A tale well told? The Canadian Press thinks they are fiction novel writers not journalists! Yikes! They go on to prove it with their articles. These are just two from today that I happened to read.
First up, Sarah Palin in Hamilton. Remember the values of the Canadian Press:
They vow to "Stick to the facts without editorial opinion or comment. Reporters’ opinions are not wanted in The Canadian Press copy. Their observations are.
Be impartial when handling any news affecting parties or matters in controversy. Give fair representation to all sides at issue."

HAMILTON — Sarah Palin brought her neo-con star power to Canada for a $200-a-plate fundraiser Thursday that drew both fans of the former U.S. vice-presidential candidate and the undecided.
Is the term "neo-con" a fact? Or is it an opinion? So much for sticking to the facts and only the facts! The Canadian Press just couldn't help itself and showed it's Liberal bias by inserting the term "neo-con" into their article.
Next, we have a whole story that is just garbage, and should be considered tabloid material.
This is what the Canadian Press calls "ethical behaviour"?
"Pride in yourself and in the practice of journalism nourishes ethical behaviour."
Guergis had a history in the clubs with hometown playboy: acquaintance
I had to screen capture this because a simple copy like below somehow left out the "Canadian Press" logo, so even they don't seem to want to acknowledge their own article!

OTTAWA - Helena Guergis may have nurtured the image of a straightlaced cabinet minister on Parliament Hill, but people who knew her in younger days paint a picture of a regular club-goer often seen on the arm of a hometown playboy.
....
Sources say Guergis was in a serious relationship in the late '90s with a well-known playboy in Barrie, Ont., a promoter who was a fixture in the local party scene and later owned a popular local strip club.
A source who knew both Shane Alkerton and Guergis well told The Canadian Press their love affair was a tumultuous "soap opera" that spanned many years, but ended before she entered politics.
So, 20 YEARS AGO, Helena had a "playboy" boyfriend? This is "ethical" reporting? Are you kidding me? What a smear job by the Canadian Press. It's disgusting and the main reason that no one is buying newspapers anymore.
Funny how it was two Conservative women that the Canadian Press targeted with their "ethical" point of view.
A tale well told? Or a bedtime story with fairies and leprechauns? The Canadian Press should be embarrassed at their biased and non-ethical coverage of both stories.
They are just as bad as CTV:
At least CTV admits it is Canada's Home for Gossip, maybe the other stations/news providers should get with the 12 step program and cure themselves.

I'm curious, was Helena permanently banished from caucus or suspended from caucus until the completion of the investigation? I thought that she should have resigned from cabinet weeks ago because she appeared to me to be buckling under the pressure, but not expelled from caucus altogether. But if she is cleared and re-admitted (not unlike a Judy Sgro), what harm did the PM cause? All the damage came from the baseless accusations which the left claims were justified because the PM did not want to release potentially libelous information.

The Liberals alleged she was a drug dealer and claimed justification for slander on the grounds that the PM didn't disclose all the details of potentially slanderous allegations.
Hunter,
Skunks, racoons knocking over the garbage believe they are providing a valuable service.
Much like our press digging for "juicy" tidbits for their tale.
The producers behind the camera are giving direction for these stories.
It is about the capturing "eyeballs" and groupthink.
Journalism costs money and takes time, we don't have that product. We have tabloid sensationalism TMZ media hit pieces jumping scandal to scandal trying to get ratings.
I bet print sales and online hits soared during all of this.
sad eh.
So we can look back in time now.
20 years ago Iggy had a wife and kids.(currently situated in the where are they now category.
I wonder if Ditchburn is just upset that she was never in "the arms of a local playboy".
She sounds jealous.
