Boot REDford!

The PC's are reluctant to call an election right now because of all the negative publicity they are getting. Personally I think they are stinking up our province and have to be given the boot. Spring means a fresh new world, and we need that right now. I have reserved a lawn sign for the Wildrose, and I want a bumper sticker as well. I know that Conservatives tend not to advertize their political affiliation, but this election is going to be a hard won fight, and we need to stop being so afraid of "wearing our colours". Go to Wildrose, and get your reservation for a lawn sign now! It's time to stop bellyaching and start acting.

Ms. REDford is so arrogant that she believes that the PC's are going to win again, well I have news for her....it's not in the cards. She will be Alberta's Kim Campbell. I'm not the only one who thinks she has to go, the ground swell has been building long before she became the Premier Elect. I remember talking to neighbours two years ago about Wildrose, and switching our votes. At that time we had finally elected a PC candidate instead of a Liberal one, and we thought that was a good thing. I do not feel that way anymore. If our riding splits the votes between the PC's and Wildrose and a Liberal slips in because of it, as long as the Liberal is moderate, I'm going to be okay with it, until the next election.

Ms. Redford is also convinced that Alberta parents are a hindrance to the teaching of communal values in the classroom. Her Education Minister is pushing amendments to the provincial Education Act that would remove parents as the “primary educators” of their children (with schools as complements to the home), and replace home values with the provisions of the Alberta Human Rights Act.

This, the Minister, Thomas Lukaszuk, insists, is not the intent of the amendments. But whether or not it is the intent, it will be the effect. Alberta is one of the few remaining provinces in which parents are still recognized in law as the chief teachers of their children. Unseating them from that perch and replacing them with the commissioners and investigators of a human rights tribunal cannot help but have a profound impact over time on the nature of schooling, whether Mr. Lukaszuk is perceptive enough to see that or not.

This change, too, is Ms. Redford’s doing.
As a former United Nations bureaucrat and a long-time advocate of the politically correct version of human rights — in which the ancient freedoms of free speech, free assembly and private property are trumped by modern notions of fairness, tolerance and self-esteem — Alberta’s new Premier has wanted since she was attorney-general under Mr. Stelmach to give parents no options about the ideals their children must absorb at school. Within days of winning the Tory leadership contest, Ms. Redford said she would end parents’ ability to exempt their sons and daughters from sex-ed and life-skills courses that included lessons that undermine many family beliefs.

The changes that Mr. Lukaszuk insists will not upend parental authority have been devised by the Premier to do exactly that. The Minister is merely the smiling face on her larger plan. Indeed, Ms. Redford is said to be pushing with all her might to get the amendments approved before the election commences so voters won’t notice the change until it is too late.

Parents need to get informed, they are about to lose their rights and freedoms to the AHRC, which we of course know will never be abolished under REDford. 

It's time Alberta. We are a strong, independent people, in a province with wealth to share. The only thing stopping us is our old, tired government that is so entitled to their entitlements they have forgotten about Albertans. Even Ted Morton thought it was okay to take away more of our private property rights, so that we have no say in where new power lines will go. They have become our enemies, they are taking away rights instead of expanding them like we expect of true Conservatives. They are PROGRESSIVES, there is nothing Conservative about them anymore. Vote them out.

Boot REDford. I wish I was in her riding, just to feel the satisfaction of voting for the Wildrose, and against her PC's.

Ignatieff Forgets To Support CANADA!

We all expect the opposition to "oppose", but there are times that they need to take Canada into account. Iggy forgot that and as a Canadian, that disappoints me tremendously.

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff has said Canada's chances of winning the vote for a seat on the Security Council have been hurt by the prime minister ignoring the UN for most of his time in office.

Ignatieff can say whatever he wants. Canada has not been this active on the world stage in decades. When Harper started his term he toured Africa and did a number of new partnerships with the Gates Foundation to build clinics and other resources for Africa. He was the first G8 leader to invite African heads of states to the meeting. Canada was one of the first countries to respond following the disaster in Haiti. Being involved in international relations is more than giving a speech at the UN, its about being involved. And this PM has a good track record. All of that without naming the new initiative on Maternal Health launched at the G8. We have solid relations with a great deal of the third world, the support of President Obama, solid respect from European leaders following the recent G8. This is Canada's seat to lose.

