out with Rona Ambrose as Minister of the Environment, she went to get her hair done, and they made an international incident out of it. Then they attacked Bev Oda for cutting funds to the SOWS, when all she had done was redirect them to actual woman's shelters and away from lefty academics writing papers about the difference between urban and rural females. Then they proceeded to attack every Conservative female Minister and now they are down to attacking ANY Conservative female MP. Don't Liberal MP's feel just a little creepy about attacking a female? Guess not. Not that our Conservative women need help in fighting off a Liberal attack...kind of like swatting a fly with the fly swatter....they are pesky, but easy to aim at! HA!

Poor Iggy was under fire from Candice Hoeppner, and his FEMALE Liberal MP's had to save him! That's just too funny. Good job Jane Taber, making Iggy the victim of a female attack, that really gives him some balls now doesn't it? NOT. Dang my stomach hurts from laughing so much!

Liberals are criticizing Tory MP Candice Hoeppner for attacking Michael Ignatieff in a committee hearing Tuesday, a day when all parties agreed to support a women’s advocacy group’s “Decorum Day” on the Hill.
Ms. Hoeppner, however, makes no apologies. A tenacious MP, she was simply trying to point out what she perceives as the hypocrisy of the Liberal Leader’s position.
 .......
One of the Liberals – long-time B.C. MP Hedy Fry – came to his defence several times, interrupting Ms. Hoeppner, who she felt was not allowing him time to answer.
Seriously, as a Conservative female blogger, I understand what the lefties do. They swarm a blog, spout filth, cheer each other on and think that calling me a CU-T is an indication of their intelligence, and that's only the low class female lefties. The lefties try to stop female Conservative bloggers from posting by intimidation. They can't handle the fact that Conservative women don't want to be victims like the feminists. They can't stand the fact that we look at them and see weak individuals who can't survive without government funding. They can't stand the fact that we are not baby killers, and that we have morals. We get married, have a family and careers, and enjoy all that life has to offer. They abort their babies, never commit to a relationship for long and think variety in their love life makes them "interesting" (Belinda is a good example). No wonder they are so shrill and unhappy.  Read the comments on the article, so many male metroweenies bowing down to feminists shouldn't be missed.

I haven't even mentioned Sara Palin, that always makes lefty heads spin!

I am going to leave my comments open, let's see what evolves. Be respectful but not timid.  Stay on point and no personal attacks. Like this newspaper says:

Editor's Note: Comments that appear on the site are not the opinion of The Globe and Mail, but only of the comment writer. Personal attacks, offensive language and unsubstantiated allegations are not allowed.

Stop Funding Dictators And Despots!

Seriously, Africa has been a basket case for decades, and all the aid being poured into various countries on that continent has done nothing but support corrupt governments.

Here's a thought. Stop funding dictators and despots! I know that's radical and not very progressive. It might even be worthy of an HRC investigation for "hurt" feelings. Hope I have Ezra as my lawyer!

So much for Obama's allegiance to us

What did we do to earn this passionate indifference from our closest friend?
No other nation has shed proportionately as much blood in Afghanistan as we have, not even the magnificent British. Is there a more reliable friend, ally or generous trading partner than us? Have we not opened up our oil pipelines to them? Did we not go along with their foolish bailout of General Motors?
What more did we have to do for a mere vote?
So much for U.S. President Barack Obama’s allegiance. What about his own national interest? Would it not be to his advantage to have us on the Security Council with him, instead of a deeply indebted, socialist European country (but I repeat myself)? Portugal has a population smaller than Ontario’s and an economy smaller than Alberta’s.
Obama is the big pretender, he has been busy slapping down US allies and bowing to US enemies. I wait patiently for his wings to be clipped on Nov 2. I hope Americans take away his majorities in the Congress and the Senate.

What is happening with our taxpayer donations to foreign countries? How about this:

Ethiopia using Canadian aid as a political weapon, rights group says

The Canadian government says it is “deeply concerned” by a report that its foreign aid to Ethiopia is being used as a weapon to crush political dissent and bolster the power of the ruling party.
The federal government, which provided more than $150-million to Ethiopia in 2008, is calling for a full investigation into the allegations that Ethiopia’s ruling party is routinely using aid money to reward supporters and punish those who fail to support it.
.......

