The Soldiers Can't Say It, So I Will. The NDP Are Scum!

I'm sure that soldiers still on active duty can not tell Layton and the NDP what they really think, so it is up to us to get their message out!

They are trained to go into dangerous situations, to fight and to win.

I was talking to an American soldier who had nothing but praise for our soldiers. He said he would fight with them anytime! That's ultimate praise from another soldier.

A retired Canadian soldier told me that our soldiers are one of the most respected by many countries, not only for our fighting skills, but for how MORAL our troops are in the face of great power over usually powerless people.

That is a very important point, our soldiers can be counted on not to rape and pillage. They are trusted by the locals because of this very fact. Why are the RCMP respected thoughout the world? Their high moral values shine through by their actions, same as our soldiers.

For the NDP to call our soldiers terrorists was despicable and should not be whitewashed by simply rewriting the proposal. I did not see Taliban Layton apologize for his NDP people who wrote it, whether it was adopted or not. The NDP have shown all Canadians what scum they really are, and we will not forget!

We now have an anti-war party? So, if Layton truly wants to negotiate with the terrorists, more power to him, can't wait to see you in Afghanistan and don't count on military support while you are there. No, that's not true, our, military would protect you, but only because they have morals, the same can not be said about you or the NDP! SHAME!!

PM Harper Says "Make My Day" to Senate

I loved it, PM Harper very nicely told the Senate that they either passed the bill, or faced a public that thinks the gravy train of useless Senators should end!!

Liberal Senator Jim Munson questioned Harper about the possibility that he would "fight an election on the backs of the Senate."

"Well, don't give me the opportunity," Harper replied. He said there would be political consequences if Canadians become convinced that any kind of Senate reform became impossible.

Munson said Harper sounded like Pierre Trudeau when the former prime minister uttered the line: "Just watch me," in regards to dealing with the FLQ during the October Crisis.

Munson also questioned if Harper's proposals would lead to the "Americanization" of the Senate, which is elected in the United States.

"I don't think the Americans have particular monopoly on democracy," Harper said.

Munson, now red faced, and an ex-journalist looked like the fool, not PM Harper!

Hey, Munson, PM Harper just told you to "make his day" and you were to dense to understand that!

Then this guy tries to look better by going in front of the news reporters and make it an Afghanstan issue?? So much for the chamber of sober second thought!! They are neither sober nor can they think for a second! Most of them have that old person smell. My dog smells better!

If they won't even support a small little step like limiting their stay in the Senate for 8 years, they should face the public next election, most of us want them gone anyways, I would love to vote them off the island!

Most importantly, no mention that this is now a NATO mission, that over 30 countries have sent troops to help the Afghans, no mention that 80% of Afghanistan is now peaceful, and rebuilding.

Future Guide Dogs Need You!

Okay, if you are in Edmonton, if you have a heart, and someone who stays home during the day, you have to help these babies!

It is hard to let them go, but when you see the good they do, it's like your kids going off to university. They still come home to get their laundry done, but they are not really yours anymore.

Same with these guide/assistance dogs, they live with you for a short while, you love them dearly, but then you have to let them go, but you know they are still around, bringing joy to many handicapped people.

If you can't help by taking a dog, please donate, they get no government funding like the SOW's do, they are always just one step away from going under. In my books this charity deserves government funding way more than all the liberal feel good organisations like Egale that get funding from the SOW's!

Guide Dog Banned From Calgary School!

Okay, I volunteer with Western Guide Dog in Edmonton, we have had 2 dog live with us while they were in training, one went to a blind person, the other to a disabled lady, both dogs were awesome in how they helped these people regain their independence.

I took both dogs into my sons school, and never had a problem, the kids that had alergies, knew enough not to pet the dogs, which isn't allowed anyways.

We also have a child in grade four that has a service dog, the kids know that they can't pet him, the kids are smarter than the adults.

This issue with the Calgary school board is a disgusting display of discrimination.

It is a sickening display of how gays should be welcomed into our classrooms, but don't you dare allow a dog that could help a child into that same classroom.

So, gay literature, GOOD, guide dog, BAD.

OHHHHHHHHHH this makes me sooooooooooooo mad I could spit!!!

I have seen how these dogs change the lives of the people they help, first hand. I will be there to protest against those liberal idiots in Calgary.

IRAN, Out Of Control?

Okay, the deadline passed, now what?? Does the world let Iran make nuclear weapons, that they can destroy Israel with, and then continue on to America?

Feminists, Promote Women Beyond Their Abilities

I remember on campus in the 70's, the great cry for women to be in top management positions. Being in Commerce, one of only 25 women at the time, I agreed.

Then I saw what companies were doing, they promoted women that they already had working for them, into positions they were unprepared to take, but the feminists were applauding, making us women think we were getting somewhere, we weren't!

The smarter ones realized very quickly, that we were being used, good old Peter's Principle was coming into effect. The women who had been promoted, through no fault of their own, a pilot project, became a way for companies to say, "See, we tried to promote women but they failed badly"

So much for the feminist cause, they set us women back 20 years.

They are still bleating for 50% of Parliament to be made up of women. GET REAL!!!!

What woman would leave her family for 7 to 8 months of the year, to get into politics? Is it any easier for a man, I don't think so, but I'm not a man. As a woman, I could never go into politics, I could not leave my children for those long periods of time, maybe that's why, we don't have 50% females in Parliament! The feminists won't tell you that though, supposedly us females are being repressed.

I have no desire to be a policeman, or a fireman, or a candle stick maker.

If a female can do the same job as a male, great, but I can tell you, if my house is burning, and I see a 120 pound female coming up the ladder to rescue me, I'm going to shout for a male.

As for my two white, male kids, I, as a female, over 40, have a better chance of getting a job with the fire department than my kids do!

So, if you see an old, under 100 pound female coming to rescue you in a fire, blame the liberal thinking that says minorities should have preference, over, young , strong, healthy, white males.

Liberals cry about gender inequilities, they spend very little time using common sense!

School Supply Shopping! YUCK!

Okay, it's that time of year again, me and the kids headed out to get those school supplies!

Be prepared for long lineups at the cashiers, it takes time to ring in all those pencils, rulers, and duotangs. Still have no clue what a plastic magazine holder is, but got everything else!

What a money making time of the year for retailers! It's not just the supplies, it's the new clothes, backpacks, and let's not forget those new, non-mark leaving runners.

Then you get to go to the school's and actually register the kids, one kid's fees were $240, for text rental, locker, band, and whatever else!

Needless to say, we are now broke and exhausted!

What a treat back to school is! YUCK!

Israel Is An Island Amongst Enemies!

I am really sorry for Israel, they are an island of democracy, surrounded by enemies. The world is not supporting them, the EU is barely sending any troops, and Israel is asking us for help.

This article, makes me sad. Israel is asking for help but noone is listening.

I thought Turkey did a great job of helping Canada with all our Lebanese/Canadians that needed to be evacuated. They stepped up and did a grand job. Now, I hope they step up again, because I think Israel needs them, not just EU supporters.

I think some Muslim countries need to show their willingness to fight for peace. They need to realize that Iran, is getting out of hand, and the whole middle east might erupt. If Turkey sends some troops to the UN in Lebanon, it would help.