Why can't a guy who is supposedly as smart as Ignatieff not figure out that sometimes you need to support our Prime Minister? Is it so hard for Liberals to think about ALL Canadians, not just Liberal thinking progressives?

Our Prime Minister did a great job of representing Canada on the world stage today. I can't wait for his speech on Thursday. Lefties and their fawning journalists need to realize that Canadians are proud of the job that PM Harper is doing on the international level. The Liberals needed to come out in support of Canada's bid for a seat on the Security Council, not use it to try and gain lefty votes. It's a sad statement on the state of the Liberal party and Ignatieff as their leader, when they can't see past their own "hidden" agenda. Grow up, think about more than yourselves, and show some support for Canada.

Dear Ms. Thomas, I read on numerous Web sites the remarks attributed to you (and I did not see any denial) that we, the Jews must “get the hell out of Palestine” and “go home” to Germany or Poland. I am convinced that you are aware of the events which took place during the years 1939-1945 but, to be certain, I think it appropriate to tell you a little about my parents and their families.

Just like Helen Thomas was forced to retire for her bad behavior, all those "freedom fighters" need to be called on their actions. If Iran does send their boats as escorts, those "freedom fighters" will be responsible for starting a new war, but they won't see it that way. It also clearly shows that they are not concerned about the people living in Gaza.

The media is unbalanced. It disgusts me that Helen Thomas was until today, the head journalist at the Whitehouse. She was what all journalists aspired to be. We can probably write her off as suffering from dementia, or not. Why give her an excuse to look better. With Reuters photo shopping pictures, can anyone actually believe in the media anymore?

Bashing Some Religions....

Has become an art with lefties. You can not be an Evangelical, or a Catholic, and run for office, because you are imposing your morals on everyone else. Or so the story goes. Liberals are up to their cultural wars. How did Quebec lose it's way? They insist that we respect their language and their culture, but they have cut a huge hole in their culture by turning their backs on religion and especially Catholic teachings. Why do these people insist on mixing their religious beliefs with politics? As long as they insist on it, why should we stop bashing them? I know that it's supposed to be taboo to criticize somebody religious beliefs, but they have made those religious beliefs into political causes and intertwined the two. By doing so, they have made it necessary for us to criticize their religion.

I bet you thought he was talking about Muslims. Lefties have shown how they are acting as apologists for Muslims by their actions today. They are supporting a terrorist group, Hamas, who are actively killing their own people, over a country, Israel, who has a right to defend their people.

A country has the right to stop anyone from entering into their territory, period. These "progressives" have gotten used to not being challenged by police when they protest, from environmentalists to G20 protesters, they have been handled with kids gloves, and when attacked the police and politicians have backed off. Israel was using kids gloves in handling a very sticky situation and only when FORCED by those "progressives" did they retaliate. I hope the freedom fighters are in shock tonight. It is not a game, they got their own people killed. The videos clearly show that they were the aggressors. I wonder how many of those dead were killed by the terrorists who grabbed the guns from the soldiers and started shooting? The Israelis were shooting at the legs, which is not a kill shot. So how many of the bullets from the stolen guns ended up killing their own people? I bet we will find that out soon.

This is not a culture war, it is not a war about land, it is a war about a religion, but not the Evangelicals, they have killed no one, they have planted no IED's, they have flown no planes into buildings, they have hung no gays, they have stoned no women. The "progressives" think Christians are weak and therefore an easy target. Christians are under attack, as are Jews. It is time for us to call the "progressives" game. It is time to stand up for Israel and it is time to stand up against those who hate and hide behind their own religion, the religion of peace, like we saw today.