Responding to questions on Tuesday, Mr. Cantin said Canada’s aid to Ethiopia can be suspended if the authorities fail to meet the conditions that are attached to the aid, including a pledge that the aid must reach the targeted beneficiaries.
Surveys by CIDA suggest that its aid is reaching those who need help, he said. “CIDA takes allegations of aid politicization seriously,” he said, “and together with the international community, will participate in efforts to strengthen safeguards where necessary.”
Maybe it's time for CIDA to be investigated! SURVEYS suggest???? I thought the CIDA was a hands on agency? They are going to close down the aid only now, after the scandal has come to light? Are they kidding us? We need to look at the CIDA and what they are doing with our money, and we need a strong Minister on the file. I know Bev Oda is an oriental female from Ontario so that makes her a politically prime candidate as a Minister, that doesn't mean she is competent.  She is weak in question period and obviously the civil servants at International Cooperation and CIDA are running the show. It's time to only give aid that we can distribute directly.

No more "surveys" CIDA, we want to see you on the ground in Ethiopia getting the aid to the people, not the corrupt government.

CeltWarrior

9:58 PM on October 19, 2010
first - close down CIDA - they are useless bunch of self-serving idiots.
second - stop dealing with foreign govts
third - select a number of well known, well run Canadian NGO's (none with religious connections though - aid should not come with a religious string)
forth - give CIDA budget to NGO's
fifth - stand back and watch the job get done

The job being getting aid to where it is intended in a timely fashion to those who can help. Otherwords local NGO's (NOT churches btw). The NGO community knows each other and who can is efficient and who is not, who can be trusted and who can not.
I was on one assignment and a big cruise type river ship went past. The NGO's all looked and said 'There goes CIDA (staff)' - more concerned about their own creature comforts.
Two Cdn NGO's come to mind but this may not be the place to mention them
Interesting, even at the Globe and Mail, some comment's support my position. I disagree with the assertion that "religious" organizations should be excluded, if you look at who is really on the ground in those countries, it's not CIDA, it's the charitable organizations, often, church groups that raised the money to get there. Think back to Haiti.

This is not about political parties or religious groups, it's about the aid that Canadian taxpayers give to help the poorest countries. That aid needs to reach those who really need it and not the dictators.  We can not continue to do things the liberal, progressive way, it's not working but try to explain that to the bureaucrats.

Stop funding dictators and despots! They not only stabbed Canadians in the back re the UN vote, they are happy to stab their own people in the back as well.

Greenies Getting "Dirty" Money!

Hey Quebec...are you with us? Shale gas? Is that eco-friendly Quebec? Are you ready to join Alberta in the energy fight or are you going to restrict development of your resources because of your eco-snobbery? You are so used to looking down on all of us because your province was blessed with hydro-power opportunities (stolen from Newfoundland) instead of coal. Now, you need to decide,  do you stay with your eco-snobbery, or do you get in the energy game? Think mega good paying jobs for Quebecors!

Good luck, because if you do jump into the game be prepared for the greenies to come after you with lots of American dollars.

US cash vs Oil Sands!

...If the campaign against oil tankers were to succeed in Vancouver, overseas exports of Canadian oil would be blocked and Canada would be stuck with only one major customer for Alberta oil: the United States. That's the trade-off.

Like most protests, the one against oil tankers has all the look and feel of a Canadian grassroots movement. The campaign against Alberta's oil sands also seems to rise out of the people, but the interesting thing is that there are very few roots under that grass. Money comes in from a small core of U.S. charitable groups. One of those groups -- the U.S. Tides Foundation of California (Tides U.S.) and its Canadian counterpart have paid millions to at least 36 campaign organizations. (See list at right.)
All the money, at least US$6-million, comes from a single, foreign charity. The Tides U.S. campaign against Alberta oil is a campaign against one of Canada's most important industries. It's fair for Canadians to inquire about who's funding this campaign and why. The trouble is, nobody knows.
...These Big Five have poured at least US$190-million into Canada's environmental movement over the last decade, but their American logos are nowhere to be seen. Instead, we see a pageant of Canadian icons: dogwood, herds of caribou, wild salmon, First Nations and loons. U.S. tax returns show that the David Suzuki Foundation has been paid at least US$10-million from American foundations. This hasn't exactly been out in the open.
Very, very interesting read, and she has way more information at her site. Like this breakdown of who is getting all the American money:

And look at this little breakdown of donations to fight the oil sands: (Corporate Ethics obviously has no ethics!)

