Obama, Iggy Smart.

Canadians could have had an Obama smart Prime Minister if we would have only elected Iggy. We too could be losing friends daily. Like Israel.

“A lasting peace will involve two states for two peoples. The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed [land] swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.”

Does the guy understand what that would mean to Israel? The scary thing is that I think he understands clearly that Israel would not be able to defend itself, and that is what he wants. Palestine is not a nation, it is a refugee camp that none of the surrounding Arab nations want to have anything to do with. Israel is somehow the bad guy because during the war in 1967 they actually won and gained land, kind of like the US and Mexico. According to Obama, California should be given back to the Mexicans.

I am proud of Canada's firm stance with Israel. It cost us a seat at the UN security council, but I am shedding no tears about not getting the seat at that corrupt organization. Finally, Canada takes a principled stance in supporting a democratic nation, surrounded by enemies, thanks to PM Harper's leadership. After reading this article, I wonder how Irwin can remain a Liberal.

This past federal election was no different and one aspect of particular interest was the approach taken by the Liberals to once again try to falsify and demonize the record of Prime Minister Harper and the Conservative government on issues relating to Israel. This is especially important given recent events in which President Obama declared as U.S. policy a framework that is as pollyannish and dangerous as it is unworkable.
So offensive was the Liberal campaign tactic that I chose to reach out to correct the record by sending a letter to constituents in the riding where I was working for the local Conservative candidate.

This just highlights the sad state of the Liberal party and Democrats in the US.

Finally we can stand proudly with Israel and not have to apologize for our values. We can support a tiny nation that is under constant bombing from it's neighbours, who will not even acknowledge their right to exist. We do not have to follow what the US is doing, and we have staked out our position so that no country can doubt where we stand.

Shame on Obama for refusing to support Israel. He is making the US powerless, but maybe that is his goal.

What Has America Become?...........Crappy Times!

And to go with it, we have a very funny/depressing video.

Enjoy! America has some huge problems, and Obama was the wrong pick at the wrong time. Monetizing the US currency....printing money, in other words, is going to fail.

What India REALLY Thinks About Obama!

We seldom get other views of what is going on in the world today. So, here is the Indian view of Obama.

A Diwali weekend should be a perfect, if a bit noisy, break for a president in distress. President Barack Obama, battered at home, badly needs a break. The festive lights, however, might only expose a dubious policy as he winks at his wartime ally, Pakistan, with one face and smiles at his peacetime friend, India, with another.
They are not fooled by Obama. They actually feel like Canada, ignored and treated as suckers. Hey Obama, you are not GOD, you just think you are. Renting out a whole hotel, bringing over 40 cars, including the Beast, and building special overground tunnels is just a little over the top!

ARMS TO INDIA -- Since 2008, India has signed military deals worth $8.2 billion with the US
  • M-777 Ultralight Howitzers. Ten regiments of 145 guns worth $647 million
  • Ninety-nine F-414 engines worth $650 million for the Light Combat Aircraft
  • Twelve P-8I Poseidon long-range maritime patrol aircraft worth $3 billion
  • Six C-130J Hercules special forces transport aircraft worth $1 billion
  • Ten C-17 Globemaster-III heavylift aircraft for the IAFworth $3-billion
ARMS TO PAKISTAN -- In nine years,Pakistan received a discounted assistance of $3.2-billion
  • M-109 self-propelled howitzers. It has bought 115 guns worth $87 million
  • Eighteen new F-16s worth $ 1.4 billion and 14 old F-16s. Upgrade kits for 45 old PAF F-16s for $891 million.
  • Eight P3-C Orion maritime patrol aircraft for $474 million
  • Six C-130E transport aircraft and their refurbishment for $76 million
  • Missiles: 100 Harpoon anti-ship missiles worth $298 million and 5,250 TOW anti-tank missiles worth $186 million
What is happening is that Pakistan is getting free arms which they can then use against India, and as usual the Americans do not see the danger of their policies.

Read the whole article, it is worth getting a different prospective. Obama, bowing to all enemies, crapping on friends.

Political Junkie Looking For A Fix!

I watched the US elections and I was thrilled that the Republicans took back the House. Obama and the Democrats had free reign for two years and pushed through many distasteful policies. This will now be slowed, and Obama will have to co-operate or answer to the electorate in two years. This is a US version of our minority government. Republicans now own the House and committees while Obama has the veto and Democrats own the Senate. It could be gridlock.

