Snow Castle Walls!

The average Canadian works all day, comes home, watches the national and regional news, forms their opinion of the day from those sound bites, and turns the channel to hockey.

Only a political junkie would be interested in what our PM was actually up to, and if you are looking on the main pages of the media sites online, you might not find the real treasures, like our PM addressing the Jamaican parliament for the first time in history.

CTV covered the speech, but it does not appear anywhere on their main page, you need to google it to find it.

CTV covers PM's Speech Part One!

CTV covers PM's Speech Part Two!

Watch it, PM Harper did an excellent job of representing Canada, as the first Prime Minister from Canada to address the Jamaican government. This should be at least in the top ten stories the MSM is covering, but CTV does not even mention this historic event. Further, CTV changed the picture on this article. They went from this:

To this:

Someone must have told them that the spontaneous hug made PM Harper look too human, so they quickly replaced it.

Then I found this picture of Iggy, all that blood red and the black shadows gave me the creeps big time!

Yikes, liberals really are scary! Talk about gloom and doom, the walls are bleeding Liberal red and the black shadows seem to be devouring Iggy.

Why would CTV hide our Prime Ministers historic speech? Do they not understand that they need to appeal to ALL Canadians to survive? Their coverage of the hostage taking was abysmal given that all sorts of media were already there to cover PM Harper. No live coverage of the hostages, no live coverage of the PM's speech. Were they too busy sitting on the beach drinking Jamaican rum to actually cover either the hostage taking or PM Harper's speech to the Jamaican parliament?

Snow Castle Walls....what an amazing image PM Harper created.

Thanks Hunter for what you do and the time you spend looking into so many issues of importance.

Comments aside tho ... we'll check back another day. Too early to be offended by the "troll booths!!"

Good thing the "average" Canadian is so distracted by hockey. We can watch our faves like Kyle Wellwood who, it turns out reads books instead of watching tv, unlike you Huntsy. Kyle is not scared of Liberals. Go Canucks!

Blame Crash - sniff yer own.

  7. As for the first comment which was also authored by me and deleted by Hunter, I would ask the same question. What is so troubling that you must delete?

The picture of PMBG and PMSH that CTV replaced is rather weird no? It looks like they're about to get into fisticuffs over something.

That is a game the PMO's office loves too play isn't it? Guess the difference between what PMSH says he's doing and what he's actually doing!

Read David Akin. It's possible there weren't as many reporters on hand as you might've expected. It could be simply due to the recession. On the other hand...

  11. Wow, Stereo - is this a dull day for you? You know what? You calling Hunter "Huntsy" completely negates any glimmer of intelligence you may occasionally show. And you wonder why she is so ready to delete your comments.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Does calling me Stereo negate any glimmer of intelligence you ocassionally show? Or how about the "finger sniffer" remark Crash has been casually lobbing around since yesterday?

  13. I'd hazard Huntsy didn't even read my comments before she deleted them. They contained NO SWEARING. They were on topic and I'd like to know in what way they could be deemed unfit for this site and it's readers.

  14. The first photo of Dear Leader makes him look creepy.

What is a "snow castle wall"?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think it might be like an electric chocolate marshmallow railroad.

  16. The first picture made Golding look like a ventriloquist. His left hand is holding Harper's right hand from moving, while his right hand is behind Harper's back fumbling with the controls. You can see him concentrating on this without looking and without moving his lips.

I'm sure Harper's psychic image consultant insisted the picture be changed to show one of the two leaders addressing an audience. Makes them both look more like leaders of nations.

We're allowed to make fun of pictures here, aren't we? Like the one of Iggy in the same post?

  17. mystereeoso reminds me of a certain virulent pest that trolled Trusty Tory's blog. That vermin was well known for uncontrollable verbal diarrhea as well.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Please explain with your considerable intellect how what I have said in response to Huntsy's post is like diarrhea.

    ReplyDelete
  19. SQ - get real. It did not make him look creepy. Have you nothing better to do than to find fault with our PM? Is your life that small and petty? I just don't understand you - your comments are always so petty, juvenile, and downright irrelevant.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Interesting, "soccermom", whose profile was created within the last 3 weeks, speaks of the "trusty tory" blog which has been defunct for months.

    Why is that, sockpuppetmom?

    Hahahahahahahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Stereo - it is too many letters to type out mystereoso every time. Besides, that cannot be your real name and Hunter is her real name. If your name was, for example, Lance and I called you Lancy or if it was Porifero and I called you Porry or Porridge, then it would be offensive.

    ReplyDelete
  22. LD - get your "facts" straight. Soccermom has been around on blogs for more than a few weeks. As for Trusty Tory's site - it is not defunct. He is busy and does not have the time to monitor his blog. Rather than being an irresponsible blog host, he has suspended it.

    Nice try, though.

As for being a sockpuppet - get real. You are a typical LPC sockpuppet and you are the last person to be calling another woman a sockpuppet.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Typo - I meant LS, not LD. Although I was probably thinking Liberal Dunce/Doofus/Dork when I put in the LD.