And they jap about how "deniers" get big money from "big oil"? Talk about hypocrites! They never actually provide any facts about the "big oil" donations to scientists who are "deniers". Look at those organizations who are getting funded from the US to shut down one of Canada's economic engines, the oil sands. Hold them to account for that funding. Boycott HP, let them feel the heat of pressure groups against them for a change.

It is time for us "deniers" to start calling out every eco-nut and their eco-schemes. They are hiding now, when they aren't busy blowing up school children to make their twisted point! It's time to take away charitable status if they will not reveal their funding donors. It is time for us to go after any politician that spouts "green" plans, (McGuinty anyone?) make them explain how the extra cost will benefit our society, don't just take what they or the greenies say as the truth! The greenies are getting "dirty" money from foreign charities to shut down the oil sands.....time to fight back, Quebec are you with us?

Voting The Clowns Out!

Democratic strategists acknowledged they are abandoning a dozen House seats the party now holds, as they try to salvage their majority in the chamber by shoring up candidates with better chances.
With Republicans expanding their advertising to broaden the field of competitive races, Democrats are shifting resources to help such senior lawmakers as House Budget Committee Chairman John Spratt (D., S.C.), and to head off Republicans in usually safe Massachusetts, where a southeast district that includes Cape Cod is competitive for the first time in decades.
It should be interesting to see if the Republicans can take away Obama's total power by winning the House back. On Monday, I get to vote for our mayor and councilor.  It hasn't been quite as exciting as the race for mayor in Toronto, but it still counts for the direction our city goes in. Here are the picks by Envision Edmonton, the group that got the petition to keep the city center airport open going:

Your Vote is Your Voice

On October 18th Envision Edmonton asks you to vote for the Mayoral candidate David Dorward, A man who has "A head for business, and a heart for people".

David is clearly a supporter of democracy and as such assisted with volunteer appreciation initiatives for Envision Edmonton volunteers.

David wants Edmontonians to know that his key issues involve;

1.  Responsible LRT development

2.  Crime Reduction and Public Safety

3.  Freezing Property Tax hikes

4.  $600 Annual Property Tax Rebate for Seniors

5.  Reducing Legacy Projects and enhancing core services

6.  Giving Edmontonians the voice they deserve

Ward by Ward Picks

Envision Edmonton supports Candidates in the Edmonton Civic Election that support Democracy.  Let the people decide the Airport issue like they did in 1992 & 1995.  In both cases the public voted to keep the Edmonton City Center Airport open.

We therefore provide the following names of pro democracy candidates that support your right to decide the issue of on-going operations of the city Center Airport.

MAYOR-  David Dorward (780) 989-9980

Ward 1 - Linda Sloan (780) 756-1321

Ward 2 - Don Koziak  (780) 732-4576

Ward 3 - Terry Demers  (780) 893-8683

Ward 4 - Dan Backs (780) 994-0000

Ward 5 - Steve Bergeron (780) 970-2289

Ward 6 - James Johnson (780) 801-4618

Ward 7 - Tony Caterina  (780) 328-3113

Ward 8 - Lori Jeffery-Heaney  (780) 909-7249

Ward 9 - Calvin Lim  (780) 669-9879

NO pro democracy candidate is running in Ward 10

Ward 11 - Kerry Diotte (780) 700-8806

Ward 12 - Chuck McKenna  (780) 952-3227

Please get out on October 18th and vote!  YOUR VOTE IS YOUR VOICE!
Unfortunately, I'm in Ward 10, with no pro-democracy candidate. My two choices are Iveson, the creator of the socialist program U-Pass which makes ALL university and college students pay for those who ride the bus, and Slemko, a last minute entry to make sure that Iveson did not get acclaimed. I will go with Slemko, who is a business person and at least has a slight idea about what it takes to run a city.
I don't really care who you vote for, but at least get out there and vote!

