He Packs A Huge Punch.

Teddy bear Kenny, strikes again! He is so harmless looking, but he packs a huge punch. He is doing more to clean up the immigration file than any immigration Minister ever. Keep up the good work.

By targeting younger and more language-proficient immigrants, a “transformational” package of immigration reforms promises to end the “vicious circle of unemployment” for newcomers, says Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney.
“For too long the story of immigration to Canada has been summed up by the frustration of the highly trained professional who arrived with the expectation of being able to work at his or her skill level,” he said, addressing the Canadian Club of Toronto on Monday.
“We’re going to stop this practice of inviting highly trained people to come to Canada if they don’t have jobs or they’re not likely to succeed in the labour market.”
Alberta is crying for skilled labour. It's time for companies to help determine who is qualified, not the government. Maybe all those skilled machinists who were just protesting at the airport, might want to look westward. We don't bite, but we do hunt, with gasp.....GUNS.

Be forewarned, something in the air in Alberta causes lefties to grow up and realize the error of their ways. It might be the smell of freedom to achieve what you want with no limits, or it might be the feeling of knowing that your good hard work is keeping the country going. It's an attitude, and anyone can succeed, with a little work.

Alberta would much prefer to hire skilled Canadians rather than foreign workers. If Canadians are not willing to relocate, we will have no option. So put down those protest signs, grab your family and head west.

Jason Kenny is on the right track.

Among the changes proposed: adjusting the points system for Federal Skilled Workers; focusing on skilled tradespeople; and boosting the minimum amount required for investor immigrants, which stands at $800,000. Canada needs to get the “biggest bang for its buck” in attracting investor-immigrants, said Mr. Kenney.
Once the changes take effect, all applicants to the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) will undergo pre-assessment of their credentials to ensure they are a good fit for the Canadian market.
Language proficiency will take precedence. “The number one factor for success in immigrants is language proficiency. No point in bringing folks here if they don’t have language proficiency,” said Mr. Kenney.
The points system is being changed to allow a skilled labourer, such as a welder, to enter the country with less English or French than a regulated professional, such as a doctor or veterinarian.
Welders, machinists, electricians, just about any trade you can think of are needed in Alberta and Saskatchewan. It's nice to see that government policies are going to reflect that need. Immigration is not about votes like the Liberals made it, it's about bringing skilled people into Canada to help build this country.

We Pay, They Use!

My oldest son is at NAIT now, and is already talking about jobs in the US. I will be sad for him to leave us, but if that is where the job opportunities are, good luck to him, and we will VISIT him as often as we can, but we don't want to immigrate to the US to stay near him. The US should not let us in just because he is working there either. So, why does Canada?

The Liberals created a great vote getting scheme by instituting the "family reunification" project. What we got was that one productive member was able to bring over their whole family, including grandpa and grandma, who will not contribute by working, will not learn the language, and WILL use our overloaded health system, that they have never contributed to. They have doctors, my family does not. We pay, they use.

It appears that our current government has figured this out, and are about to stop this practice.

Only about 20 per cent of immigrants to Canada are primary economic immigrants, he said, while the remaining applicants are their spouses and sponsored family members.
“To those who think we can solve that problem through immigration alone are profoundly mistaken,” Kenney told the committee.
Kenney said the Conservative government isn’t opposed to family reunification, but said there must be limits.
“We have to calibrate those limits based on our country’s economic needs, our fiscal capacity,” he said. “There is no doubt that the people who are coming who are senior citizens, they have much, much lower labour market participation and much higher level of utilization of the public health system.”

You have to love Jason Kenney, he's not afraid to tell it like it really is.  Keep up the great work Jason!

Unless the country they live in is at war, grandpa and grandma are probably happier staying put in their own homes than being transplanted to a new land that doesn't speak their language. They are like lost little puppies, that need lots of care, but turn around and shit on your carpet.

My son can move anywhere he wants for work, but don't expect us to follow. I can see the crocodile tears of the left pouring down their faces as they shout for ma and pa to be able to suck off the taxpayer teat.

You Have To Love Kenney!

Amnesty International has become a far left organization that sees anything Conservative as a threat to their mission of world domination. They are a joke. They are about as believable as Greenpeace, who are neither green or peaceful.

The ninnies are trying to get President Bush declared a "war criminal". What idiots. Add all their IQ's together and you might get to 118, but that is debatable.