The problem for Israel, is not only that they are an island, it's that they are being looked on again by leftists as prey. We saw that with our own politicians this week when Liberals, Bloq, and NDP MP's called for hezbollah to be recognized in some shape or form. I know that I saw both Bloc (leader) and Liberal MP's marching in Montreal for the hezbollah. I'm sorry, but that is just sickening. They do not care about the civilians that got killed, they were trying to make political gains!

So, who will stand up for democracy, PM Stephen Harper has, clearly, but all the media does is distort one comment he made about "measured" response, hours into the war. They think we are stupid, make no mistake about that, they think we believe what they say, because, well, well, they are the media. But, blogs are slowly taking over the strangle hold the media has had on us. We are not blind anymore.

Best of all, is that our children, are more likely to read a blog than a newspaper. I know, I make sure my kids read my blog!!!!

Here’s my take on the whole SOW issue. To start with, I am not a member or connected with either organization, never have been. It started for me when I saw all the organized protests from daycare organizations about the demise of the “national” daycare program. It was obviously very well funded, so who was funding it? Well, let’s see:
Adding up only the organizations that used the words “child care” in their association name I came to the grand total of $1,976,910!!! WOW!! No wonder they could afford to protest on Parliament Hill, with our money, against the plan to support ALL families! So, the SOW’s were using our tax money to fight our government, who gave it to them!!! Doesn’t make a lot of sense does it?

I’m all for equity, and if the SOW’s were supporting all sides of the female viewpoint, maybe us regular women wouldn’t be blogging about how useless they are now! Just look at the organizations they are funding?

Well this woman, who is a full time working Mom and wife, is tired of a government agency that is so biased that it makes me sick! I will only give to the United Way because I can designate exactly what charities I want my money to go to, but I do not have the ability to do that with this government agency! They are spending over 23 million a year, and never have I, as a woman, seen any benefit, nor have I needed any of their money!

What services is this agency offering to me as a female, can I go to a shelter sponsored by them if my husband beats me? I see only token funding for shelters on their list. So, what do they really do for the average female? Well they better start explaining what they can do for me and other real women and stop funding only feminist organizations that do not benefit women and kids in need. All I have seen is a concerted effort by them to make Mom’s, who believe in the family, the target!!

This is not a political issue for me, this is a clear case of a government agency discriminating against one group of females, over another. Defund it, or monitor where the funding is going, get the Auditor General on this, they are under review right now aren’t they?

In this cat fight, the SOW’s might have all the money, but us real women have the resolve, and the determination to make this an issue that will just not go away. The day of the feminist is over, the day of the MOM, has arrived!!!

SOW's Going Ballistic!!!

So, some of us blogged about how useless the Status of Women (SOW) are, and the Globe picked it up, they must be reading blogs, and getting their stories that way!

The funniest part is all the comments. There are some foaming at the mouth, Conservatives kill babies types, ooooooops, sorry it's not Conservatives killing babies, it's SOW's and they get funded for that and any other leftist organization that supports their point of view.

Well, their "values" are not my "values", they are wasting my tax dollars, and as a female taxpayer, it really makes me sick!

Is this the same Audra, that was fired by the ultimate leftist site "Rabble"?? HAH! Well, let me tell you, what turns my female blood to ice, are these, feminists, who do not support family values, and still get government funding! The 70's are over ladies, it's time you started living in the REAL world, where 90% of women are perfectly able to read, write, and make decisions, all by themselves! I know it's a hard concept to follow, but we are not all, man hating, abortion supporting, want my kids in daycare types. Some of us females, love families!

It's about time these SOW's had to justify there existance, justify why they give funding too certain organizations, and not others, justify why they are only catering to other lefty organizations, with our tax dollars!

If the SOW's are such a vital part of female society, let them get their funding like all other charities, including REAL Women, not from handouts by the government! We are not talking chump change here folks, we are talking $23 million a year or more! That would sure help a lot of disabled/homeless people.

They don't need to go, they just have to stop sucking of the public teat, but oh well, they are SOW's aren't they!!!!

Well, watched the Liberal party cakca meeting, and they thought Paul Martin, was still worth cheering, HAH!

The Liberal party is so dead, they are zombies, and don't even know it. Volpe told the crowd that it would be his wife running the party if he got in?? WHAT??

All of the candidates were too busy bashing PM Harper, that they forgot to put forth any policy statements. They just don't get it, people want to have something more to believe in than Liberal "values".

Supporting gays with SSM, not supporting families.

Supporting abortion, or let me say it out right, supporting killing of babies, instead of supporting women by helping them have that baby.

Supporting gun runners, gangs, and criminals, with a soft on crime approach.

Supporting terrorist organizations, like the Tamil Tigers, and Hamas, and now calling for hezbollah to be de-listed as a terrorist organization!

Supporting Kyoto, but doing nothing to reduce emissions, as a matter of fact, the dreaded US is actually doing better.

There are more Liberal "values" but the only "values" Liberals care about, are getting elected again "values".

These "values" are not my "values", they never will be my "values", and I hope that people see these "values" for exactly what they are, a total lack of any kind of "values".

The Liberals are a party that is so bankrupt in any Canadian "values" that they think they can still get votes by slamming the Conservatives. Well, keep digging your graves, I will help as much as I can. Zombies walking!

The softwood lumber deal, is done, well except for those seemingly truly opposed to it, the opposition. So, will it be election time, or whimp out time?

PM Stephen Harper has made the softwood lumber deal, a matter of confidence. What a smart move! Watch him speaking, see that grin he's trying not to show? Too funny!

The opposition thinks they are winning in committee, because they have 7 against 4, but, the Conservatives are still getting their policies accepted, as this shows. So, what are the opposition accomplishing? Not much!

They got their SOW's (Status of Women) people out in full force to protest the demise of the "national" daycare program, what happened? Parents are getting their $100 per child under 6 in the mail, every month. Think they are going to vote against that next election? NO way!

The opposition voted in committee to call for an "immediate" ceasefire. They would not allow any Lebanese groups before the committee, ticking all those people, including the red cross, off big time. Smooth move opposition, and what did that gain you? NADA, ZIP, NOTHING!

Now, 3 opposition MP's, are touring Lebanon, talking about how the hezbollah are not terrorists? Give your head a shake, you heard right, they say, the hezbollah, who targeted Israeli civilians, are not terrorists! Did they tour the destruction in Israel?? NOPE!!! Seems if you side with terrorists, you better not see what damage they have inflicted on innocents that just happen to be Jewish. SHAME!

So, back to the softwood lumber deal, it's now a matter of confidence, so, the NDP, in support of only their own political agenda, have said they will not support it, well, so much for the party of the people! I bet all those people in BC who would have lost their jobs are going to be supporting the NDP next time. NOT!

Well, as a woman, I have seen no benefits from the Status of Women. They are a useless organization that we, the taxpayers, are funding. Now, we know that we fund them, but I thought I would check out who they fund, here’s what I found, right off of the government site. I’m not making this up, I’m not allowed!

So, we support them, but they have not reported who they fund since, 2003, 01, 10!!!!!!!!! How does that work? Are they funding, say maybe, the hezbollah terrorists? Who knows??

Well, it appears the old government was scared to defund them, obviously they didn’t want the wrath of the feminists brought down on them, so, they stayed quiet. I am hoping the new government, will listen to all females, defund them now! Put that money towards helping the handicapped instead of towards women’s groups that handicap other women!