Our minority Conservative government is still rolling along nicely here in Canada. PM Harper is perceived as the best leader, while the party itself languishes at 37%, the same numbers as last election. Nothing here has captured the imaginations of Canadians like the Tea Party has in the US.  I don't think Canadians need that kind of movement, but we do need some excitement in our politics. Five years of incompetent opposition and media yelling from the rooftops that the Conservatives are scary and have a "hidden" agenda is frankly, yawn provoking.

I want a reason to get excited about politics again. I want something to fire my Conservative roots. I'm a political junkie looking for a fix! I'm getting mushy policies and obviously politically motivated decisions like the Sask Potash no-go. I'm not hearing about how the Conservatives are going to shut down the Canadian Wheat Board anymore. I'm not hearing about dramatic changes to the Young Offenders Act, and I am certainly not hearing anything about the Human Rights Commissions being shut down. Basically, I'm not hearing anything Conservative out of the Conservatives anymore. They have become the "hidden" party. They are so busy hiding from anything controversial that they have all but disappeared. They need to find their backbone, and give some of us Conservatives something to get excited about, because right now, I'm hitting the snooze button everyday.

A Female Is Being Chased By Someone....

Which political leader would she run to for help? Harper, Ignatieff, Layton or Duceppe?

Duceppe, would yell at her to speak French.
Layton would ask if she needs welfare money.
Ignatieff would slowly look up from his book, and ask her if she understood the great fight between the Russians and Ukrainians.
Harper, would notice her problem, and stand in front of her to protect her.

That is why Canadians think he is the best politician to lead Canada:
OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper is convincing Canadian voters that he is the best politician to lead the country — particularly during tough economic times, results of a new poll suggest.
The nationwide survey by Ipsos Reid for Postmedia News and Global Television also found Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff is failing to attract much support from the public and, on many aspects of leadership, he falls behind both Harper and NDP leader Jack Layton in popularity.
As a female, if I was in trouble, PM Harper would be the guy to go to. Not just because he is physically bigger than the other leaders but because he gets things done. He does not back down from his positions, he is honourable and most important you can trust him.

Think about all those guys you dated, were you attracted to the metrosexuals with purses or the rednecks with guns? I was always independently minded and so I was more attracted to the guy who was confident enough to let me be who I was.

Feminists can't handle a real man. They like the creepy crawlers who sue people because their feelings are hurt. Conservative women aren't scared of real men, they embrace them as husbands and trust them to help raise their kids. Conservative women can raise a family, have a career and enjoy life with their strong males. Their husbands are life partners not just one night flings. Babies are cherished and loved, not butchered as inconvenient particles in a body.

I find Liberal/progressive women really irritating. They form committees to discuss how tragic their lives are and accomplish nothing. They refuse to support women in places like Afghanistan who are getting stoned and hung for minor offenses, yet they cry for Khadr, an admitted murderer, to come home to Canada. These women are delusional fools. They are weak and are only attracted to weak males. Thank goodness they think childbearing is beneath them.

If I was ever in danger and needed help from one of our leaders, I would pick PM Harper in a flash. The opposition can label him as a bully, but as a female, I see him as a strong individual who gets things done. I am proud of our Prime Minister. He stands up to foreign leaders, and does not bow down (like Obama) to dictators. He has morals and will not compromise them for votes, and that really ticks "progressives" off. They want him fawning all over them, media especially, and because he doesn't they do everything they can to discredit him. Canadians are not stupid, they understand that our PM is a fair, honest and reliable individual who is leading our country in the right direction. Keep up the good work PM Harper!

(This message is not paid for by anyone, or any political party) HA!

Because Of Illegal Immigrants...

Being a non-hyphenated Canadian, I get ticked off at immigrants who expect us to bend our rules to accommodate their culture. This can be worked out if everyone comes to the table with a love of Canada. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law, and should get no sympathy from Canadians, hyphenated or not. But this debate is getting carried to the next level in the US, and it is not pretty or fair to anyone anymore.

Tonight was a great indication of what is happening in the US. My husband was watching the Lakers game in Spanish! Seriously, he pointed it out to me, and I couldn't believe it, about five minutes later, the station fuzzed over, and then it came back in English. Was this done on purpose by the station, or was it just a broadcasting error?

