Earth Day Resolution: No Biofuel from Food Crops
Once again, President Bush has come down on the wrong side of an environmental issue: his misguided subsidizing of American ethanol production has helped drive up grain prices. Biofuel is a disaster-in-the-works when it comes to feeding the planet. If produced on a large scale from food crops, biofuel will keep transportation costs down for the rich, while many of the planet's poor starve.
Hello, you environmentalists have been pushing for quicker renewable solutions for at least 20 years, now that you are winning, you back off, and blame the government? This is a perfect example of how first of all, environmentalists don't think any issue through, and second, that no matter what governments try to do, it will NEVER, ever be enough, not ever, until we are sitting in caves, with no wood to burn.
Nuclear, a very effiecient energy solution,nope, it's got to be solar and wind. They will only be happy when we shut down all coal operations, and of course the oil industry.
