Compare and Contrast, Charities!

I think that the Suzuki Foundation should be unlisted as a charity. There is nothing charitable about that organization.

In the spirit of Christmas, we all give more, so I ask you to compare and contrast these two, tell me who you would give your hard earned money to:

Rolling Dog Farm

Help me help the Rolling Dog Farm win a $25,000 donation from Mozilla. The charity that raises the most for the Mozilla campaign will win.

This was a project that my dad cared deeply about and he passed that passion on to me. Please help these animals. Throw them a bone.
The Rolling Dog Farm in northern New Hampshire rescues and shelters disabled animals. Every animal who arrives at the Rolling Dog Farm gets another chance to have a safe and loving home. Their residents include blind dogs, blind horses, deaf dogs, blind cats, and animals with other neurological and orthopedic disabilities.

 

 These are real people, helping real animals without squawking daily about how much their cause helps animals. True heroes. 

Next up, PETA:

Silk Production Causes Painful Death for Insects
The so-called “silkworm” is actually a domesticated insect who, in nature, goes through the same stages of metamorphosis—egg, larva, pupa, and adult—that all moths do.(5) Silk is derived from the cocoons of larvae, so most of the insects raised by the industry don’t live past the pupa stage, as they are steamed or gassed alive in their cocoons.(6) Approximately 3,000 silkworms are killed to make every pound of silk.(7)

Funny how PETA thinks it's painful for insects to die in the pupa stage. I wonder if they think that aborting a human baby in the "pupa" stage is painful too?  Just asking!

Oh, by the way, your WOOL coat, made from renewable growth by sheep, is also BAD. What do these guys recommend?

PETA is all about marketing "ideas" and nothing about actually saving any animal. Notice that they are selling "synthetic materials"? Hey PETA, that means nasty oilsands products! Are they so dumb they don't know what "synthetic" means?

Synthetic Fibers are made from synthesized polymers or small molecules. The compounds that are used to make these fibers come from raw materials such as petroleum based chemicals or petrochemicals.

So, I ask you, where would your money go? Rolling Dog Farm or PETA? 

PETA Wants To Kill Lucy!

Why? Simple, they don't care about Lucy, they want some media exposure. If they cared about Lucy, they would leave her alone. She is sick, too sick to travel, it would kill her. Does PETA care? NOPE!

They bring in some slick Toronto lawyer to convince a judge that Lucy is suffering, but the guy is an idiot!

High-profile Toronto lawyer Clayton Ruby, representing People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Zoocheck Canada, says the city is violating Alberta’s Animal Protection Act by keeping Lucy in isolation and in an enclosure.

“This is a city that’s having difficulty paying for snow removal. Why are they going to blow hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep Lucy in these horrible conditions?” said Ruby during a news conference Monday in Edmonton.

Having difficulty paying for snow removal? No, we just have lefty idiots on our city council that can't budget themselves out of a paper bag. I wonder if that Toronto lawyer remembers that Toronto has to call in the army when it snows there! I guess it saves them from having to pay for removing their snow. If he thinks we Albertans are going to be impressed just because he is from Toronto, I suggest he goes on a tour of some of our buffalo farms, or maybe muck out some stalls after the dairy cows have left the barn. We know animals, we care for our animals and we will do whatever we think is best for Lucy, but we do not need some snooty lefty lawyer from Toronto telling us about our animals. He should be embarrassed to be representing PETA, they kill puppies don't they?

They have never visited her, they don't care for her everyday. Their vet has never bothered to visit her. They have done nothing to help Lucy on a day to day basis.

"It is my opinion that the conditions and standard of care at the Valley Zoo are causing Lucy unnecessary distress and that these conditions are not in conformity with [zoo association] standards," Dr. Ensley said in his affidavit.

He based his conclusions on his experience in the field and a review of information about Lucy's condition, although he didn't personally examine her.

The decision to keep Lucy in Edmonton has been the subject of controversy, with animal rights groups enlisting celebrities such as Bob Barker and William Shatner to push for her transfer to an elephant sanctuary.

Lucy has spent all her life here, this is all she knows, and she is loved by her caregivers and Edmontonians. We are doing everything we can to make her life comfortable, and PETA wants to tear her away for everything she has ever known and send her to a strange place, to probably die. But PETA is good at sending animals to die. We should be suing them for cruelty to animals.



Here is a truth about PETA. They would prefer to use their money on slick lawyers to sue Edmonton for one sick elephant to get media attention, then to spend that money on the dogs and cats they have in their care. Now who has blood on their hands? They kill more dogs and cats in one year than our hunters kill seals! Hypocrites!

Exclusive: PETA’s Pet Killing Program Set a New Record in 2008
Public Records: PETA Found Adoptive Homes for Less than 1 out of 300 Animals

Animal lovers worldwide now have access to more than a decade’s worth of proof that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) kills thousands of defenseless pets at its Norfolk, Virginia headquarters. Since 1998, PETA has opted to “put down” 21,339 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens instead of finding homes for them.