What is apparent, is that progressives are pitting Americans against Americans, because of illegal immigrants. California is boycotting Arizona because of illegal immigrants, and Arizona is talking about California not getting power or water from them anymore, because of illegal immigrants. It reminds me of Quebec bashing Alberta for our oil sands and then grabbing the equalization money in their grubby hands, still yelling about how they deserve more for doing nothing.

The progressives tell us that the Arizona law will lead to racial profiling. The Arizona law clearly states that can't happen, it is modeled from the federal law, so why the outrage against this bill? Obama bashing his own people to China and Mexico, is a perfect representation of progressives. They really don't like America.

So how do Americans feel about the new law?
An Arizona utilities official is threatening to switch off the electricity the state sends to Los Angeles in response to the city council's vote to boycott the state in protest of its new illegal immigration law. Do you agree with the fight-boycott-with-boycott response?

Maybe the progressives need to go back to the basement and rethink their plan.

And Obama Bows On..

This is the religion of peace. That is what we have been told, and that is what we are to believe.

What's with the whacking someone over the head with a sword? Notice the kids who are old enough to understand it, reject it. Fanatics. Sickos.

Why did the world not respond, when Iran erupted? We could have saved them.

Now Iran will not allow inspectors into it's country. Nuclear weapons in the hands of a tyrant, a recipe for disaster. And Obama bows on.

Copenhagen is all the rage. Even though the science has been corrupted, they still want the money to keep flowing. They are willing to divert money from education and health care on a false premise. Forget about Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Lefties, can't see the truth right in front of their eyes. They are suicidal. They hate the freedom of the west so much that they want to destroy it. They march with Hezbollah, a terrorist organization.

However, the Montreal event has been described as being anti-Israeli in tone, with Hezbollah flags on display, and some demonstrators chanting support for the organization, which calls for the destruction of Israel and is banned by the Canadian government.

Politicians attending the Montreal rally included Liberal MP Denis Coderre, who represents a downtown Montreal riding and is a supporter of Liberal leadership contender Michael Ignatieff, as well as Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe and Parti Quebecois leader Andre Boisclair.

Progressives, they think they will be the leaders in a new world. They want the UN to rule everyone. They think they will be exempt from the coming fury. They are wrong. And Obama bows on.

Community Organizer College

Take a Sunday break, and watch this video.

Too funny, unfortunately too true. Where is Barack leading Americans. I am really worried about the direction he is going, because it impacts Canada. PM Harper needs to get signing more free trade agreements because the US is in trouble and they might take us down with them.

Robin Hood Rides Again!

When I was little, I loved the idea of Robin Hood, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. Back in the day, he would have been a hero because the poor were truly oppressed and mistreated by the rich. It was a feel good fairy tale, it still is, but Obama seems to think it's a good idea for the US.

WASHINGTON -- House Democrats scrambling for ways to pay for overhauling health care would raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans to levels not seen since the 1980s, breaking one of President Barack Obama's campaign pledges.

....The plan would honor Obama's campaign promise not to raise taxes on families making less than $250,000. But it would break an Obama pledge that no one -- including the wealthy -- would pay higher taxes than they did in the 1990s. The pledge, as listed on Obama's campaign Web site, was: "No family will pay higher tax rates than they would have paid in the 1990s."

Democrats argue that high-income families fared well under President George W. Bush's two terms as their taxes dropped and their incomes soared, giving them the ability to absorb higher taxes. Republicans argue that the tax increases would hurt small business owners who typically pay their business taxes on their individual returns.

Rep. Charles Rangel, chairman of tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, called the plan "the moral thing to do."

"This innovative bill provides a uniquely American solution to control costs and put patients first without burdening future generations with debt," the New York Democrat said.

Legally steal from the rich to give to the poor. Make the rich pay for the increased costs of the health system. This works because the poor are envious, and feel entitled to their entitlements. Can you say you have not felt envious when you see someone driving a Lexus? How about driving through an upper class neighbourhood and seeing those huge houses with pools and tennis courts? Don't you feel jealous? Don't you want to be those people, live in their houses and not have to worry about money anymore? Have you ever bought a lottery ticket hoping to win those millions? We have all done that at one time or other.