    ReplyDelete
  24. East of Eden, you have yet to address Hunter's post.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Same goes for Soccermom and Blame Crash.

    ReplyDelete
  26. LD - get your "facts" straight.
I have. Click on Soccermom and you will see the profile was created April 2009. Typical for sock puppets, no?

Soccermom has been around on blogs for more than a few weeks.
I am sure it is a common name, but the Soccermom that commented here is using an ID that was created this month.

As for Trusty Tory's site - it is not defunct. He is busy and does not have the time to monitor his blog. Rather than being an irresponsible blog host, he has suspended it.
I'm sure you insiders know more about Trusty Tory's blog than I do, but "Soccermom", whose profile was created THIS month, talks about someone commenting at Trusty Tory's, and it would be reasonable to assume said comments were made before THIS month, since that blog is "suspended".

    Nice try, though.
Yes it was, because it was successful, and even stood up to your trash talking.

As for being a sockpuppet - get real. You are a typical LPC sockpuppet and you are the last person to be calling another woman a sockpuppet.
I do not comment here as anyone except liberal supporter. A sock puppet is an additional ID, created to give the illusion of multiple people supporting someone's point of view. "Soccermom", being a profile created THIS month, talking about comments on a blog BEFORE this month, has the characteristics of a sock puppet. Otherwise, how would someone who is new to blogs this month know about Trusty Tory?

Or is it only wrong to speculate some ID is a sock puppet when they use a name that implies they are a woman?

Although I was probably thinking Liberal Dunce/Doofus/Dork when I put in the LD.
Whatever. In other words, it is ok to make a nickname out of someone's moniker, unless it happens to be their real name.

But the problem, you see, is that only insiders would know Hunter is her real name (assuming your allegation is true). That certainly explains a lot. I speculated you are Hunter's husband, based on the fact I have never seen you comment anywhere else, plus you are always defending Hunter, even when she is clearly wrong.

If you are not her husband, you appear to have a major crush on her, since you NEVER criticize her in any way. Or you are a sock puppet. In your blind zeal, you have breached her privacy by revealing her real name.

Shame on you, "East of Eden"!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Southern Quebec, why do you use the term 'Dear leader' in reference to a democratically elected western leader..?

You use it often, but even your weak mind must realize it is a label used in conjunction with leftist dictators, the type your side supports all too often..

    ReplyDelete
  28. Kursk:

The term Dear Leader was not meant to be polite. It is a term usually used for Korean Kim. But it also works for Little Steve because he is the perfect little autocrat.

...and for bonus points, it drives Hunter crazy.

Mysty, I think you are right about E of E being Mr. Hunter. Makes sense...

    ReplyDelete
  29. SQ, the theory that East is Huntsy's husband belongs to LS.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I always thought East of Eden was the blog-handle of John Baird.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hunter said EofE is not her husband, and that her family does not read this blog.

But if Hunter is her real name, EofE is breaching privacy, no different than the various people who wish to "out" bloggers for their own unknown reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Uh, LS - I am not Hunter's husband. And, if you actually pay attention to her, she does give her name as Hunter. You, on the other hand, do not give your name, just as I do not. Your long-winded comment was quite something - I give you "E" for effort.

    ReplyDelete
  33. "But if Hunter is her real name, EofE is breaching privacy,"

Oh brother. Talk about a stretch. You sound like a completely typical LPC sockpuppet.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Get back on topic please or comment moderation goes back on.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Where has hunter declared this is her real name, EofE? I thought it was short for "hunter of voters", plus the Elmer Fudd avatar makes it quite reasonable to assume hunter is a pseudonym. Where did she say this is her real name?

Back on topic: The first picture made Harper look like a ventriloquist's dummy, in my opinion. Just as hunter's opinion is that she was "creeped out" by the Iggy picture she posted.

    ReplyDelete
  36. East, my friend, you are correct. I am the same Soccermom who has been blogging for over three years.

    ReplyDelete
  37. And East, I only signed up for Blogger today, FYI.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I love those pictures of PM Harper and PM Golding together.

    ReplyDelete
  39. LS, I guess you haven't taken the time to click on Hunter's complete profile, or checked her e-mail. Her real name Hunter. And yes, Soccermom has been making great comments on many blogs for several years, including Trusty Tory.
I wonder if I should be worried or pleased that so many have viewed my profile. Doesn't give any info about me.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Finally got time to listen to PMSH's speech. Great job. I don't think he used the word ME once.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Let me clear things up, when Ardvark approached me and said "Hunter?", I said "yes."

New blog rules, I am going with the Globe and Mail/CTV/CBC approach, only allow comments on posts I want comments on. HA! That should be agreeable to my lefty trolls, they are fine with it at their favorite MSM sites, so it should work here as well.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Somebody had better call the CDC.

This is the worst case of HDS (Hunter Derangement Syndrome) that I have ever seen.