As a female, I think it’s time for them to go, they do not speak for me, they never have, they never will. The money they suck up goes to such things as fighting the government on the daycare issue. That makes absolutely no sense to me, they are using our money to fight government policies, that as a female, I agree with wholeheartedly!!!

Feminists are like the dinosaurs, they are going extinct, and the sooner the better, as far as I’m concerned. If women really support them, they can raise funds like any other charitable foundation, and survive. If they don’t, well, we as taxpayers win by not having to support a sexist organization anymore. Get rid of this useless, bigoted, harmful and sexist government department, NOW!

French Surrender, Again!

Looks like the white flag has gone up again!

After they made it impossible to reach a quick ceasefire, the French have now wimped out on supplying troops to the UN in Lebanon. They will send a whole 200!!! WOW! Yet Annon is not saying boo about the turnaround the French have now made, but was quick to berate Israel for sending troops into Lebanon. Something stinks to high heaven here!

What a useless organization the UN has become (always been). They are puppets catering to their own needs, jobs, and could care less about what is really going on in the world. What use do they have when all they do is make resolutions, but never carry them out? Who is even listening to them anymore? They are like the Liberal party, in need of a major overhaul.

So, where is this UN force of 15,000 going to come from now? The hezbollah? The French should be hanging their heads in shame, but they won't, cause, well, they are lovers not fighters, or more appropiately, their government leaders are cowards. SHAME!

Elvis, Still the King!!

I cry every time I hear the song "In The Ghetto", it is still such a testament to the world we live in today.

Why is Elvis still the King? I think he was a very spiritual person, and we connect with not only Elvis, but with his beliefs. He wasn't scared to sing spiritual songs, it was obviously part of who he was, and by his songs, continues to be part of us. We don't want to let the spirituallity go, we need it to make sense of our lives.

It makes me so sad that his daughter had anything to do with Jackson, she is better than that. Maybe she has grown up!

Yes, I know his body is dead, but his music lives on, I hope for a long time. Most of his songs have a message, not like the junk that is popular today.

Status of Women, established by the Trudeau Liberals in 1973 to promote “gender equity” in Canadian politics, has engineered a “counter offensive” against the current efforts to force the agency to come clean on its ideological bias.

Now, as a female, I'm all for helping women, but those radical feminists do not represent me or my ideals. The Status of Women, is a dinosaur, it's ideals are dead, just like the dinosaurs, they just don't know that yet. I strongly object to their getting taxpayer money, to fight the government! How stupid is that?

On June 30, feminist columnist Heather Mallick wrote on the website of the CBC that REAL Women represents a threat to all that feminism has wrought, from the gay movement to abortion-on-demand. Mallick wrote, “If REAL Women were successful, the result would be bullying of these women: those wanting off welfare but who can't afford child care…poor women who need abortions and women beaten to a pulp who are afraid to venture on the street.”

Well let me tell you feminists, REAL women don't need government funding to exist, we are smart enough and strong enough to make it in the world without government help! You liberals suck the money up and have no results to show. You cry wolf at every organization that threatens your survival, you could care less about women who really need help.

Okay, let's only look at the term "fundamentally decent", what does that mean?? Decent only when we want to be?? I would be decent except, I have a company to raid?? Fundamentally, I agree with (place idea here, like global warming), BUT........that's what fundamentally means. Fundamentally decent....means I will do what ever I feel like, as long as I don't get caught!!!

The Liberals were being fundamentally decent when they accepted those brown paper bags filled with money........fundamentally( basically), they were helping Canadians by making their party stronger.

Protest Crazy! Doing Something Right!

If they are protesting against you, you must be doing something right! I was at first upset about all these protests that are going on, then, I thought about it for awhile, and came to a different conclusion. It appears to me, that people who are going out, and protesting, might get on the news, but they tend to tick the average Canadian off, more often than they help their cause.

Let’s start with the protesters for “national daycare”. Well I hate the idea of my kids having to be put in a daycare, I fear the costs associated with any “national” plan, and I prefer to make my own choices about my kids, thank you very much. So, those daycare nannies only made me, more sure that the Conservative plan was the way to go! Hey, and now that the cheques have started rolling, where are all those protesters?? The Liberals and NDP knew the Conservative plan was hugely popular, so, send out the protesters! Didn’t work!

Next, came the protesters against our troops in Afghanistan. Okay, I’m sorry, but protesting against our Canadian troops, who are risking their lives and dying in Afghanistan, because we sent them there, is just sick. You hear that you NDP limp wrists? Where are the NDP MP’s talking about the abuses against women that had been occurring under the Taliban………..nope, silence.

Then, came the gay games, or whatever they called them, oh sorry, that’s the out games. Well if I don’t care, why should the PM of Canada, I’m sure he had more pressing matters to worry about, like maybe Lebanon?

Then came the situation in Lebanon, I was cheering all the way for our government to get anyone who wanted or needed to get out, out. I wanted them back here safe, and they did get everyone back here safe, in record time. But, supposedly, it wasn’t quick enough, and OMG, not air conditioned!!! What did some of them do once they got back here, they promptly when out with hezbollah flags to protest against our government. Well seeing as it was taxpayers money that saved them, their protest ticked me off.

Now, it’s the aids conference. PM Harper is way up in the Arctic; good reason not to be at the conference, but well, not to some, their cause is the only important cause and PM Harper, should just drop all his commitments and get to this conference. Think about it you lefties, you boo the government or condemn PM Harper for not being there, are they really going to be in the mood to listen to you??? Hey, he’s missing meeting Bill Gates, and Bill Clinton!! As if our PM really cares about the celebrities, but you can bet Martin would have been there, publicity hounds need to feel important. I saw Layton was there, hound that he is.

So, putting all these protests into prospective, PM Stephen Harper, is obviously doing everything right, because the lefties are going protest crazy. Protest too much, too often, no one listens!

The Silence of the Feminists...

is deafening!!! Where are the feminists protesting about teachers getting beheaded because they are teaching females?? Where are the feminists screaming that women have the right to work?? To wear what they want, not burkas?? To be allowed to go shopping without a male relative?? To not be killed by their family because they got RAPED???

Where are the feminists, well, they are trying to get more government funding for a "national daycare" so they can inject their wisdom into our children. They are marching with hezbollah supporters. They are killing babies, so they can get face lifts using fetuses that make them look 10 years younger...as if that would help!!

Don't you dare support families, don't you dare go to church, don't you dare even think about taking away a "womans right to choose", don't you dare call abortion, baby killing, and oh by the way, you better fund my little group because we can't go out and get real jobs, doing something that would really help women.

I am sick of feminists and their fundamentally flawed thinking about, what I, as a female think or want. They are like the hippies, unions, and dinosaurs, way past their usefulness to society. At least the ice age wiped out the dinosaurs!

Muslims Starting To Wake Up?

Well from this, it looks like Muslims are starting to wake up, but I'm no expert.

I do know that I have been waiting for the Muslim community to start speaking out about some of the fanatics that are willing to kill innocent people for their "cause".

I think many countries have been more than patient with the Muslim community, waiting for them to control their members. It's not a sign of weaknesses on our part that we haven't retaliated, it's a sign of respect for true Muslims.

