QP Nov 20/08: They're Back!!!

It's been a long time since QP happened, but it appears as if it's the same old junk from the opposition parties. Here is the abridged version of question period, from my point of view. If you don't like it, make your own video.

Welcome to the MP newbies!

As I watched QP I realized that the players are mainly the same, especially for the bloq. What is different is that Conservative MP's and Ministers are feistier. They are not taking the lefty garbage. James Moore slammed the bloqhead into the ground. I was reminded of the "whack a mole" game, that's what the Conservatives were doing to the opposition. One would stand up, spout and the Minister would whack'em. I hope it continues, the Conservatives are finally taking charge, standing up and firing at the opposition parties.

They continued to invite the opposition to present their ideas to help the economy, and the opposition repeatedly failed to do so. They're back and just as dysfunctional as ever.

At least my MP, James Rajotte comported himself as usual; calm, directed and non-confrontational, heck even Liberal MP Shawn Murphy (Hang'em High) from PEI likes him. (Is that a good thing?)

They're back!

New Choppers On The Way?

Can't be soon enough for our troops! The helicopter contract that Chretien ripped up has caused our troops and coast guard no end of problems. Finally, it seems the end is near, and we might actually have some working helicopters!

Navy chopper takes first test flight

The long-awaited first flight of Canada’s new navy helicopter occurred over the weekend in Florida in a step builder Sikorsky Corp. called "a huge milestone."

The Cyclone helicopters still aren’t equipped, though, with vital mission systems — the on-board computers that will allow them to perform military missions.

The first Cyclone was supposed to be delivered by January 2009, but the Defence Department has stated the aircraft has been delayed until the middle of 2010 due to changes in its design.

Better late than never! Why didn't the Liberals get us new helicopters in the 13 years they had a majority? They had a surplus all that time, but spent it on advertising to Quebec firms, and billion dollar gun registries that did nothing to take guns off the streets.

Great news for the troops! Too bad the Liberals wanted nothing to do with our security and safety unless it meant votes.

CBC, Their Hands In Our Pockets!

Joanne over at Blue Like you, and Raphael over at Unambiguously Ambidextrous have both posted about the big spending CBC VP of French services (Poll on left side). Remember, this is one VP, what are the others up to?

Now in the paper version they have a nice little chart that illustrates the true picture:

Lunch and dinner $5,885.29 with their buddies, not even potential advertisers? My company makes us pay for Christmas parties, or we do a pot luck. $5,885.29 is a lot of perogies and kulbasa.

$92 for PRETZELS, $120 for OLIVES???? These guys are eating our tax money, and loving it!

Is it just us Conservatives who think this is excessive? Well these poll results seem to tell the truth.
So, 42% think the CBC costs taxpayers too much and 30% want the CBC sold off. That would make 72% of Canadian taxpayers unhappy with the CBC. Might they get a clue, or will they continue to tick off Canadians who want some responsible reporting?

CBC needs to realize this is a new day. Blogs, the internet, and satellite, are now everyday things to Canadians. The days of CBC being the only station we could watch are over. The day of government sponsored stations is over.

The CBC needs to sink or swim. How can CTV survive without government funding while the CBC execs party on? How is this fair to CTV or any other station that wants to compete in this market?

Free the market! Give us FOX Canada!

Iggies Mouth Piece!

It's funny enough that Iggy has Kinsella on his side, but he also has mouth piece Holland pulling for him!

It's all about getting PM Harper with the Liberals, are they seriously that out of touch with voters?
Have they failed to understand that Liberals stayed home because they could not vote for their Liberal candidate? Do they really think that if they get a new leader, they will win the next election?

Think about the two front runners, Iggy and Rae, and compare them to PM Harper. What would make anyone change their vote to the Liberals? Iggy, a conservative lite? Rae, a NDP lite? LeBlanc who?

I think the Liberals are in trouble, and it's not just a new leader they need. They talk about Liberal values, but I have no idea of what those are, and I suspect neither do Liberals. Holland talks about attacking PM Harper as the solution to their problems, are they that out of touch with voters? Seriously, do they really think that PM Harper is their problem?

Naughty Not Nice!

