Huge Win For Wildrose!

I know you are all waiting with baited breath to hear what I have to say about the Alberta election. HA!! So, here it is:

Yuck. Get ready to tighten your belts, because Premier Mom is about to reach in and grab you by the short and curly ones, and it's going to hurt.

I was busy scrutineering, locked up in a gym, waiting as the paid Alberta elections people counted the votes. We had some really slow guys, so I didn't know any results until close to 9:30. Of course, by then, it was all over. Make of it what you want, but last election the Liberals just about kept the riding, losing by 58 votes. The Liberal vote collapsed, as they ran to Mommy to protect them. That is why Mommy Dearest has changed the name of the PC's (Progressive Conservative) to the PL's (Progressive Liberals), because they can not hid behind the Conservative name anymore. They are not Conservatives in any way, shape, or form.

I will watch as Alberta goes further into debt with each election promise Alison fulfills, remembering the 20% decrease Albertans took to get rid of our debt for the future of our children during the Klein era. Alison will wipe that all out, in a flash, just watch her. Her first budget already reflected her big spending ways.

Do not despair. I'm over the shock, and excited to see Danielle take on Alison in the Legislature. It's going to be fun. It's going to be an eye opener for real Conservatives in Alberta. It's a great opportunity for the Wildrose. I give Albertans credit for voting for the Wildrose. They are breathing down the backs of the PC/PL's. They claim victory today, but with only a 10% lead they should not get too comfortable.

Looking at last election results, Wildrose was only at 7% of the vote, and the PC/PL's had 72 seats and 53% of the vote.

Last nights results show that the PC/PL's have dropped from 72 to 61 seats and from 53% to 44% of the vote. Alison did worse than Stelmach, imagine that!! Most important, is that the Wildrose went from 7% of the vote and 0 seats to 34% of the vote and 17 seats. If the expectations hadn't been so high, the Wildrose would have been seen as a huge winner against a 41 year old party with tentacles into every aspect of our lives.

We will live to see a brighter day, four years from now.  This is a huge win for Wildrose, they are now on the political map in Alberta, and they have 4 years to prove to Albertans that they are not "scary".

Which reminds me, because of the vile campaigne the PC/PL's ran, I will never vote for them again. Alison talks about building bridges when all they did was burn them this election.

I was disappointed that the Wildrose didn't do better, but there is always another election, and if RED Ali thinks she has free range, she will find out very quickly that the fickle Liberal/union voters who got her into power are very hard to satisfy. She is now a bought Premier. Bought by the Liberals, and bought by the unions.

To my candidate, be proud, you did everything you could do to win. To the other candidates in my riding, you all fought hard to win. I will never forget the face of the young Liberal scrutineer when he realized that the Liberal voters had switched to the PC/PL's, his bright shiny ideals hit a huge political brick wall. Too bad, because politics should not be about shifting your vote to keep a party out, it should be about standing up for your principles and voting for the candidate you actually want to support.

Huge win for the Wildrose? They don't think so right now, but it's a great start, and they will show how old and tired this government is, they will expose the underbelly of the entitled, and it's going to stink.

I will be holding Red Ali to ALL her election promises, and if she weasels out on them, it's just more fodder for the next election. No increase in taxes, but 150 new clinics? Good luck with that ONE promise, never mind everything else she threw at us. It's going to be fun. 

As a final note, my son was just dancing around with the puppy. I've never seen him actually dance before, but they were both loving it (He didn't know I was watching, so it was a spontaneous joyful dance between a boy and his dog). It was a funny, special moment, and all thoughts of politics disappeared. Family, it's the most important thing in our lives, and no politician can take that away, not ever, no matter how hard they try.

And We Voted Him In.

When Ralph Klein first ran for Premier, he told us he would reduce our spending by 20%. He told us we needed to do this to get rid of our debt, to give our children a fighting chance.

And we voted him in.