"When I joined AI (Amnesty International) in high school, it was to defend the rights of political dissidents like Andrei Sakharov and to oppose brutal regimes, including those still doing bloody business in Iran and North Korea," Kenny wrote. "I am disappointed to learn you are now squandering the moral authority accrued in those campaigns on targeting one of the most generous immigration systems in the world, and protesting the actions of Canadian public servants applying rules and laws that far exceed our international obligations."

Candice Malcolm, spokeswoman for Kenney, told QMI Agency Thursday, "I note that Amnesty International did not seek a court order barring Fidel Castro, who, according to AI themselves, has led a regime guilty of 'arbitrary arrests, detention and criminal prosecution,' as well as 'unfair sentences, harassment and intimidation of critics,' and use of the death penalty for individuals 'trying to flee the island'; or barring the 1999 visit of late Togolese dictator Gnassingbe Eyadema, who human rights organizations accused of operating a 'state of terror.'
Kenney gives it to them with both barrels, (oh dear, I mentioned a gun part!) good for him and Kenney's spokeswoman...way to go Candice, call them on the facts. Lefties can't deal with facts, they are all about emotions. Emotions do not solve anything, but whining and crying about an issue looks good.....to other lefties.

I would be interested to know who funds Amnesty. Do they take blood money from dictatorships? How clean are they? Why do they go after the democratic countries and not Saudi Arabia? HA!

Finally, I am really sorry Ontario, but look at the bright side, Dalton will have to fix the deficit that his government created. In a minority, he will be reined in to a certain extent. Dalton will have to eat it.

Question Period: A Red Herring!

I have not been doing my question period videos lately because I switched to a Mac and my video capture software only works on Windows. I can do it, but it is not as easy as before, I need to switch from the Mac to Windows back again to the Mac. I did have the time tonight to capture some of question period and power play. Here is the abbreviated version of question period. The last bit is really funny, even the Speaker gets into the fun.

So, first up was PM Harper mentioning the protesters from yesterday, and then Clark on Power Play reminds us what happened. Seems like the NDP might have had a hand in those protests. Just a suggestion, but maybe someone should be talking to NDP MP Linda Duncan, she is very good at getting the youth vote out. Weren't a lot of those protesters from Alberta? I have no concrete evidence it was her, but it's how she ran her campaign. Besides that, if the CBC can show a protester bleeding, implying bad behaviour by the RCMP and security at Parliament, I can ask some journalist to check into her connection to the eco-protesters.

Then we get a Liberal MP, supposedly a DR., Carolyn Bennett going ballistic. She really has an irrational reaction to anything Conservative. Watch her during question period, a more sour face you will never see. Anyways, if as a DOCTOR, she is confused, maybe it's better that she is in Parliament, away from patients. Just saying.

Then we get lots of fun talk about herrings, even the Speaker mentions red herrings, and watch Jason Kenney, he finds "herring problem" pretty funny. It was a good way to round out question period.

You can see how relaxed the Conservatives are on their side and how tense the Liberals are, they didn't even smile about the "red herring" comment. Tense, tense, tense. Where was their leader today? PM Harper managed to be in the House, and I'm sure he is twenty times busier running a country. Poor Iffy can't seem to control 77 MP's, let alone his own party.

Evidence of that is how Clark got played by the Liberals today on Power Play, Joanne at Blue Like You has the goods on that event. Ouch, Tom looked like a fool and the Liberal strategist let him. Or did the Liberal strategist have no clue either? That's even worse. Even Liberals have no clue what's happening in their own party.

Question Period Summary: One Brave Liberal!

Question period makes strange bedfellows, one brave Liberal goes against Kinsella and the Liberal party. Notice no Liberals applaud his statement. This is not an issue that should be us against them, this is an issue about common sense, you support all people who are suffering not just one side, this is where progressives fail.

Feminists support women who want abortions for free, but do not support women who want children. Feminists yell blue murder when they think their right to equal pay is being eroded by Conservatives, but we get silence from them on the right of Afghan women to an education. Feminists support gay rights, but forget about all those children that are being killed because a family thinks they have been dishonoured, and have the right to kill their daughters for not wearing a head covering. Feminists want more research into why women get beat up by their husbands, but fail to rally around the women who need actual shelters to live in. Feminists are part of the problem, they are not the solution.