You had to know that the media would try to make the Conservative convention into a smear fest, but it appears that they understand that openly smearing the Conservatives who have 38% of the votes in Canada, might hurt their bottom line. They trumpeted the Liberal convention, as if it was the only important thing we Canadians needed to hear about, the Conservative convention, not so much. Guess the Conservatives did not have any condoms for sale.

What little coverage we got was about protesters and how we have shifted to the right.

Now let's look at each issue separately. First the protesters. I hear there were about 2 dozen, but look at the true face they present.

Isn't she a lovely image of what a real protester is all about? Protest, okay, it's your right, but a yelling angry person is not going to sway me to their position.

So, CTV thought 24 protesters were the most important issue to report about the Conservative conference. CBC can report anything they want because they have taxpayer funding and don't have to worry about advertising dollars. CTV should be very careful about their slant on the news, Conservatives might just protest like the lady in the picture. Spend your money wisely.

This one sentence says it all:

One resolution that passed is sure to be controversial, as the Conservatives said they want to create laws for the killing of unborn children.

The Conservatives want to create laws for the killing of unborn children???? Hello CTV.ca News Staff, are you nuts? Did anyone actually READ this story before it was published? We know that CBC is biased, but I find CTV more biased than CBC.

Maybe we should pay attention to who advertises on CTV, maybe they should feel our pain. It's not as if 38% of Canadians can be ignored by the media forever, somehow, sometime, we will be given a fair shake by the media, but until we do, keep your money in your wallet.

CTV gets two thumbs down for not only biased reporting but down right disgusting and blatant snobbery.

Let's start a Christmas list of who advertises on CTV, and mark them as naughty not nice.

Imagine If It Was Your Child!

Sending your child off to school, to find out that they have been attacked by thugs throwing acid.

KABUL (AFP) — An Afghan teenager -- whose face was burned in an acid attack by suspected Islamic extremists -- vowed on Saturday to continue going to school even if it put her life in danger.

Men on motorbikes used a water pistol to spray acid into the faces of Shamsia and around dozen other girls as they arrived at school wearing all-covering burqas in the southern city of Kandahar on Wednesday.

Shamsia, 17, was the most badly wounded and had some acid enter her eyes. She was transferred to a military hospital in Kabul where she was visited Saturday by other schoolgirls, accompanied by media.

"I will go to my school even if they kill me," she told reporters. "My message for the enemies is that if they do this 100 times, I am still going to continue my studies."

What courage! Back at home, we have teenagers complaining about homework.

Imagine sending your child off to school without winter clothing. You wrap their feet in rags so they can walk through the snow.

Try it. Tell your kids to walk to school in a t-shirt in minus 10 weather, with rags on their feet, instead of shoes. Could you?

Angelina Jolie Sees 'Real Suffering' in Afghanistan

Jolie, a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency, met refugees who have returned to their post-Taliban homeland to rebuild their lives after fleeing in 2001. She also visited projects by Afghan Hands, an organization helping women and children, inspired by her work with refugees. "After seeing real suffering," she tells PEOPLE, "you never complain anymore."

Imagine, telling your kids that they can't play their Xbox until they have done their homework. Homework is now cruel punishment inflicted by schools and teachers to make sure kids can't play on the computer as much as they want.

Imagine, telling your kids that, today, they should drink a lot of water to make them feel full, because there is no food.

Imagine, yourself living in Afghanistan, with your family as it is today. No computers, no power, no I pods, no hope, no food, and it's cold, but there is no heat.

Imagine, thinking that education is a "right" that should be free, while others are only hoping that their school will let them, as a female, learn to read and write.

Imagine, worrying about not having a family Doctor, while many Afghanistan's never get any medical attention.

Imagine, the difference our troops are making, in a land that needs a hand up. Is it any wonder why our troops are so supportive of this mission?
Can any Canadian seriously say that not helping Afghanistan's will make our world better? Or is this female ghost what we want?

Imagine, all opposition parties supporting the government so that little girls going to school will not have to fear acid in their faces.

Imagine, that this little girl was yours. How would you feel? Would you not be heartbroken? Would you not want revenge? Is an Afghan child less worthy of support than a Canadian child? Is a Canadian Mom's love better or more intense than an Afghan Mother's?

Imagine, your life in Afghanistan. Makes you appreciate Canada.

Friday Funnies: Hangovers!