    ReplyDelete
  43. LS, I guess you haven't taken the time to click on Hunter's complete profile, or checked her e-mail. Her real name Hunter.
"hunterinalberta@hushmail.com" is hardly an indication this is her real name. "jane.hunter@hushmail.com" or "hunter.jones@hushmail.com" would be more clear. See? From these examples, you can see I don't know if "hunter" is her first or last name.

Let me clear things up, when Ardvark approached me and said "Hunter?", I said "yes."-
That would make it sound more like Hunter is your first name. But in this context, it would imply that Ardvark is his real name, no? Is it?

It is quite common in quoting a conversation on a blog, to substitute the blog handle for the real name, and most people understand that.

I think my premise stands, that it is not obvious what your name is from your blog or your profile, except EofE spilled the beans.

    ReplyDelete
  44. , I am going with the Globe and Mail/CTV/CBC approach, only allow comments on posts I want comments on. Zing!

    ReplyDelete
  45. LS - uh, there were no beans to spill. Hunter has always been called Hunter on this blog. Where were you a year ago when people were calling her "Hunter". And if her profile says "Hunter" and her e-mail says "Hunter" and people call her "Hunter", how did I spill the beans.

Sorry, LS, your assertion is without merit. Oh, and when Hunter comments on other blogs, she goes by "Hunter". Ergo, I would say that there were no beans to spill.

Just for your information, Hunter and I live in two different provinces and have never met in person.

Now, go clutch at some other ephemeral straws.

    ReplyDelete
  46. LS - uh, there were no beans to spill. That has yet to be determined.

Hunter has always been called Hunter on this blog. That does not prove whether "Hunter" is a pseudonym or not.

Where were you a year ago when people were calling her "Hunter". And if her profile says "Hunter" and her e-mail says "Hunter" and people call her "Hunter", how did I spill the beans. You spilled the beans by saying this is her real name. But only if it is her real name. I continue to see ZERO evidence of that. You do understand the difference between a pseudonym, and the name that would appear on someone's ID, don't you? Because I think you are being willfully obtuse.

You continue to dance around the question, and so does Hunter.

Is "Hunter" one of the names that appears on the drivers' license of the operator of this blog?

    Yes or no?

    ReplyDelete
  47. LS, I think you've bet on the wrong pony. E of E would have NO idea whether Hunter appears on my drivers license or not, he's just a commenter like you.

As a matter of fact the only one who comments here, has actually met me is Ardvark. He has already told you I'm 6'3" and have a bad limp. Why do you think I foster "Dogs with Wings"???

    ReplyDelete
  48. Uh, LS, I am not dancing around the question. The question is ridiculous and irrelevant. Who cares if her real name is Hunter or not? In the blogosphere, Hunter is her real blogosphere name. To be honest, I couldn't care less what her name is. All I know is that somebody who is called Hunter produces a really good blog. You, on the other hand, are making a mountain out of nothing.

Her name is totally irrelevant - as are most of your comments.

    ReplyDelete
  49. E of E would have NO idea whether Hunter appears on my drivers license or not, he's just a commenter like you.

So in other words, when EoE said this:
Besides, that cannot be your real name and Hunter is her real name.

He was lying. Or is there some way he knows that is your real name and you don't know that he knows?

And you continue to dissemble. Where's the plain spoken honesty?

Is "Hunter" one of the names on your driver's license or not?

If not, will EofE retract his statement?

Speaking of retractions, I have not seen an answer to an earlier question:
EoE: So do you retract your claim that McD's "can no longer require that its employees wash their hands."? Because that claim is untrue.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hunter - I know what you meant but being a commenter just like LS? Ugh. Shudder.

    ReplyDelete
  51. LS, why do you want to know my "real" name so badly? You lefties sure take an undo interest in Conservative females.

It's creepy, but I guess your own women are too weak minded to keep your interest. Bet you wouldn't LET your wife actually have her own blog now would you? Oh, she's too busy getting her hair done? HA! What's your "real" name by the way? I'm sure all my readers would like to know.

    ReplyDelete
  52. LS - I give up. You are obviously under some sort of strain so I won't bother trying to have an intelligent dialogue with you. You are not worthy of a dialogue with me. And...do not interpret this as a capitulation to your logic or superior intelligence because it most definitly is not. I just can no longer be bothered.

    ReplyDelete
  53. LS, why do you want to know my "real" name so badly? You lefties sure take an undo interest in Conservative females.
Baloney. I don't care who you are. I was simply trying to get something clear, and the dissembling and ad himinem attacking from you and EofE to avoid a simple answer is hilarious. Though sadly typical.

Let's just stick with the facts, can we?

    1. EofE stated that "hunter" is your real name.

    2. Contrary to all the subsequent howling, it is not clear from anything on this blog that "hunter" is one of your names, either first, middle or last. Nothing in your profile info makes me think "hunter" is not a pseudonym.

    3. Therefore, either
    a) EofE knows something others here do not and revealed it.
    b) EofE is lying or simply making things up.