I suggest as a start, that all "progressives" convert to Islam. To be a true warrior for their cause, they must convert. Then get back to us Christians when your daughters are required to marry a 65 year old at the tender age of 13. These supposed "aid workers" thought they could challenge Israel like Greenpeace challenges the whale hunters, too bad they are too immature to realize that they were playing with people's lives. The blame is on their shoulders, they started it, now it has been ended badly for some of them, for which I am really sorry.

Quote statistics all you want, but the reality is that we "feel" less safe than we did before. "Progessives" should be able to relate to that, because it's about "feelings". Here's a statistic, if 80% of Edmontonians think Edmonton is becoming more violent, that means at least 30% of those people must be "progressives", so who is kidding who?

Funny, when just a few long weekend campers drink too much and cause problems, they BAN drinking in the national parks, but when a few protesters torch a bank, and destroy property, they yell "freedom of speech" and nobody BANS them from protesting. Here's a clue, if they are covering their faces, they are going to do something illegal, why else would you cover your face? Make all the organizations that protest pay for the extra police services needed because of them, Ann Coulter had to pay for her protection. Why should the taxpayers have to pay for it? We are not out there protesting, we are too busy working. Any damage to any buildings should be paid for by the protesters, whether it is their organizations who did the damage or not. You protest, you pay.



The "progressives" have campaigned to BAN smoking, guns, and now drinking, but they want legalized marijuana, prostitutes, and protesting that might get violent (think of what they cost us in police services). Then they talk about their values being "Canadian values"? Are they really that delusional?

Some Babies Count More Than Others!

I know that recently gender selection has been an issue in the news. How sad that some babies are considered more precious than others. How sad that some women are so selfish that they consider their body more important than any baby they might have had, and that abortion is an option no matter what their situation. This is not the sixties anymore when an unwanted pregnancy was considered a stain on a young girls life. Where would the US be right now if Obama's 17 year old mother had aborted him?

Here is a story that should warm all our hearts.

"I wake up in the morning and I see her big smile and think, "I'm so happy I get to spend another day with you, I get to see what you're going to show me today," says her mother, Vicki McKenzie, 32. "Every day with her is a birthday for us."

A year ago, Vicki and her husband, Ian, 33, had no idea whether their baby was going to survive one minute out of the womb, let alone one year. In March 2009, at 30 weeks gestation, doctors at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa discovered the baby had a heart condition called critical aortic stenosis, which causes a narrowing of the main outlet valve in the left ventricle. Without treatment, the baby would likely die of heart failure before or during birth.

Everyday is special for this family. There was no, my body, my choice garbage. It was all about, my baby, whatever I can do to save her. They did everything they could to help this precious baby girl survive. I applaud them, and hope it all works out for them.

It really highlights the selfishness of women who think their bodies are more important than their babies. Remember how years ago it was considered okay to sterilize females who were mentally deficient because they might have mentally deficient children. We cringe about that now. We think we are so modern and sophisticated, that we have evolved as a society, when in fact we have regressed. Now we are not sterilizing the mentally deficient anymore, but we as a society are condoning the death of perfectly healthy babies because the mother doesn't want stretch marks, or the responsibility of raising a child on their own.

We are not more "progressive", we are regressive, and we should be ashamed that we are too scared of the radical left feminists to even enact a law that would protect babies after 20 weeks. Think about it, 20 weeks is over 4 months of pregnancy, this is not a blob of cells anymore, ask any mother who has heard their babies heartbeat, whether that is a blob of cells or a baby.

Feminists refuse to evolve. They chant "my body, my choice" like little robots without feeling, or a sense of what damage they do to society and themselves by not just condoning abortion but promoting it as a method of birth control.

When finally some politician has the balls to stand up for the unborn children that are being slaughtered, our society will be able to move forward. Right now the opposition is more concerned about protecting terrorists than they are about protecting our most precious resource, unborn babies.

Gender selection is not the problem, allowing abortion up until the point of birth is the problem. We should be ashamed as a nation that we allow that to happen. And for the feminists that will tell us that late term abortions are rare, well so too are women that are raped who get pregnant. I would like to see a study done on how many women who are raped actually get pregnant.

