Liberals, Bringing Out Their Politically Dead!

Okay some of these politicians are still alive physically, but politically they are dead. There was a big political rally for the Liberals in Edmonton today, sadly, I was busy spring cleaning and couldn't make it. I did go to Global Edmonton to see what I had missed, and was stunned that SO many Liberals showed up to see ex-PM Paul Martin, and Global has the pictures to prove it for you non-believers!

Can you see the crowds? I bet Laurie Hawn the Conservative MP is shaking in his ex-military boots!
Here we have ex-PM Paul Martin and the Liberal candidate cutting into the crowd to get their hot dogs!

What a success, one Liberal supporter shows up to see the ex-PM Paul Martin, Mary is sure to win this riding! HA! I drive through the riding every weekday, Laurie Hawn is winning the sign war, and I see more NDP signs than Liberal signs. I don't think Conservative MP Laurie Hawn needs to worry too much. I am sure that all 50 people who showed up to listen to Iggy and Martin are going to "rise up" any minute now!

This poster says it perfectly:

Iggy screamed "rise up rise up " and sure enough out came Jean and Paulie. Hey Iggy , could you bring back my sainted grandmothers while your raising the dead ?
Bringing out the politically dead. Jean and Paul, should be great ambassadors to a dying party.

Elections Canada is doing everything they can to help call out the dead, or in this case, not eligible to vote. Can Elections Canada get anymore ridiculous, it would be funny but they are endangering our democracy.

CALGARY -- Questions are hovering over Elections Canada’s voter registry following the recent distribution of information cards to untold numbers of those ineligible to even cast a ballot.

Elections Canada officials couldn’t provide an assurance illegal voters possessing the cards could be vetted at ballot stations.

Mizue Asai, a Japanese emigrant who has lived in Calgary for nine years, was perplexed upon receiving a notice which indicated she is registered to vote, in spite of the fact she is not a Canadian citizen.

It is “at least” the second she’s received since living in Canada, said the 39-year-old.

Under the Canada Elections Act, only Canadian citizens 18 years or older qualify to vote.

“I’ve always thought it was strange because I know I can’t vote,” Asai said.

News reports state other foreigners living in Calgary have received the cards, which indicate their designated voting station.

Elections Canada's reaction?

Saulnier said there are procedures in place to ensure non-citizens are prevented from casting ballots.

“If they show up at a poll to vote, they are going to have to prove who they are, where they live, so there is an opportunity to ensure the person who is going to vote is legitimately entitled to vote,” he said.

In the end, the real deterrents are the legal punishments, which include fines, jail time or both, he said.

“If they choose to vote knowingly, and they’re not qualified to do so, then they’re liable for an offence under the electoral act,” he said.

Another Elections Canada employee was surprised by the revelations surrounding voter information cards.

“In all honesty, I’ve never come across that. Mind you, even if there was only one instance of it, that’s too many,” he said.

Elections Canada is lying. If you show up with a voters card, you don't usually have to show any other documents, and they would certainly NOT know that you are not a Canadian citizen. The card means that you are on the voters list, and your address will be listed, they take the card, cross off your name, and away you go to vote. Elections Canada allows a "mob vote" to stand even though it broke two or three rules, and now this? Something stinks.

Iggy is going to get this guy to "rise up" next!

Liberals, bringing out their politically dead!

When The Media Gets Hysterical....

You know the Conservatives are on the right track! All Bob Fife could blab about was how reporters were getting no respect from the PM, do they even think for a moment, that they have done nothing to deserve that respect?

Are they so clueless that they think they can endlessly bleat about knuckle dragging Conservatives being wrong headed, and still expect unlimited access to our Prime Minister? The french reporters are the worse, their questions are always confrontational and disrespectful. So is the CBC reporter, who ever he is, he doesn't have much upstairs does he? The media constantly attaching him, might make our Prime Minister just a little bit reserved about granting questions to those who are out to crucify him for anything he says.

I have noticed that a lot of new poster's are showing up on the National Post website, all of them lefties, they distort the comments and take over. This shows how desperate they have become to gain power. They spread lies endlessly on every website. It is time for Conservatives to fight back. Sign up to the CBC, CTV, Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, and National Post sites, and even if you don't comment, give a thumbs up for the Conservative posters you agree with, and a thumbs down for the lefty comments you disagree with. It's a form of protesting that is easy to do, and will reduce your blood pressure, plus it is only week one of the election, anything can happen. You can bet the media will get some "scandalous" material from the civil servants or unions, who are determined to create the three headed monster that is the coalition.

A perfect example of lefty media supporters, is this article by Ivison. It is a total fluff piece about how cuddly Iggy has become. It must be that Conservative blue sweater! Why wasn't Iggy wearing a red sweater? Is he scared of associating himself with Liberals?

Mr. Ignatieff has said things he probably would like to take back – notably the admission in an interview with the National Post that he would not support an unchanged Conservative budget, which suggests we may have to do this all over again soon, if the Tories are returned with a minority.

Yet to this point, none of it is sticking. For a man with Russian and Scottish ancestry, he is having the luck of the Irish – the road is rising up to meet him and he has the wind at his back.

The wind is going to send him right back to Haaarvard, where he belongs. The road is rising up to meet him and he is going to get a severe case of road rash! Ivison has his head so far up Iggy's butt, I wonder how he can still write a biased column like this piece of junk without air.

Iggy did declare himself a Democrat from his heels to the bottom of his toes, but of course the media made no mention of that little faux pas. Aren't Democrats Americans, not Canadians? Why didn't the media pounce all over Iggy the American for declaring himself a Democrat? I guess they didn't want to reinforce the truth about Iggy being more American than Canadian.

I am tired of the press oozing their support for the Liberals. I am tired of the Liberal backroom boys determining how we should vote. They are so starved for power they are starting to make mistakes.

Jack Layton goes to Quebec and tells them that he will shut down the Alberta oilsands.

NDP Leader Jack Layton is vowing to cut the fossil fuel subsidies for Alberta's oilsands and funnel that money instead into paying for clean power initiatives.

Layton made the announcement after a campaign stop in Montreal, where he toured an environmentally friendly business park.