Patience is wearing thin though, hezbollah is a prime example of a cancer that can not be ignored. Seeing Lebanese in Canada carrying hezbollah flags, is not making me feel all warm and fuzzy about Muslims, or the Lebanese, that were rescued on our taxpayers dime. Seeing Muslims killing Muslims in Iraq, makes me wonder about this "peaceful" religion.

So, the Muslim community around the world has to start showing us that they are as upset about these terrorists as we are, or soon, we will not believe them anymore when they try to tell us that theirs is a religion of peace. And, that would be very sad.

Okay, imagine Paul Martin still being PM. It's scary.

We would still be trying to decide if we should send ships to Lebanon.

We would have pulled our troops out of Afghanistan, because, well, one of our goals is to make sure that all troops come home, with nothing less than a hangnail, anything else is unacceptable!

We would be sending China and other countries our tax dollars, in the BILLIONS, because Kyoto says we should transfer our dollars to another country, instead of actually reducing any pollution in our country. Sorry Toronto, more smog days for you, but wait, smog has nothing to do with greenhouse gasses, so the smog you see is a figment of your imagination!

First Nations, hummmmmmmmmm, well, Ontario bought the disputed land, they are allowing the natives to squat on the land, let's not even think about how the residents of Caledonia feel, let's be gentle, sensitive and gullible. Wow, if this works for the 6 nations band, imagine what the rest of Canada is in for!! Get over it, your great, great, great, great, great grandfathers signed some treaties, live with it!!! Hoooooooo Boy, I can anticipate the responses I'm going to get for that one!

We Are Forgetting About Iran!

In watching the hezbollah, Israel situation, Iran is being ignored. What's scarier, the hezbollah or Iran with nukes??

Let's not forget that Iran is sending money and troops to southern Lebanon to make sure that the Middle East remains unstable. Why are they doing that?? Well, their president has told the world numerous times that Israel needs to be wiped off the face of the earth. After that, who's next?

Okay, just thought I would get it out of my system, MEASURED!!

Measured, it's close to a month since Prime Minister Harper, used that one word, but the opposition and media have been beating him over the head with it. At the time it was a measured response, it still is, but the media won't tell you that, heavens no, measured response is rescuing all those Lebanese from a war.

It is the opposition that is taking sides with terrorists, do not doubt that for a second! Paul Martin dined with the Hamas terrorists, probably even gave them money to send missiles into Israel, but the media never called him on that, well I do, I call on all real Canadians (not those "sometimes" Canadians that got rescued on our dime) to support the Conservatives, because I fear that only real Canadians can now save our country from terrorists....oops, I should call them misguided, need a hug, militants, never terrorists.

Women's Rights, Why The Silence??

If the Lib/NDP are the party of the people, why the silence when women are treated worse that animals in Afghanistan? Why do they call for us to withdraw from Afghanistan when the people there need us to ensure freedom for all Afghanistans, especially women. How can these parties justify siding with terrorists against Israel?

Here is one tough lady that the Lib/NDP need to listen to, but they won't, and even if they do, they will write her off as not representing their "values"!! They remind me of the blind leading the blind. Actually, I shouldn't disrespect the blind in that way, sorry!

Distorting of the news by both CBC and CTV is getting so sickening I refuse to watch either one, but I bet the idiots in Toronto are eating it up. I say, we should start to boycott any company who advertises on either of these networks until they start REPORTING the news instead of MAKING in up!

The silent majority has been silent for too long, the lefties think we are sheep, well, this sheep might not go out and protest, that is soooo unCanadian, but I will boycott, and I will tell them why I am doing it! Ford is first on my list, and we are buying 2 vehicles, money talks, something the terrorists fail to understand, until they have none to build schools that hid an ammunitions bunker.

I Need Help!!!

I know I saw it, I just can't find anything about it! Can someone who is better at the searching game find it??

I was switching between the CBC and CTV and maybe it was on CNN, one of those stations showed an old BLIND woman being lead out of a bombed out building. They said she had been there for 10 days without food. I can't find any reference of it anywhere.

Reason I want to find it? Who the hell would leave an old blind woman to fend for herself for 10 days?? If you were leaving, wouldn't you take the blind woman? What kind of people abandon an old blind woman in a war zone? Or use her as a "victim" of war?

Did they realize that the optics were not in their favour?

I am sorry for all the innocents being killed, but I am getting suspicious of the hezbollah numbers. Why have only civilians died and no hezbollah fighers?

Look, we are not dumb, the media thinks we are, they think that showing us 60 protesters at Cornwall will make us change our vote next election. Well as far as I am concerned, anyone who protests about another country, in MY country, can go to that country. GET OUT, we don't need you, especially when you call MY Prime Minister a terrorist!!!! That totally disgusts me, makes me think that we Canadians need to STAND UP for Canada!

You want to protest, go back to your old country to do it, leave MY Canada alone.

Opposition, Mel On Same Page!

Okay poor Mel has been creamed in the press, but, if it's good enough for Mel, it should be good enough for the opposition.

All I hear is immediate cease fire. I agree, if an immediate cease fire will stop the killing of innocents, bring it on!!

The opposition, after hours of no cooperation, voted 7-4 to tell our government that it should call for an "immediate" cease fire.

Okay, government, go for it, call for one, see if anything happens. NO??? Shucks, why am I amazed nothing happened.

What does amaze me is that during 5 or so hours of the foreign affairs meeting, no witnesses were called, the opposition actually called the Red Cross biased!! The opposition totally sided with hezbollah, only briefly did I hear any member of the opposition say anything about the people in Israel being killed.

So, if Mel believes that Jews started all the wars, he is in good company, because, that's exactly what the opposition parties in Canada believe. I saw it all on CPAC!!!

Democracy Hi-Jacked!!!

Okay, was I the only one who watched CPAC today? They covered a foreign affairs committee on supposedly "the rescue of Lebanese". Well what I saw was the opposition hi-jacking and making a mockery of democracy!!!

First, they grilled Peter MacKay on Canada's response to the rescue of Canadians from Lebanon. Then they grilled him on our government's response to the war, then they realized they were looking like idiots, so, they changed tactics over lunch.

They came back, and wanted to vote on a VERY BIASED motion from the Bloc, WITHOUT letting any witnesses appear before them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, let's not hear what the citizens of Canada think about anything, let's just vote, because we have already desided how we are going to vote. It just about made me physically sick. They didn't even want to hear from the Red Cross, they said the witnesses were too biased???? Oh my God, who was being biased??? Okay, so, no witnesses, so, let's go immediately to a vote on the motion. Wow, that's democracy at it's best, let's not listen to people who have gone through the evacuation, let's not hear from people who are going into Lebanon to provide aid.

This would be like a judge telling everyone he didn't need to hear the evidence, he had already made up his mind!

Okay, so, the Conservatives put forward a motion that would override the Bloc garbage. Peter Van Loan, did a great job of keeping his cool, presenting his case, and explaining exactly why Canada was against terrorists.......all to deaf ears. Motion defeated.

Then, Keith Martin (the Liberal with the pointy ears) came up with a new motion, written on a napkin, which asked for an immediate ceasefire. The Conservatives agreed if they would add the word sustainable ceasefire.........Motion defeated.

All votes were 7 to 4 against any motion of the government. What a crock!!! The Conservatives even tried to get them to agree to the EXACT same wording as the EU came up with, Motion defeated.