And he did what he said he would do, he reduced spending by 20%. I remember because 5 people were going to have to be let go at work and I was number 6, I survived the cuts, barely. He was vilified by the ruling Federal Liberals, made into the bad boy of Confederation by the ruling elites. Why? Because he turned our province around, and got rid of the debt, faster than promised. I miss him. Even after all the cuts and pain....

We Voted Him Back In. 

Where the PC's went wrong, was to push him out, before he and Albertans were ready to see him go. It has been a disaster since then. We got Steady Eddie, a guy way over his head, useless but harmless. Now we have Red Ali, an arrogant, my way or the highway, female Dalton. She is not harmless. She has surrounded herself with weak Minister's, like Fred Horne, the marshmallow, as Minister of Health. She says jump, he says how high. He's a "Yes Mam" kind of guy. 

So, what are Albertans going to do? How can we solve this problem of poor leadership, shown by the election budget they released? Do we sit back and hope it gets better? Do we pretend that the PC's are still in any way Conservative?

We can't vote Ralph back in, I wish we could. We need to change course. We need to understand that the PC's are Conservative in name only, and that Red Ali is a Liberal. We need to look to the only party in Alberta that can provide the government that we need, and that is the Wildrose Party.

Albertans are slow to change. We think about things for a long time, because we care deeply about our province. Because we care so deeply about Alberta, we need to take up a new banner. We need to make our kids and grand kids proud. We need to stop automatically voting for the PC's just because they happen to have Conservative in their name, they are closer to the NDP than to Conservatives under Red Ali's leadership. 

I was upset when Klein was pushed out as leader. I was willing to give Stelmach a chance. He was awful. The PC's had the choice to go more Conservative, and what did they do? They voted for a Liberal who only won because she promised the teachers union they would get 100 MILLION dollars. That was the first thing she did when she got "elected". Then she went on to pander to special interest groups with her .05 drinking and driving law. They have mentioned a PST, and increasing the "sin" taxes. Not very Conservative at all. She has refused to support our oil industry and yet went to Ontario and Quebec to get agreement on a "National Energy" program.  I smell disaster if she actually gets elected as our Premier.

I want you all to understand that they are going to use every trick in the book this election. It's going to be nasty. I have noticed government sponsored ads being run by the PC's already...remember, you are paying for them. The unions are going to be advertising for her, just like they did to get Dalton re-elected.

We can not sit on our butts, and think that she can't do much damage if she is elected. She can, and she will. Liberals have been infiltrating the PC party for years, knowing that is the only way they can gain power in Alberta. I say, it's time we taught them a lesson. Voters have power. We decide who will rule Alberta.

Got out into your neighbourhoods and talk about Wildrose. Talk about Danielle Smith and her party. Put up a Wildrose sign. Go out and door knock with your Wildrose candidate. Get the message out.

Quebec booted the Bloc last election, unfortunately they picked the NDP as a replacement. It's time for Alberta to boot the PC's and replace them with the Wildrose! If Saskatchewan could boot the NDP after years in power, in favour of the Sask Party, Alberta can replace the PC's with the Wildrose. Look at how well Saskatchewan is doing now. We can and should be doing better, it's only our 40 year old, tired, entitled party that is holding us back.

Come on Alberta! We can do better.

It appears that the Wildrose are catching up to the Alberta PC's, even before the election begins. This is excellent news. Can Wildrose go from around 6% in the last election to 30% in our yet to be called election this spring? I think so.

If you look at the results from the last election, the Liberals were most often in second place behind the PC's.

What if Liberals switch their votes to Red Ali? Is that likely? The votes from last election show the Liberals in second place in most ridings, so why would they vote PC? If the Liberals hold their votes, and some PC voters switch to WRA, could the Liberals gain enough seats to form a minority? This is the biggest worry of Alberta conservative voters. While more Liberals will probably get elected if we vote Wildrose, fewer PC's will get elected. If the PC's are limited to a minority, the power they have had for years will be blunted. Most importantly the people can then force an election at any time they want.