Funny he didn't mention that on his Edmonton campaign stop! I wonder why? Did he seriously think in this day of instant messaging that Alberta would not hear about this? Can I say he is an idiot or is that too violent? To make matters worse for the lefties, Iggy joins in the coalition:

Coalition partner Iggy agrees with him.

Obviously Iggy was out of the country when Trudeau decimated Alberta and stole over 120 Billion dollars from us to give Quebec a blow job with our money. Quebec is still getting that blow job, but they are not coming due to dysfunctional socialist ideology. It is making them impotent and powerless. As a historian, maybe, just maybe, Iggy would understand the poop he just stepped into with one little tweet, or is that a twit?

Maybe they should have checked with their American idol, Obama, before they started slagging Alberta, again.

WASHINGTON — The heated policy debate over Alberta’s oil sands took centre stage Thursday in the U.S. Congress, with Republican lawmakers claiming President Barack Obama has “failed to act” swiftly enough to ensure a secure long-term supply of Canadian crude.

A day after Mr. Obama said the U.S. will need “steady and stable and reliable” Canadian oil as it slashes overall imports over the next decade, GOP lawmakers said there was an “urgent” need for the U.S. to further tap Canada’s market by approving Calgary-based TransCanada’s $7-billion Keystone XL pipeline from Alberta.

Let the Greens scream, and the other lefty socialists faint, their hero, Obama, is going to support the Alberta oil sands. As my lefty trolls would say....HA HA HA HA HA!!! Priceless!

It's Time For A Conservative Majority If You Love Canada!

More scandal by the media, they refuse to tell the real truth!

On Wednesday, Agop Evereklian, the Tory candidate in Pierrefonds-Dollard, was forced to replace his campaign manager, Giulio Maturi. The move followed an article in Le Devoir noting that Mr. Maturi was back at work for the Conservatives after being shunned by the party when he was linked to a municipal fundraising scandal.
Interesting, the reporter, doesn't even bother to goggle who caused the problem for Maturi. It turns out that it was a Paul Martin Liberal!

Benoit Labonté was an aide to former Liberal PM Paul Martin. That's right, he's a Liberal. So I guess the media don't think it's worth mentioning. The thing is he seems to have a somewhat shady past himself. The media has run with his allegations, despite the denial from Mr. Maturi that it ever occurred. But what of Benoit Labonté? Well, you would think the media might mention this, no?

"Montreal opposition leader Benoît Labonté is denying allegations he had dealings with the construction entrepreneur at the centre of the city's water-meter scandal.

The allegations were reported Friday by RueFrontenac.com, the online news site written by the locked-out journalists from the French-language daily Journal de Montreal.

Labonté met with Tony Accurso in March 2008 while preparing to launch his bid to lead the Vision Montreal party, the website said, citing anonymous sources.

The website alleges Labonté eventually asked for and received more than $100,000 in donations from Accurso."
Maybe our reporters need to go back to school, they will not qualify for the Liberal goody give away of $4,000, but they seriously need to learn to do more than spout their opinions.

Like this reporter:
However, the news that Mr. Ignatieff will not support a Tory budget will bolster Stephen Harper’s claim that Canadians should give him a majority to end the parliamentary logjam. It will come as welcome news to the Prime Minister, who has been on the defensive since the election campaign began.
By contrast, Mr. Ignatieff has been cruising, visibly relaxed and confident. At an event in Vancouver, the Liberal leader said he couldn’t remember having as much fun in politics as he’s had in the past few days on the campaign trail.
Maybe Iggy is relaxed because he knows he is going back to Haaarvard soon and won't have to worry about what happens to Canada when Bob Rae forms a coalition government.

Watch this to see, if PM Harper is defensive. He is relaxed, and rocks the house. All his venues have been full to capacity and beyond, as CTV reported about the Montreal rally. Maybe the reporter should stop making things up.

H/T to Dr. Roy for this video:

Finally, information on the Liberal candidate for Edmonton-Strathcona, a 20 year old college student is set up as a sacrificial lamb so the Liberals can at least say they ran a candidate. Linda Duncan won last time because the Liberals and NDP formed a coalition to defeat the Conservative MP, it worked last time and they are thinking it will work again. How desperate are the Liberals to be sending a 20 year old student into the lion's den of politics? Seriously.

EDMONTON — A 20-year-old Grant MacEwan University student appointed to run for the Liberals in Edmonton-Strathcona will have to take on a well-funded Conservative candidate but also an unofficial “Liberals for Linda” campaign.
This time university will be done, so no lefty university votes for Linda, plus she has not been a professor since 2008, so she has no students to help her campaign. The Conservatives are throwing all their resources at that riding, it should go blue.

Interesting tidbit, my office mate told me last election that the Liberals were going to vote for Linda in that riding, and just the other day I said it looked like a Conservative majority or coalition, and he said, "yes, and the Conservatives will not get a majority". I guess the Liberals are happy with the coalition option. So, let's get out there and make that majority happen! We have to fight the Liberals, NDP, Greens, Bloc and the media. We are also fighting an unofficial "Liberals for any Liberal/NDP/Green/Bloc campaign" .

Maybe Iggy is "relaxed" because he finally made the decision to escape Canada and politics, while PM Harper is "defensive" because he actually cares about what happens TO Canada. One thinks Canada is made up of peasants who aren't listening to him, the other knows how precious Canada is, and wants to improve it, so it can shine.

I will take PM Harper over some American faux PM any day, and I will fight hard for my country, Canada. This is not a game, this is about a takeover of Canada by radical leftists who want power, and could care less about what happens to Canada. This is one of the most important elections Canada has ever had. If they get away with this, the Conservatives will never gain power again. DO NOT let the media sell Canada down the river, like they did to the US by getting Obama elected.

It's time for us to stand up for Canada, again! Our only chance is a Conservative majority. Then we can make sure riding redistribution happens and funding by taxpayers to political parties becomes a thing of the past. It's time for a Conservative majority if you love Canada!

The Three Retirees Force An Unwanted Election.

