Build That Pipeline, Save Money!

Environmentalists (university students with NO job experience) want us to embrace solar and wind as environment friendly alternatives to oil, gas and coal. They spew on and on about massive green jobs. So how is that going?

Solar Firm That Received $1.2 Billion Federal Loan Plagued by Financial Problems

The Energy Department says on its website that the $1.2 billion loan to help build the California Valley Solar Ranch in San Luis Obispo County, a project that will help create 15 permanent jobs, which adds up to the equivalent of $80 million in taxpayer money for each job.

But the Energy Department stands by the project.

“This project underwent many months of rigorous technical, financial and legal due diligence by career employees in the DOE loan program,” Energy spokesman Damien LaVera said in a statement to FoxNews.com. “It was approved for one reason only: because it meets all the requirements of the program – helping America win the clean energy race and create entire new industries for American workers.”

Even with 1.2 Billion the firm is in trouble and they were only going to create 15 permanent jobs? I would love to get me some of that action, as would Gore and Strong. Stop listening to the uneducated kids of the environment, who do not understand the meaning of a real job, start listening to the people who have to pay the energy bills.

 

As far as the Keystone pipeline goes, forget about those bird choppers and solar panels, that create no jobs, and build that pipeline, in the short run, you will employ many people in areas that desperately need employment, and in the long run, you will save money on energy.

When you give kids money, they always go to the nearest corner store and spend it on candy and pop, then they complain of a bellyache. Does anyone wonder why all the "clean energy" companies are going bankrupt? Do any of you know anyone who owns a "smart car" or even a "hybrid"? 

The wolves like Gore and Strong have been exposed. The sheep have not yet realized that they were duped, they are too busy protesting Wall Street now that their "global warming" scam has failed.

Funny how lefties always have a cause to protest, while the rest of us are busy actually working at jobs in the private sector, supporting them. 

If the Americans chicken out of the Keystone project because of the Ecochildren, Canada has another huge buyer of our oil, and it's name is China, with India a close second. How would we get it there? Look at this:

So far the usual activists are protesting both pipelines, but I predict that both pipelines will be built, and eastern Canada will benefit just like they do now. 

Build those pipelines and save money. If the environmentalists are so concerned about Mother Earth, I have a garden that needs to be rototilled!

Boycott Green Money Suckers.

Are you as sick and tired as I am of all the bogus "green" companies? TD offers a "green" mortgage. Everywhere you go, it's all about "green". These corporations are sucking extra cash out of you with every "green" initiative they expound.

We are witnessing the final death throes of the enviro-weenie movement. Expect green subsidies to go the way of the dodo bird. In tough economic times politicians keen on remaining employed will have to heed the electorates' desire to cut all the fluff policies which only exist because of optics. This includes hidden environmental taxes by corporations who have jumped on the bandwagon of the feel good platitudes of having an "environmental stewardship" policy in their mission statements, passing along these extra costs onto their customers. GE is promoting light bulbs with mercury that cost 10 times what conventional light bulbs do, and the politicians are supporting them. This shows you how powerful lobby groups can be. The NDP is full of union supporters, which is fine, as long as those unions are not allowed to use union fees to promote a political party. Unions fees are mandatory, they are not a choice. Funny how lefties want choice in abortion, but refuse to allow that same choice in paying union fees.  Hypocrites in the extreme.

I want REAL pollution of our air, lakes and land to be addressed by our politicians. I do not ever want to send REAL dollars to FAKE environmental causes. Mo Strong started this mess, and made millions, so did Suzuki and Gore. Evil lurks in power hunger people. They do not care about us, they care about their causes only as long as those causes are making them money.

What has really upset the elites is that PM Harper owes none of them any favours. He is his own man and the Conservative party was build by the little people, us voters, NOT the elites. I hope he remembers that now that he has a majority.

Corporations are using being "green" as a marketing ploy to increase their profits by charging us more. It's time for us to show them we will not be hoodwinked by their slick ads. It's time to boycott the phony "green" agenda of corporations. They suck money out of us every time we buy their products, just because they are supposedly "green".  Don't buy it, and tell them why you will not buy their products anymore.

Green Prisons! A Match Made In Heaven.

Greens want utopia, prisoners want a new start in life, blend the two together and you get green prisons! It's an idea everyone can love. Here's how it works:

You take a bunch of greenies protesting the oil sands and a bunch of criminals protesting their unfair treatment in prisons and combine the two. You set them down in the NWT with solar panels, wind turbines, and enough materials to build shelter. It's a win win situation. The greenies can build their perfect non-oil utopia while helping reform criminals, who just need more hugs.

Think about it. Environmentalists keep telling us that the end is near if we don't change our habits, but they are they biggest users of oil products out there (plane travel to Mexico anyone, massive houses for Gore and Suzuki). If they were really serious they would set up a prototype village using only renewable energy sources. This has not been done to my knowledge. They seem to be too happy in their university dorms to actually live the life they want to impose on us.