Let's be "progressive" and ban abortions. After all, we know how lefties love to ban stuff, and this would be one ban I could get behind 100%!

CAUTION! Profane language for one time only, to prove a point about lefties and their oh so progressive ideas about female Conservative bloggers. Question is, should I be calling the police on this? I sort of understand how Sarah Palin feels. Slimy people who are more interested in money and smear, than their own country, sad really.

I often get swarmed by trolls sent over here by a particularly obnoxious Liberal blogger. Sometimes the trolls behave, but I have had to put my blog on moderation numerous times because of disgusting language and attacks on mainly my female posters.

When I put comment moderation on, the trolls yell about "freedom of speech" and how I am denying them their rights. So, I thought my readers might like to see a small sample of why I have to put comment moderation on. It's a great glimpse into the lefties progressiveness or lack there of. First off, the only CC to post on my blog in that thread was you. So are you talking to yourself, or did you come here from some lefty blog that thinks swearing is normal and the owners initials are CC?

Secondly, if you trolls ever had anything interesting or constructive to say, maybe your comments would get posted.

I try to stay away from even acknowledging the trolls, but their whining about their comments being deleted from my blog, when they clearly abuse the rules, is just too much to ignore.

So comment moderation stays on for now. Just thought some of you might like to see a little behind the scenes action. Oh... and trolls, never ASSUME that just because your comment doesn't get posted that it has been deleted. It might be lurking somewhere, just waiting to see the light of day. Nice language lefties, it really makes you look oh so intelligent, progressive, and mature.

It's Not Sexy, It's Sexist!

The progressives think they are enlightened and march relentlessly toward their idea of a Utopian world, where all people are treated equal, except for those they disagree with, like knuckle dragging conservatives (Fife), stay at home Moms, climate change deniers, Sarah Palin, military personnel, anti-abortionists, religious people etc. The list of the unequal is based on anyone who DARES to have a different vision of Utopia.

Let's look at which female Ministers the opposition have attacked since 2006 when the Conservatives won power.

Now, correct me is I'm wrong, but first up was Rona Ambrose, they hounded her endlessly, even yapping about her hair, until Baird took over the environment portfolio, they then stopped the attack, even though he was saying the same things.

Next up was Bev Oda, they attacked her because of a mythical cut to the SOWS, then when they replaced her with Josee Verner, the attacks continued until she was moved into a different portfolio. So far the progressives have tried to tangle with Helene Guergis, but no luck there, she doesn't take any lefty garbage. James Moore has now taken over the portfolio of Heritage, and the progressives, especially the feminist Bloc members, have very politely been put in their place.

Now we have the progressives attacking Lisa Raitt for something she had no control over, a bad communications assistant who couldn't keep secret documents secret, nor private audio tapes out of media hands. They have brought Leona Aglukkaq into this mess, but they have to be very careful because not only is she a woman, but she is also aboriginal. So, they made it appear that Lisa had attacked her, when is reality, she had called her competent! They even made fun of Diane Finley because she had to wear sunglasses for an eye condition. Very progressive, not.

I'm beginning to think that it's not sexy, it's sexist.

What female Minister haven't the progressives attacked? Gail Shea come on down!!! I suspect you are next! Funny they won't attack Diane Ablonczy..... scared??

Progressives do not like strong, independent Conservative women, witness what they did, and are still doing to Sarah Palin. What is it about strong independent women that progressives hate? Are feminists so insecure that they fear a woman who can have a career and a family? Do they have to turn every male into a metro-sexual, just like them before they are happy?

Progressives want everyone to join them in their ideal Utopia, where men and women are not just equal, they are indistinguishable from each other. Where everyone runs around fed and happy without having to work for it. Where home ownership, and a big honking TV for everyone, is a right.

Where being green means that you hop on carbon spewing planes to Bali and cry about the drowning polar bears. Where a bird killing wind turbine that takes up huge tracks of agricultural land is okay but an oil rig that kills nothing is bad.



