Who Do You Love?

I've been thinking about who my favorite MP is and I have a few favorites, Laurie Hawn, and Rona Ambrose come to mind, but if I had to pick only one, it would be Mike Lake, Edmonton-Millwoods-Beaumont. Why?

Superficially, he is young, great looking, has a wife who is beautiful, and a young family. More importantly, with a young family it must be hard to leave to do his job in Ottawa. His son is autistic, making it even harder for him to leave every week. That shows me that he has a high level of commitment to his job and constituents. He makes tired old Iggy look, well, tired and old! Compare him to Hedy Fried, and he comes out aces in the sane department. He is a solid Conservative MP, with enough personality to make him very appealing to voters.

A lot of Reform MP's got elected in Alberta no matter what their qualifications, and are still around. Most are doing good jobs but will never be Ministerial material. Mike Lake came after the reform movement, and has huge potential. I would rate him my favorite up and coming MP.

Now I want you to tell me..."Who do you love" as your favorite MP, of any party, and why. For now I will open up my comment section, so you can champion your favorites. Please remember to keep it "family friendly". Have fun.