If they are to be believed then they should lead by example. Given that our world has a fever (Gore), they should set up operations in the Arctic, to show us how to grow vegetables using wind and solar power. They should also abide by the hundred mile rule to live. If we incorporate a prison into the mix, they can train the prisoners in the set up and maintenance of green energy, so they will have a skill when they return to society. Of course if the prisoners forget to take care of the bird choppers, a prison break is very likely. In the newly warmed world, the prisoners would stand a very great chance of surviving the melting Arctic.

If I must fund environmentalists with my tax dollar, I demand that they prove that non-renewable energy is possible in Canada, in the winter. Build a model village using only renewable wind and solar, fill it with criminals and make it work. Why haven't the greenies done this yet? They have been yelping for more than 20 years, but have accomplished nothing.

Climate Loonies Baying At The Moon....

When it is the sun that really matters! Why are all these climate conferences in warm climates for two weeks? Could it be that eco-nuts are living the high life while telling us lowly taxpayers we need to accept higher energy bills to save the planet (it's the only one we have, don't you know!)? Does Suzuki really have two houses (and 5 kids), and can anyone count how many houses Al Gore has? Did all those fake environmentalists swim to Mexico, or did they fly? The only ice that is melting is in their exotic drinks at the beach!

I don't see much chance of anything important coming out of Cancun either. How can it, when the world is in financial turmoil and the lefties at Cancun want us to transfer massive amounts of money to dictators, all in the name of......WHAT?

Mr. Runge-Metzger warned: “If we are not able to do that, then we would really have to reconsider if this process is a process that can address this very important question for humanity in this century.”
The EU looked to China and the United States -- the world’s No. 1 and 2 carbon emitters -- as well as India to make “firm commitments to do their fair share of reducing global emissions,” he said.

So their reputations are on the line, wow that makes me want to see my tax dollars go to Africa so the despots can increase their Swiss bank accounts, while keeping their subjects in poverty. Leftism really is a mental disease if they think CO2 emissions are going to be reduced by a money transfer. 

The European Union’s chief negotiator, Artur Runge-Metzger, said there was “no guarantee” the talks under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) would follow this new, pragmatic, incremental path.

Anyone else notice that just like they changed "global warming" to "climate change" they have now also change the discredited "IPCC" to the "UNFCCC"? 

Face it, the eco-nuts are going on a two week vacation to Cancun Mexico on donors and taxpayers dimes, all the time howling about Mother Earth and the damage us peons are doing to it. When I see them paddling a canoe to get to the next conference in January at Churchill Manitoba, celebrating the lack of ice in Hudson's Bay, I might listen to them. Until then, shove your elitist eco-terrorism where the sun don't shine. Speaking of the sun, how can it be 20 below and the sun is still causing ice to melt? Maybe one of you eco-nuts, basking in the Mexican sun watching your ice melt in your drink, can get some taxpayer funding to study the problem.

Look Up, Way Up Into The Galaxy!

I did a Youtube search today to see what CO2 documentaries, other than Al Gore's garbage film, were out there. What have the climate scientists put up to show that the evidence is in, the debate is over, and global warming is indeed a fact. Here is a screen capture of the results:



Now if CO2 is the big bad cause of climate change, why do only documentaries that tend to disprove global warming show up as the first sites? Try it yourself, no documentary proving CO2 is a problem show up. Greenies appear to be relying on Al Gore's Hollywood production. They don't even attempt to present real facts to real people, you see, we are only the pockets to be picked, so they do not have to convince us of anything, only our governments.

I want to thank PM Harper and Minister Prentice for their adult approach to this issue. You stood proud and the majority of Canadians stood proudly with you. I enjoyed every fossil award we received...after all, that Alberta oil is because of all those fossils decomposing into black gold!

Now that the eco-nuts have frozen their nuts off, it's time to get serious. Environment Canada needs to be checked into to make sure they have not fudged our temperature readings. Next we need to call for an independent review of the Climategate scientists and we need to demand their data so that scientists can start recreating the real story about temperatures. I suggest 10 or more independent teams from around the world, who have NO contact with each other, and the UN IPCC should be shut down, it's a political organization that has nothing to do with science. If climate scientists do not agree with this, they are not real scientists. Real scientists form the hypothesis and then test it. They do not fake results to support a hypothesis. They do not suppress other theories that might disprove their point of view just because they are getting huge grants to support one point of view.

A perfect example of the climate scientists blocking other scientists who have a different theory is this video. It is worth watching and much more believable than anything I have seem from the global warming scientists. The Cloud mystery:













These are REAL scientists, not Al Gore, the politician or Suzuki, the bug guy. I hope you watched all of the video, because it's not flashy like Gore's made in Hollywood movie, but the science is easy to understand and testable. Same can't be said of the CO2 guys. Show me the proof you CO2 guys.