I suspect that many Conservative convention goers are going to have massive headaches tomorrow, so to cheer all you guys up, here's a few funnies to read while you take your Tylenol and coffee.

Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?

BARACK OBAMA: The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a change! The chicken wanted change!

JOHN MC CAIN: My friends that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.

SARAH PALIN: BECAUSE, PRAISE JESUS, I WAS GONNA SHOOT HIS SORRY LIBERAL ASS OFF FOR BLOCKING MY VIEW OF RUSSIA !

HILLARY CLINTON: When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure right from Day One that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this really isn't about me.

GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle ground here.

DICK CHENEY: Where's my gun?

NANCY PELOSI: Under this administration there has been an alarming number of chickens displaced and I intend to stop it. We must pass a chicken crossing bill before all the chickens become displaced and this IS a crisis!

COLIN POWELL: Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road.

BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with that chicken. What is your definition of crossing?

AL GORE: I invented the chicken.

JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.

AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white? We need some black chickens!

DR. PHIL: The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on this side of the road before it goes after the problem on the other side of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he's acting by not taking on his current problems before adding new problems.

OPRAH: Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN: We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.

NANCY GRACE: That chicken crossed the road because he's guilty! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.

MARTHA STEWART: No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmers Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.

DR SEUSS: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.

ERNEST HEMINGWAY: To die in the rain, alone.

JERRY FALWELL: Because the chicken was gay! Can't you people see the plain truth? That's why they call it the other side. Yes, my friends, that chicken is gay. And if you eat that chicken, you will become gay, too. I say we boycott all chickens until we sort out this abomination that the liberal media whitewashes with seemingly harmless phrases like the other side. That chicken should not be crossing the road. It's as plain and as simple as that.

GRANDPA: In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.

BARBARA WALTERS: Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its lifelong dream of crossing the road.

ARISTOTLE: It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

JOHN LENNON: Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace.

BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken2008, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken2008. This new platform is much more stable and will never crash.

ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

COLONEL SANDERS: Did I miss one?

Perils of a Catholic Upbringing

As I walked down the busy sidewalk, knowing I was late for Mass, my eye fell upon one of those unfortunate, homeless vagabonds that are found in every city these days.

Some people turned to stare. Others quickly looked away as if the sight would somehow contaminate them.

Recalling my old pastor, Father Mike, who always admonished me to 'care for the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the naked,' I was moved by some powerful inner urge to reach out to this unfortunate person.

Wearing what can only be described as rags, carrying every worldly possession in two plastic bags, my heart was touched by this person's condition.

Yes, where some people saw only rags, I saw a true, hidden beauty.

A small voice inside my head called out, 'Reach out, reach out and touch this person!'

So I did.......

I won't be at Mass this week.

How to turn a speeding ticket into jail time!

Dear fellow employees:

As the CEO of this business that employees 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama will be our next President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases I figure that the Clients will have to see an increase in our fees to them of about 8% but since we cannot increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead. This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go.

So, this is what I did. I strolled through our parking lot and found 6 Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And we can't forget the cute pets now can we!

Then we have this one titled, "Just Don't Lick Me There!" HA. How come this one reminds me of someone? All you (Liberal, NDP, Bloq, Greens, otherwise referred to as lefties) it's a joke!!!!

Hope this relieves some of those headaches out there. Push for P-203 tomorrow/today!

The Conservative's Secret Weapon....

Laureen Harper! She gave an excellent speech at the Conservative convention. PM Harper gave a speech too, but as a female, I was the most impressed with Laureen's speech. She is beautiful, smart, and independent. It's no surprise that a strong guy like Stephen Harper would choose such a remarkable woman to marry. He knew a good thing when she sent that arrow into his heart!

I hope young girls in Canada will make Laureen their role model.

Conservative women are partners, not leeches. They realize they can be whatever they want to be, and they still have that pioneering spirit running strong in their veins. Feminists say they don't "need" men to be successful. Well, they are not happy because they fear the very thing that could make them complete, a family. They toil away at a "job", hoping it will fulfill them, and can not understand why they are unhappy. It's because they are one dimensional in a three dimensional world! They are lifeless cartoons, pretending they have the solutions for all women. Their mantra is no-men, no-kids, and consequently no-love. Kind of a bleak life in my opinion.