What a sad display of ignorance and political hi-jacking by the opposition. What it made me vow, was that I would work endlessly to get the majority that is needed for the Conservatives.

The opposition, especially Alexa, who is past her best buy date, today made me sick. They pretended to be concerned about the people being killed, but all I saw was the opposition ganging up on the government to try and further their own ends. SHAME!!!

Great job Peter Van Loan!!!!!!!! You presented a rational voice against biased (against Israel, for Hizbollah) opposition. You tried everything you could, but it was like a fish swimming up the river, you might as well have been pounding your head against a wall. The result was predetermined!!!

So, how often can we let the opposition hi-jack democracy, for their own ends? Voting on a motion, before you have heard any witnesses?? SHAME!!!

We Need To Know Where The Monsters Are Living!

I only heard about the Amber Alert today at around 11, you can bet the minute I heard about it, I drove to the playground I had let my 10 year old go to earlier in the morning, and made him come home. This is a playground that has a supervised playground attendant and is only a block and a half from home, in a great area of Edmonton. It didn't matter, as a Mom, I admit, I panicked! All of my prayers are going out tonight to the two young boys that are in the hands of a sexual predator.

I do wonder why no Amber Alert was issued earlier, even news reports are only reporting the abduction of Zachary Miller and seem to be ignoring that Jordan Bruyere was listed as missing earlier, is this because Jordan is Aboriginal? I sincerely hope that is not the case.

Sexual predators are despicable monsters, but we do not monitor them, we do not know if they are living next door to us, we, as parents have no way to protect our children.

Liberal judges have let this monster live among us, protecting him, not our children. It is time for all of us parents to send a message to these Liberal judges that we are fed up with their bleeding heart mentalities. If they want to release these monsters into society, I suggest that they invite them to live with their children or grandchildren, because that is what they are making us do! They are making us live with monsters, without our knowing they are even there! I bet all judges know where the sexual predators are living, why can't we??

So, today, I kept my 10 year old inside, I can't do that for the rest of the summer. I can't be with him all the time, he would hate Mommy hanging around the playground all day. I have explained to him what has happened, we have a password he will remember, but I fear it is not enough!!

And why was no Amber Alert issued for Jordon?? If it had been, maybe Zachary would still be at home safe. Maybe Zachary's parents would have reacted like I did, and kept him home!

We need a national sexual predator registry, that ANYONE can access. We need to know where the monsters are living.

A Messed Up Abortion, Or, Murder?

Okay, I know that a baby is supposedly only a baby once it has been born, before that it is a zygote, or collection of cells. That's what the liberals tell us anyways!

Well this zygote, seems to have been a messed up abortion, that managed to get born, becoming a baby, only to be killed!

Women's choice, or doctors, nurses and women killing babies? Even liberal thinking people must be sickened by this article. If you aren't, better check yourself for a heartbeat, you might be dead, and don't even know it! If you do detect a heartbeat, check for brainwaves, because anyone with even half a brain can understand that a baby was born, and killed.

Don't give me any of that zygote garbage, I have never heard a pregnant woman refer to her baby, wanted or not as a zygote!

I've Been Thinking About This All Day...

Immigration. So many Lebanese-Canadians arriving here have made me question our immigration policies. Why aren't they Canadian-Lebanese? Nope, all media are calling them Lebanese-Canadians. Can I be a Canadian-Canadian?? Even Stats Canada does not let me label my children as Canadians. They had to be classified as English/Ukrainians, even though their Dad is not sure his people really were from England, they think they are but, mostly they think they are Canadian. My family was from both the Ukraine and Poland, but that was generations ago.

I have always been and always will be a Canadian. Check your census form, that is not an option. You can not check off Canadian as your ethnic choice. It is not there, so there are no Canadians according to Stats Canada.

Until our government starts to acknowledge the fact that people born here are Canadians, we do not exist.

So, is it any wonder that Lebanese-Canadians feel torn because they left parents behind in Lebanon? One of my kids friends is spending the summer in China, because that is where his Father works. Seems his Father only comes back to Canada often enough to get his wife pregnant again. She and the kids live here, the Father lives elsewhere.

Immigration is a great idea, but only if the people coming here become Canadian-Canadians.

Never Again, Unless...

It's Israel being bombed. This is reminding me of the holocaust, when people were bringing pictures of Jewish people being sent to the ovens out of Germany, and no-one cared. People turned a blind eye to 6 million Jews being murdered.

Then Jewish people had no country to go to, not like our "sometimes" Lebanese-Canadians, who got passage on the free ship "Taxpayer". Don't get me wrong, we needed to get all who wanted to get out, out. Now, those we got out should not be marching in protests against our government. Those little Lebanese princesses can get their butts back to Lebanon and start rebuilding that country if they care for it that much, and are so upset with our government.

Israel is defending itself from terrorists, plain and simple. If the world stood by and let 6 million French Canadians be killed by us English Canadians, because they didn't speak English, wouldn't the French Canadians have a reason to want to defend themselves? If Quebec was a nation and we came in and kidnapped 2 of their soldiers, after killing 6 million of them before, wouldn't they fight back?

I'd like to say that left thinking people will wake up, but left and thinking are not terms that go together.

My wholehearted support goes to Israel, my prayers are with them. I see the world, standing by while terrorists kill more innocent people. I also see the world siding with those terrorists. I thank Israel for standing up to these murderers. I Thank God, Canada is standing firm against terrorists!

UN Being Used, Say It Isn't So!

Very interesting view from someone who should know about the UN base that was bombed.

So, it appears that the Hezbollah are using UN positions to bomb Israel. Well, if they are willing to use children and women, why not the UN?

We went to CapitalEx (used to be called Klondike Days) today, the military had some people there. I talked to one soldier who had been in Afghanistan and was expecting to go back, he was positive, and very happy that they were getting new equipment, and that Canadians were showing their support.

I also talked to some soldiers that were sitting in an armor plated ambulance. They explained to me that they seldom went off base with them, because they were targeted when the terrorists saw the Red Cross.

So, my conclusion is that terrorists are cowards, they hide behind women, children, UN observers, and medical personnel. Wow, that sure inspires me to sympathize with their cause.

Promise Made, Promise Kept

Well, you sure can't say the Conservatives make promises to us voters that they don't keep.

One more promise kept!

"Stephen Harper made it very clear during the election campaign that if the Conservatives were elected they would compensate the people who had been left out of an original deal to compensate people who contacted Hepatitis C through blood transfusions in hospitals," CTV's Ottawa Bureau Chief Robert Fife said earlier this month.

I am enjoying seeing a government keep their election promises. I bet the Hep C people are happy too! Money is not going to bring these people's health back, but it is the least we as Canadians can do to compensate for the failure of our health care system.

Keep this up and people might start believing in politicians again!!

Okay, Time For A Rest!

What I saw on the news today, was no more Lebanese Princesses shouting about how hard done by they were, while escaping all those bombs. Guess they couldn't find anymore disgruntled "sometimes" Canadians to interview.

So, I took the time today, to smell the roses. Literally! I stopped watching the news, went outside and worked in my garden. I feel much better tonight for doing it too. We had new potatoes and fresh beans for supper, grown by me, and enjoyed by the whole family!! It made me appreciate Canada, and the simple things, like a carrot pulled out of the ground, washed, and eaten by my kids.

