Where were our MP's this summer? I got a newsletter from mine, but heard nothing else about his activities. I am also wondering if our riding got any of that stimulus money. Supposedly most of the stimulus money went only to Conservative riding's, so I imagine mine got some, but I haven't seen any of those "Action Plan" signs anywhere in the riding.
I find the newsletters dry and too political. They give no sense of my MP's personality, or what he is doing in our community. The Conservatives are flat, faceless and invisible. I don't even know what they stand for anymore.
I want passion for Canada, and want them to stand up for Canada. I don't want negative ads, I want them shouting their pride for Canada and how well we handled the recession. I want to hear that they still support our troops.
I want them to stop being scared to say anything that the Liberal MSM might take wrong. The Liberal MSM is always going to find fault with anything any Conservative says, so forget about worrying about them. They will get you no matter how hard you try to please them.
As a matter of fact, I want to see Conservatives taking the media to task. I want them to show some balls! I want them on David Rutherford, helping him get the message out. I am sick and tired of the lefties making the rules in committee, and then the Conservatives getting blamed for doing nothing.
I want all Conservative MP's front and center and in the media's face, everyday. I want the undecided voters to know who Rona Ambrose, Mike Lake and all Conservative MP's are, and most importantly what they are doing for Canada.
Come out, come out wherever you are! Quit being afraid of your own pension shadows and work for Canadians. The undecided voters want something to vote for, not against!

PM Harper was VERY visible on Vancouver Island today. Over 500 people turned out for a BBQ near Victoria. (I know, I had to help organize this on 6 days notice!!!)
I can reassure you, he spoke about the pride of Canadians, the Olympics, the economic stimulus (it seems that a lot went into conservative ridings--144 out of 308 but our NDP/Liberal dominated ridings got their fair share). There are 16,000 projects occurring right now in Canada.
He had a strong message on supporting our military as well and giving them the tools to do the dangerous jobs we ask them to do.
He was frank about the obstruction of the Liberal/NDP/Bloc "behind the scenes" cooperation to resist ANY changes suggested by Conservatives. (i.e. immigration/refugee reform and the abolition of LONG GUNS from the Gun Registry).
But yes, once Parliament returns Sept. 20th, email your MPs with your feelings and opinions. PM Harper flew early from Ottawa this morning and as tired as he was, still made time up to 8:00 p.m. tonight to pose for photos with the majority of the crowd. No worries --he is tireless in his efforts!!!!
Excellent post. It is time to take back Canada from failed social engineering of Liberalism .
Our local MP, Conservative, has been very visible in the riding this Summer, and among other things, took time out to visit an unfortunate fellow in hospital to look into his particular case, all without summoning the media.
Our MP is a good one,and his style isn't "shouting from the rooftops" like the many big mouthed Liberals and NDP'ers, who may shout loudly, but say nothing.