And, speaking of exams......

THE FINAL EXAM. . .teachers are going to love this one!!

At the U of A, there were four sophomores taking chemistry and all of them had an 'A' so far. These four friends were so confident that, the weekend before finals, they decided to visit some friends and have a big party. They had a great time but, after all the hearty partying, they slept all day Sunday and didn't make it back to the university until early Monday morning.

Rather than taking the final then, they decided that after the final they would explain to their professor why they missed it. They said that they visited friends but on the way back they had a flat tire. As a result, they missed the final. The professor agreed they could make up the final the next day. . . The guys were excited and relieved. . . They studied that night for the exam.

The next day the Professor placed them in separate rooms and gave them a test booklet. They quickly answered the first problem worth 5 points. Cool, they thought! Each one in separate rooms, thinking this was going to be easy. . . . then they turned the page. On the second page was written. . .

For 95 points:        Which tire? _________

Subject: The Golfer and the Hitman

Two old friends were just about to tee off at the first hole of their local
golf course when a guy carrying a golf bag called out to them, 'Do you mind if
I join you? My partner didn't turn up.'

'Sure,' they said, 'You're welcome.' So they started playing and enjoyed the
game and the company of the newcomer.

Part way around the course, one of the friends asked the newcomer, 'What do
you do for a living?'
'I'm a hit man,' was the reply.
'You're joking!' was the response.
'No, I'm not,' he said, reaching into his golf bag, and pulling out a
beautiful Martini sniper's rifle with a large telescopic sight. 'Here are my
tools.'
'That's a beautiful telescopic sight,' said the other friend, 'Can I take a
look? I think I might be able to see my house from here.' So he picked up the
rifle and looked through the sight in the direction of his house.
'Yeah, I can see my house all right. This sight is fantastic. I can see right
in the window.' 'Wow, I can see my wife in the bedroom... Ha Ha, I can see
she's naked!! Wait a minute, that's my neighbor in there with her... He's
naked, too!!!
He turned to the hit man, 'How much do you charge for a hit?'
'I'll do a flat rate, for you, one thousand dollars every time I pull the
trigger.'
'Can you do two for me now?'
'Sure, what do you want?'
'First, shoot my wife, she's always mouthing off, so shoot her in the mouth.'
'Then the neighbor, he's a friend of mine, so just shoot his dick off to teach
him a lesson.'
The hit man took the rifle and took aim, standing perfectly still for a few
minutes.
'Are you going to do it or not?' said the friend impatiently.
'Just be patient,' said the hit man calmly, 'I think I can save you a grand
here...'

Hypnotism at the Senior Center

It was entertainment night at the Senior Center. Claude the hypnotist
exclaimed: 'I'm here to put you all into a trance. I intend to hypnotize
each and every member of the audience.'

The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique
pocket watch from his coat. The polished metal gleamed in the light.

Claude the hypnotist said: 'I want you each to keep your eyes on this
antique watch. It's a very special watch. It's been in my family for six
generations.'

He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting,
'Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch.'

The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light
shimmering off its polished surface. Hundreds of pairs of eyes followed the
swaying watch until, suddenly, it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and
fell to the floor, shattering into a hundred pieces.

'SHIT!' said the hypnotist.

It took 3 days to clean up the Senior Center.

The Cherokee County Sheriff Department reported finding a man's body last Saturday in the Spring River near the Empire Electric Plant. The dead man's name would not be released until his family had been notified.

The victim apparently drowned due to excessive beer consumption
while visiting "someone" in nearby Riverton , KS .

He was wearing black fishnet stockings, a red garter belt, a pink
G-string, purple lipstick, and an Obama T-shirt.

The police removed the Obama T-shirt to spare his family any
unnecessary embarrassment.

Proof that the police do care.

 Subject: Acetaminophen

Example, the trade name is Tylenol and! it's generic name is Acetaminophen.. Aleve is also called Naproxen.

Amoxil is also called Amoxicillin and Advil is also called Ibuprofen.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra.

After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin.
Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer..
It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one.

Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of 'cocktails', 'highballs' and just a good old-fashioned 'stiff drink'.

Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: MOUNT & DO.

Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research.

