Hypocritical Media...They NEVER Challenged The Bloc

CTV is all abuzz because two NDP MP's might have been reading the national anthem from a piece of paper.

Video of two New Democrat MPs apparently needing to consult a lyrics sheet for O Canada has raised a lot of eyebrows, and triggered a backlash from NDP members.
A field producer for CTV's Ottawa Bureau first noticed the mysterious sheet of paper held by MPs Lise St-Denis & Djaouida Sellah in the House of Commons, and his Twitter post caused a mini-firestorm.
The NDP's national director said not every MP knows the anthem in Canada's two official languages, but St-Denis and Sellah appear to consult the lyrics sheet for both.
A mini-firestorm? Golly!!!!! Sad sack journalists. How come those "so shocked" journalists NEVER complained that the Bloc NEVER even showed up to sing the national anthem? I have proof:

The Bloc NEVER showed up for our national anthem, but the media are going after two NDP MP's because they were at least participating in the singing of our anthem? Hypocrites.

I couldn't sing the French version, and I can pretend to sing the French parts of the English/French version. I want all those so smug CTV journalists, to stand up, and sing the English/French version of our anthem without a cue card. I want Lisa Flameout to lead the singing. What? Not going to happen? It's easy to criticize from behind a mic, try actually participating in our democracy, instead of shi**ing on it and complaining without any solutions.
You all know that I have nothing in common with the NDP, but this is just the Liberal media making up stories because "occupy anything" has failed, climategate 2 is blowing up in the IPCC arena, and the Liberals are fading into the woodwork.

If It Saves Just One Life, It Is Worth It.

Dr. Bennett, you have an appointment....with some violent criminals. You can yap all you want about crime rates, but until you actually visit a prison, keep your yap shut. Typical Liberal, bellyache about Conservatives being tough on crime and forget to actually talk to the ones most involved, the victims. Then she needs to go to a prison and talk to the inmates, she will be shocked with the crowded conditions they have to live in, that should get her little Liberal heart beating fast so she can start a group advocating better prisons.

Statscan's "Crime Severity Index", which tracks violent crime, also dropped to its lowest level ever since that index was created in 1998.
"Yet we have a Conservative government trying to implement policies based on ill-informed ideas instead of evidence," said Liberal MP Carolyn Bennett.
"Conservatives continue their fear-mongering in hopes of scaring Canadians into accepting severe and ineffective crime legislation. The omnibus crime bill planned for fall will only exacerbate prison costs."
Liberals blast the Conservatives for getting rid of the useless long gun registry, by stating...."if it saves just one life, it is worth it". They should also apply that same logic to prisons. If keeping one violent criminal behind bars for their full sentence, "saves just one life"... it is worth it!

How about this unhinged Judge, who couldn't wait 3 minutes for a prosecutor?

An Ontario Court judge, in an apparent fit of pique, has tossed an entire docket’s worth of guilty pleas.
The incident happened Thursday in 202 court in Newmarket, north of Toronto, where a dozen people, some of whom had already pleaded guilty and were slated for sentencing, were abruptly released.
Ontario’s attorney-general’s ministry is already “taking steps to have a court review the dismissals,” spokesman Jenn Bell said in an email, with a view to getting the charges “back before the court quickly.”
The courtroom is solely dedicated to guilty pleas.
Apparently furious that assistant Crown attorney Brian McCallion was late returning from a recess, Judge Howard Chisvin abruptly dismissed the charges for what he called “want of prosecution.”
This is Liberal justice? Free guilty people because a Judge was made to wait a few minutes? This judge should be fired. Especially for a past ruling:

