PM Harper brings forth the new cabinet, with one more Minister than last time, and the media party just isn't happy about what PM Harper has done. They whine, they cry, and they let us all know that they, the wise ones, are not happy.
You poor babies, get over it. The Liberals and Bloc are dead, the NDP is full of itself, and the Conservatives have a majority. Majority, for you slow learners, means control of Parliament and it's agenda. With the 3 new Senators the media is crying about, it also means a majority in the Senate, sort of like what Obama had in the States and no lefty media thought that was a bad thing.
The media can comment all they want, but they need to remember that we were disgusted with their coverage of the election, and we have other sources to get our news from, like blogs, facebook and twitter.
The media party is kind of depressed these days because no one is listening to them anymore, they have made themselves irrelevant by their biased coverage, kind of like the Liberals and Bloc.
Were all MP's happy with the choice of Ministers? Of course not! I had hoped that James Rajotte would finally get to be a Minister, but I do not expect him to mope around and whine because he didn't. I expect him to continue representing me and his other constituents in the excellent fashion he has always done before. A majority means that he will be able to get way more done in committee than before. Now we will see Conservative MP's shine.
The media party is not running for election. They will never be positive about any Conservative government, they are still vilifying Mulroney for heavens sake, while Chretien and Trudeau are never criticized. I wonder if they can afford for 40% of Canadians to stop watching their news or reading their papers? We should try it, stop going to anti-Conservative sites like CTV and CBC, stop reading the Toronto Star and Globe and Mail. You aren't missing anything anyways, except their highly biased opinions. Like mine on this blog! HA!

No need to criticize Trudeau, his single finger did the trick many years ago. Majority is the “right” word for the next 4 years and we (C) conservatives need to continually remind our Government that we support them but only so far – no lefty claptrap!
The Media party complaining of the 3 Senate appointments, should reflect on who it was that appointed Raymond Lavigne and Andrew Thompson to the upper chamber. There were other similar stellar appointments, but these two Liberals stand out.
Seems to me that there is some guy named Grant Mitchel sitting in the Senate. If memory serves he got his debut Liberal Leader electoral butt handed to him on a platter by Ralf. I'm sure Harper appointed him to the senate seat because no Liberal PM would ever appoint failed Liberal Candidates to the senate. sarc
The Media Party wrongly assumes that every MP has cabinet aspirations.
Cabinet means even more time away from home and family, constant media/opps attacks and calls for their resignation (think of Bev Oda).....
I'm betting their are alot of MPs very happy doing just what they are doing.

Every time I read a headline that starts with Conservatives bad..Opposition good,I know I will have a good day and no need to read further. If ever the headline reads Harper and his Conservatives deserve praise,I will read the article to find the hidden criticism between the lines. It is sad that in our lifetime, journalism and most Canadian reporters in general have slid so low in respect that they are laughed at as slimy biased Harper haters and fictional story tellers and nothing more. They know nothing about reporting the news, but continue to print the owners or their own opinions and nothing about what is news .I can probably honestly say that 90% of Canadians do not know what policies the Conservatives passed or tried to pass during their 5 years as a minority Government. But,they will probably remember a few of the phony scandals that were made up by the media and Liberals.Oda not scandal,Wafergate,,ETC..etc.PM Harper could not have done a better job of rubbing the media,s nose in it and showing massage parlor Jack who has the majority.
So, now that the Cons have a majority what happened to the ELECTED senate? Oh, wait, they were lying...right?
Didn't Larry Smith quit the senate to run for office?
SQ, wake up and smell the roses. An elected senate can only happen if the premiers pass legislation to allow it. The PM has encouraged them to do it and they wont. Also, term limits must be passed by the senate and liberals stalled that also. With the 3 new ones appointed prior to June 2, it means we will get the chairmanships of all committees and therefore will be able to pass said law. FYI, senate chairmanships can only be changed after an election or prorogation, so if the PM did not do this when he did, liberals would have kept those positions, no matter how many senators the PM appointed. I can't believe the ignorance of all those posting all over and even the medias mis information re this fact. Today Pat Martin showed his ignorance by saying Phil Fontaine would have been a better choice. Que had 2 openings and NFLD one. Phil doesn't live in either province. Perhaps when the premiers and opposition realize that there are another 24 vacancies before Dec 2014 they might decide to elect senators. Just think 79 liberal senators, most of them around 40 it would be years before libs or anyone else could get anything passed till around 2050. Next up, the SCOC with 5 appointments before 2014.
The next attempt to cause trouble for the PM is false stories re disgruntled mps, and possible trouble in the upcoming convention. The media will never give up, and will it probably result in another huge majority of around 200 seats.