The last kick at the cat for our three retiring opposition leaders. Larry, Curly and Moe want to retire, so they decide to go out in a blaze of glory. They get together and form a coalition of losers, it is their last chance to take power.

Jack has health issues (get better) and Mulclair is breathing down his neck waiting to take over. Duceppe wants to get into Quebec provincial politics and Iggy just wants to go home to Haaarvard. So they collude together to bring down the Conservative government, that they hate. They grab onto the first misstep they can, the Bev Oda "NOT" incident. They blow it out of proportion, and with a majority on the committee claim that the Conservatives are in "contempt" of Parliament.

This is the trigger they needed to pretend that an election was necessary. It is so slimy, so blatant, that Canadians are disgusted with their behaviour. Notice how the poll numbers are increasing for the Conservatives. Contrary to what the opposition think, voters are NOT stupid.

It makes for good sound bites on TV, but it will fail to convince voters. Iggy says no coalition if he gets a minority, well duhhh. He needs to say no coalition if PM Harper gets a minority. We are waiting.

Why would a party with polls showing them at 25% and dropping force an election? The only reason for them to do it would be if they had an agreement with the NDP and Bloc to form the next government. Unelected Liberal leader Iggy wants to become the unelected PM. This is so disgusting on so many levels that I can't believe anyone could vote for his party.

The obvious solution to prevent the takeover of our government by socialists and separatists is to give the Conservatives a majority.

Our Parliament has been dysfunctional because the opposition refuse to vote with the Conservatives. It's time to give the opposition the boot. This election is going to get very nasty, because lefties themselves are unhappy, dissatisfied people. I don't even think they like themselves. For example we have a National Post commenter :

NWOBOB

What we really want to hear about endlessly is the coalition that is so vivid in Mr Harpers imagination.
Why would we want to hear more about that nasty contempt of parliament thing, just because it is the first time it has ever happened in Canada, (or for that matter, the Commonwealth) ; why it's just so embarrassing .

In 2008 the opposition MP's ALL signed an agreement to form a coalition to take over power from the elected Conservative party. Everyone in every opposition riding needs to ask their MP whether they still stand by their signature on an agreement that is still active. Get their response on camera. If they did it once, they will do it again.

The three retiring Amigos should be ashamed of themselves for forcing an election no one wants to feed their egos.

A Conservative MAJORITY is the only solution.

BAN All Tankers And Ships!

Seriously, let's not discriminate here, all ships are a danger to the environment, and planes and off shore oil wells, and Liberals.

Let me get this straight. Tankers from Saudi Arabia are allowed to deliver oil to Quebec and Ontario, and it's not a problem, but tankers taking Alberta/Sask oil to China and India is a big no no? Is Iggy serious? Send Canadian money for blood oil out of the country, and DO NOT allow Canadians to sell their oil? This might get them some green and separatist votes, but will kill western Canada, the only engine supporting Ontario and Quebec.

Maybe we should lobby for a law that restricts the east from importing oil from other countries? That would be fair. If the west can't export our own oil to anyone we want, kind of like our farmers can't sell their own wheat, why should the east be able to export their wheat to anyone they want AND import oil from any country they want? Kind of unbalanced there don't you think?

Why doesn't the east buy our oil? The only way we could get them to do that was when Trudeau imposed the National Energy Program on the west so that we HAD to sell our oil to the east at 85% of the world price. It still ticks westerners off.

Iggy, maybe you should check with Mo Strong on this policy, you see, China has invested heavily in the oil sands and I'm pretty sure they expect to get their oil delivered by tanker to them. It's called the free market.

Even lefty Martin of the NP thinks it's a bad policy.

Don Martin: Fear behind Ignatieff’s oil tanker policy

While oil tankers now prowl Canada’s east and west coasts and roll up the St. Lawrence River to Montreal without the public giving it a second thought, Ignatieff’s plan would banish tankers from a safer port in northern B.C. and kill much-needed jobs and investment in the region.

Ignatieff’s vow, should he ever become prime minister, singles out for a ban one vital link — between the oil sands and China’s voracious energy thirst — that would give the oil sands a competitive alternative to an America that views the resource as dirty energy to be priced at a discount.

Environmentalists will never be happy until we are all living in caves, and it appears that's where the Liberals want westerners. Talk about divisive politics, the Liberals have that down pat.

Stop Paul Martins coal ships too then Iggy. Coal is a bigger pollution problem then oil and gas, but the Liberals are quiet about that. Shut down those coal mines, shut down the oil sands (which Iggy says he supports, but not allowing tankers would shut development down), shut down forestry, shut down the asbestos industry, keep western farmers chained to the Canadian wheat board, stop exporting potash, stop diamond mining, the list is endless.

Funny how it's the oil sands that lefties are targeting again. If the US thinks the oil sands are "dirty" and stop importing, then China and India are our next best markets, but no tankers means no oil exports. It's ridiculous. It's ill thought out. It's typical lefty policy, support the special interest groups and give no thought to Canadians and the jobs this policy would kill. Most of all, it is divisive. Shame.

Skanky MSM and Opposition

The hound dogs are howling into the dark again. All attack dogs are out in full force and digging up anything they can to discredit the Conservatives. The problem is that these attacks are getting embarrassing for the MSM and the opposition.

It is really degrading for the opposition to keep on attacking Helena for something she had no control over. The MSM has come out of the closet to show their true liberal bias. It makes them stink to high heaven. When it was revealed that Pablo got questions from a media hack, it barely made a ripple, it was a one day wonder at best. The media has not questioned Pat Martin about his assistant leading the U of Zeros protest against Ann Coulter, why not? She was actually foaming at the mouth, now that is a radical.

The attacks against Helena have been relentless and they wonder why women don't run for Parliament? Hedy "burning crosses" is a roll model to young girls, but Helena who got upset at the Charlottetown airport on her birthday, is a demon? Look, I love PEI, it is a great place with very friendly people, we might even retire there, but if Wayne Easter is representative of who PEI wants to send to Parliament, I'm not sure I even want to buy PEI potatoes. What have the federal Liberals ever done for PEI? Lots of promises, no action.