Judge Chisvin, who was appointed to the bench in 2004 after an 18-year stint as a defence lawyer, is no stranger to controversy.
Three years ago, he set free a man who was facing four charges of assault, three of threatening and two of mischief in relation to a domestic dispute because the judge ruled he had been denied a properly speedy bail hearing.
But Judge Chisvin didn’t only release the man, also ordered the Crown to pay his $12,000 legal costs as a penalty for what he called its “lackadaisical attitude.”
Three months later, the same fellow, one Davood Zarinchang, was being sought by York Regional Police for attempted murder in connection with a violent home invasion. The revelation that he’d been released not long before by Judge Chisvin caused a brouhaha.
A headline in the Toronto Star on Feb. 5, 2008, read, “Warrant for man released by angry judge.”
Mr. Zarinchang was eventually convicted in connection with the violent home invasion and sentenced to seven years.
And in the spring of last year, the Ontario Court of Appeal ordered that he also stand trial for the charges Judge Chisvin had thrown out – and reduced the amount the Crown had to pay for Mr. Zarinchang’s legal bills to about $3,000.
So, the Judge releases a violent criminal and 3 months later that same criminal gets arrested for ATTEMPTED MURDER? Dr. Bennett can harp all she wants about statistics that show crime decreasing, that is her right, but I want her to talk to some criminals first, she might be shocked about what they have to say. Too bad she is all spit, and no shine!

Here is an idea, Dr. Bennett should go undercover into a prison for the month of August, live with the inmates, talk to them, see how crowded the prisons really are, and then come back and spout off about no funds needed to upgrade those prisons. She should spend the month in a provincial prison, not a federal prison, because from what I hear, the provincial prisons are hellholes compared to the federal ones.

MP's go on fact finding tours to places like Greece, Italy, and France all the time. It is time for them to go on a fact finding tour into our prisons. I bet none will, it's not an exotic enough location, kind of like the Greens, never holding a conference in the NWT in January.

Maybe an actual journalist could do a little investigative reporting and talk to some real criminals, convicted of real crimes, to see what they think of the prison system, and while they are at it, they might want to talk to some prison guards, parole officers, etc. It might be an interesting article, instead of the garbage we usually get from journalists.

We Owe Them Our Respect.

Those brave men and women who protect our country deserve our praise and gratitude. In this new year, let us make sure they know how much we appreciate their sacrifice for our country. That is my new years resolution.

Every time I hear about another soldier who has been killed, my heart breaks for the family. Their child is gone, he/she feels no more pain, but the family must endure the loss of one too young to be gone.

The slimy disgusting terrorists know that Christmas is a prime time to kill our young ones, they gloat about it, and the journalists report it, without turning them in. I guess a "scoop" is more important than integrity.

The lame stream media deserves to die. I was flabbergasted this Christmas when both my Liberal parents said the CBC should be gone. I never thought I would hear them talk about how bad the CBC was, and they are in their eighties. The LSM are killing themselves with their obvious Liberal bias, do they not understand that Liberals are all talk, no buy papers type of people. Looking at the donations to the Liberal party, they are also all talk, no support with money kinds of people.

It saddens me that the media is more interested in "got-you" moments than actual reporting of facts. I hate to say it, but now that one of their own has died, maybe they will start reporting the truth of what is happening over in Afghanistan.

If the terrorist who laid the bomb that killed 4 soldiers and one journalist was caught, would journalists be crying for his rights? Will journalists get their heads out of the Liberals butts long enough to actually report real news? It appears that they are so dumb that they can't understand why no one is watching them anymore.

Every hour of every day, our troops risk their lives for Canadians.

Gov. Gen. Michaelle Jean, too, reacted with sadness to the deaths and injuries.

"This new tragedy, like all those before it, is shocking," she said in a statement early Thursday.

"It reminds us of the underhanded, blind, daily violence facing our Canadian soldiers, journalists and humanitarian workers in Afghanistan, who are working alongside the local population already hard hit by decades of terror.

"Our thoughts are with the families, the loved ones and the colleagues of the deceased. We also wish the injured a prompt recovery."

Funny....underhanded, blind, daily violence....yet the Liberals keep on bleating about one supposed terrorist being hit with a shoe. Keep it up Liberals and your lame media, it is only pushing independents into the Conservative column.

To make the lives of our military a political issue is disgusting. Liberals are so out of touch with Canadians that they think we care about a terrorist being tortured. I wonder if the person who planted the IED that killed 4 of our soldiers and a journalist has been in an Afghan jail and been released. Maybe the opposition can look into that while they are on holidays. Or are they all too busy getting tans in Arizona to really care about Afghanistan?