Women should look at Laureen Harper for an idea of what a "REAL" woman can be, a mother, a wife, and a career woman, without having to give up anything they want in their lives. They know they can support their husband without disappearing. They are confident in life, not afraid of their own shadows. They have compassion for those who are weaker, but you will not find them protesting on Parliament Hill, asking for the government to save them. You will find them at soup kitchens helping out, you will find them knitting mittens for kids in Afghanistan, you will find them helping the elderly, and the disabled, not by protesting, but by doing.

That is the difference between feminists and real women, one talks a lot, the other quietly does what the other is talking about.

I like our secret weapon, let's not keep her hidden so well! Or is she the "hidden agenda"?

Ignore The Trolls!

I started my blog years ago because I was so ticked off with the Liberals and where our country was headed. I was appalled by the outright stealing of taxpayers money by Liberals in what we now call Adscam. If Adscam did anything, it motivated the normally silent Conservatives, like me.

I slugged away for a long time, one blog among thousands of others, getting 20 to 30 readers a day, thanks mainly to being on the Free Dominion roll, and the Blogging Tories roll. I spent a few years blogging to mainly myself, and a few dedicated readers, then I made it to what I call the "front page" of the Blogging Tories and my readership increased a hundred fold. That is the power of a dedicated Conservative blogging site, it attracts like people interested in hearing what other Conservatives have to say, but, there is a down side.

Lately my blog actually made it onto the National Post website, and I thank them for that, it was a great honour. The problem is that as soon as a Conservative blogger gets noticed, the lefty trolls come out in full force, leaving trash comments. There are days I don't even want to check my own blog because I see that lefties have linked to a post of mine, and I know the trolls are sure to follow.

I have tried ignoring them, arguing with them, and deleting comments because of swearing. They keep coming back and they never have relevant comments on my actual post, they attack me and my fellow Conservative posters personally. This is what the lefties do best, denigrate those that have opinions that are different from theirs. They try to weaken us by bombarding us with their lefty garbage, and sometimes they succeed, some good Conservatives bloggers have given up posting because it is too much trouble to fight them. Closing down comments is one means to shut them up, but it kills discussion and that is what makes a blog interesting, so it's not an option. Stop blogging? Why let the arrogant, "progressives" win? This is how they play the game, and they are used to winning it, they "protest" or sue anyone who disagrees with them.

What they fail to understand is that blogging has given Conservatives a power they have never had before, their voices are being heard over the MSM lefty tilted news. We do not have to listen to the TV news anymore, we can read the newspaper, then go to blogs to get a new view on the articles, a Conservative view.

So, after much thought, and many slurs and ugly comments from the lefties, I have decided to tell them.....I'm not going anywhere!

Next topics are Sarah Palin, abortion, ugly feminists, and has Bob Rae had a face lift. Other interesting topics will be: how to raise a family while making a huge salary, pickles, perogies and raspberry wine. Followed by, how to compost, capture rain water, and use solar power to grow your tomatoes. Oh, and once in awhile, I will post about how much I respect the job PM Harper is doing for all Canadians, and how lame the Liberals are on real issues that concern real Canadians.

Given that I can not comment on my own blog during work hours, I am counting on my readers to help me support the Conservative view, without getting into personal flame wars. Ignore the trolls.

Facts over emotion.

On The 11th Month ....

Of the 11th day, at the 11th hour...

This one always brings tears to my eyes. It's just a moment in time, but it means so much to our veterans.

Tomorrow, my family will be at the Legislature, to remember our fallen, and give our support to the troops in Afghanistan.

Update: A Special Place: Vimy Ridge

I love this speech by PM Harper on the 90th anniversary of Vimy Ridge.

I grew up near an army base, I saw the dedication of our troops. I have seen the devastation of the Trudeau years; tanks rusting on parade fields with grass growing all around and between the cracks in the pavement.

I have seen a transformation take place since Harper has been Prime Minister, I have seen pride in our military return. I have seen the yellow ribbons on more cars, the tributes to our fallen by the people of Ontario lining the Highway of Heroes, and the renewed optimism of a country that knows it is helping the poorest of the poor succeed.

I wear red every Friday, and those in the military understand that I am supporting them. It's a small thing to do, but it means so much to our troops. Our veterans need to know that we understand their sacrifice, and that we honour them for keeping our country safe. They need to know that when they are gone, we will still remember.....on the 11th month of the 11th day at the 11th hour....we will remember.

