Charities Or Lobbyists?

Interesting the Suzuki Foundation is a charity, yet he walked down the road, obviously supporting Dalton in the provincial election.

According to Revenue Canada rules, this is a huge violation of their laws.

6.1 What are prohibited activities?
A charity may not take part in an illegal activity or a partisan political activity. A partisan political activity is one that involves direct or indirect support of, or opposition to, any political party or candidate for public office.

When a political party or candidate for public office supports a policy that is also supported by a charity, the charity is not prevented from promoting this policy. However, a charity in this situation must not directly or indirectly support the political party or candidate for public office. This means that a charity may make the public aware of its position on an issue provided:

it does not explicitly connect its views to any political party or candidate for public office;

Well, Suzuki publicly supported Dalton in the last election, this is in clear violation of the Act. Thanks for the video Just Right!

Another funny thing is that balance sheets are supposed to be balanced, but from the information on the government site, that is not the case.

From the same resource, I find this interesting:

Well this seems to be that someone connected to the Suzuki Foundation was  "carrying on" "outside of Canada"... Don't watch it, I'm just using it as proof that Suzuki was carrying on outside of Canada, yet their return to Revenue Canada said that NO we didn't do any protesting outside of Canada.
Revenue Canada needs to stop all these environmental groups from getting charitable status, they are powerful lobby groups, not charities. What has the Suzuki Foundation ever done to stop real pollution? Are they out planting trees? Nope, the dopes go to Bali by plane, and dress in polar bear costumes so they can pass out in the heat. Why not hold the next conference in Yellowknife in February? Right.....HA!

Compare and Contrast, Charities!

I think that the Suzuki Foundation should be unlisted as a charity. There is nothing charitable about that organization.

In the spirit of Christmas, we all give more, so I ask you to compare and contrast these two, tell me who you would give your hard earned money to:

Rolling Dog Farm

The Rolling Dog Farm in northern New Hampshire rescues and shelters disabled animals. Every animal who arrives at the Rolling Dog Farm gets another chance to have a safe and loving home. Their residents include blind dogs, blind horses, deaf dogs, blind cats, and animals with other neurological and orthopedic disabilities.

 

 These are real people, helping real animals without squawking daily about how much their cause helps animals. True heroes. 

Next up, PETA:

Funny how PETA thinks it's painful for insects to die in the pupa stage. I wonder if they think that aborting a human baby in the "pupa" stage is painful too?  Just asking!

PETA is all about marketing "ideas" and nothing about actually saving any animal. Notice that they are selling "synthetic materials"? Hey PETA, that means nasty oilsands products! Are they so dumb they don't know what "synthetic" means?

Synthetic Fibers are made from synthesized polymers or small molecules. The compounds that are used to make these fibers come from raw materials such as petroleum based chemicals or petrochemicals.

So, I ask you, where would your money go? Rolling Dog Farm or PETA? 

A Decaying Green Society.

Think Rome burning. Collective rights are more important than individual rights. Social justice, a phrase that means nothing, is bandied about by the lefties as if it justifies all their phoney causes. They protest anything at the drop of a hat, making their "occupy" movement laughable.

They have so many "causes" that they can't get to all the protests. The "occupy" guys are now at the climate conference. Funny how they went from tents to luxury resorts. They love being victims, because it pays. I couldn't afford to go to the climate conference, how do they manage to get there?

The perfect example of the decay in our society is this:

If this any indication of how the global warming nuts actually think, you have to conclude that they are only in it for the money. Outright lies as we saw with Climategate 1 and now 2 are the order of the day.

When you worship at the altar of the global warming gods, and ignore the rights of women in places like Africa and Iran, you are lending comfort to the very people who are contributing to the downfall of society.

Fortunately, the silent majority is not buying their preaching, and neither is our government. Carbon markets have failed or suffered from fraud and massive mismanagement. Wind farms are being abandoned and the eco-greenies just leave the rotting useless turbines there because it would actually cost money to clean up their failures.

The worse proponents of this fraud are the media outlets that are still, despite all the evidence, trumpeting the global warming horn, and they wonder why their revenues are decreasing?

I mentioned in another post, how Coke was using the polar bear as a means to raise money for the WWF, it seems they have abandoned that ad. Wonder if it was because they received lots of emails in protest. I know I sent one telling them to lay off of our polar bears, but never got any response back. 

The silent majority does not have to be silent anymore. We might not go out and protest like the greenies, but our emails are just as powerful as any "occupy" protest could hope to be. Remember, companies are in business to make profits, not to satisfy the desires of small, vocal, special interest groups.

The green society is decaying as quickly as the vegetable matter in my compost bin. They are getting desperate because no one is believing them anymore and their funding is drying up. Durban will be another HUGE failure for the green gang, and I'm loving it!!

Small Hero Challenge!

                                                    Puppy arrives from San Fransisco!

Searching for Liberty wants us to do something to help people this Christmas season. Great idea! At work we have sponsored a family this Christmas. We fill up a basket or three with food and gifts. It's too bad we only seem to be concerned with those families at Christmas and not all year round.

I have the best "small heroes" around. Anyone who reads my blog knows that my family is a foster home for service dogs in training. We have done this for over 8 years, and many very special dogs have passed through our lives, and hopefully many more will grace our home with their barks, yelps and whines at 2 in the morning!

Right now we have two beautiful black labs sharing our lives. They are both from a San Fransisco seeing eye puppy breeding program, and this will be their first Christmas. These dogs are truly amazing in the way they change the lives of the disabled people they help. They are not just seeing eye dogs anymore, they also help handicapped people and lately autistic children are finding furry friends make their lives less scary.

What bothers me is that a charity like Dogs With Wings really struggles to get donations while organizations are pouring MILLIONS of dollars into the fake climate change debate. If those same organizations gave Dogs With Wings just 1 million, that would set them up for 20 years and hundreds of people in need of an assistance dog would lead better lives.

Does the Suzuki Foundation deserve a million dollar donation? What does the Suzuki Foundation actually do? I know what the assistance dogs do, what does the Suzuki Foundation do to help a poor person? Do they plant trees? Do they physically help preserve any land, air or water? Do they go to Haiti to help rebuild the country? Seriously, what do all the environmental charities actually do? Have they saved a polar bear from drowning? (joke) Have they cleaned up China's polluted air?  (no joke) All I see is them basking in the warm Mexican sun at a two week conference, that accomplishes nothing and helps no one. University activists getting a free trip to a two week party, paid for by taxpayers. The money spent by those activists could have sponsored HUNDREDS of assistance dogs for the handicapped.

Think about it. Which charity is more deserving of your donation? Dogs With Wings or the Suzuki Foundation? My money goes to Dogs With Wings, so the dogs can fly to help people who need them. Thank goodness for the charities that actually help people.