Look up, into the sky, do you see that big yellow ball that warms our earth? Could it maybe have something to do with our climate?

Canada Gets A Black Eye....

Inconvenient truth for Al Gore as his North Pole sums don't add up

There are many kinds of truth. Al Gore was poleaxed by an inconvenient one yesterday.

The former US Vice-President, who became an unlikely figurehead for the green movement after narrating the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, became entangled in a new climate change “spin” row.

Mr Gore, speaking at the Copenhagen climate change summit, stated the latest research showed that the Arctic could be completely ice-free in five years.

In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”

However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast.

“It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.”

Mr Gore’s office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a “ballpark figure” several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore.

The embarrassing error cast another shadow over the conference after the controversy over the hacked e-mails from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, which appeared to suggest that scientists had manipulated data to strengthen their argument that human activities were causing global warming.

Do you see those wind chill warnings? Edmonton was the second coldest place ON THE PLANET...and I am supposed to buy into global warming? Not happening. The inconvenient truth is that Al Gore stands to make BILLIONS from the global warming scandal, just like the Oil for Food UN sponsored disaster. Just like global warming is a UN sponsored initiative. Anyone see a pattern happening here?

The UN is as corrupt and useless as global warming proponents. Al Gore and the bug guy are liars, plain and simple. Time to disband the UN, they are the useless nation.

Canada should stand proud, those of us freezing our butts off, know that climate changes, we are just hoping it's soon

A Dog Day Of Spring!

I swear if I ever met Gore or Suzuki in person, I would pop them one right on their nose. I am so sick of these fake environmentalists, my teeth are clenched as I type.

I have been nursing my little plants since February (28 trays), it is time for them to be outside but NO they are still indoors staying warm, because it is going to SNOW this week! Here they are waiting to be planted:



The weather didn't stop us from planting our garden, Rigger was not very happy that he was not allowed to help us! Poor boy.



I was really tired yesterday and didn't want to get the garden in, but hubby pushed me to get it done. Thank goodness he did because it rained today and even if it snows, it will just be extra moisture for the garden.




Notice the four rain barrels in the picture, and the two composters, take that Suzuki/Gore, I walk the walk and get no money for doing it. Where are your rain barrels/composters?? Oh, you are only interested in carbon credits in a company you own? Talk about giving real environmentalists a bad name, by his name alone, we can understand Gores nature. Okay the lawn needs work, but notice no dandelions. In a few weeks everything will be fixed, without chemicals!

I want to see Ellie May's garden. She's the leader of the Greens isn't she? So, how green are the Greens? Let's see your gardens, let's see you out there starting community gardens, and leading the way, without government money. HA! Thought so.

Gore Or Carlin, Who Do You Believe?

The day was way to beautiful to be inside worrying about politics, so I want to continue that feeling with some lighthearted commentary on global warming or the lack there of.

Al Gore talks about green jobs and how they are in everyone's communities these days, and they are high paying (for him)!

Green jobs! Who knew that the illegal Mexican immigrants were on to something all those years ago when they crawled over the border to become janitors, gardeners, and fruit and vegetable pickers? Those are all green jobs, the only problem is that they are not all that high paying.

George Carlin has something to say about global warming, (language warning)!



Global warming is a huge lefty scam to take money from the poor and give it to the rich, like Al Gore. In Canada, the Liberals just voted to keep all their options open, like a carbon tax AND cap and trade! Can we just get back to fighting REAL pollution?

The thing that strikes me most, is that the so called environmentalists protest in places like Bali (who pays for that trip?), and I bet not a single one of them has ever been in a field picking vegetables so they can feed their families.

The Dark Hour!

Well another earth hour has come and gone, all was typical on my street, except for the one NDP family sitting in the dark. Funny how they have three vehicles and a bob cat for snow removal, but think one dark hour forgives all excesses.

We are supposed to feel guilty for living a comfortable modern life. As a collector of antiques, I enjoy the old way, but do not want to return to it any time soon. From what we are hearing, our days are numbered because we are not respecting Mother Earth. Here is an example:

Toward the end of the period for these upheavals to take place, the earth will shift its poles causing the Polar caps of the Arctic and Antarctica to begin melting. When this occurs there will be major rising of the ocean levels that some estimate to be several hundred feet. A large part of coastal land masses world wide will be flooded and there will be an exodus of people to higher ground. The melting won't occur overnight, however, your beachside condo will become worthless overnight. Some of those areas that enjoy the bliss of tropical weather will find themselves living in the new Arctic polar regions, and those living in colder regions will need to buy beach chairs and sun tan oil.

