Your Alberta PC's, Out Of Touch!

Here is an email exchange with my MLA, Minister Fred Horne's assistant, as he is too busy for me. The scary thing is that he is now in charge of our health care system!

Good Morning XXXXX, (This was sent January 26th, 2012)

I just wanted to update you on the status of the response we’re preparing for you. In order to provide you with a thorough response, we’ve consulted with a few other Ministries and are currently in the process of compiling our information into one complete response for you.

Should you have any other questions, feel free to email me.

Thank you,

Carlie
Constituency Assistant for
Hon. Fred Horne, MLA

So, not responding to my emails still. Note the date you replied December 7th, 2011. No response since then.

Here is another issue that our newly minted Minister of Health can respond to, because it is directly related to Health. Why would Redford not support the federal money that Albertans will now get? On a per capita basis, we have finally got some real money from the feds. Why would she join the other provinces in condemning the federal proposal to INCREASE federal money to health care by 6% until 2017? Explain that to me as a voter? Thanks XXXXX. (by the way, I still want the HRC’s reined in, it’s my number 1 priority, no matter what the polls tell you.) Thanks XXXXX

Subject: Not Responding to my e-mails.

As a constituent, the least you could do is respond to my e-mails to you. If you have my email address to send your propaganda to, you have the ability to respond to my concerns, as a person who votes Conservative. Bill 26 is a game changer for the PC’s. Red Alison is not making a good first impression with Conservatives, but why blame her for being elected by unions.

I do not care what Red Alison is up to, I have asked you time and time again to get rid of the Human Rights Commissions power to persecute someone for “hurt feelings”. If your government doesn’t move on this issue, you will not get my vote, and I will actively campaign for the Wildrose candidate. It’s easy, you have a majority, pass a law against “hurt feelings”. If this government is so tone deaf that they don’t get this simple request, they are failing to support the wishes of Albertans, and therefore do not deserve Albertans votes.
Previous emails that I sent were lost when I transferred from my Mac to a PC. I don't blame poor Carlie, she is not responsible for her minister's incompetence. I have met the guy, he is a marshmallow, just what Red Ali wants.

I will now be actively campaigning for the Wildrose. The Alberta PC's are out of touch with Albertans. They are also busy hiding from voters, not a good sign.

Even time I send an email to PM Harper, I get a response back the next day. Why can't my MLA do the same? He is closer to my home issues, so he should be better at contacting me, but he isn't. I picture him huddled behind his desk, hoping no one will know he is there.

The old pc's are too busy on listening tours, for the last 8 months, and retreats in Jasper, to respond to constituents who contact them.

Excellent video interview with Dave Rutherford, on Redford being liberal and her comments to Charest on the gun registry.
