Elisabeth Another Victim Of Free Speech!

Gates of Vienna reported on October 20th that our Austrian correspondent Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff has been given a court date (November 23) for her trial on "hate speech" charges. She has been charged for speaking the simple truth about Islam.

Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff learned through the media that she — like Netherlander Geert Wilders and Canadian Ezra Levant — had been charged with "hate speech" and "denigration of religious teachings". Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff's "offense" is to defend freedom of speech and much more against a tsunami of barbarism and against the politically correct silence and hushing-up. The subject of the complaint is the mere fact that she even gives Islam-critical seminars. For example, the indictment charges her with "hate speech" for the following statement: "Sharia is a definite no-no. We want no gender apartheid, no ghetto's, no social and cultural discrimination, no polygamy, no theocracy, no hate..."

Also watch Mark Steyn's response to her coming up trial:

For more details just type "Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff trial in Austria" into google.

Fake trials by fake prosecutors to calm politicians and lefties own fears of offending immigrants who refuse to adjust to their new countries. Multiculturalism gone horribly wrong. Lawfare in the extreme.

Women Against Islam! Or Not!

I can say women, because Brigitte and I are both against this barbaric "religion", so two is then women, not woman. I don't think males can understand the sheer horror that women feel about this repressive "religion".  Here is only one example:

I found this thanks to Dodo Can Spell, MariaS has some great videos that you should watch.

What is allowing Islam to gain footholds in the west, is the fact that feminists are not willing to support women who are being murdered or disfigured by their Muslim husbands, combined with western males who don't want to "offend" us females. It is political correctness gone very wrong.

I am sickened when I hear about women and gays being stoned and hung in Islamic countries. I am offended by the imams spouting hate towards western culture. Funny how the western "progressives" are silent, like the moderate Muslims, unless it refers to Israel, then they are out in force.

If Islam is truly a religion of peace, then why are their supporters so silent about Muslim terrorists? I would love to see Steyn and Brigitte debate any imam/Muslim/"progressive" combo, but NOT in Canada, they would be hauled in front of the HRC's (human rights commissions) so fast, butter in 30C wouldn't have a chance to melt!

As an aside, do CBC moderators vote for you? Check this out:

I never voted on those two comments, someone else voted FOR me, who could that be? Anyone who knows me, knows I would have agreed with both of those statements, but CBC has me disagreeing. What are those moderators up to?

Here is another like minded person. What exactly is the CBC doing? What are they up to? They couldn't be changing the news to support their outlook could they? They couldn't be hiring moderators who have access to your account information, who accidentally vote for you, could they?  Yikes that's scary if true! Oh, banish the thought!

With Slow Measured Steps...

We will take back our freedom of speech! Have you ever stopped and thought before you said "Merry Christmas" to someone? Saying "Merry Christmas" used to be an automatic response in this country, it isn't anymore. There is nothing hateful about saying "Merry Christmas" but now you might "offend" someone, and the way the HRC's are going, soon you could be hauled before them for just that reason, saying "Merry Christmas".

Ann Coulter, just by her trip to Canada, might actually do more to wake Canadians up about our erosion of free speech, than anyone, even Mark Steyn. She wasn't even in the country yet when she ran up against our lefty culture at universities in this country. When the students at UofOttawa managed to shut down her speech, they clearly showed how badly our country has gone off the rails regarding free speech. They shone a light on their own hateful attitudes, not just to Canadians, it made the news internationally. It also gave the Conservatives the perfect opening to start the freedom of speech issue, and they have started the ball rolling, in the most interesting of ways, in the Senate!

The senate, filled with old political appointed hacks.... some still left over from the Trudeau days, linger in the halls, like ghosts of an era gone by. Today, some of the new blood that has been injected into the senate, stood up and started the debate on free speech, and wonderful speeches they were!

I notice that Ezra has posted about this issue, so I will refer you to his post for all the relevant coverage. He is the expert in this issue, as he has had to suffer through 900 days of HRC rage and it's still not over for him.