The opposition are proving themselves to be very small people by their relentless attacks on Helena. The Conservatives need to start firing back or they will lose my respect. I have always thought that Conservatives treat their female members as equals, I am beginning to have my doubts.

If we look at the issue, Helena had a hissy fit at the PEI airport, she apologized. That should be the end of the story. Unfortunately the Liberal party needs a scandal to bring down the Conservatives, and so they get their media attack dogs to keep this story alive in the hopes that something will stick to the Conservatives.

They are sickening and that is why they are sinking in the polls. Ganging up on a female is pretty sad. Maybe Iggy can explain how what a husband does reflects on the wife, like his leaving his wife and family for the "love of his life". Nice morals Iggy.

So, Where's Iggy??

It appears that the Liberal leader is in Vancouver enjoying the Olympics. Shouldn't he be in Ottawa holding fake meetings with Liberal supporters disguised as experts?

Like the CEO of TD Canada Trust? Maybe if us little peons started emailing the bank and withdrawing our meager little savings we might have an impact. We transferred our mortgage a few years ago to a Credit Union and we couldn't be happier. They actually know our names and are happy to have our business.

Meanwhile our Prime Minister is in Haiti seeing what Canada can do to help.

Rabid lefties just can't give our Prime Minister any credit, and frankly the MSM are looking like fools by continuing with this "not working" BS when Iggy is in Vancouver, "not working".

Looking Like Idiots!

Warning some of these videos contain graphic content! Do not have your children near you when viewing these!

Stand up FOR Canada, that's what we were doing just a year ago.

Notice all the Canadian flags and yikes, they are singing "Oh Canada" too. Look it's the anti-coalition rallies from just a year ago.

Stand up TO Harper, is the new cry from the lefties. Did you see the NDP manufactured signs? Did you hear them sing "Oh Canada"? Me neither. Iggy, and Layton showed their partisan selves by showing up at the protests. You didn't see PM Harper show up at any protests about the coalition, he has more class and more sense.

The MSM pushed this issue with everything they had, and it was a big flop. Their influence is slipping away, and they are too stupid to understand that they are killing their jobs with their biased reporting. So be it!

Watch this if you like Craig Oliver. Oh by the way Oliver baby, the anti-coalition protests were in January too, and they were bigger. It's all a big manufactured crisis by the MSM and their favorite buddies the Liberals. Too bad Liberals talk a good game, but have no idea how to actually get anything done.

I am sick and tired of our biased media. So I want to start targeting their advertisers, because without them, they can not survive. Coors beer has to go, buy Brewhouse instead, it's only a $1 a beer (in Alberta) and my hubby says it tastes just as good. If everyone stops buying Coors for just one month, they will get the message, especially if we email them as to why they are losing revenues.

Lefties are yapping about prorogation of Parliament being a threat to our democracy. So let's compare and contrast. This is something our lefties can not understand, people actually giving their lives to try and get democracy. This prorogue protest is so juvenile compared to the people who are really fighting for their chance to be free.

Real people are fighting with everything they have to gain freedom, while our lefties turn a blind eye. Feminists should be rushing to Afghanistan and Haiti to help, but they are too busy chanting "My body, my choice" to hear the pain of Afghanistan women who are getting acid thrown in their faces. Feminists are silent about that though, it's not politically correct.

Can Layton, Duceppe, and Iggy now support the budget without looking like idiots? Or will one of the coalition parties fall on their sword for the other two parties? Funny how none of the people rallying were calling for an election. If this government is soooo bad, bring them down, let's have an election!!!

Why weren't we hearing this chant?

What do we want?
An election NOW!
What do we need?
An election NOW!

HA! Chickens.

UPDATE: It appears that Edmonton's rally was organized by the NDP. Eco-nut Linda Duncan was front and center with her support group, troll Gayle included.

“The last time (Harper) prorogued a year ago, the reaction was some what different,” said Linda Duncan, NDP MP for Edmonton-Strathcona, who spoke at the rally.

“This time it’s clear to people that it’s an unacceptable act.”

AND......

What's this? Bob Rae is King of the Prorogue?? H/T to Wilson and Blame Crash!

Yikes, I got 10 percented by a Liberal!

Well it seems the Liberals are in desperation mode these days. It looks good on them. First we get this email from the President of the Liberals:

We are told that ample vaccine is available for those people of high risk. Yet, those who are getting seriously ill and dying are not high risk cases, but perfectly healthy people. That's what's caused the surge in demand. They are hearing one thing from the feds, but seeing quite another on the ground. That is what is scaring people and fueling a great deal of distrust of the government.

The Liberals are using H1N1 to scare people. Can they get any lower, using people's fear of this flu to try and score political points?

The attached article "The Broken Contract" was written by our leader Michael Ignatieff in response to the Bush government's utter failure to rise to the obvious challenge to public security, order and health presented by Hurricane Katrina. Is the H1N1 pandemic the "Hurricane Katrina" of our own laissez-faire, fend for yourself government? Read the attached. Reflect on the analogous situation we face. Consider the priorities and values that underlie our own government's response to the threat to public health that this pandemic represents. Recognize that Mr. Harper's government has utterly failed to stand with Canadians and for Canadians in a matter of clear and unequivocal public duty.

Whatever happens, let us fervently hope and pray that the threat to general health and the risk of loss of life flowing from this government's incredible irresponsibility is contained to the absolute minimum.

Sick little puppies, fear mongering in the extreme. Are there any adults running the Liberal clown show? Written by our (dear) leader Iffy, sounds kind of creepy. Yes master, we will follow you no matter what you have said about torture in the past. Why didn't he mention the Bush response to 9/11? Why Katrina? Guess he is just parroting his American cousins.

SCHIEFFER: What do you do to correct this kind of thing? You’re told one thing, you’d have so much and you didn’t. These are the kinds of things we heard after Katrina during a previous administration.

Not a single original idea in any Liberal head.