The problem is that you need to work for those "things". No-one has the "right" to a house, or a job. You want to earn $350,000 a year, get an education and work for it. You want "free" health care, be prepared to pay extra taxes. The problem is that taking from the rich is not "the moral thing to do". What is moral about taking from the people who are productive and giving it to the non-productive. We have heard about the brain drain, this is going to cause a tax drain. Those with money are going to hide it off shore, and/or move to greener pastures.

Currently, the top marginal income tax rate is 35 percent. Obama wants to let some tax cuts enacted under Bush expire, boosting the top rate to 39.6 percent in 2011. The new health care taxes would increase the top rate to 45 percent.

House Republican leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, called the bill a job killer that would result in rationed care, fewer choices for patients and diminished quality.

Think about paying 45% in marginal income tax, then add in all the other taxes like property taxes. The poor can not move, the rich can and they will. Socialism tries to make all people suffer equally. It is based on envy and greed. Socialism punishes achievers, and the independently minded people who have ideas and start companies. Unions are a prime example. They want to take from the rich corporations and give to themselves. Socialism kills societies.

Robin Hood, in this day and age, would not be a hero, he would be a manipulator who whats you to think that everyone has the right to take what was never yours.

A Salute To Our Veterans!

I think about all those 19 and 20 year old's, who left their farms and families to fight for Canada, in a war where Canada had not been invaded. Our reputation from WWI was that of fierce fighters and it carried through into WWII.

I was pleasantly surprised when I asked my oldest son today if he knew what D-Day was about. He knew about Juno and that Canadian soldiers were feared by the Germans for their superior fighting skills. I told him how impressed I was that they had studied it in school. He quickly corrected my misconception, it was the internet he had gotten his information from, not the school. He has been busy studying globalization in school, not history. On his own, he has researched our military history. Good for him! Shame on our schools. History is important and getting the perspective of people from 65 years ago is very interesting. Here is a radio report from way back in time.

A very quick summary of Canada at war will give you an idea of the valour of our troops.

The Canadians had to fight every step of the way to Caen and Carpiquet airfield. At one point they faced the elite 12 S.S. panzer division manned by young German fanatics commanded by experienced officers and non commissioned troops. But the Canadians Triumphed and on July 10th, Caen was liberated by Canadian and British forces.

They are not teaching this in school, even when I was in school years ago, our proud history as a fighting nation was not taught, luckily I enjoyed reading and a book (can't remember which one now) about the Battle of The Bulge and the Diary of Anne Frank, woke me up to the fact that socialism was a threat to freedom.

Much as I dislike CTV, today they provided really good coverage of the D-day ceremonies. I suspect that they were forced to because they wanted to cover Obama, and it just happened that PM Harper was there as well. Go and listen to both PM Harpers speech and President Obamas speech (On the right side you can select the videos).

Both speeches were very good, I noticed that PM Harper actually spoke from his heart. You know that he genuinely supports our troops and understands that we must stand strong as a nation against any terrorist threats.

President Obama, a noted orator, was speaking the words, but his delivery was flat. He read the speech that someone else wrote but there was no passion, no conviction, no fire.

I want to thank our veterans for keeping Canada safe. What an incredible job our troops do. Maybe Canada has never suffered from a terrorist attack because they know we are warriors at heart, and that we will never back down from a fight we believe in. That is why I get so upset about the NDP and the Bloc, they weaken our country by their sickening passivity. The Liberals only support something they think will gain them votes, that might be even worse than being pacifists.

To our troops from yesterday and those fighting today....THANK YOU.

It Is Surreal, Is He Really The President?

I still can't get used to the fact that Harper, even after 1200 days in office, is our Prime Minister. He has been leading Canada despite the fact that he only has a minority government. Daily, the lefties fight sound legislation like raising the age of consent from 14 to 16. Thankfully that law passed, even my 16 year old knew about it. Many law and order bills are stalled in parliament because the lefties think the criminal is more important than the victim, like Tori. Canadians are watching and Conservatives need to remind voters that it is only the Conservatives who for years have supported tougher laws against criminals.

What is surreal, is that Obama really is the actual President of the USA. Every time I see him, I think "pretender". The guy is a used car salesman,(sorry to all used car salesmen) an empty suit. He is a dangerous empty suit, with an agenda. Socialism.

Fears Grow Over U.S. Losing Triple-A Credit Rating
Some financial experts think ballooning deficits and a surge in spending are putting the U.S. at risk of losing its triple-A credit rating.

