So, Where's Iggy??
It appears that the Liberal leader is in Vancouver enjoying the Olympics. Shouldn't he be in Ottawa holding fake meetings with Liberal supporters disguised as experts?
Like the CEO of TD Canada Trust? Maybe if us little peons started emailing the bank and withdrawing our meager little savings we might have an impact. We transferred our mortgage a few years ago to a Credit Union and we couldn't be happier. They actually know our names and are happy to have our business.
Meanwhile our Prime Minister is in Haiti seeing what Canada can do to help.
Rabid lefties just can't give our Prime Minister any credit, and frankly the MSM are looking like fools by continuing with this "not working" BS when Iggy is in Vancouver, "not working".

Can you say "photo-op"? It should be obvious even to your little group.
What do the lawyers at TD think about you using their registered trademark?
He went back to Ottawa Monday, I read. Sunday, he watched speed skating.
Libby Davis cheered on the protesters, as usual.
The opposition stated without the Parliament sitting "they are NOT" at work.
Photo Op for Jan 25 flying 100k?
Staging partisan photop sessions on Hill 200k?
Junkets to Olympics for photo ops 100k?
Having Liberals act as a background bobbing the head in disagreement with Liberal leader speaking priceless!
Dalton is bobbing no and Iffy is stating yes. Lovely disconnect.
The Ottawa Press Gallery realized their bosses were tired of the latest stunt and has ordered the opposition to find something new to bark at the moon with.
Perhaps attending events demanding more authentic French wine will be the next issue for the Liberal party.
CBC was in Vancouver asking people on the street about the make up of Canada's men's hockey team and, as you'd expect of Canadian hockey fans, everybody had advice.
Then they asked Iggy for his two cents and he said "I never second-guess the coach.".
In other words, "I don't have a friggin' clue.".
Harper's appearance in Haiti is nothing more than crass political grandstanding. Only Harper would use a disaster like this one to try and save his skin. Pathetic.

Ah yes, those oh so original Liberal talking points.
Pathetic.

Carolyn: Well, you are entitled to your opinion - that is your right. It is too bad that it is misguided, blindly partisan and totally incorrect. But, hey, you're entitled to have one, just the same.
I'll bet dollars to donuts if he hadn't gone, you'd be calling him heartless and cold for not caring about Haitians. I just love you Harper haters - you're just a barrel of laughs the way you flip flop all over the map.
And, if Ignatieff had gone, you would have said....????? Right, political grandstanding. Sure. You betcha. Wink wink.
Carolyn - you are the reason we on the side of intelligence think of LPC supporters as idiots.
A photo-op would have been the PM in Haiti minutes after the quake moving bolders (read sand bags EsQue).
"Click" ... gotcha Crass Carolie'n ... Pathetic
Caroline and Southern Quebec, same old tired accusations.
Stephen Harper is the Prime Minister, get over it.
It looks like the cynics are out in full force, questioning Harper's reasons for going to Haiti. Strangely, the CTV reporters didn't pick up on this "photo op" talking point.
Hmmm, could it be that the media is starting to cut Harper one inch of slack on his motives for doing something ?!? Say it ain't so Donolo.
Meanwhile, the PPG was doing what they do best a few days ago-- operating as a pack of coyotes who have cornered weak prey ... I've posted this before, but it's worth watching ...
The PPG asking Iggy six consecutive questions in a scrum, Feb 10th, re the redacted detainee documents. Iggy getting increasingly frustrated, and finally Susan Delacourt coming to his rescue, changing the subject with a softball question.
Watch it Here ... Fast forward to the 24 minute mark.
It's way too early to tell, but let's see if the media pendulum has reached it's high point on it's leftward arc, and is swinging back towards the right.
"Harper's appearance in Haiti is nothing more than crass political grandstanding"
Wow, what bitter, babyish partisanship.
The Haitian government is operating out of a TENT, completely shut down and dysfunctional. The commitment to build a temporary government house is "grandstanding"?
No, I would say you are very silly in that assertion and completely blinded by hatred. I find very few of you people actually offer up any evidence to back up your cranky verbiage. For example, I doubt that you have any personal experiences with the Prime Minister and his charitable nature, his love of children, nature and so many, many things.
I assert that if the Prime Minister was REALLY looking for an opportunistic PHOTO-OP, he would have simply stayed in Vancouver, instead he is doing HIS job by being in Haiti.

Sorry L, He is still in Vancouver "supporting (!) our athletes".
Check out Ignatieff's blog posted here on the Liberal website. According to them he spent Monday in Vancouver and watched the pairs final on Monday night.
I guess the Liberal Party would know where he was - right ?
When Chretien was PM and Manitoba experienced a horrendous flood, he flew out there for a photo op: he made it look like he was sandbagging with some of the volunteers. In fact, he blew in, posed with the sandbag and then blew out. I'll bet Carolyn saved that photo and kissed it every night because, gosh, that Chretien was such a hero. Imagine, gosh, the PM going and heaving sandbags like everyone else. He sure does care. Gosh.
Carolyn - people like you make me snicker and, at the same time, shudder because you not only vote, you reproduce. The latter is scarier than you can imagine.

No, but flying there, a 1400km trip, to make said announcement is "grandstanding". This from the guy who couldn't be bothered travelling 1400 metres to visit the GG to prorogue Parliament.
But I'm glad we're helping there. Harper is simply doing what any of our PMs would have done.
"No, but flying there, a 1400km trip, to make said announcement is "grandstanding"."
Announcement? I think 'assessment' is a more appropriate word.
Our spending 12 millions dollars to provide them a functioning government setting needs to be taken seriously by the Haitian government officials and who better to assess and send the message that messing around won't be tolerated?
The plane was full of supplies as well making for a less than cushy experience for the journalists...
Sorry for the link choice....