In my mailbox I found a Liberal 10 percenter, yapping about the senate. Here in Alberta we have elected Senators, not like in Ontario. Ontario Liberal Alan Tonks picked the wrong issue to hit us Albertans with, clearly he has no understanding of what makes us tick. The desperation is clearly taking over the Liberals. They are floundering with no leadership and throwing everything at the voters hoping something will stick. Here is the 10 percenter:

1. Did Stephen Harper deceive Canadians when he said he would cease patronage appointments to the Senate?

I'm trying to remember when he said that, maybe Tonks could give us a reference to that statement? As far as I recollect, PM Harper said he wanted an elected Senate, and he would not appoint any new Senators until the provinces elected Senators, only Alberta has done so to date. Hey, Liberal MP Tonks, get yourself a list of good Senator candidates, and maybe a Liberal will get a place in the Senate.

2. Is Stephen Harper justified in appointing a string of Conservative cronies to the Senate after saying he wouldn't do so?

Hello Tonks, you sent this to Albertans, do you really know how mad we still are about Mitchell being given a Senate seat over all our elected Senators in Waiting? A failed Liberal leader in Alberta got a seat in the Senate over the people we had voted for, it was a disgrace and he is there until 2026 and the people of Alberta have no way of getting rid of him or any other Liberal appointments. Suck it up Tonks, PM Harper is doing what he needs to do to balance the Senate.

3. Who do you trust more to restore integrity to government? Michael Ignatieff and the Liberals or Stephen Harper and the Conservatives.

Ha, that is just too funny, Liberals and integrity? Is Tonks so out of touch with Canadians that he doesn't understand that we voted the Liberals OUT because they had no integrity.

I suggest you respond to his 10 percenter in a very polite manner at the on-line address supplied

Hunter News: At Home And At Work!

Life would be easy if I could watch news and read blogs all day, but that doesn't happen around here, so I thought you might like my perspective of politics, at home and at work.

Get up 6:45 when first guide dog arrives, wake kids up, hubby makes lunches, leaves for work. I check on my blog and delete any rude comments. Dress before second guide dog arrives around 7:30. Get kids breakfast, and out the door we go by 8:00, two kids, three guide dogs and me. Drop kids off at school, drop guide dogs at school, get to work by 9:00 if I'm lucky. Work, check blog at lunch, work, go home.

Get supper ready, monitor homework, check blogging tories, maybe National Post. Watch 6:00 local news on Global, read some blogs, talk to hubby about our day. Send kids and hubby off to bed, tune into Fox news, and sit down to write my blog. So what did I learn today at home and at work? What was the hot topic?

At home: Hubby and I are seriously considering voting Wildrose. My hubby hates politics, so when he tunes in, it's a huge development. The feeling around home is that new blood injected into our politics in Alberta has to be a good thing. If nothing else it will wake up the complacent PC's. We need more information about Wildrose before we commit to voting for them, but neither one of us could remember the name of the PC MLA who represents our voting area, and that is a bad thing. He's invisible, like our MP lately. Taking things for granted can lead to election problems, not for our MP, he is safe, not just because there is no one else to vote for, but because he is at least visible in Ottawa, as the finance committee chairman.

At work: Politics is sometimes discussed, last we heard about anything political was PM Harper singing. Even the Liberals in the office had to admire his performance, though they did it grudgingly. Wildrose was mentioned, most thought they were not a threat. I pointed out how Alberta turns on a dime, like this National Post editorial. It's a wait and see situation here in Alberta, a lot depends on who the Wildrose get to run as candidates.

So, I finally speed read through lots of interesting articles and have about an hour to decide what to blog on, and pull it together, my bed is calling. I have had only minimal contact during the day with the news, especially anything political, and I want to be original not a parrot of other blogs.

My take on the news today? Iffy wears a red sweater and kisses kids (yuck) has been severely under covered and as usual, negative coverage of the Conservatives has been over covered. Don't believe me? Here is what I saw when I finally sat down to read some news online.

First up, my favorite National Post, they cover Iffy at the play school, in his red sweater (creepy):

Next I went to CTV. Funny they seem to have missed the Iggy sweater event, but are busy bashing the Conservatives:

I don't often stray over to the CBC so you will have to forgive me for typing in www.cbc.com, and look where it took me! I can't read Japanese, but I made sure to exclude the lady with no clothes on the sidebar. Too funny! Does CBC know about this?

I finally got to the real CBC, and they are busy Conservative bashing too, and no red sweater guy in sight. You can tell it's the real CBC because of all the Liberal RED.

So the TV networks didn't cover Iffy the red sweater guy on their on-line sites, I don't know if they covered it in their actual network news, because just like 95% of the rest of the population, I just didn't have time to watch, and mostly, I couldn't care.

There you go, the first edition of Hunter's news, at home and at work! HA! That felt good. It's now 11:30 and 6:45 comes very early. So this is Hunter's news, signing off for tonight.

Stephen Harper, An Introvert Growing Into His Rightful Place.

(Okay Laureen is way braver than I would ever be, those horses are huge!)

I met PM Harper some months ago, and I found him to be very easy to talk to in a one on one conversation. I suspect he is most comfortable in that situation. As an introvert myself, I can understand how he feels. My blog gives me a chance to talk to people without having to face a crowded room of people I do not know.

I remember him as the opposition leader coming to Edmonton and giving a speech. He give a very good speech, and helped serve the food, but you could tell he wasn't very comfortable with the whole situation. Laureen fit right in, talked to everyone and held peoples attention with ease. I really admire her. She is the power behind the man. Others have been able to meet him as well and have formed their own opinions of him.

Unnatural politicians

There were gasps across the nation last weekend when the Prime Minister sang a Beatles song in public. Could it really be? Stephen Harper is having fun.

That Harper is quite possibly a human being, capable of experiencing the attendant emotions, is a disorienting revelation for many Canadians. Harper has always been a figure of icy cool -- restrained, private, unapproachable. When he was photographed some years ago sending his children off to school with a handshake, it confirmed for conspiracists that the prime minister was a droid.

The truth is less sensational: Harper is merely an introvert. I figured that out when I met him 15 years ago, after he was first elected to Parliament as the Reform member for Calgary West. I was a graduate student researching political populism, and the 35-year-old Harper, one of the architects of the Reform movement, agreed to speak with me.

