The Attack Of The Lefties....

We knew it was coming! Poor things, their funding is getting cut and they might have to actually get support from their friends, heaven forbid if a corporation offers them support.

This ninny should be happy with all the media attention she is getting because I had never heard of her before, and I don't want to promote her in anyway, but you have to watch her "performance" to get a sense of her "art", which has cost us taxpayers over a MILLION bucks so far. That is what I object to, our hard earned dollars going towards this garbage, oops, I mean "art"!

The interview.

The "artist".

I took modern dance in university, easy credits, no studying. I did not expect to make a career out of it, but I bet I could do just as good as Margie, without any tax dollars!

Expect more protests by lefties in the next 4 years. I hope every time they protest, their funding gets cut. I love to hear lefty whining. Margie could not explain why she deserved 1.2 MILLION dollars from taxpayers. By her protest, she sure shows that she expects us to support her in the style she is accustomed to, no going out and finding a sponsor for herself, that would be demeaning.

It actually makes me sick that a no-name talentless lefty like her gets 1.2 million in funding while deserving charities go begging. Dogs with Wings trains wonderful dogs to help disabled people and they get ZERO funding from the federal government. Hundreds of assistance dogs could be provided to disabled people with 1.2 million dollars. I thought lefties were interested in providing a better life for the people who can not provide for themselves. Hypocrites.

This prima donna wants her government funding even though she has no talent. She is not interested in helping the underprivileged. She is in it for herself. I want her to get all her 4,200 lefty buddies to send cheques to an organization like Dogs with Wings. I might respect her then, but she would never do that because it would take the ability to care for someone other than herself for that to happen. She's too egotistical to care for anyone but herself.

Expect other lefties to protest Sun News and our government because I smell more funding cuts coming, and that makes me happy. I am tired of my tax dollars automatically going to organizations that only help themselves.

Life Gets In The Way Sometimes!

Sorry for not posting everyday like I usually do, but life gets in the way sometimes. Our search for a greyhound continues, my heart needs to say yes when I see the dog. The adoption of a dog is one that must be right for everyone in the family, as the dog will be with us hopefully for 10 to 12 years. Our Dogs With Wings girl will be leaving us at the end of July, so we have some time yet.

We have also been busy with graduations, my youngest graduated from grade nine, thankfully boys don't need $300 garments for a 2 hour graduation! We just went to my other sons grade 12 graduation. I am so proud of both boys! I am really excited that my oldest is going to NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) in September, he has been accepted into media design and IT, he will be designing games.

I also have been involved in a very special gardening project. It's always rewarding to garden and grow vegetables for those who need nutrition the most. To bad the lefties talk a big game about helping the most needy, but they are nowhere to be seen actually helping the people they pretend to care for so much! Hypocrites!

Life can sometimes get really busy. All I want to do is lie out in the sun and read a good book, ........... maybe tomorrow.

Is A Dynasty About To Tumble?

Alberta politics can be boring, we elect the PC's election after election with majorities. It has been a good thing for Alberta. We are debt free and have no provincial sales tax, so we pay 5% GST and that's it. My Mom was complaining about the 12% HST and the 9% Carbon tax they pay in BC. That carbon tax doesn't go towards actually reducing CO2 or anything stupid like that, it goes into the provincial governments general revenues, to be used however the government wants. They should be having a referendum on the carbon tax, not the HST. The carbon tax is a fake tax designed to suck more money out of taxpayers to the benefit of the government coffers.

Back in Alberta, the politics are heating up. It looks like Wild Rose is gaining momentum and knocking on the PC door. Stelmach retired but is hanging on until the PC leadership race is complete. This is damaging the PC's. Last leadership election, I was hoping for Morton, now, I really don't care who the PC's elect, it will make no difference.

I am switching my vote to the Wild Rose. The PC's are stale, think they are entitled to rule Alberta, and are arrogant like liberals. The Wild Rose at least appear to be actual Conservatives. Is a dynasty about to tumble? I say, yes.

