Liberalism, An Idea Gone Bad.

From Dion's wife slagging the Liberals, to global warming emails exposing global warming supporters for what they really are, frauds, the lefties are taking hit after hit.

Now Liberals are trying to out special interest group the Conservatives.

Tory MP apologizes for erroneous flyer

Good for him, but has the Toronto Liberal Star mentioned any of these Liberal 10 percenters that need to be apologized for? The Liberal 10 percenters are way more offensive than anything the Conservatives have done, but you won't hear that from the lame stream media.

More here.

So the latest is all about those prisoners being turned over to Afghanistan jails and maybe being tortured. (Didn't we do this like 2 years ago?) The lefties really think they are on to something here, but as per usual, they have no clue what the Timmies crowd is thinking. Most of us are thinking....who really cares?

Here is an interesting insight into the opposition. They are shouting about Colvin (a bureaucrat), and torture...not even alleged torture, but they refuse to listen to an Ambassador.

NDP, Libs, BQ say no Mulroney testimony on Afghan detainees without documents

After hearing his "professionalism" questioned by former subordinate Richard Colvin last week, David Mulroney sent a letter to the House of Commons Special Committee on the Mission in Afghanistan offering to testify to "set the record straight." That's no light offer from Mulroney as his current job is Ambassador to China. Mulroney, in fact, was en route, my sources tell me, from Beijing to Ottawa late Monday night in expectation that he would get a chance to testify on Thursday.

Not so fast.

Opposition MPs tabled a notice of motion late tonight that will get voted on when the Committee meets Wednesday (a meeting at which they'll hear testimony from Gen. Rick Hillier and others). The motion is from NDP MP Paul Dewar but I'm told the Liberals were ready to table one that was mighty similar and, basically, it tells the government that Mulroney ain't testifying until the committee gets a pile of documents that they've been asking for for ages.

So, it's NOT about torture, it's all about political jockeying. The opposition MP's are showing their agenda, they only want to listen to people supporting lefties. They do not care about the truth, the truth is inconvenient, just like the fact that global warming is not occurring.

I find their behaviour despicable. It just makes the Timmies crowd mad, and more intent on electing a Conservative majority next election. These juvenile games must stop, and the only way to stop them is with a Conservative majority. Majority is not a bad word anymore, and if Quebec doesn't understand what side their bread is buttered on, too bad.

Liberalism, an idea gone bad. Send the lefties a message. They are the dinosaurs not the Conservatives.

Liberals NOW Support Mulroney!

Well it appears that the Prime Minister has called the Liberals on their fake support of Mulroney.

OTTAWA -- Prime Minister Stephen Harper waded into his party's internal spat over the treatment of Brian Mulroney on Wednesday, turning his verbal fire on Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff and reminding critics the former prime minister had "demanded" a public inquiry into his dealings with German-born lobbyist Karlheinz Schreiber.

Mr. Harper defended his government's handling of the "difficult issue" during a news conference in Moncton, N.B., where he also charged that Mr. Ignatieff, who this week accused Mr. Harper of not showing proper respect for Mr. Mulroney, has "absolutely no moral compass" for commenting on government conduct and ethics.

...."First of all, Mr. Ignatieff and the Liberal party -- when this matter first broke -- were practically demanding that I throw Mr. Mulroney in prison without a trial. Now they are out there pretending that somehow they are his best friends and they don't agree with any of this," Mr. Harper said.

Demanding they throw Mulroney in jail, how about wanting to hang him?? Remember this?

Hang him, hang him high! That was the Liberal MP Shawn Murphy from PEI wanting Mulroney hung, but now the Liberals are bleeding Conservative blue for him? Sending him birthday wishes? Hypocrites. You slimy little people, you started this whole thing by visiting Karl in prison and cooking up a deal to keep him in Canada, then your MP's hammered the government to call an inquiry. They did just that, but you were not happy.

The Liberal Chairman of the ethics committee Paul Szabo, who had personally visited Schrieber in jail, a clear conflict of interest, called a witch hunt on Mulroney and proceeded to shut down anyone who disputed him.