We met outside the House of Commons. He was gracious but extraordinarily serious. I don't exude frivolity myself, but Harper is so solemn and sober that I felt like Adam Sandler.

I suspect that PM Harper does not suffer fools easily. He expects his Ministers to know their files and work hard to keep on top of their portfolios. If he was a really tough taskmaster we would have heard grumblings from the backbenchers by now. I hope our Conservative MP's have as much admiration for Stephen Harper as a leader as I do, as a voter.

Lefties go for the empty headed but dynamic speakers like Obama. All platitudes, no action. Look at how many promises the Liberals made to get elected and then promptly forgot about, like the GST, childcare, and especially Kyoto. Big promises, no results.

It doesn't matter who they elect as a leader, no one believes them anymore. No one cares what they think or want anymore, they have no policies and most importantly, they have no morals. They talk about Canadian values, but they have lost contact with actual Canadians, so they have no idea what our values really are. They scoff at Tim Horton's, and fail to realize that all those cars lined up at the Tim Horton's drive thru are typical Canadian voters. They blame their leader and sit on their duffs expecting Canadians to vote for them just because they are Liberals. They want back at the trough so badly, they do not see how we are viewing them. OINK!

Iffy, The Walking Eagle

I am seeing various references to Iggy as the "Walking Eagle" appearing on different blogs. It appears that some people are enjoying this joke from my Friday Night Funnies:

Walking Eagle!!!!

Michael Ignatieff was invited to address a major gathering of the
Indian Nation in B.C. this summer.

He spoke for almost an hour on his future plans for increasing every
First Nation's present standard of living if he were elected Prime
Minister. He assured them he was always urging the present
government to address more of the native community's concerns.

At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribe presented the Ignatieff
with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name - "Walking Eagle".
The proud Ignatieff then departed in his motorcade, waving to the
crowds.

A news reporter later inquired to the group of chiefs of how they
came to select the new name given to Ignatieff. They explained that
Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of shit it can no
longer fly.

Credit for this joke goes to one of my regular posters who sends me jokes for my Friday night funnies all the time. Thank you! Proof of "I"Iffy as a "walking eagle" is provided by two fellow bloggers:

Alberta Aardvark Down in the polls...

And, Dr Roy has the audio as proof that someone is unable to fly because they are a "walking eagle".

Next up we have the ball the Obama's gave for the Peace Prize, or Halloween, I'm not sure which! Don't you love photoshop or was it?

There you go, two American turkeys in one post, and it's not even Thanksgiving in the US yet!

UPDATE: This site is really fun, lot's of photoshopped pictures there.

I Agree With Iggy!

It's time for an election. All my lefty trolls have finally convinced me that it's time for the Harper government to fall. They present such compelling arguments like:

HAHAHAHAHAHA, that I have finally fallen under their spell, or is that spiel?

I agree with Iggy!

Liberals will move to topple Harper government

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff says he will no longer support Stephen Harper's minority government.

In a speech Tuesday to the Liberal caucus, Ignatieff said Harper's time as prime minister, "is over."

"I cannot support this government any further," Ignatieff said to cheers and wild applause, following a meeting with his Liberal caucus, which is on retreat in Sudbury, Ont.

"We will hold Stephen Harper to account and we will oppose his government in Parliament.

This is music to my Conservative ears. Instead of having to wait another year or so for a Conservative majority, we now have Iggy giving it to us on a golden platter. Now this could be my own bias, but remember this post of mine?

Vancouver South 22
Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca 68
Brampton West 231
Welland 300
Edmonton-Strathcona 463
Western Arctic 523
Vancouver Kingsway 745
Brampton-Springdale 773
Burnaby-Douglas 798
Sault Ste. Marie 1111
New Westminster-Coquitlam 1488

Add them up, you get 6522. Less than 7000 votes. The 11 ridings we needed were less than 7000 votes away.

So, what makes the Liberals think they are any closer to winning today than they were with Dion? The only thing that has changed is their leader, now we have 62 year old American Iggy (reminds me of 70+ McCain) on his last quest for some meaning to his life attempting to take power. I say go for it!

Look at how supportive his own people are:

Yikes even Dion appears confused!

Do you see how glassy eyed Liberal Senator Smith looks? Obviously he is in full support. HAHAHAHAHAHA, as my trolls would say.

So, once again, I wholeheartedly support Iggy, he should definitely cause an election this fall. I am behind him every step of the way....to a Conservative majority.

Oh dang, maybe I should keep my mouth shut and let Iggy fail all on his own.

Go Iggy GO!!!!!! Ignore the fact that only 7000 votes are needed by the Conservatives for a majority, and you can bet that Edmonton Strathcona is coming back to the Conservatives from greeny and liberal supported NDP ditsy Linda Duncan.

If Conservatives can't beat these guys, in Strathcona, we are doomed! HA!

Call An Election? What A Stupid Idea!

I get tired of linking to an article from some lefty newspaper so that I can make a point and getting bombarded by lefty trolls. This is a personal blog, and my opinions are mine. You can agree or disagree with what I say, but because of bad behaviour the lefties now have no say. Recently I have had to go on full moderation because those lefty trolls just wanted to disrupt my blog, they had nothing useful to say, except HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I started this blog because I was so disgusted with the Liberals stealing our tax dollars. This is not a fabrication on my part, we all know they stole the money, put it into brown envelopes and gave it to Liberals in Quebec.

So, the lefties try very hard to disrupt our messages. If they dislike something, they will call you a racist. This happened just about daily on my blog, until I was forced to go to comment moderation. That was their goal, to shut me down, to stop my voice. It is not just me, it is every Conservative blogger who stands up for our principles that they hit. Reminds me of ACORN, and union thugs, and that is what they are, thugs.

If you dare disagree with a lefty, like the recent protests in the US about health care, you will be targeted. What is funny is that you can see the thugs in action.

