Ann Coulter visit sets off furor
Local activist and one-time NDP candidate Megan Walker says of Coulter, "She's venomous . . . She crosses the line and promotes hatred and violence."
Walker's comments provoked a response from a woman instrumental in bringing Coulter to London, Mary Lou Ambrogio, whose group, the International Free Press Society, is paying $10,000 for the appearance, the balance of Coulter's fee coming from an American group that promotes conservatism in young women, the Claire Boothe Luce Policy Institute.
Coulter couldn't be reached by phone. In a brief e-mail, Coulter offered to comment, but hadn't done so by Friday.
Ambrogio said Coulter was chosen to test the tolerance of Londoners for free speech, a test she says Walker has flunked.
"She pays lip service to free speech," Ambrogio said.
Talk about venomous, thy name is Walker. She is so tolerant, I bet she supports the bash Israel week, but Coulter is the problem? Maybe Walker should look in the mirror.
Lefties, they only believe in free speech for themselves!

You keep forgetting that Man Coulter called for the bombing of the NY Times and the killing of a supreme court justice. BUT...IOKIYAC...right?
Personally, I find Coulter to be repulsive.
But considering that one of SoQue's cohorts once threatened me with a gun, and another one once asked why somebody doesn't kill me, I find it impossible to take him seriously -- as per usual.
If that is the case, PR, call the police. Or stop lying.