Liberals are now supposedly close friends and supporters of the very person they wanted to hang. Funny how Liberals are still using this issue to try and score political points. The MSM is obviously too stupid to investigate this matter, or even show any balance in reporting.

Hate to break it to you guys/gals no-one cares about a 20 year old scandal. Conservatives reduced the PC party to two seats because of it, why haven't the Liberal party voters reduced the Liberals to two seats because of Adscam? Where is that 34 million the Liberal party stole from Canadians while in government? Funny 34 million against 240,000 and Mulroney is the big bad guy? Typical Liberal VALUES!

UPDATE: MP Szabo has commented on this post.

Correction. The assertion that I met with Schreiber while he was in jail is untrue. The only time I have ever seen him is when he appeared before me at the Ethics Committee hearings.

I would appreciate it if someone would let me know the source of this false accusation or at least ask the source what proof they have. Then you will know they cannot be trusted.

Best of Question Period, May 7, 2008

This episode is complete with Duceppe going off the roof and diving into a pool of goofy. Red faced, and spitting, he loses control. I'm ashamed that we have such a party in Canada, they are disrespecting all people who are Canadian by pretending they are superior to everyone. I usually call the Liberals arrogant, but the Bloq has them beat by a mile (kilometre).

It almost makes me regret that I spent over $2,000 for my son to go visit Quebec this year. Almost, because he loved Quebec, and he was treated royally by the people of Quebec. Thank you Quebec, you made my sons first adventure away from home one that he will remember all his life. From what he tells me, he stumbled into a deli in Montreal, and had, according to him, the best "sandwich" he had ever had in his life.

I love Quebec for the unique flavour it brings to Canada, and hope they wake up and vote the Bloq out. They threaten to tear our majestic country apart, and can never be anything but opposition. Quebec would be better served by Conservative MP's who can actually make changes.

Clement makes a very important point about how committees are stalling good legislation from passing. Most committees appear to be dysfunctional due to opposition partisan agendas. Sad. They refuse to vote this government down, so they do everything they can to disrupt it. Sneaky little thugs.

You need to watch the last bit, finally Thibault is guilty of Conflict of Interest in the Schreiber affair, duh, you think? He tries to slime his way out of it, but gets called out by David Tilson. Suck it up Thibault, you met with Schrieber numerous times, and had no right to question former PM Mulroney.

All in all, an eye opening Question Period.

Hang Him High!!!

What doesn't show up in Hansard, can be clearly heard on tape. Liberal MP Shawn Murphy, yelling "Hang Him High, Hang Mulroney, Hang Mulroney" and various other comments about nooses. Don't believe me? (MP Ed Fast from Abbotsford is speaking, watch and listen to Murphy on his right.)

Go to view clip, fast forward to 4:12:00 and listen for yourself. If you missed yesterdays Question Period, continue listening, it's all there in disgusting glory!

Hang Him High! SHAME on Shawn Murphy. Shame on all Liberals for attacking Chuck Cadman and his memory.

This is in support of Canadian Blue Lemon's post yesterday!

If you have never watched Question Period, this is the one you NEED to watch. It shows how lacking in morals, honesty and compassion Liberals are, anything for a vote. Watch the faces of the NDP when Liberals are bringing up Cadman, question, after question, they are as disgusted as I was, yet NDP MP Pat Martin, a member of the so called Ethics Committee, also weighed in on the issue. Expect to see the ethic's committee take on this new "scandle". The only party that showed any class by not bringing this issue up was, the Bloq.

Hang Him High! A very good glimpse into what the Liberals are really thinking.

UPDATE: MP Ed Fast, on Friday, raises this as a Point of Order! He states that Murphy said "hang Mulroney" five times! Speaker will review the matter. It's very clear on the tape!

UPDATE II: Mike Duffy shows clip of Murphy and the Liberal pundit tries to make it seem okay for a MP to talk about lynching a former PM. Typical, who would expect the Liberals to just apoligize for clearly inappropriate comments. Good for you Duffy, you have balls!

McCain Gets Mulroneyized!