They are blinded by their ideology, and if attacking Conservative female Ministers gains them one convert to their way of thinking, they will do it without so much as a blink. Don't you DARE call them sexist though, progressives can't be sexist, only us white, knuckle dragging, redneck, religious, gun loving nuts suffer from sexism, racism, and various other afflictions.

The opposition has attacked every Conservative female Minister, but this time they had massive help from the MSM, how progressive. Funny how IRuby was protected by the MSM, and by the way, where are all the interviews with the fired assistant.....crickets.

Question Period Summary: One Brave Liberal!

Question period makes strange bedfellows, one brave Liberal goes against Kinsella and the Liberal party. Notice no Liberals applaud his statement. This is not an issue that should be us against them, this is an issue about common sense, you support all people who are suffering not just one side, this is where progressives fail.



Feminists support women who want abortions for free, but do not support women who want children. Feminists yell blue murder when they think their right to equal pay is being eroded by Conservatives, but we get silence from them on the right of Afghan women to an education. Feminists support gay rights, but forget about all those children that are being killed because a family thinks they have been dishonoured, and have the right to kill their daughters for not wearing a head covering. Feminists want more research into why women get beat up by their husbands, but fail to rally around the women who need actual shelters to live in. Feminists are part of the problem, they are not the solution.

Progressives think the government can solve all problems. They reject individualism and capitalism. They crowd together in solidarity, because they can not function as individuals, they are failures masquerading as successes. They hail the racist United Nations as progressive, they yearn for a global government because they hate anything that smacks of patriotism. They embrace global warming because they realize it could lead to global government where everyone suffers and no one is happy or successful. The weak always try to take out the strong, they do it by corrupting our justice system, and making every criminal a victim. They cry crocodile tears for terrorists like Khadr, but offer no support for real victims. They cry about the average worker needing help, but then fail to support any measures that would actually lift the people out of poverty. They develop whole industries around poverty and climate change yet never pick up a hammer to build a house for them, they prefer to hold useless protests while dressed in polar bear suits, yet they have never even bothered to tour the oilsands.

They are intellectual midgets who chant about not flushing your toilets and think that will save the world. You never find them planting a vegetable garden, they are too "hip" for that. They never actually get their hands "dirty" but they are quick to label people "deniers" without any proof that they are right. They are the weak, the misfits, the people who are unable to achieve, so they try to take what is not theirs, they create nothing, they build only discontent, they are the destroyers of freedom, but only for those who achieve. They love being victims, and they are so discontent with their own lives that they want us all to become victims too, sobbing into our collective glasses of water about how unfair life is.

Well, I refuse to be their victim. I refuse to think that my success and happiness in life can be destroyed by some wet behind the ears idiot living in their parents basement screaming at the top of their lungs...."I want to be loved, I deserve it".

Get a real job, and suck it up kiddo.

Maritime divorce lawyer Terry Shepperd says attitudes are shifting around how people deal with divorce because marriages aren't lasting as long as they used to. He says some young people have an easier time letting go of their past than their older counterparts.

"If they're older they tend to be more upset, tearful that their relationship has broken down."

Post marital BLISS? Hey, why not hold the divorce party at a swingers club, really show how "progressive" you are, it's a perfect match. Bury the ring, a symbol of love, and celebrate the end of a relationship while switching partners. Win/Win!

I understand that some marriages should end, but this is getting ridiculous. Maybe Heather Mills should hold a party, she has the money.


Heather Mills is on the offensive again after her $53 million divorce settlement with ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney.

She has posted a sign outside her mansion threatening the press with legal action for trespassing, reports say.

The 40-year-old former model placed a sign outside her Peans Wood Mansion in Robertsbridge, East Sussex that read "Private - legal action maybe taken against unauthorised persons found on this property.", Britain's Telegraph reported.

Oop's guess she's not in the mood to party.

The family unit is the most important component to the success of our society. A stable family life helps our children become well adjusted adults. A breakdown of the family unit makes it much harder for our children to succeed. To celebrate the failure of that family is wrong.

There IS healing available and, yes, new beginnings are possible - but divorce: something to celebrate? How ridiculous!