One of the signs of the entry into this period, is the movement in land masses in the Pacific Ocean area, simultaneously with similar activity in the Mediterranean Sea and Mt. Etna in Sicily. This will mark the beginning of the earth changes on a grand scale.

California and the Baja Peninsula will disappear during a series of intense earthquakes. San Francisco, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara will be only a few of notable cities that will not exist afterwards. The Pacific Ocean will cover the western part of the US up to Arizona and Nebraska. Both will have ocean harbors towns.

Typical environmental chatter, right? HA! It sure sounds like it to me, but it's even more scary when you consider the source of those predictions, and it might sound like Al Gore, but it's not. This guy isn't even an environmentalist, but I think environmentalists have been reading up on him. No, he is not Nostradamus, but they are like minded, and they do not contradict each other.

The dark hour, is a good precursor to what will come. Do not assume that the eco-nuts will be happy with just one hour for long, they will demand more, and more, and more, as the unsatisfied can never be fulfilled. The dissatisfied always need a cause to rally around because they have no ability to create anything or to help themselves. They do not want to help themselves, they want the government to rescue them from themselves.

So, who was the person talking about ocean levels rising as much as 100 feet? Watch this:



Edgar Cayce, "The Sleeping Prophet", is no less an expert then Al Gore, he just has a much more successful prediction rate, his is over 95%, Al Gore's, not so much.
Now, I am not saying I believe this guy anymore than I believe Suzuki, but if we are to believe what Suzuki says, why not this guy? He was 99% accurate in his predictions, he has a whole library of his readings, and he predicted what is happening today way back in the 1940's, not today like Gore.

If we are to believe the greenies about global warming without any evidence that it is happening, why not this guy?

The dark hour is nothing more than an opportunity for the eco-nuts to feel like they have some power.

Way back in the day, acid rain was eating up the ozone layer at astonishing rates. The people were panicked, and the sun was about to fry us.

Scott Bundgaard used to believe that chlorofluorocarbons--most commonly known by the trade name Freon--were depleting the Earth's ozone layer and increasing dangerous ultraviolet radiation. He'd nag his sister for using aerosol hair spray.

Then he was elected to the legislature, where he and his colleagues on the House Environment Committee considered a measure that called for Arizona to ignore federal law and an international treaty and allow the manufacture of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) after January 1, 1996, when an international ban goes into effect.

Freon advocates offered both pragmatic and ideological justifications for the law. The ban would force Arizonans to pay for new air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, or swelter without it, they claimed. And, perhaps more important, the legislation offered yet another great way for Arizona to tell the feds--and, for that matter, the world--to buzz off.

Then, there was the small matter of science.
The House Environment Committee was told that the scientific theory behind the hole in the ozone is a hoax, manufactured by NASA scientists who want money to conduct research. The ozone crisis was also being advanced by big companies that stand to make billions by selling replacements for the banned CFCs, the committee was told.

In a story he wrote for the Washington Post in 1993, veteran science writer Boyce Rensberger observed that while ozone depletion from CFCs is real, the final link has yet to be demonstrated. Ozone-hole theorists criticized the piece, which perturbed Rensberger. "My story said that the threat of ozone depletion has been exaggerated, not that it wasn't happening," he says. "That the health hazards and the environmental hazards have increased ultraviolet radiation have not been demonstrated yet--that remains true."

Not that there haven't been attempts to codify the link.
In his 1992 book, Earth in the Balance, now-Vice President Al Gore says higher UV-B radiation resulting from ozone depletion has blinded rabbits, salmon and sheep. This was never proved scientifically.

Funny way back in 1995, Al Gore was spouting nonsense, he still thinks DDT is dangerous because some idiot wrote a book about birds eggs softening, and this one book led to the death of millions of people to malaria. This says it all about the environmental movement:

And last year, there was debate over a decline in the world's frog population, possibly because of ozone depletion. It was later revealed the scientist conducting the study knew nothing about the ozone layer, but leapt to conclusions in trying to link ozone levels, radiation and bad frog eggs. The frogs suffered from a fungus, which was at least partially responsible for the high death rate.

It's a long article, going back in time, but read it, the eco-nuts are using the exact same arguments now, as they did 13 years ago.

So, how is the ozone hole doing?

US government scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) say this year's ozone hole reached its maximum level on September 12, extending to 10.5m sq miles and four miles deep. That is bigger than 2007 but smaller than 2006, when the hole covered over 11.4m sq miles.

Scientists blamed colder-than-average temperatures in the stratosphere for the ozone hole's unusually large size this year. "Weather is the most important factor in the fluctuation of the size of the ozone hole from year to year," said Bryan Johnson, a scientist at NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, which monitors ozone, ozone-depleting chemicals, and greenhouse gases around the globe. "How cold the stratosphere is and what the winds do determine how powerfully the chemicals can perform their dirty work."

Yikes they blamed COLDER than average temperatures....hold it, what happened to global warming???