The Times have dug back, way back, to the 1990's to try and dig up some dirt on McCain, kind of like the Liberals here dug up Schreiber from the 1990's to try and smear Mulroney, and hopefully PM Harper and the Conservative party. Maybe the Times should have asked our press how well that worked before they ran with a "undisclosed" sources article.

The New Republic claims it was about to break an article about the Times, and that is why the Times story came out now.

Beyond its revelations, however, what's most remarkable about the article is that it appeared in the paper at all: The new information it reveals focuses on the private matters of the candidate, and relies entirely on the anecdotal evidence of McCain's former staffers to justify the piece--both personal and anecdotal elements unusual in the Gray Lady. The story is filled with awkward journalistic moves--the piece contains a collection of decade-old stories about McCain and Iseman appearing at functions together and concerns voiced by McCain's aides that the Senator shouldn't be seen in public with Iseman--and departs from the Times' usual authoritative voice. At one point, the piece suggestively states: "In 1999 she began showing up so frequently in his offices and at campaign events that staff members took notice. One recalled asking, 'Why is she always around?'" In the absence of concrete, printable proof that McCain and Iseman were an item, the piece delicately steps around purported romance and instead reports on the debate within the McCain campaign about the alleged affair.

Now I'm not up on the US nomination races, but it appears to me that the Liberals are up to the same tricks in the US as they are here in Canada. I suspect if you are a Liberal, you love the Times report, even though it's unsupported by FACTS. Too bad the Times had to tip their hand early, I bet they were saving it to use after McCain won the Republican nomination. Funny, this just might unite the right in the US.

If you have to dig up 15 year old dirt on someone, your case is weak, and your political stance is showing. Just like the Liberals here in Canada trying to dig up dirt on Mulroney, it backfired here, I expect it to backfire in the US. Maybe the Times should write an article about how Hillary sticks by her man, through thick and thin, short and tall, young and old. Maybe they could do an article on Belinda and Bill Clinton! She was seen with him at numerous times, at numerous functions. NO? Wonder why not?

Liberals, always looking for smut, because it's what they do. You could smack a Liberal over the head with a moral, and they would have no idea what hit them.

Deport Schreiber!

Here's the rub for the Liberals, no-one remembers that Mulroney was a Prime Minister, let alone a PC. Most people who know who he was, understand the the PC's are a dead party, they do not exist anymore. In every article, it's about Mulroney/Schreiber, and people go so what? They don't care. They don't watch question period. They are more interested in their families and their jobs then politics.

Liberals are dirt digging, they thought they had a winner with this "in/out" thingy with elections funds, except today we hear that the opposition walked out on a committee vote (Pierre Poliverre talked about this just before question period) to stop having to reveal their elections expenses. The Conservatives filed their report in court and ALL parties were shown to have done the exact same thing as the Conservatives.

The question now is, why did Elections Canada allow all the other parties to claim their expenses for advertising, but disallowed the same Conservative claims? Of course we will not see this reported in the MSM.

The Liberals jumped the scandal gun because they are trying to save Schreiber from jail in Germany, what deal did they make with him? How is it possible that the Liberals after 8 years never deported the guy? Ralph Goodale asked twice in question period whether Schreiber would now be deported. Why is Ralphie so concerned about a criminal? He can be beamed into any courtroom from jail in Germany, he doesn't have to be here in Canada to testify. Deport him! Look into who visited Schreiber in jail, how many Liberals were talking to him?

Question period today, was a total wash for the Liberals, Dion's guns backfired when PM Harper got up, and calmly stated he would call a full public inquiry. Dion kept reading off of his pre-written question, and Harper made him look like a total fool, again.

Jack Layton was caught out on CPAC, stating that his MP Pat Martin received a letter from Schreiber months ago but did not react until a sworn affidavit was issued, which by the way, is exactly what PM Harper did. I think Layton actually blushed! Never seen Layton at a loss for words before, it was too funny!

Now the opposition are crying that PM Harper didn't act fast enough? Hello Liberals Air India? Airbus...oops forgot you paid Mulroney 2+M for that one.

Keep rooting around in the dirt Liberals, it's raining, and the mud is all sticking to you!

Deport Schreiber.