Friday Night Funnies: Husband Day Care

Norwegian Lottery;

Ole and Sven were waiting at the bus stop when a truck

went past loaded up with rolls of sod.

Ole said, “I’m gonna do dat when I win da lottery.”

“What's dat, den?” asks Sven.

“Send my lawn away to be mowed."

Jacob, age 92, and Rebecca, age 89, living in Miami, are all excited about their decision to get married. They go for a stroll to discuss the wedding and on the way they pass a drugstore. Jacob suggests they go in.

Jacob addresses the man behind the counter:

"Are you the owner?"

The pharmacist answers, "Yes."

Jacob: "We're about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?"

Pharmacist: "Of course, we do."

Jacob: "How about medicine for circulation?"

Pharmacist: "All kinds."

Jacob: "Medicine for rheumatism?"

Pharmacist: "Definitely."

Jacob: "How about suppositories?"

Pharmacist: "You bet!"

Jacob: "Medicine for memory problems, arthritis and Alzheimer's?"

Pharmacist: "Yes, a large variety. The Works."

Jacob: "What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antidotes for Parkinson's disease?"

Pharmacist: "Absolutely."

Jacob: "Everything for heartburn and indigestion?"

Pharmacist: "We sure do."

Jacob: "You sell wheelchairs and walkers and canes?"

Pharmacist: "All speeds and sizes."

Jacob: "Adult diapers?"

Pharmacist: "Sure."

Jacob: "We'd like to use this store as our Bridal Registry."
The one housing market that is growing:

After being married for thirty years....a wife asked her husband to describe her.

He looked at her slowly...then said, "You're A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K."
She asks..... "What does that mean?"

He said, "Adorable, Beautiful, Cute, Delightful, Elegant, Foxy, Gorgeous, Hot.
She smiled happily and said...."Oh, that's so lovely..... What about  I, J, K?"

He said, "I'm Just Kidding!"
His eye is still swollen....but it will get better.............
Thanks to social media coverage of the Stanley Cup riots, the Vancouver

Police Department has been able to identify many of the rioting suspects.

They are looking for 537 guys named Burrows, 931 named Kesler, 1768

named Sedin, and 2671 named Luongo.

Three women and three men are traveling by train to the football match.

At the station, the three men each buy a ticket and watch as the three women buy just one ticket.

'How are the three of you going to travel on only one ticket?' asks one of the men.

'Watch and learn,' answers one of the women.

They all board the train. The three men take their respective seats but all three women cram into a toilet together and close the door.

Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets.

He knocks on the toilet door and says, 'Ticket, please.. The door opens just a crack, and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand.   The conductor takes it and moves on.

The men see this happen and agree it was quite a clever idea; so, after the game, they decide to do the same thing on the return trip and save some money.

When they get to the station they buy a single ticket for the return trip but see, to their astonishment, that the three women don't buy any ticket at all!!

'How are you going to travel without a ticket?' says one perplexed man.

'Watch and learn,' answer the women.

When they board the train, the three men cram themselves into a toilet, and the three women cram into another toilet just down the way.

Shortly after the train is on its way, one of the women leaves her toilet and walks over to the toilet in which the men are hiding.

The woman knocks on their door and says, 'Ticket, please.'

I'm still trying to figure out why men ever think they are smarter than women.

Two young businessmen in Florida were sitting down for a break in their soon-to-be new store in the shopping mall. As yet, the store wasn't ready, with only a few shelves and display racks set up.

One said to the other, "I'll bet that any minute now some senior is going to walk by, put his face to the window, and ask what we're selling."

Sure enough, just a moment later, a curious senior gentleman walked up to the window, looked around intensely and rapped on the glass, then in a loud voice asked, "What are you sellin' here?"