We need to go out and smell the roses more often. But those sparrows making off with my pea leaves are starting to tick me off.... anyone have slingshot?

Just kidding, they can have all the pea leaves they want as long as they leave us the peas!!! Now those rabbits are another story.........

Backfire!

The CBC has been showing only disgruntled Lebanese arriving into Canada, hoping to make the Conservatives look bad. Sorry, it's not working. It's going to backfire!

Liberals can not understand that Conservatives do not put up with whinny people who got to Canada because of our tax dollars. I am happy to help those people who truely appreciate our help, and I suspect that makes up about 99% of the people who we have rescued. I don't think they all have to bow down and say "Thanks Canada", but, when I hear they get off the taxpayer funded plane and go directly to a protest, sorry, but that ticks me off big time!!!!

Do we really know who we are letting into our country?

If the Lebanese were smart, they would get a rally together, not protesting Israel, but telling us "real" Canadians that they are happy to be home in Canada. Period.

We are smart enough to realize that Lebanon is not the problem, only Hezballah.

I am worried about how many Hezballah terrorists have now arrived in Canada. I am worried for the future of my kids. I am totally in support of "MY" government and I refuse to listen to "sometimes" Canadians who want to change "MY" country into something I do not recognize.

I was born here, this is my country, and I am not going to give in to terrorists, be they real or "sometimes" Canadians trying to change "MY" country into something, I, a "real" Canadian do not want. These "sometimes" Canadians are just like terrorists, they protest, hold rallies, and tell me that I should think the same way they do.

If you are not happy here, GO BACK to wherever you came from, and protest there, if you dare!! Or, become a true Canadian. Work hard, get ahead, and provide a safe environment for your children.

Evacuees arrive home


Meanwhile, planes carrying the first wave of evacuees arrived in Ottawa and Montreal on Friday, and some had harsh words for the government.


"It was inhuman what they did," said Tania Elia, who arrived in Montreal. "People were on the boat, one over each other. People were vomiting."


Another evacuee said she was "ashamed to be Canadian" and regretted the apparently arduous journey.


"If I knew that it was going to be like this, I would have stayed in Lebanon under the bombs," said Roula Karbash. "It would be easier."

Poor Tania, people were vomiting!!! It's called sea sickness, do you think the government planted vomiters on the ship just to bug you??

Media Making Lebanese Look Like Whiners

Well the media should be happy that they are portraying the Lebanese as ungrateful. I was feeling sorry for all the people stranded in Lebanon, until the media showed me the first boat arriving. One person was upset because they had no AIR CONDITIONING, well sorry, the government is trying to get everyone out safely, guess they forgot to ask whether the rescue boat had air conditioning.

The media should look at the coverage because they are making ordinary Canadians think that the Lebanese are ungrateful and are only using Canada to get out of a war torn area.

The Lebanese being rescued should understand that "regular" Canadians are not going to put up with "sometime" Canadians whinning, they should just be happy that Canada got them out, at taxpayer cost.

Edmonton Lebanese Protest Ticks Me OFF!!!

Okay, for years now, everytime I see ethnic groups from other countries protesting on Parliament Hill, or anywhere else, about how things are soooo bad in their countries, I have always yelled at the TV telling them to go back home then. You are either Canadian, or a "sometime" Canadian. If you are some other countries citizen first, Canadian second, go home. Why should my tax dollar pay to bring you back to Canada, when you have never really been Canadian?

So, if the Lebanese are not happy with how the rescue mission is going, go there and save your own people. I am sick and tired of the media coverage that only shows people who are mad at the government. I feel that most Lebanese are great Canadians, but fear is making them scared, I understand that, but don't protest in my country and expect me to support you, especially not when you slam my government and not the real cause of the problem. The Lebanese government has no control over the southern portion of their own country, blame them, not the Canadian government. It is not the Canadian government that is firing missiles at Israel.

STOP protesting against the government and START acting like real Canadians by supporting and helping all efforts that can help ALL people stranded in Lebanon.

Shame on the people who have time to protest, but no time to help. Disgusting.

Small Things Bring Great Pleasure

Here in Edmonton, we have a Front Yards in Bloom contest. I didn't get a sign last year, but today, I got a sign!!!!!!! I started most of my flowers way back in January, so that they would be blooming now, guess it paid off! Small things bring great pleasure!

I can't reconcile my joy in getting a simple sign, with my despair about the Mid East. I just want it all to stop. I think the Israelis are right in protecting themselves, but I am sad that people in Lebanon are suffering along with the Israelis.

My prayers are with all sides, but I feel God weeping. This situation with terrorists is getting out of control. Something is going to snap, and here in safe Canada, I fear for my kids. What will the world look like in 20 years? Are all women going to be wearing black burkas and be restricted from driving or voting? Are my kids going to be punished because they are Christians?

We can not ignore the terrorists. If they keep blowing themselves up, maybe we have a fighting chance! Kind of like all the Liberals aborting their babies. Attrition!!! Oh, and by the way, Alexa, is way past her best buy date!!! The NDP are so out of touch with real Canadians I can't believe anyone votes for them.

Harper Sides Firmly With Israel

If the US was bombing us daily, would we not be justified in responding? If they kidnapped our soldiers, would we not be justified in going full out to get them back?? If our land or people were being threatened, would we not respond?

Justice appears to be different in the mideast. I fully support Israel's response so far, and I am glad that our Conservative government has now come out to fully support their position as well. The only thing keeping the mideast from war is Israel, they know that Israel will not blink. So, return their soldiers, if this doesn't happen soon, cut all support by all charitable organizations for a few days, see if that helps to make them understand that they survive by the good wishes of the hated west.

Evolution, Kyoto, And Naturally Occuring Substances

Okay, had a wonderful holiday, the horseback riding left me with a sore butt, the golfing was great, but it's good to be home!

Now, my point, scientists have still not proved that we evolved. Why are there no halfape-halfhuman's running around? Did the iceage freeze them? Why didn't apes and humans freeze then? Oh, who cares whether we evolved or not, we are here, that's good enough for me.

Now, scientists are trying to convince us that global warning is a threat. I think pollution is a threat, and something that can be measured. Global warming, if you listen to the MSM is a done deal, it's happening, and we better control it or the earth will change dramatically. Hummmm, like the iceage came and went without our help? Did that change the earth dramatically? Well, we aren't having to fight dinosaurs at least, well maybe only liberal dinosaurs. What is the great cause of global warming, CO2.

Now, let's think about naturally occuring substances. Butter is natural, margarine is not. For years, margarine was good, butter was bad. Now, margarine has all those bad trans-fats, butter doesn't. Sugar is natural, artificial sugar substitutes are not. What's with this new milk-to-go that lasts for months? Can that really be good for you? It's sure not natural. So, naturally occuring or artifically manipulated, which would you choose.

To tie it all up, scientists still can't prove evolution, why should we believe them when it comes to global warming? Naturally occuring, last time I checked, CO2 was a naturally occuring substance, pollution is not. So, why are we fighting CO2 and not pollution?

For Life Or For Death

Pro this, anti that, let me make it clear, because I get confused at the terms used by both sides. It boils down to this, you are for the life of babies, or you are for the death of babies.