Update: It has come to my attention through other blogger's, here, here and here, that the Canadian Human Rights Commission is going to place a wreath at the Memorial tomorrow, I find that totally disrespectful to our veterans. If every person who reads those blogs contacted their MP's, this issue would enter the next stage, protest. Let freedom ring! Email your MP about the Human Rights Commissions, and email their provincial counterparts while you are at it.

Remembrace: Remember The Victims!

Remembrance Day is vital to the heart of our country, especially with the high level of immigrants arriving at our doorstep. I will post a Remembrance Day tribute tomorrow, but today, I want to draw your attention to those that we fail to remember, victims.

Remember Shane Rolston, 17. Brutally killed by teenage thugs, who got house arrest.

According to agreed facts, the five men showed up at the house armed with a baseball bat, a pipe, a pool cue and a hockey stick just over an hour after four of them left the party due to a dispute. They returned to retrieve a cellphone.

Rolston, who was the designated driver that night, was smashed on the head with a blunt object. He never regained consciousness and died in hospital later that day.
.....

After court, the trio went to the courthouse cafeteria with their families, then grinned and chatted amongst themselves as they waited to sign papers.
Remember Shane Rolston, because these juvenile delinquents won't, they got away with murder.

But, Dion and crew, are against house arrest for killers, they will even bring the Conservative government down over this issue. Teens DELIBERATELY bringing bats, and hockey sticks to kill someone get house arrest, well that's just fine with the opposition parties. What about the victims? What about their families?

I googled " Ontario woman killed in gang violence" and here is a snapshot of the headlines:

So, let us remember our innocent victims.

Overwhelming Majority of Canadians Believe Canada's Justice System is Too Lenient on Repeat Offenders, Poll Reveals

-- Poll also reveals Canadians show tremendous support for a "three strikes" rule --

-- Results released in advance of CTV broadcast of Mayerthorpe this Sunday --

Toronto, ON (February 7, 2008) - Canadians across the country overwhelmingly believe that the country's justice system is too lenient on repeat offenders, a new poll released today by CTV and The Strategic Counsel reveals. As the third anniversary of the Mayerthorpe tragedy approaches, the issues surrounding the horrible event continue to engage the nation. The poll indicates that nationally, three in four people surveyed (75 per cent) agree that the Canadian justice system is too lenient on repeat offenders, with 50 per cent saying the justice system is "much too lenient."
Let us remember the victims, and their families. If the opposition bring the government down on the crime issue, be prepared for a huge backlash, and a Conservative majority. It is sickening that the opposition parties would use victims to gain votes.

Remember, Shane Rolston, remember Jane Creba a 15 year old, grade ten student, gunned down while shopping, remember all innocent victims of thugs. Remember who wants to let those thugs out of jail early, or give them house arrest for murder. Remember it is our liberal judges who think house arrest is just fine for killers. They also think releasing sexual predators into our communities is just fine, they think repeat offenders should not be punished, and they never get blamed for the repeat offenders who get out early to kill, or rape again.

Maybe our society is sick, because we have liberal judges who think morals and compassion for victims are not as important as releasing hardened criminals into our communities, as long as it isn't in their neighbourhood. Maybe we should start publishing the names of the criminals who are released along with the name of the judge or parole board who released them early. Maybe it's time for our justice system to be made responsible for their actions. Maybe it's time for the supreme court to stop MAKING laws and start enforcing the ones our Parliamentarians vote into law.

Subject: Shirley Goodnest & Marcy!

A mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking
to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She wanted to give
him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was
safe.

So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbour if she would
please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance, so he
probably wouldn't notice her. She said that since she was up early with her
toddler anyway, it would be a good way for them to get some exercise as
well, so she agreed.

The next school day, the neighbour and her little girl set out following
behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbour girl he knew. She
did this for the whole week.

As the two walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy's little
friend noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every
day all week.

Finally she said to Timmy, 'Have you noticed that lady following us to
school all week? Do you know her?' Timmy nonchalantly replied, 'Yeah, I
know who she is.' The little girl said, 'Well, who is she?'

'That's just Shirley Goodnest,' Timmy replied, 'and her daughter Marcy.'