One of the men replied sarcastically, "We're selling ass-holes."
Without skipping a beat, the oldtimer said, "You must be doing well. Only two left."
Seniors -- don't mess with them. They didn't get old by being stupid!
Have a great weekend! We are trying to put in a new patio, but the rain is stalling progress. At least I have my wood work to do on rainy days. I am seriously ticked with the weather guys who predicted a hot DRY summer.

No "Right" To Opt Out!

How is it that the Greek people don't understand that their country is broke? Iceland understood it and forced their government to NOT bail out the banks. Their economy is picking up again, so short term pain led to long term gains.

Greece is only the first in serious trouble, Ireland, Portugal, and Spain are next. New Zealand went through this years ago and they recovered by selling off state assets, changing their health system, and getting rid of subsidies to farmers and businesses. What the Greeks fail to understand is that no-one is willing to buy their bonds anymore.

“After all, the scale of Greece’s problems means that markets may be reluctant to lend to Greece after the second bail-out package expires. What’s more, given the widespread opposition to the additional austerity measures, there remains a risk that the Greek government might eventually choose to default, regardless of whether a bailout package is in place.”
At some point, Germany is going to stop propping up these EU nations and start saving itself. If you have a mortgage and can't make the payments, sooner or later someone is going to come and boot you out onto the street, and everything will be lost. Greece should start packing its bags.

I guess we should look at Canada and see how the greedy unions are acting the same as the Greek people, expecting the government to bow down to their demands. At some point, the goodies have got to end, and the socialists just don't understand why. The NDP wants the postal strike to continue. So far it hasn't impacted our family except for fewer flyers. It is however impacting businesses big time, but it appears that the NDP would prefer to support unions over businesses. Why am I shocked?

Unions take dues from people who have no "right" to opt out. If that isn't communism/socialism, I'm not sure what would qualify.  Unions can even force members to donate to the political party that they dictate to be, the one to vote for. Unions could use the money they appropriate from their members to fund pensions, but that would put the onus on them to succeed, and that is simply beyond them.

Where Is This? Help Me Find Out!

Last week, you helped me identify that strange bug as a hummingbird moth, now this week, I need you to identify where these pictures might be from. Why is it important to identify where the pictures are from? Because, the media will not show you these pictures, it does not fit into their agenda.

Looks like a beautiful peaceful place to me. So, where on earth could it be?? You tell me. Hint: the media likes to report on it like this:

Rain, Rain, and even more Rain!

I can't concentrate on politics when the weather is so very bad. We wait all winter for summer, for the heat, for the growing of vegetables and then we get smacked by Mother Nature with enough rain that I am considering building an ark.

The econuts can scream "global warming", "climate change" all they want, but when it comes down to day by day weather, they always get it wrong.  Just like the NDP are wrong headed.

Maybe the NDP should drop "socialist" from their mandate and go with "global warning, anti-Israel, union supporting" as their mantra. They are abrasive, rude and out of touch with Canadians. Jack and Olivia can move up, but that doesn't make them classy.

My husband made a really important statement today. He said that the Conservatives have got to get tough. He wants no more talk about the gun registry, he wants it gone. He wants the Conservatives to stop being wimps, and start implementing the agenda he voted for, he wants changes, not promises.

I agree that the Conservatives have got to show leadership, and they have to be Conservative, not liberal lite. Privatize the CBC, get rid of the gun registry, give western farmers choice by de-funding the CWB, and most importantly, get rid of the human rights commissions.

My husband is a fair weather voter, more liberal than conservative, so when he calls for tough measures, it is time for the Conservatives to listen.

CBC, A Taxpayer Bloodsucker!

Remember how all the lefties got their shorts in a knot about SUN News getting a CRTC license? They even got Americans and their money involved in the protest against a Conservative news station....yes, it seems lefties only hate Americans when Republicans are in charge. Even though SUN News was not asking for ANY taxpayer money, the lefties yelled, screamed and signed petitions against a station that might dare to express a different opinion on events that the lefties supported, like the huge money grabbing scam called "global warming". This was the end of Canada as we knew it, even though SUN News had not even been on air for one second. Your typical tolerant lefty, protest against anything that even hints at being Conservative. What are they scared of? Do they deep down in their guts understand that socialism is doomed to fail, so they don't want any opposition to their Robin Hood myth?