This means that by 2020, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For your silly time wasting enjoyment, how long are you going to live? I'm going to live to ripe old age of 91.5.....not sure if I will know who I am by then, but oh well, you only live once!

Calculate your life expectancy!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enjoy your weekend. Taking my oldest to the NAIT open house, maybe he will find something to interest him there! Oh, right those answers to the easy quiz (remember you only need 3 right).......

Eco Slap Down, Aliens And Halloween! RADICAL!

No, this is not the Friday Night Funnies, but it should be! Stick with me now, it will all make perfect sense to someone out there! HA!

The start, the chickens are coming home to roost:

Lawrence Solomon: Global warming propagandist slapped down

William Connolley, arguably the world’s most influential global warming advocate after Al Gore, has lost his bully pulpit. Connolley did not wield his influence by the quality of his research or the force of his argument but through his administrative position at Wikipedia, the most popular reference source on the planet.

Through his position, Connolley for years kept dissenting views on global warming out of Wikipedia, allowing only those that promoted the view that global warming represented a threat to mankind. As a result, Wikipedia became a leading source of global warming propaganda, with Connolley its chief propagandist.

His career as a global warming propagandist has now been stopped, following a unanimous verdict that came down today through an arbitration proceeding conducted by Wikipedia. In the decision, a slap-down for the once-powerful Connolley by his peers, he has been barred from participating in any article, discussion or forum dealing with global warming. In addition, because he rewrote biographies of scientists and others he disagreed with, to either belittle their accomplishments or make them appear to be frauds, Wikipedia barred him — again unanimously — from editing biographies of those in the climate change field.

Then we get this, the guy is a serial repressive:

Wikipedia climate revisionism by William Connolley continues

Apparently Wikipedia’s own attempt at self policing problem editors isn’t working. Despite being up for a restriction or a ban, rogue Wiki editor (and Real Climate co-founder) William Connolley is still removing anything he doesn’t like when it comes to climate science. This time it’s wholesale removal of any reference to the American Physical Society resignation letter of physicist Hal Lewis, who resigned over the APS global warming position:

Which leads to this example of where the whole CO2 is dangerous shtick leads...into the twilight zone:

Retired NORAD Officer's New Book Predicts a Tentative Worldwide UFO Display on October 13, 2010
A newly-published book by a retired NORAD officer predicts October 13, 2010 as the tentative date for a fleet of extraterrestrial vehicles to hover for hours over the earth's principal cities. Author says the event to be the first in a series intended to avert a planetary catastrophe resulting from increasing levels of carbon-dioxide in the earth's atmosphere dangerously approaching a "critical mass."

And finally, I think this shows where greenies are heading with their CO2 is evil propaganda:

Moose Jaw Halloween fundraiser cancelled for ‘inviting evil’
It was not long after sending out the fall issue of its newsletter announcing a Halloween fundraiser that the Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw started receiving complaints; pastors came to the museum in person, emails and phone calls rolled in and concerns from church groups and community members were expressed to politicians saying the planned seance and ghost walk was “inviting evil” into the community.
Is there a full moon coming up? Environmentalism is now a religion. Or should I say that RADICAL environmentalists are to blame for climate change scare tactics, so I don't get into trouble? It seems that as long as you put RADICAL in front of whatever group you are talking about, it becomes politically acceptable these days. So, I'm not blaming ALL environmentalists for climate fraud, just the RADICAL ones! Now, you decide who are the RADICALS, and who aren't!

When environmentalists try to change the facts or restrict them, they become as bad as those fringe religions with total nutcakes as their "ministers". Halloween, aliens and environmentalists are now a perfect match, and environmentalists did it to themselves. They have lost all credibility, and their cause is a big failure.
Too bad, if they would have stuck with REAL pollution of our air, land and water, we would still be with them, but they couldn't help jumping the shark!

Dictators 1 Canada 0

I am very disappointed that Canada did not get a seat on the security council, not because I wanted us to, but because it shows how regressive the UN has become. What started out as an excellent idea for world peace has denigrated into a bunch of dictators and despots determining policy at the UN.