'Shirley Goodnest? Who the heck is she and why is she following us?'

'Well,' Timmy explained, 'every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm
with my prayers, cuz she worries about me so much. And in the Psalm, it
says, ' Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my life',
so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!'

Just a little bit longer....

IDIOT SIGHTING:

I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbour call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: "Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don't think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore."
From Kingston, Ont.

The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, "What on earth are blind people doing driving?!" She was a probation officer in Gatineau, QC

How Offensive!

I don't visit the Toronto Star site very often, but the comments illuminate the lefty lack of tolerance for opinions contrary to their thinking. Like this one:

Liberal funds dwindle after election rebates

LOOKS GOOD ON THEM !

The Liberals can no longer draw donations from their wealthy corporate friends and can no longer tax Canadians to death. At long last, we have blown them out of the waters. They deserve to be exactly where they are being the biggest losers in the last election and flat broke. I have no sympathy whatsoever for the lying, cheating Liberals.

So you can either agree, disagree, or label the post offensive.

Clearly because Marilyn does not agree with the Liberal point of view her comment is OFFENSIVE.

Then we have this one:

Bring back Adscam.

If the Liberals were in power, they could pay off this debt with just a couple of months worth of Adscam payments.

Again we have one vote for OFFENSIVE!

What does this show? It shows that the "progressive" lefties are only progressive if you agree with their point of view, if you don't, you are OFFENSIVE.

Reading the article it appears that the Liberals are in real money trouble.

In British Columbia, Liberal candidates in 11 ridings failed to meet the minimum 10-per-cent threshold to qualify for campaign expense reimbursements. No B.C. Liberal failed to qualify for reimbursements in the 2006 election.

In Alberta, Liberal candidates could not make the mark in 14 ridings this election, compared with nine in 2006.

Five Liberal candidates in Saskatchewan and another four in Manitoba could not garner enough support to get their reimbursements. One Liberal in Quebec and another in Nova Scotia, running against Independent MP Bill Casey, also received less than 10 per cent of the vote.

In B.C. and Alberta, most of the Liberals who failed to qualify for the reimbursements fell behind Green party candidates and finished fourth.

Yikes! 36 candidates received less than 10% of the votes, and were 4th behind the Greens? Remember, this is the "natural ruling party of Canada". HA!

What is OFFENSIVE, is that lefties think only their opinions are relevant and that no other opinion is valid.

What is OFFENSIVE is that lefties try to shut down freedom of speech, and the freedom to express your opinions in a free country.

What is OFFENSIVE is that Liberals think only they have "values". They think "values" equate to morals.

Do You Feel Guilty CTV?

Do You Feel Guilty Sir? This was what CTV talking head Dan Matheson asked the father of Brandon Crisp in an interview a few days ago. Now that we have heard that Brandon Crisp's body has been found, will Dan Matheson ask him the same question? Could a reporter be anymore insensitive to what this family was going through? Shame on CTV!

Do You Feel Guilty Sir? What a stupid question to ask the parent of a missing child. What was he trying to do, get a "got you" moment?

My heart goes out to the Crisp family. I have a fifteen year old boy who plays the same game, and as a parent, I have had to restrict video game time too. I thank God that my child is still with me safe for another day.

For Dan Matheson to accuse the father of being guilty for his son leaving is despicable. Can you imagine what the father feels knowing that the last time he ever saw his child, they were mad at each other?

Do You Feel Guilty Sir? will ring in Brandon's fathers ears forever, thanks to Dan Matheson and CTV. A story is obviously more important to CTV than real compassion for a father of a missing boy.

Do You Feel Guilty CTV?????

A Moment of Silence...

For the late great US of A!

Tomorrow, the reality sets in, not for Democrats, but for Republicans. Like the Liberal party in Canada, the Republicans in the US have forgotten what they stand for, and needed this kick in the butt to wake them up.

Thank goodness we have a "bully" for a PM, because Canada will need a strong leader to stop the protectionist Democrat's from running all over the NAFTA agreement. Our ace in the hole is oil. If they try to stop auto manufacturing in Ontario, we can slap them with reduced oil supplies.