On Friday, the dollar dropped to its lowest level this year and was on track for its biggest weekly fall in two months on concerns about the country's rating status, despite an assurance from Moody's on Thursday that it was comfortable with the current rating on the U.S., which has held a triple-A rating since 1917.

To ease concerns, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said he doesn't believe the U.S. credit rating will be cut.

President Obama likes to say he inherited a financial mess, an argument that is supported by the $1.3 trillion deficit left on his lap by the previous administration. But under his watch, Obama has pushed the estimate for this year's deficit to a record $1.8 trillion, partly as a result of his $787 billion stimulus package. The deficit is equal to about 13 percent of the nation's gross domestic product.

They are busy printing money, this will lead to inflation. Our dollar rose to .89 because of the weakness of the US dollar. Obama does not understand or care about the impact this will have on the US. He is too busy partying in the White House, and closing Gitmo to pay back his hard left supporters to care about the damage he is doing to his country.

What a mistake the US made. McCain might not have been the ideal candidate, but he would have been better than Obama.

Our next election, the Obama factor will work in the Conservatives favour, he will be the new Jimmy Carter, and Canadians will have woken up to the fact that socialism is a bad idea.

Short post because I am really, really tired from all the planting I did today. I will just creak my way upstairs to bed now.

A Moment of Silence...

For the late great US of A!

Tomorrow, the reality sets in, not for Democrats, but for Republicans. Like the Liberal party in Canada, the Republicans in the US have forgotten what they stand for, and needed this kick in the butt to wake them up.

Thank goodness we have a "bully" for a PM, because Canada will need a strong leader to stop the protectionist Democrat's from running all over the NAFTA agreement. Our ace in the hole is oil. If they try to stop auto manufacturing in Ontario, we can slap them with reduced oil supplies.

What might be interesting is how oil companies react. If Obama raises taxes, imposes a cap and trade scheme, and stops drilling in America, will the oil companies relocate to Canada? If our taxes are lower, and we allow drilling, why wouldn't they? A businesses main goal is profit, if Obama makes that impossible in the US, what would stop not only oil companies but other companies from relocating? If they can relocate to India and China, why not here, in good old safe Canada?

I predict foreign investment in Canada to increase. If the NAFTA agreement gets reopened, it's a great time for us to renegotiate our position on oil and gas. Also, don't forget our fresh water supply, which is off limits in NAFTA. If the Arctic ice is melting, why not capture that fresh water before it hits the salty ocean and sell it to America? If we can have an oil pipeline, why not a fresh water pipeline direct to California? Heck, it would even stop the oceans from raising and destroying the planet as Al Gore predicts! I think I'm on to something here, now how do I patent it? HA!

I Found The Real Obama!

Barack Kunta Kinte Walter Hussein McGillicuddy Lucifer Obama II (pronounced Bárockus Obomus) (born Baruch Seamus O'Bama to an Irish Catholic family in County Cork) is the young shiningly optimistic upstart United States Senator from Illinois that is currently out to shake up Washington and change the system and the world for a brighter and better tomorrow. In 2008, Obama became the first African American (his dad was from Africa and his dad's baby momma came from America) to be nominated by a major political party for president and not be lynched by an angry mob in white robes holding torches, so you know he's one of the good ones. By taking down the man, Barack will set the lower class working people free from economic oppression. Don't believe me? Well, don't take my word for it (jerk). In this article, we hope to show you solidly irrefutable and absolutely incontrovertible facts delineating why Barack Obama is your messiah, the one true God you've been waiting for since the dawn of time....unless you're considered financially wealthy by today's standards.

Okay, so maybe I didn't find the real Obama, but it's a change from the serious discussion on the US election. Warning, some of the language is not appropriate for young readers.

They also have a profile for McCain:

John Sidney McSame (1933 BC- still kicking) is an American senator, politician, living fossil, and will be the next President of the United States, with his Vice President, Bree Hodge. He is known as a maverick for his many marital infidelities. He fought in the Punic Wars (for Rome, against Carthage) and was allegedly subject to enhanced interrogation techniques for four years, thus becoming qualified to be President of the United States. Also, he graduated at the top of his class in the first graduating class of Electoral College. He will best be remembered by the public for his role as Mr. Wilson in Dennis the Menace, yelling at the young kids to get off his lawn.

It's Sunday night, most of us have to work tomorrow, so enjoy some light humour.