A Liberal has put a bill before Parliament, hoping to make abortions after 20 weeks illegal, various groups are saying this would restrict a "women's right to choose". This is such a tired phrase that I can't believe the baby killers are still using it.

As a female, my right to choose, is not to have sex, or to take various pills that will prevent pregnancy, once I become pregnant, my rights should not superceed those of my baby. We both have the right to life. A baby is not something to be dismembered and discarded just because it is not wanted. Women need to stop using abortions as birth control.

It is totally disgusting that Canada has no abortion law at all. This means that as long as the baby still has a foot in the womb, a doctor can suck it's brains out and call it justified.

I cry for those babies, who have no rights under Canadian law.

Blue vs Red

Okay, I know this is silly, but....I was switching between CBC and CTV News the other day during the questioning of PM Harper and the Japanese PM, both stations were covering it live, so they were identical, but one bugged me for some reason. I thought maybe one had a crisper image, but, no, that didn't seem to be the problem, both stations were sending out clear images. It held true the next day during the live coverage of President Bush and the Japanese PM as well, I preferred one station over the other for some reason.

As I continued to flip between the two, I finally saw it, and now I can't stop seeing it!!!

It's all in the colour!!!

One station is predominently red, the other blue!!! See, I told you it was silly, but I kept wanting to watch CTV over CBC, and couldn't figure it out, until I realized I liked the blue, even their ticker tape is blue, while CBC has red all over it's broadcast.

I'm not saying that CTV is more Conservative because they use blue, as a matter of fact, alot of the time I find them more left than CBC, but, our new government sites are blue, why isn't CBC?? Don't we pay $1 Billion a year for a government run and taxpayer paid for TV station?? Is it too much to ask for some blue on CBC??

Okay, I bet you are going to see it now too!!! All that red and all that blue.

Alberta Week in Washington

Well, if the federal government won't market us, we will do it for them!! Klein is in Washington and he is getting our message out to the US. A safe secure source of energy is right next door! This benefits all of Canada, not just Alberta.

Rains in Washington might dampen our reception, but Klein will get attention, he has already met with VP Cheney.

Should Be An Interesting Summer

Okay, it's my first day of holiday, and I've been busy watering flowers and weeding the garden, between weeds, I was thinking about what the 5 new priorities are going to be, so, what would yours be for this government? Maybe we can determine what they should be and help the new government.

One for sure will be the environment. I felt sorry for Rona because the opposition were working soooooooo hard to get an idea of what they are planning. She hung in though, despite scuzzy NDP tactics, she's going to have fun this fall I predict. She is a terrific role model for our young ladies.

I want lower taxes, less government, and way fewer social programs. I want the money from useless social programs diverted to disabled/elderly people, directly, not through some agency that only gives money to it's friends. Finally, I want to see less of my taxes going to support the CBC, not more, like the Liberal senators would like to see happen. Transfer hockey to TSN and I have absolutely no reason to watch CBC, that $1 Billion would go a long way towards wheelchairs for the disabled.

So, what else? Indian affairs? Fiscal balance?? Lower taxes? Cutting bogus social programs? What would make your life as a Canadian taxpayer better? What policy do you want to see implemented?

Bill to Raise Age of Consent for Sex from 14 to 16 Introduced, Gay Activists Opposed

Well, why would gays oppose protecting our children?? Is it because they can't have any themselves so they don't understand how serious this is? Why does planned parenthood disagree with this? Does it mean fewer abortions for them? Does it mean that they have to get parental consent before they can make a 14 year old get an abortion? Is that why they are scared?

As a parent of a 13 year old, I think this is a great bill and I will be watching who votes for and who votes against this bill. Liberal degradation of our society must end. Swingers clubs are legal now thanks to our supreme court justices, that also means that a 14 year old can legally be in that club. That's just sick!!!!

I hope that people who care about their children will email their MP's and get them to support this bill.

Our babies need to be protected.

RONA Is Not Blonde

Okay, when I heard that Rona Ambrose was made the environment Minister, I actually laughed out loud, not because she is lacking in her ability to do the job, but because I knew that she was one tough cookie that would get the job done.

It seems that the NDP are scared of just that, they wanted her "booted", but the Liberals backed down (duh, no leader).

What I think is that the opposition has no idea of what the Conservatives are going to do on the environment and have been trying very hard to find out, but no-one is talking.

I will bet anyone that the environment will be one of the next 5 priorities of the Government, that's why the opposition has been trying so hard to find out what the Conservatives are up to, but mark my words, this fall, the environment will be front and center, and the opposition will not like it, because, the Conservatives are going to have a plan that will blow the opposition out of the water. Kyoto will be a thing of the past I hope, China/Russia should not get my hard earned tax dollars for doing nothing.

We all care about the environment, but we do not need to be raped by other countries of our hard earned tax dollars. Any party still supporting the failed Kyoto Accord, needs to look again, be careful, be very careful, voters are not idiots. Don't you dare vote to send my hard earned dollars overseas. Clean up our environment, yes, but keep our dollars here to do it. What part of that doesn't the opposition understand??

The Liberals made a big show of supporting the Kyoto Agreement, but had no plan. Same with Kelowna, didn't even sign the Kelowna accord, but Liberals still don't get the fact that, THEY ARE THE OPPOSITION!!!

So, Rona is not blonde (sorry all real blondes out there, I mean no harm), not like Belinda, the oh so glassy eyed MP(what the heck was her Ministry? Did she even do anything? Oh, I guess we didn't expect that of a faux blonde).

Supreme Court Judges To Make More Than The Prime Minister

Well, opposition is not happy that the Conservatives only want to increase judges salaries by 7.25%, instead of the recommended 10.8%.

Okay, can any of you out there remember the last time you got a 7.25% increase in your salaries, let alone a 10.8% increase?? The judges salaries are already indexed to the rate of inflation, so this raise would be on top of that automatic increase.

Under the Conservative plan, which must secure enough votes to pass in the minority Parliament, the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, Beverley McLachlin, would receive an immediate salary increase to $298,500, instead of the $308,400 the commission recommended.

The other eight judges on the court would earn $276,400, instead of $285,600.

Chief justices and associate chief justices on the Federal Court, Tax Court of Canada, and superior courts in each province would earn $254,600, rather than $263,000 and all other judges would see salary gains to $232,300, instead of the commission's recommendation of $240,000.

So, the chief justice and other justices will earn more than the Prime Minister!!!

It appears that judges is more worthy than the Prime Minister, who has to run this country?? This is unacceptable, especially when those same judges are giving us such wonderful things as swingers clubs, and reducing sentences of baby rapists, because that's not violent?

Maybe those poor, underpaid judges will just go back into private practice and we can get some that are willing to uphold the law, instead of making it!!!!

I also think the MP's that are protesting are doing so because they want a 10.8% increase in their own salaries. Hang on to your pockets folks, we are about to be robbed once again!!!!!

PM Just An Average Guy Moneywise

Well, as if we didn't already know it, the PM is no millionaire, like many former PM's. How Martin got away with keeping his business interests, setting them up as tax free havens, paying non-Canadians slave wages and polluting our waters, is really beyond me, except that Liberal friendly media never really mentioned any of those "little" items.