The Obama administration was busy pushing the health care bill through until the first Democrats held town hall meetings, and they got blindsided by the outrage of honest Americans. What did they do? Called in ACORN and union thugs to control the message, but it was too late, people had already seen the anger of everyday Americans. Now, town halls are being controlled by the thugs, and Americans are watching. Funny how the tea parties were brushed off by Obama, supposedly he didn't even know they were happening. Tells you how out of step the ONE really is with the pulse of the nation, no wonder they got blindsided by the health care protests, they have no clue.

Let me get this straight. We're going to get a health care plan shoved down our throats that is written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, signed by a president that also hasn't read it, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's nearly broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

Back at home, the media is all about the next election. We had one in 2004, 2006, 2008 and now they want one in 2009?? Must be because their ratings are so bad that they are hoping an election will give them a ratings boost. Unfortunately for them and Liberals, Canadians are tired of elections.

Iggy is with the puffins, hiding the Liberal droppings. Jacko is trying to rename his socialist party, without mentioning socialist. Lizzy is busy picking out another house in a new riding that she will LOVE, and it will feel like home to her (Where does she get all this money for new homes in new ridings?). Meanwhile, PM Harper is defending our Arctic, meeting with world leaders and getting us out of a recession.

Call an election? What a stupid idea.

Iggy Threatens, Markets Drop!

So, we all know Iggy is threatening an election, over EI. He wants people to work 45 days and get paid for a year. NICE! He has the slackers vote all wrapped up with that one.

Hearing this "threat" the markets fell by over 250 points.

It shows that international markets have no faith in a Liberal government. Oil is on the raise, usually if oil is going up so is the TSX, but today, with the political uncertainty the Liberals unleashed, the markets fell badly after weeks of an upturn.

Liberals stopping the economic recovery in an attempt to gain power. SAD.

Atlantic Canada should be enraged! Iggy obviously doesn't understand the problems our fishing industry faces. Lobsters are selling for pennies a pound, how can they survive? They do not want charity from the Liberals, they want real support for their markets. We are planning a lobster party in support of PEI lobster fishermen. How about the Liberals?? No mention even by Wayne Easter, PEI Liberal MP, he is too busy with making sure hogs are protected. Shame on PEI, the guy is an idiot, you have better people to represent you than this brainless wonder.

Did you know that the Conservatives missed getting a majority by around 9000 votes? Think about that, 9001 more votes would have lead to a Conservative majority, and stopped this ridiculous, an election if necessary, but not necessarily an election BS from the lefties.

There is a coalition of the left, but they are hiding it. If the Liberals win a minority, who are their natural supporters? The NDP and the Bloc. Both will demand huge amounts of money to keep them onside. Quebec is a blood sucking province that the Liberals are pandering to, meaning that they will suck more money out of Ontario and Alberta to gain power.

An election, I don't think so! If they fail to count properly on Friday, election it is, and the Conservatives are going to remind the voters about the coalition attempt to take power. Democracy denied, or democracy perverted.

What CTV Failed To Cover!

The MSM is busy supporting the Liberals, so much so that they showed only what was favorable to the opposition during Question Period. I just happened to capture Lisa in a huge smack down of Goodale. Of course the MSM didn't show this, so make sure you watch Goodale getting his due. Hiding behind her skirts...it would be funny if it wasn't so serious.

And, for all you lefties japping about Lisa being insensitive towards cancer patients, her brother Colin MacCormack, died at 37 because of lung cancer. YOU STUPID LEFTY JERKS!

I want every MP in Parliament to stand up and apologize to her for their insensitivity towards her brother, a cancer victim. I want every journalist who condemned her, to write an article about how punishing it must have been for her to lose her brother to cancer.

How rewarding it must be for her to think that she can help other cancer victims, by getting the 57 year old Chalk River reactor back up and running. No wonder she thought it was challenging.

You sick little opportunists, making her a target of your own failures. Goodale failed to get the Maple reactors running, and he stands in the house and condemns Lisa for trying to fix what the Liberals were unable to do in over 13 years?

PM Harper was right, it is cheap politics, but that is the only type of politics the Liberals/NDP/Bloc know. The MSM is just as responsible for this mess. CTV was more interested in a "got you" story than ethics. They knew that they had to be careful, that's why they consulted their lawyers.

Apologize? The opposition needs to apologize to Lisa, for the smear job. Funny how the incompetent aide has been lost in the feeding frenzy that is the opposition. What would her Liberal fund raising Father say, if the lazy, slack a$$ reporters even bothered to hunt him down and ask him a question.

Lisa did nothing wrong. Her aide lost a "secret" file at CTV, and now we find out she lost a tape in a bathroom. She is the problem, but not one reporter is interviewing her, is that because Iggy thinks a 27 year old is too tender to be fired? In Alberta this week a 14 year old killed two people, randomly, but a 27 year old doesn't understand that one of her responsibilities is keeping track of a binder and a tape?

For $120,000 plus pension, I would like to apply for the communications job that has just been vacated, I can attest to the fact that I am a Conservative, and I know how to keep track of documents.

Hey Iggy, Tough Guy...

Maybe you should be talking to your American contacts about this, not Canadians.

Ignatieff warns U.S. of 'Buy American' backlash

Bradley Bouzane, Canwest News Service

What a misleading headline! I thought Iggy was in the US talking to his buddies, turns out he was here in Canada and I doubt very much that anyone in the Obama crowd was listening to Iggy tough talking.

Ignatieff, speaking at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities annual conference in Whistler, B.C., said the new legal restriction on U.S. anti-recession spending -- which dictates that none of the stimulus cash can be spent outside the United States -- threatens to undermine the Canada-U.S. trading relationship in both directions.

"We need to remind the Americans that we've got a multibillion-dollar municipal and provincial procurement market in this country," Ignatieff told the municipal delegates. "Americans have unfettered access to it right now, but if they shut down their markets, there will be consequences."

There will be consequences? Like what Iggy? Are you going to post another picture of yourself with Obama in Times Square, but this time you will be shaking your fist at him? That should do it, not.

Of course you then have to read the comments. Some people suffer so badly from HDS (Harper Derangement Syndrome) that they live in an alternate universe:

Bill W, Sunday, Jun 7, 2009

It's a sad day when the Leader of the Opposition is the one defending Canada when our Prime Minister is vacationing in Bermuda.