They have cried wolf so often, that even the wolf won't come when called anymore. The LSM is looking like fools to everyone except die hard lefties. I will not buy any paper that hangs onto the detainee issue. We don't care. The Taliban behead people, they rape young girls before they stone them to death, they are subhuman creatures that deserve to be hit on the head with a shoe. I do not watch CBC or CTV anymore. If companies want their ads to be watched, they better start switching to blogs.

In this new year of 2010, let's make sure that our voices are heard. We can effect change by speaking out. The silent majority needs to get vocal.

We need to hear about real heroes:

I Am Educated Therefore I Deserve A Job!

I remember graduating from high school and applying to the university of Alberta. I was one of very few from my graduating class to get accepted. Most girls were more interested in marrying a farmer and having kids. Funny how I look back now and realize that I was more suited to be a farmer than anything else. In my first year of university my English professor recommended me for honours English. I was flattered but could see no future in an English degree.

So, when I read about this poor university student who can't get a job, I had to shake my head. She EXPECTS to get a job because she graduated from university.

Young and out of work

Eric Lam, Financial Post

Andrea Hoang, fresh out of university, has no idea if she is ever going to find work. And considering the July employment data released Friday from Statistics Canada, she has good reason to worry.

"I don't think people care about young people. Young people are really undervalued," Ms. Hoang said.

...."What am I going to do tomorrow?" she said. The Ryerson journalism graduate completed a month-long internship at a major cable news channel, then went to Quebec to learn French. But she did not earn a cent from any of these stints.

Now back in Toronto, she's joined the growing army of unemployed or underemployed young Canadians. The effects may show up in more than the job numbers.

"I feel I've done enough unpaid work. I can't afford to intern anymore," she said. "A lot of people have a defeated attitude. It's hard when you're poor and bored -- you don't feel like a valuable member of society."

Poor and BORED?? She expected to be in demand because she is ...well she just is!

Ms. Hoang used to think getting a university degree should get someone a decent job, but does not feel that way anymore. She's thought about going back to school to ride out the recession, but is pessimistic about that as well.

"A lot of people are doing master's programs, teaching abroad, doing a fifth year. What about in two years, when all of those people come out? Won't I have to compete with all of those people too?" she said. "What if waiting around [for a recovery] doesn't help either?"

Now here is the true heart of the problem, she will have to compete with others. The poor thing has never had to compete before and has no idea how to do it now. Our sissy elementary teachers, don't want kids to feel inferior because they might compete and fail. Gone is track and field, that is harmful to those who compete and lose. Gone is football, soccer and baseball, those are all competitive sports, that can not be allowed, they harm a poor babies self image.

Give me a break! She took journalism, an artsy degree. Did she really think she was going to instantly get a job? Is her writing so inspiring she stands out in a crowd of thousands just like her? Obviously not. That is not my problem, nor yours. As for the $20,000 in debt? Maybe she should have worked over the summers, I did and left university with my degree, and no debt.

It is not being young that is the problem, it is taking a useless degree that is the problem. A person taking history has very few employment options. The universities will not tell you that, but if you are smart enough to go to university, you should be smart enough to figure that out.

I am educated therefore I deserve a job....hey, every company needs a journalist grad right? I see ads for journalists everyday. HA!

The Press As PM Harper Sees Them.

We all know that PM Harper has problems with the Ottawa press gallery. All we hear are questions being asked and we never see the faces behind the questions. For some reason, the camera crew kept on jumping between PM Harper and the press. Look closely at them while they ask their questions, and when they are caught off guard by the camera. I don't know who was covering this event, but that cameraman should get a raise.

PM Harper faces these people everyday. What struck me is that only one reporter asked an intelligent question, the others were parrots, talking, but having no real understanding of what they were saying.

PM Harper is in his element with questions on the economy, he appears to be having great fun answering the questions. The problem is that the journalists have no clue what he is talking about, watch their eyes, they are glazed over from lack of understanding, some even appear to be hostile. A journalist degree does not an economist make, but journalists think they can make or break a PM.

Such power in petty little people's hands is dangerous to democracy.
