Duffy Kicks Fruitfly Suzuki's Butt!

I would love to see a verbal match between Duffy and Suzuki, Duffy would win hands down, but Suzuki refuses to debate anyone, ever.

I bet CTV is still missing this guy:

He seems happier now that he doesn't have to hide the fact that he is a Conservative. Lefties are still in shock that they could have enjoyed watching him all those years, never suspecting that he was a Conservative. That is unbiased reporting, and it hit lefties smack in the face when they realized that Senator Duffy wasn't actually one of them. Heck, I'm a Conservative and I never suspected he was a Conservative.

It looks like the Conservative Senators are going to discover how badly foreign interests have corrupted our democracy through the use of environmental groups. Revenue Canada had better sit up and take notice, because they are now in the spotlight.

I know of one tiny little charity that lost it's charitable status because of a minor accounting error, it just about caused them to shut down the real charitable work they were doing. So why doesn't Revenue Canada go after these environmental groups who are clearly lobbyists? Is Revenue Canada as Liberal as Elections Canada? Who holds both of them to account? No one as far as I can figure.

The Senate is showing us that they are relevant and can tackle tough issues. Good for them. My biggest disappointment with the Senate is that a failed Liberal leader from Alberta, who hates the oil sands can not be booted out of the Senate by Albertans. He is an arrogant Liberal who thinks that Albertans opinions don't matter, and he could care less what you want. I know, I've emailed him and just about got sick reading his response to my concerns, try it for yourself. Ask him why an Albertan doesn't support the oil sands, see what response you get.

Grant Mitchell   -   Liberal Party of Canada

With Slow Measured Steps...

We will take back our freedom of speech! Have you ever stopped and thought before you said "Merry Christmas" to someone? Saying "Merry Christmas" used to be an automatic response in this country, it isn't anymore. There is nothing hateful about saying "Merry Christmas" but now you might "offend" someone, and the way the HRC's are going, soon you could be hauled before them for just that reason, saying "Merry Christmas".

Ann Coulter, just by her trip to Canada, might actually do more to wake Canadians up about our erosion of free speech, than anyone, even Mark Steyn. She wasn't even in the country yet when she ran up against our lefty culture at universities in this country. When the students at UofOttawa managed to shut down her speech, they clearly showed how badly our country has gone off the rails regarding free speech. They shone a light on their own hateful attitudes, not just to Canadians, it made the news internationally. It also gave the Conservatives the perfect opening to start the freedom of speech issue, and they have started the ball rolling, in the most interesting of ways, in the Senate!

The senate, filled with old political appointed hacks.... some still left over from the Trudeau days, linger in the halls, like ghosts of an era gone by. Today, some of the new blood that has been injected into the senate, stood up and started the debate on free speech, and wonderful speeches they were!

I notice that Ezra has posted about this issue, so I will refer you to his post for all the relevant coverage. He is the expert in this issue, as he has had to suffer through 900 days of HRC rage and it's still not over for him.

This is a great start, and I think we have to thank Ezra, Coulter and Steyn for getting the ball rolling. I have already emailed Premier Ed about the AHRC's but so far, nothing is being done. It will be an election issue for me, my vote goes to the party that will shut them down.

Senator Duffy Wipes His Feet With Stoffer!

I don't usually visit the CBC, but Springer from Sort of Political mentioned this and got me curious, so I wondered over there.

Duffy blasts NDP MP as 'faker'

Make up your own mind on this one by watching the video.

I like Peter Stoffer for his support of our troops, but he's way out of line with this one. It's not as if PM Harper appointed MORE Senators, he just filled vacancies. Vacancies that no provinces voted to fill, except Alberta. Maybe the NDP could get one of their own elected if they worked with the provinces to get a list of elected Senators In Waiting for the PM to choose from.

Lefties distort what the PM has said about Senate reform to suit their own purposes. Like this extreme-left lefty, Gayle.

Blogger Gayle said...

"Gayle, explain how the Liberal leader of Alberta got into the Senate?"

He was appointed of course.

First, he is obviously qualified, even if you do not agree with his politics (and as you may have noticed, I have already noted there are undoubtedly qualified conservatives out there, even though I do not agree with their politics).

Second, at no point did the man who appointed him promise he would not appoint senators, nor did he promise he would not use the senate for patronage appointments.

I thought people like you did not like politicians using the senate to reward their political friends. I do not see how you can complain about Grant Mitchell being appointed if you are OK with Mike Duffy's appointment.

You see, in Gayle's mind it's okay for a political hack like Liberal Mitchell to be appointed to the Senate, from Alberta no less, when we had a list of Senators in Waiting that Martin ignored. No, he rubbed Albertan's noses in the fact that he didn't care what we wanted. He appointed Liberals in Alberta to show us how little he cared for us westerners, a typical Liberal response to western Canada. Someone like Mike Duffy, who no-one even knew was a Conservative until he got appointed, is unacceptable....to Liberals. It was okay when Liberals were appointing Liberals because they loved yanking Conservative chains, they were the natural ruling party after all. Now that Conservatives are close to a majority in the Senate, the lefties are getting hysterical.

All Senators who have been appointed by PM Harper have agreed to limit their own terms, but you won't hear that from the media, or the lefties. Gayle is happy that Mitchell is in the Senate until he's 75, seeing he was born in 1951, and appointed in 2005, he has until 2026 to suck off us taxpayers, and he can't be fired!!!!

Gayle thinks he is "obviously qualified". HA. Look at his bio, he is qualified to be a politician, one that Albertan's rejected time after time. So a failed politician gets a sweet life time deal in the Senate. Knowing this guy, I will soon be called into the HRC for slamming him.

Senator Duffy is a great addition to the Senate. I loved getting a message from him, and the Conservatives should continue to use him to promote the party policies. I like the fact that Duffy is now free to tell it like it is, instead of having to be non-partisan. PEI is lucky to have him representing them.

Go Duffy!!!

Trudeau, Dead And Gone, But....

His senators live on, and on, and on. One guy has been there for 31 YEARS!

If anyone doubts the uselessness of the Senate, just look at the present lineup of appointments:

Senators by Province:

Yikes, Tommy Banks still has 3 years to go here in Alberta! Does anyone even know who he is anymore?

Take a look at your Senators, how many do you know anything about, how often have you emailed them or even met them? Do they come out to rallies, or protests? Was Grant Mitchell at the Legislature in support of Albertans who do not want a coalition government?

This is a gravy train, no public appearances, no public accountability, no having to justify why you should remain in your position, nothing. This is not a chamber of sober second thought, this is a golden appointment into the do nothing world of politics. This is where all the appointed Lords and Ladies congregate to plot against the current government. These are the true bottom suckers that every fisherman throws back because they serve no purpose. These are the leeches, stuck onto the taxpayers teat, that refuse to let go because they need us to survive.

So, if PM Harper can't get provinces to elect these suckers, then he should appoint 18 good and true Conservatives, then if the lefties howl, he can make them understand that this is democracy. Isn't that what they are claiming, that they have the democratic RIGHT to take over the government?

So PM Harper has the democratic right to appoint 18 Senators, let the whining begin.

Trudeau, not quite dead enough.