PETA’s “Animal Record” report for 2008, filed with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, shows that the animal rights group killed 95 percent of the dogs and cats in its care last year. During all of 2008, PETA found adoptive homes for just seven pets.

Just seven animals -- out of the 2,216 it took in. PETA just broke its own record.

That's right folks, PETA kills dogs and cats. It is cheaper to kill them than it is to feed them. They need all the money they can get to throw pies in our Ministers faces and to try and kill Lucy the Elephant. Oh, they want to "save" her, not kill her, even though they have been told the journey might kill her, they don't care, because if she does die, then they can just say, see we told you to move her sooner.

The sicko's are the people of PETA. Prove me wrong. Send letters to the paper telling PETA to butt out of Lucy's life. Tell them to clean up their own organization before they yap about seals and elephants. And for heavens (animals) sake, stop donating to them!

Let Them Sleep With The Seals!

Okay, I have to admit that I love pork, especially the fat, nicely barbecued and blackened. Bacon bits on my caesar salad, Yumm! Fish is next on my list, especially lobster. I understand that animals must die for me to eat them, but hey, we are at the top of the food chain for a reason!

And then there is PETA...

PETA's Bloody 'Unhappy Meals' Making Parents Angry

"Unhappy Meals" featuring a knife-wielding Ronald McDonald and bloody rubber chickens are upsetting parents who say the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are unfairly targeting their kids at McDonald's restaurants across the country.

PETA's "McCruelty Campaign" has ruffled the feathers of moms and dads in Albany who say they don't want their kids exposed to any throat-slitting chickens or pictures of slaughtered poultry.

"I don't want my son to be around something like this. This is not fair for a child," Stephaine Gipson told FOX23 News in Albany.

"I think it's unhappy that they target children," said parent Michelle Natale.

I have asked my boys if they realize that the meat they eat means that animals have to be killed, they are okay with it. They also enjoy eating the raspberries, nanking cherries, peas and strawberries in our yard. I killed our first zucchini tonight, and it was delicious. I swear I heard it cry when I cut it from the plant.

PETA is a radical group of hypocritical idiots who kill dogs that have been placed in their care.

That's your PETA wackos, don't kill that cat unless it's PETA doing the killing. Disgusting sickos. Let them sleep with the seals, see how long that lasts!

Fly On The Wall? Don't You Dare Kill It!

So, President Obama kills a fly during an interview, and PETA gets all sanctimonious about killing a common house fly. Are they serious? Or are they using it as an opportunity to get some TV time? Who cares? Maybe we should stop laughing at them, and start to think about the harm they are doing.

They have joined with the lefty econuts to shape our kids future. Funny how they are concerned about one dead house fly, but millions of kids dying from malaria, not so much.

One of the most destructive results of the environmental movement has been the banning of DDT. I guess that PETA is also against the killing of mosquitoes, as is the WHO. MILLIONS of people (not animals) have died because of the ridiculous position of econuts and most governments.

Nothing prevents malaria better than DDT application

Death from malaria means convulsions and delirium, retching and diarrhea, joint and abdominal pain so excruciating that coma can be a blessing. The parasitic infection destroys the body’s red blood cells and clogs its capillaries, depriving vital organs and the brain of blood. That malaria strikes some 300 million people annually — and kills an African child every 30 seconds — is all the more tragic given how preventable it is. But modern environmental ideology simply doesn’t permit the use of DDT, the most effective means of eradicating the ghastly disease.

Read the whole thing, it's worth it. Remember Belinda Stronach and Bill Clinton raising money for useless bed nets? Honestly tell me if you were visiting Africa, would you stay in a place with bed nets or one that had sprayed with DDT?

Kill a fly, everyone gets offended, kill millions of people, cue the crickets. Or is that the true game plan with econuts? It's a good way to reduce the population.

Interesting exchange today in question period. The opposition was whining about cod fishing quotas. The Minister of Fisheries, indicated that one of the main problems was the 6 million seals that were eating all the cod. Might we see a seal cull? Won't that drive the PETA nuts crazy. Protest the killing of seals or the killing of the cod by the seals? My bet is that they will protest against the HUMANS who are killing the seals. I get the feeling that PETA hates people.

Fly on the wall? Don't just smack it, catch it and send it to PETA, see what they do with a million or more flies to dispose of, bet they kill them, like they did the animals they "rescued", like they wanted to kill Knut the polar bear.

So, this summer, collect your pesky house flies, ants, termites, and send them into PETA, let's practice what they preach!

You Know Those Poor Seals?

Those seals that need us to save them from hunters who shoot them? Those seals that are just sooo cute that Canada's seal hunters are labeled as the bad guys? How about penguins, how cute are they? Now who would ever think of hunting those little cuties?

For some reason they do not allow embedding. I wonder if it was at the request of the environmental/WWF organizations, who didn't want the seals to be revealed for what they really are...predators! Watch it if you can. Funny how the people protesting the seal hunt totally ignore this side of the seals. The seal plays with the penguin for over 20 minutes before it kills it, and our seal hunt is inhuman??

Oh, and let's not forget about PETA, the dog and cat killers.