Seeing Prime Minister Stephen Harper at the Oilers game, in the cheap seats, surrounded by regular fans, not in some private box, did my heart good. Yup, so far he really is an average guy, with an average family, but he is doing an exceptional job as PM. Maybe he can do that because he has had to budget his families expenditures, say no to his kids sometimes because they couldn't afford something, and make do with what they already have, instead of getting the newer, better model. Sounds like my family!

Sounds like it is slim pickings for the Liberal party to harp on, and Ruby Dhalla is sounding more shrill, and idiotic everytime she questions Minister Clements 25% share in a drug company. Get a brain Ruby, look at your own ex-PM before you open your mouth. And, maybe your own investments should be looked at:

Protect Incombents Or Not??

Saskatchewan colleague Gerry Ritz, who said he isn't concerned about his own seat, said he has some sympathy for the protection argument. There have been many cases of contenders enrolling thousands of "instant" party members - sometimes from ethnic communities - to scoop a nomination.

Well, I was at an annual board meeting of a charity, where the president got totally hi-jacked by a swarm of new members who elected a new president.

There was nothing democratic about that election. It was a total misuse of the democratic process.

If you want to challenge for a position, you should have to relay that intention at least 3 months in advance. Then it becomes a fair fight.

Hundreds of before unregistered people just showing up at the meeting is showing a total lack of respect for democracy.

Quebec Goes After Oil Companies - NEP2?

The dreaded carbon TAX is raising it's ugly head in Quebec!

Quebec plans to tax oil and gas companies to finance its plan to implement the Kyoto protocol but also says it needs money from Ottawa to fight climate change, Premier Jean Charest said Thursday.

"The Kyoto protocol isn't perfect but currently it's the best thing on the table," Charest told a news conference. The tax is expected to raise $200 million a year that Quebec will spend on its 2006-2012 action plan to curb emissions.

A spokesman for the petroleum industry said the tax will end up passed on to consumers. Environmental groups welcomed Quebec's move.


Wake up Quebec, get your bikes out, because gas prices are about to rise.

Simple economics, if an oil company can sell gas anywhere in the world without paying a carbon tax, why would they pay for it in Quebec? They will pass it on to the consumer, or not sell it there. Those are the options.

So, Quebec, enjoy Kyoto. Biking in the winter will really clear the greenhouse gases and make you all healthier!

We as a society are buying into the liberal mind set that we must pity and help the criminals because they were somehow disadvantaged growing up. BULL-Turdies.

You do the crime, you do the time. And judges better start getting with the system, or, they will start feeling the heat from ordinary people, who are getting tired of the light sentences they keep dishing out. Most people feel that judges are somehow better and more knowledgeable than average people, but us average people understand that the judge was wrong in this case. Too often we forget about the VICTIMS of crime, and judges are clearly out of touch with us "average" people.

What ever happened to VICTIMS RIGHTS? I say, we need tougher sentences and a place on Hans Island to house them. We wouldn't even need guards! They could learn survival skills and because Canadians are living on Hans Island, we retain our rights to the Island.

NBC Has Better Coverage Of Hockey

It's totally shameful when we get better coverage on NBC than on CBC when it comes to hockey. Cole and Neale are total wipeouts and drove me to watch NBC to get a better prospective on the game. CBC needs to wake up, we can watch other channels now!!!!!!!!! I can think of better ways to spend $1 Billion per year than on the CBC.

Why Is Quebec Still A Have Not Province??

Yes, Quebec is different, but they suck up BILLIONS of dollars that other provinces could use. They brag about their $7 a day daycare, but who is paying for it? WE the taxpayers of Canada, not Quebec. They have all these fancy programs that they don't have to pay for, because the Feds will fund them. I heard the Bloq yap about employment insurance benefits for older workers who get layed off, okay, I can support helping them, but why do we have to support every socialist program Quebec wants, just because they are Quebec.

Get working Quebec, stop sucking on the teat of Canada and become a productive province in Canada for once in your life. Grow some balls and stop depending on the rest of Canada to support your welfare habit. We are sick and tired of hearing your politicians bashing Alberta, because we actually work for a living. Ontario jury finds Linklater guilty of murder

Justice Harry LaForme cited a federal government directive to reduce the number of native Canadians in jail.

"It is my duty to endeavour to remedy this crisis of drastic over-representation of aboriginal people in our penal institutions," LaForme said.

Now, is it just me, or could the drastic over-representation of aboriginal people, maybe, just maybe, be because they are the ones doing the crimes???

During question period, Liberals and NDP get up and complain that tougher sentences are going to mean more aboriginals in jail! You think?? Do we now have to balance our jails so that we are politically correct? We need to have 50% whites balanced by 50% others?

But, to get back to this article, 57 criminal convictions, and the judge gives him a conditional sentence, to be served in the community?? Who is protecting the community, certainly not the judge.

I feel for the victims, but listen to the NDP/Liberals, they never mention the victims. We need a website that tracks decisions by judges. Let's start getting their names out there, let's start making judges accountable, to us, the taxpayers, for their decisions.

Robin Hood, What A Bad Idea!!!

Okay, we all love the idea of taking from the rich to give to the poor. Back in the olden days, it was a necessity. The rich were truly taking advantage of the poor. Is it still, the case today, or are we just loving our Robin Hood while blindly ignoring what an example it is setting, especially for the poor.

How does the average Canadian get rich?? Education, work, innovation, and maybe some good investments, can get you ahead. Is education universal? Yes. Work, can we all work? Yes. Invest? Yes. If I create something innovative, like Velcro, should I be rewarded? Yes. So, if I do all those things and “happen” to get rich, must I share? NO. Will I share? Yes. Do I pay way more in taxes than the average person? Yes. Does this benefit the economy? Yes.

Contrast that with the drug addicted individual. Do they do anything to get ahead, support their family, and help create a better society? NO. Do they need help? For sure! Does guaranteeing people an income, no matter what they do, or do not do, make them more productive members of society? No. Should we support single Mom’s, of course! Should we be forced, by our taxes to support people who can work, but refuse to? No.

Let’s go bigger here; should provinces be able to spend without fear of the consequences because, they know the federal government will bail them out, or municipalities, or non-profit organizations? Should the First Nations, get revenues from their land, without a reduction of their benefits? Should provinces create a daycare system, that is available to only 25% of people in the province, but expect the whole province to pay for it? Third world countries, are they getting better because of our monetary support? Or, do they rely on our support while killing their own people because they are not the right faith, or colour? What is happening to the Hamas, now that they have no money?

A culture of entitlement, only leads to more hands in our pockets. Remember, all levels of government have only one revenue generator, US, the taxpayers. So, we the productive workers, pay municipal, provincial and federal taxes, guess we get hit 3 times, batter out! Also remember, that the corporate taxes paid, are because of what we have purchased from those companies, so, again, the corporate taxes, are our taxes. Depressed yet?

So, Robin Hood, an idea who’s time has come and gone, kind of like unions. You give someone freebies, they just want more and more freebies. Stop the freebies, stop Robin Hood!

Age Of Consent, Might Just Pass

Any member of any party that does not vote for this bill is not listening to the mothers and fathers that have to deal will a 14 year old child who can legally have sex with anyone. They are not old enough to smoke, drive a car, or vote, but they are old enough to consent to SEX???????????

Canada is becoming a haven for perverts that want sex with children, and don't tell me that 14 is an adult. We need to protect our most valuable resource, our children. If this bill does not pass, it will show how sick our society has become.