Well, SUN News is on air for some of us, and you can watch it on the internet. The world is still rotating and the lefties are still spinning, except now they are getting dizzy from all their circular thinking. SUN News is actually beating out CTV in the ratings after only a few months, and they are raining down on the CBC so hard that CBC is starting to smell like the sewer that rain water runs into.

Brian Lilley has been writing about the CBC and their failure to respect the Canadian taxpayers who fund them by bringing to light the fact that the CBC refuses to answer freedom of information requests. They are in court about it, and taxpayers are paying for their court costs, how sick is that?

Brian has a really good segment about the CBC and how they are up for renewal of their license. I know that Conservatives are not much for protesting on Parliament Hill or at universities, but if you have a computer, you can protest by emailing MP's, setting up facebook groups, or commenting on sites to get your position known. Here is a perfect opportunity to let the CRTC know how you think the CBC can be improved.

  • Joeblow
There is absolutely no way the CBC can be relevant or meaningful to the Canadian Public.  It is run with over 1 billion dollars yearly of taxpayers money, and feels it does not have to be accountable to anybody, therefore, does exactly whatever it wants.  This view was apparent again, during the CBC coverage of the Federal election with their reporting and obvious Liberal favoritism.  They just have too much federal money to be accountable and will fight, i.e. freedom of information in the court with our money.

That is only one comment out of so many that are calling for accountability on the part of CBC.

You can spend all day Sunday commenting on all these topics:

We know that the Conservative government is not going to privatize the CBC, so, it is up to us to help the CRTC move the CBC into what they really should be, a company that supports Canadian artists and our culture. Enough of CBC news and sports, sell the rights to HNIC to TSN and stop CBC from reporting the news. Make CBC into a Canadian cultural channel. Let them do documentaries on our Aboriginal people, and our history as an immigrant nation. Let them showcase our national ballet company, our great symphony orchestras, and our painters and artists. Isn't their mandate to do just that? They have no business competing against our private news companies when they get 1.1 BILLION of taxpayers money, that is not fair to those companies that have no funding. So, we either give them no taxpayer money or we persuade the CRTC to make CBC abide by their mandate, serving all Canadians by promoting our culture and diversity! That should keep them busy and out of the business of being political advocates for lefties. No news coverage, no power to shape the political structure of Canada.

It's time for Conservatives to protest, from their keyboards. Comment at the CRTC site, they are asking for feedback, let's give it to them! Don't just go there and say CBC should be shut down, go there and make valid points about CBC's mandate:

...the programming provided by the Corporation should:
    1. be predominantly and distinctively Canadian, reflect Canada and its regions to national and regional audiences, while serving the special needs of those regions,
    2. actively contribute to the flow and exchange of cultural expression,
    3. be in English and in French, reflecting the different needs and circumstances of each official language community, including the particular needs and circumstances of English and French linguistic minorities,
    4. strive to be of equivalent quality in English and French,
    5. contribute to shared national consciousness and identity,
    6. be made available throughout Canada by the most appropriate and efficient means and as resources become available for the purpose, and
    7. reflect the multicultural and multiracial nature of Canada."1

Nowhere does it say that they should have to be a tv station nor does it say that they have to report the news, that is not part of their mandate, let the CRTC know we want the TV station to become more like the History channel, and only show Canadian produced shows that highlight our cultural expression, like the CBC's mandate states. That will keep CBC alive, but kill their power to interfere politically, which is also not part of their mandate. Hold them to their mandate, make them into a toothless public station and reduce their taxpayers funding.

Don't complain about the CBC if you don't do anything about their lack of respect for Canadian taxpayers. Comment to the CRTC about the taxpayer bloodsucker, CBC.