My lefty office mate laughed when I told him we had withdrawn, he actually laughed, that shows me the low level that lefties have stooped to. They are more interested in winning power, than supporting Canada. They prefer pandering to dictators and bringing Canada down, than actually supporting our government, elected by Canadians.

What no one seems to want to state as the real reason for Canada not getting a seat on the security council, is Canada's strong support of Israel. This would have been a serious problem to Iran, who is intent on getting nuclear weapons. We might have been the deciding vote to allow the bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities. The Muslim countries have a majority, Canada had no chance of winning. Why we even tried is beyond me.

What lefties fail to understand is that Conservatives would prefer a principled stand on the world stage, instead of the Liberal ass kissing of the past.

As far as I'm concerned, let's stop all foreign donations to dictatorships, if, as the lefties tell us, our foreign policy is so wrong, we need to stop aid. I'm sure the NDP will back up new plans to build low income housing with all that saved money!

Could the oil producing Muslim nations be trying to marginalize Canada for their own monetary gains? Are they funding our "green" groups like Sierra Club or Pembina? I don't know, but if we had any real journalists left in Canada, they might write a great article about it.

I asked my hubby about losing the security council spot, he looked at me, and asked if this was something he was supposed to know about. That will be the typical Canadian reaction.

What saddens me most is that the UN has been taken over by countries who think stoning a women to death is a religious obligation. That honour killings are a cultural obligation, and that female's can't go to school or even drive a car. The feminists are strangely silent on this oppression of woman's rights.

This loss for Canada points out how corrupt the UN has become. I say, get out and save taxpayers money.

Hug A Thug, I prefer Jail A Thug!

Funny how First Nations people can beat a man in Caladonia and nothing is done. But let a shop owner grab and hold a thief and it's not the thief who is charged it's the shop owner! This really disgusts me.

Our Liberal justice system is screwed up. The criminals are coddled, and the law abiding citizens are charged. If this is a case of making an example of a citizen who takes the law into his own hands, then I suggest as citizens that we carry weapons to protect ourselves, as the police are useless. It saddens me to no end that our police, people I used to look up to and respect, have become such political pawns.

Rex, let's them have it in this article. You go Rex!

I found myself thinking of that limited code, and the severity of its particular judgment, because of David Chen — the immigrant Chinese grocer who fell so painfully and bizarrely afoul of the law here in Toronto, and whose trial, fitfully, was undertaken this week.

All of Toronto and most of the country knows his story by now. How he spotted a chronic shoplifter-thief (on the thief’s second visit to his store in a single morning), chased him, caught him and threw him bound in a van while he (Chen) waited for the police to show up.

What followed had most of the country in a fit of anger and puzzlement when it got out. The police charged the young, hard labouring, non-thief, Mr. Chen — with kidnapping, forcible confinement, assault and carrying a dangerous weapon. (Chen was carrying boxcutters — a normal tool for a man who works in a grocery store.) Anyone with a still functioning mind who’s heard of this case cannot understand what the Toronto police and prosecutors were thinking when they laid this raft of original charges. Apparently outrage and mockery — I can’t think what else — led to the police dropping the kidnapping and “possession of boxcutter” charges, but they insisted on proceeding to trial on the other “offences.”

What a disgrace for our police and the prosecutor who should have dropped the charges outright. The expense for Mr. Chen in defending himself should be paid for by the police force that charged him, let it come out of their budget. My Canada does not include prosecuting innocent people, and letting the thugs go free. A more disgraceful display of how our justice system is broken has never been seen before. The Liberal "hug a thug" mentality is at work and thriving in Ontario. Funny how the First Nations people can get away with beating up an innocent man, but an innocent shopkeeper gets charged for apprehending a thief, and the thief walks free!

Hug a thug? I prefer Jail a thug!