Progressives think the government can solve all problems. They reject individualism and capitalism. They crowd together in solidarity, because they can not function as individuals, they are failures masquerading as successes. They hail the racist United Nations as progressive, they yearn for a global government because they hate anything that smacks of patriotism. They embrace global warming because they realize it could lead to global government where everyone suffers and no one is happy or successful. The weak always try to take out the strong, they do it by corrupting our justice system, and making every criminal a victim. They cry crocodile tears for terrorists like Khadr, but offer no support for real victims. They cry about the average worker needing help, but then fail to support any measures that would actually lift the people out of poverty. They develop whole industries around poverty and climate change yet never pick up a hammer to build a house for them, they prefer to hold useless protests while dressed in polar bear suits, yet they have never even bothered to tour the oilsands.

They are intellectual midgets who chant about not flushing your toilets and think that will save the world. You never find them planting a vegetable garden, they are too "hip" for that. They never actually get their hands "dirty" but they are quick to label people "deniers" without any proof that they are right. They are the weak, the misfits, the people who are unable to achieve, so they try to take what is not theirs, they create nothing, they build only discontent, they are the destroyers of freedom, but only for those who achieve. They love being victims, and they are so discontent with their own lives that they want us all to become victims too, sobbing into our collective glasses of water about how unfair life is.

Well, I refuse to be their victim. I refuse to think that my success and happiness in life can be destroyed by some wet behind the ears idiot living in their parents basement screaming at the top of their lungs...."I want to be loved, I deserve it".

Get a real job, and suck it up kiddo.

Meeting Jason Kenney.

I went to a BBQ for James Rajotte last night and Jason Kenney was the guest speaker. He is an excellent speaker, and from what I understand James and Jason share an apartment in Ottawa, and they are both messy guys. They are also both single, so ladies, take a serious look at those two guys. They are both sweethearts! (Okay you two, your on your own from here.)HA!

My neighbour came with me because my husband is a political deadbeat. Her husband and her were in a refugee camp, and when asked, decided that Canada would be a great place to go. They have never regretted it, they have raised two children, sent them through university, and are now happy to have their first grandchild.

We sometimes get into heated political debates, but it never hurts our relationship. We are both very opinionated, head strong ladies, but we can't argue with our non-political husbands, so the two of us argue, sparks fly, and then we shake hands afterward.

Now, being that I have never seen any real military conflict in my life, and my neighbour was forced to flee for her life, our views on the military and immigration differ, so I was surprised by her response to Jason Kenney's speech. She loved what he said and wanted to shake his hand. She felt an immediate kinship with what he was saying and finally felt that someone understood immigrants.

Now, if my small sample of one immigrant is representative of other immigrants, Jason Kenney is doing a great job of bringing immigrant votes to the Conservatives, not by bribing them, or scaring them, but by talking to them in their own language. Good job Jason!

Minna Mouth!

Maybe Dion should put Maria Minna up against May in the debates, they both mouth off without listening to anyone. Watch Jason Kenney's eyebrows in the last bit of the exchange, priceless!!

It appears that even in Liberal Land, the MP's are scared. The problem appears to be that they don't know who to fight, the Conservatives or the NDP, so, as shown in this clip, they are fighting both. Not a winning strategy.

PM Harper and the Conservatives have their targets, the Liberals and the Bloq, this leaves the NDP free to target the Liberals and Greens. Now we have the Greens in the debate, it should get interesting. Four lefty parties against one righty party. It sure is getting crowded on the left these days.

We know the Liberals and the Greens are working together.

OTTAWA — Elizabeth May says she won't endorse Liberal Leader Stephane Dion during the current election campaign.
There's no need. Long before the election writ was dropped last Sunday, the Green party leader had repeatedly touted Dion as her choice for Canada's next prime minister.
Yet she professed surprise when Prime Minister Stephen Harper effectively vetoed her participation in the televised leaders' debates on the grounds that she'd be little more than a stalking horse for Dion.

Where the heck are the Rhinos to take away the protest vote from the Greens? Will true Greens shift their vote to the Liberals? Not the Greens I know. So, where will the protest voters shift once they really listen to May?

Funny how the election is about stopping a majority for the Conservatives, not voting for the candidate/party that you support. Will blow hard Danny Boy's ABC work? HA! He's the new Ralph Klein, except lefties love him. Maybe he will be the Liberals next leader. Why not, they have Rae from the NDP's. Talk about an identity crisis, the Liberals stand for nothing because they don't have a clue what Canadian values really are!