What I sense, from talking to people at work, is that a big shift is happening. People are fed up with the PC's, and they are talking Wildrose as the alternative, not the Liberals or NDP. Make no mistake, the PC's in Alberta are in big trouble, and Red Ali is one of the main reasons. She just rubs Albertans the wrong way. She barely won in the last election:

She won by less than 500 votes, as a PC in Alberta? But, because of support by the teachers union, she became our Premier-elect, after giving them 100 million dollars of taxpayers money. In the budget, they got it back from us by raising our school taxes to collect 120 million! They didn't tell us this, because all we heard was no new taxes. Bull!

It's time for the dinosaurs to go. We need fresh blood, not recycled paper dolls standing in front of us repeating the same old tired line, year after year. Maybe that's what freaks me out about Red Ali.....think Stepford wives. YIKES!

Wake Up Alberta, Time To Kick The Bums Out.

Even the National Post thinks the budget was a NDP budget. It was a blatant re-election budget that doesn't pass the Conservative sniff test. There is nothing Conservative about this budget.

Many people see it as blatant pandering to the left. People are talking about it, and that is not a good thing for the PC's, because frankly, everyone I have talked to are fed up with this government. So where will the votes go?

If the votes go to the Liberals, NDP or PC's, Wildrose wins the seat. If the votes swing towards Wildrose, they take the seat. If it is split between Wildrose and the PC's it's any ones guess. When none other than the far left site Rabble (I will not provide a link to that disgusting site) is endorsing Red Ali, you know the game is on.

Liberals feel at home in Redford caucus," is today's commentary on the return of Lethbridge-East MLA Bridget Pastoor to the party she started out with. "Federal NDP endorses Redford," is yesterday's posting, showing an image of a Tweet by Edmonton-Strathcona MP Linda Duncan suggesting Redford is adopting NDP polices.
Another post yesterday, in the style of a Western Wanted poster, accuses the premier of "total absence on the Keystone XL Pipeline … when her province needed her most." Now, there are those of us who think the pipeline is not a particularly good idea, but one can hardly deny the premier's frenetic efforts to sell it to the U.S. Administration of President Barack Obama, even if she was talking to the wrong politicians south of the Medicine Line.
In other words, RedfordFiles.ca is not only mean, it's lame!

Tisk, tisk, Redford files is mean, oh dear, call the HRC nannies they should be able to fix that. You want lame, the whole article is a prefect example of how dopey the far left really are.

The question for Red Ali, are there enough Liberal and NDP willing to switch to the PC's to support her in the next election? We have already seen in the federal election that Liberals and NDP have no integrity and will switch sides at will, will they do it this election? They are the ones who got Red Ali elected in the first place, so why wouldn't they infiltrate the PC's to gain power?

Alberta is ready for a change, and if all the Conservative votes move to the Wildrose, we can change the game that Liberals/NDP are playing with our province. We can take back our province, and squash our opposition because there are a heck of a lot more Conservatives in Alberta than there are Liberal/NDP.

I thought that I couldn't get a hearing on the Gateway pipeline because I had missed the deadline.

If I had the time, I would call up all these "regressive's" and make sure they really exist, and are not fabricated "supporters". That is the job of the review panel, and I bet they are failing to do their jobs.

Creepy organizations like Forest Ethics need to be starved of funds. They are actively trying to shut down our oil sands. Want proof?



I wonder if the review panel has any clue about the concerted effort the greenies are making to shut down our oil sands. I say let them actually work on a rig, let's see how long they would last at a real job. They are good at diarrhea of the mouth, spouting off about things they have never done (like hold a real job), and they are good for a laugh because they have no common sense.

Ultimately, it is up to Albertans to get this project passed, but if we elect Red Ali, we will be dumped on the nearest recycle pile and reemerge as puppets to a Liberal regime.