This is a great start, and I think we have to thank Ezra, Coulter and Steyn for getting the ball rolling. I have already emailed Premier Ed about the AHRC's but so far, nothing is being done. It will be an election issue for me, my vote goes to the party that will shut them down.

All Successful Societies Have A Vigor!

That is a very true statement, one I agree with wholeheartedly. We need to ask how vigorous is Canada, Europe, or the US? I see two vigorous nations, the US and Australia. Australia for it's outright opposition to the green fanatics, and the US for it's lively debate on health care. Are we seeing any debate about health care or climate change in Canada? No, we are seeing lefty media telling us we should support both, without any facts to support their positions.

Who said that "all successful societies have a vigor"? Mark Steyn. If you have an hour to spare, listen to this.

Conversation with History!

I know it's from 2007, but it is still relevant.

It's time for Canada to show some vigor. We need to stop sleepwalking through life and get involved. Stop expecting the government to take your hand and guide you through life. Start using your brains and making your own way in life. Trust me, you will feel better about yourself and your life.

Start small. Plant a tomato plant. Harvest the rewards.

You know those homeless people and druggies? Give them a blue bag and get them cleaning our streets. Heartless? No, I bet they will feel useful for once.

When we were in Vancouver this summer, we went to the aquarium and then I told my boys how they would love to walk through Chinatown. I remembered it as a very dynamic, friendly and interesting place. Imagine our surprise when all we saw were druggies stumbling around at 11:00 in the morning. The place was a wasteland, all businesses were closed...permanently. We drove out of the area as fast as we could.

All successful societies have a vigor.....where has ours gone? Are we so happy being a little mini-European socialist society that we no longer care about our future? Talk to your grandparents, they knew what it meant to be pioneers, they knew what vigor was all about, it was about survival, and they made it, they survived.

What do immigrants expect now? What do they contribute to Canada? If they are the new pioneers, what are they building?

HRC's Are A Snake Pit.

Who knew the HRC's were such a snake pit? Only those poor souls who have been accused knew how biased they were, and because they were the unknown Canadian no-one cared. The HRC's were flying under the radar. Brenda Martin has received more sympathy than many of the people who were accused by our own HRC's.

Many Conservatives are slamming the government for not acting against these old fashioned witch hunters, and I could agree, they have been too silent about this issue. Maybe with good reason though.

We need to step back and look at it from a different prospective. Any so-con issue immediately gets the opposition up in arms. The HRC's are a perfect example of how the opposition could use this issue as a "hidden agenda" scare tactic.

Human Rights Commission, the name is all that Canadians focus on, it sounds worthwhile, so Canadians support it. That's the problem, Joe Homemaker has no idea about what the HRC's have actually been up to, he hears the name and thinks it's a good idea. So, if the Conservatives had come out slugging against the HRC's, like many Conservative supporters wanted, they would have been crucified. So, we had mainly silence. Look at how the opposition and media have made the "in and out" scheme into a scandal, imagine what they would have done to the Conservatives if they tried to change section 13.

People are starting to clue into what the HRC's are up to. They have been flying under the radar for too long. The eye opening started with Ezra Levant, and his YouTube tapes, it has shone a light into the darkness of the HRC's. But it was only political junkies who knew about the problems Ezra has been having. Then came the National Post, opening up more eyes, then we got Liberal MP Keith Martin, who has been a blessing to the Conservatives, they can now support this Liberal bill without the MSM yapping about "scary" so-cons.

Then next, we get Mike Duffy interviewing Ezra and, on Friday, Steyn, he was very supportive.

Has this hit the average voters yet? No, I don't think so, most people still hear Human Rights and will side with them no matter what, just because of their name, not what they do.

I applaud Kenney for sticking his neck out in a hostile crowd. This issue is growing, as more and more people step forward. It's like the turtle and the hare, slow but steady wins the race.