What might be interesting is how oil companies react. If Obama raises taxes, imposes a cap and trade scheme, and stops drilling in America, will the oil companies relocate to Canada? If our taxes are lower, and we allow drilling, why wouldn't they? A businesses main goal is profit, if Obama makes that impossible in the US, what would stop not only oil companies but other companies from relocating? If they can relocate to India and China, why not here, in good old safe Canada?

I predict foreign investment in Canada to increase. If the NAFTA agreement gets reopened, it's a great time for us to renegotiate our position on oil and gas. Also, don't forget our fresh water supply, which is off limits in NAFTA. If the Arctic ice is melting, why not capture that fresh water before it hits the salty ocean and sell it to America? If we can have an oil pipeline, why not a fresh water pipeline direct to California? Heck, it would even stop the oceans from raising and destroying the planet as Al Gore predicts! I think I'm on to something here, now how do I patent it? HA!

In Amongst All The Negative...

We find some positive. I applaud those regular people who by their actions are now heroes.

Local woman honoured for saving drowning teen

If heroism is “holding on a minute longer,” then one Edmonton woman is truly a hero.

Those were the words of Lt.-Gov. Norman Kwong honouring seven recipients of Royal Canadian Humane Association merit medals for bravery, including local Krista Girvan.

The recently-graduated licensed practical nurse was cited for plucking a 16-year-old girl out of a raging North Saskatchewan river while others stood by and watched.....

Top honours of the day went to silver medal Calgarian Casey Peirce, who single-handedly pulled two canoers and their 600-pound vessel from the middle of an icy mountain lake this summer.

Peirce, 30, was on a bicycle ride with family around Spray Lakes near Canmore July 26, when the group heard two people in the water yelling for help.

They saw a man and woman about a kilometre from shore clinging to their overturned canoe and Peirce, who trains and runs triathlons, dove in for them.

She said it took 15 minutes to swim out to the couple, but at least 45 minutes to swim back with them in tow through water that was near freezing.

“I couldn’t put my face in the water for the first 100 feet,” she said, calling the water extremely cold.

“We knew that we were the last ones” that would be passing by the lake that night, she said, a thought that mixed with adrenaline to motivate her heroic effort.

It took “superhuman” effort, said the award presenter, to haul the two people, paralyzed by the cold and unable to paddle or kick to help, and their canoe, which was loaded with a outrigging gear, a boat motor, gas and a container stuffed with blankets and provisions.

I have always wondered what I would do in an emergency situation. Thank God I have not been tested like that yet, but I hope I would do the best I can, always. Kudos to those who have been tested and have found within themselves that spark that makes humanity wonderful and exceptional, the ability to care for someone in true need.

I Found The Real Obama!

Barack Kunta Kinte Walter Hussein McGillicuddy Lucifer Obama II (pronounced Bárockus Obomus) (born Baruch Seamus O'Bama to an Irish Catholic family in County Cork) is the young shiningly optimistic upstart United States Senator from Illinois that is currently out to shake up Washington and change the system and the world for a brighter and better tomorrow. In 2008, Obama became the first African American (his dad was from Africa and his dad's baby momma came from America) to be nominated by a major political party for president and not be lynched by an angry mob in white robes holding torches, so you know he's one of the good ones. By taking down the man, Barack will set the lower class working people free from economic oppression. Don't believe me? Well, don't take my word for it (jerk). In this article, we hope to show you solidly irrefutable and absolutely incontrovertible facts delineating why Barack Obama is your messiah, the one true God you've been waiting for since the dawn of time....unless you're considered financially wealthy by today's standards.

Okay, so maybe I didn't find the real Obama, but it's a change from the serious discussion on the US election. Warning, some of the language is not appropriate for young readers.

They also have a profile for McCain:

John Sidney McSame (1933 BC- still kicking) is an American senator, politician, living fossil, and will be the next President of the United States, with his Vice President, Bree Hodge. He is known as a maverick for his many marital infidelities. He fought in the Punic Wars (for Rome, against Carthage) and was allegedly subject to enhanced interrogation techniques for four years, thus becoming qualified to be President of the United States. Also, he graduated at the top of his class in the first graduating class of Electoral College. He will best be remembered by the public for his role as Mr. Wilson in Dennis the Menace, yelling at the young kids to get off his lawn.

It's Sunday night, most of us have to work tomorrow, so enjoy some light humour.