Why I'm divorced . . .
Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning..
I went downstairs for breakfast
hoping my wife would be pleasant and say,
'Happy Birthday!',
and possibly have a small present for me.
As it turned out,
she barely said good morning,
let alone
' Happy Birthday.'
I thought....
Well, that's marriage for you,
but the kids....
They will remember.
My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast
and didn't say a word..
So when I left for the office,
I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.
As I walked into my office,
my secretary Jane said,
'Good Morning Boss, and by the way
Happy Birthday ! '
It felt a little better
that at least someone had remembered.
I worked until one o'clock ,
when Jane knocked on my door
and said, 'You know,
It's such a beautiful day outside,
and it is your Birthday,
what do you say we go out to lunch,
just you and me..'
I said, 'Thanks, Jane, that's the greatest thing
I've heard all day. Let's go !'
We went to lunch.
But we didn't go where we normally would go.
She chose instead a quiet bistro
with a private table.
We had two martinis each
and I enjoyed the meal tremendously.
On the way back to the office,
Jane said, 'You know,
It's such a beautiful day...
We don't need to go straight back to the office,
Do We ?'
I responded, 'I guess not.
What do you have in mind ?'
She said,
'Let's drop by my apartment,
it's just around the corner..'
After arriving at her apartment,
Jane turned to me and said,
' Boss, if you don't mind,
I'm going to step into the bedroom
for just a moment.
I'll be right back.'
'Ok.' I nervously replied.
She went into the bedroom and,
after a couple of minutes,
she came out
carrying a huge birthday cake ...
Followed
by my wife, my kids,
and dozens of my friends
and co-workers,
all singing 'Happy Birthday'.
And I just sat there....
On the couch....

Naked.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is awesome....everybody cut loose!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On that note, I end this Friday night funnies. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Liberals, Digging Up The Dead!

I find it interesting how the Liberals can always find some retired public servant to spout Liberal nonsense and they become an instant "expert" in the eyes of the MSM.

Take this guy for instance:

Retired assistant deputy minister of materials Alan Williams — an expert who is hard to dismiss — took the parliamentary stand on Wednesday afternoon to denounce the lack of competition for $9-billion worth of fighter jets as likely to squander billions of tax dollars and lost business opportunities. Mr. Williams warned Defence Minister Peter MacKay’s logic on the F-35 file is “flawed,” and he’s taking public positions that “insults our intelligence.”

This is no opposition cheap shot.

This comes from a 33-year public servant who signed the memorandum of understanding in 2002 committing Canada to $100-million in funding to develop the F-35 stealth fighter. He’s even written a book on the subject: Reinventing Canadian Defence Procurement: A View From The Inside.

WOW! The guy was the one who signed Canada up for the F-35, now he's saying he didn't really mean to spend 100 million on research only? Are you kidding me? And Don (I want to be a TV host) Martin called him an expert? Expert in wasting our money maybe. They dug this guy up from the dead, labeled him an "expert", and we are supposed to think that he never in 33 years signed a non-compete deal? Give me a break.

“In terms of the individual you are talking about, his advice was very different at the time that he was actually paid to give it,” sniffed Mr. Harper during a brief media chat in Winnipeg.
SNIFFED?? Seriously? Was Martin writing this from his favorite Liberal bar? Martin obviously thinks he is writing a romance novel where Williams is being rejected by Harper. This whole article is written with the intent by Martin to get that job hosting Powerplay on CTV and smearing our PM is the way to do it with those folks.

Confronted by an insider warning against the sole-sourced purchase of a fighter jet dubbed the Flying Credit Card, a furious Stephen Harper on Thursday chose to attack the whistle-blower — and warn against massive aerospace job losses if opponents continue “playing politics” with the lives of Canadian troops.
Furious and attack, all in one sentence, impressive. Now this guy is a "whistle-blower? The guy who signed the $100 million cheque for the F-35 in the first place? Are you kidding me? He's a whistle blower of what? What is he blowing the whistle on? Liberals misspending 100 million of our taxpayer money? Martin, get your head out of that bottle, stop listening only to Liberals, and start reporting the news, not making it up.

Martin, as an "expert" in watching TV news, I hate to break it to you, but your voice is too juvenile and you look like an elf, not the best attributes a political TV host can have, plus you are too much of a Liberal toady for even CTV. I sniffingly have to tell you, your dreams of a TV career are unrealistic. Funny how everyone was shocked that Duffy was a Conservative, that tells me that he was fair and balanced, not something I would ever accuse Martin of, try running in Alberta as a Liberal MP. Now that would be fun to see. In the meantime, leave the dead alone, they need their rest, and their opinions are irrelevant for today.

Shame on the National Post for printing this garbage article.