This guy doesn't even realize that PM Harper was in France this weekend right along with Obama, for the D-Day ceremonies. (Or he was being sarcastic and did too good a job!) I bet PM Harper actually talked to Obama about the protectionist issue. The media won't mention that. Funny, the Liberal MSM must be torn, they desperately want to cover everything Obama does, but they hate having to include PM Harper in their coverage. With Bush they gleefully covered every handshake and pat on the back that they could, all the while telling us how close Bush and "Steve" were, and now they try to hide any contact between Obama and Harper.

The power of blogs is that we can continue posting during the weekends, newspapers rely on media services to cover the news instead. CTV, for example, closes down it's comments on the weekends, leaving us bloggers to take up the slack.

Iggy, tough guy or bully? Too bad the Liberal MSM doesn't ask Iggy why he agreed with invading Iraq, thought torture was okay and runs back to his Harvard elites whenever he needs a shoulder to cry on.

Bully Boys Of The Opposition!

I don't think the opposition leaders thought about how they would look to voters by attacking a female MP. They did it once before with Rona when she was the environment Minister, and got away with it. It didn't work this time. They call PM Harper a bully, well watch this display of male party leaders attacking a female Minister.

Today's question period was disgusting in the outright attacks against Lisa Raitt. Being a typical Conservative woman, she stood up to attack after attack and she put NDP slime ball Mulclair in his place for calling public servants underlings and subservient. Kudos Lisa, you hung in there against all those male opposition leaders, and put them in their place. Garth must be grinding his teeth to little points knowing she will be re-elected in a landslide after this Minister bashing session.

Iggy, Duceppe, and especially Mulclair overstepped the bounds by their vicious attacks on a female MP. Funny how Ruby was in attendance and clapped for everything Iggy said, shouldn't she have been booted from the Liberal party? Not one Conservative MP has attacked Ruby, but female Conservatives are fair game. Also female bloggers, go to my previous post and see how male lefties attacked me and my Conservative posters. It was a virtual swarming.

Lefties target Conservative females, remember Sarah Palin? The problem for lefties is that Conservative women are not brainless, and lefty males just end up looking like bullies.

Bully Boys of the Opposition, shame on you!

Oh, and you progressives who are going to yap at me because I am using my sex as a weapon, well, you started it with your "my body my choice" nonsense. So, as a female I am totally disgusted by the male opposition leaders attack on a female. I suspect that those opposition leaders are insecure little men who can't handle a real woman.

Bully Boys, attack women because they think that will make them powerful and win votes.

50 Billion, Why Does That Sound Familiar?

Something about Liberals and spending EI funds to pay down the deficit....Oh right the Supreme Court ruled on that.

The Supreme Court of Canada says that Ottawa illegally collected employment insurance contributions for three years under the former Liberal government.

The court, though, rejected union claims that Ottawa diverted money from deliberately-over-inflated EI surpluses to balance the federal budget and fund programs.

In a 7-0 decision, the court ruled EI premiums were inappropriately collected between 2002, 2003, and 2005. That's when the Liberal cabinet set EI rates directly without the authorization from Parliament and the employment insurance commission, a violation of the principle of no taxation without representation.

"This means that employment insurance premiums were collected unlawfully, without the necessary legislative authorization," Justice Louis LeBel wrote in the decision.

Now the Liberals are upset about a deficit that is being caused by a world wide recession? This, after they tried to form a coalition government so they could be in control of the spending with the NDP and Bloc?

Chretien raided the EI funds during boom times, 54 billion to be exact. Now in a recession, the Conservative government is spending money on roads and bridges, they are offering unemployed workers the ability to retrain and gain skills, they have a home reno program, all programs aimed at helping Canadians.

The debate over how EI premiums could be used began in the 1990s, when Paul Martin, then-prime minister Jean Chretien's finance minister, brought in new EI legislation.

New rules made it more difficult for laid off workers to be eligible for benefits, but they also brought in new training programs.

Critics had argued the government was raising EI premiums to fund the new programs, while cutting benefits for those out of work.

Well that's Liberals for you, stealing from hard working Canadians (where is that 40 million that went into the Liberal party coffers?), to gain votes.

They are trying it again, fire Flaherty they scream (read the comments, noone is buying it), he is the bad guy they shout, an increased deficit they moan.....DEFICIT! They know Conservatives hate deficits and debt. They know deficit is a dirty word to anyone who is fiscally conservative/liberal, but they fail to understand that a recession changes perceptions.

Run a deficit in good times like the Liberals did until Reform and the IMF clued them in, not a good thing. Run a deficit in bad times, and make no mistake, the media has been telling us this recession is worse than the Great Depression, and people will shrug.

The media is now the Liberals worse enemy, they pumped up the recession so much that Canadians now believe that big spending is necessary. Canadians have seen what Obama is spending in the US, so 34 or 50 or 80 billion spent by Canada just doesn't feel big, after all the US are talking 1.2 TRILLION.

Funny how CTV never covers question period live, but today they were right there covering the first three Liberal questions. Bet the Liberals phoned up their pals in the media and told them they were going to call for Flaherty's head. Too bad that PM Harper made Iggy look like an idiot. How does Iggy respond? He reverts to his American background and calls PM Harper....Nixon? Too funny. Iggy go home to Obama, he has some shoes that need to be shined....oh wait...Iggy was a big Bush supporter, no wonder he is up here now after 34 years. I suspect if you really did the math, Iggy was probably out of the country for more than 45 years of his live, but who's counting?

Taxes And Separation....

It only makes financial sense....My husband and I could have gotten refunds on our income tax of over $6000 it we did separate! Instead we paid even more to the government, but at least our taxes are now filed. We need a total overhaul of our tax system when it encourages couples to separate instead of getting married and raising a family.

Why do they insist that you file your returns separately when they calculate your taxes as a couple? I've even heard of a bunch of university guys living together that have had to sign a declaration that they are not romantically involved! Nutty.

No wonder the Americans were holding tea parties! For a sickening look into the lefty mind, watch this video:

I have never heard of Garofalo but if anyone is racist, she clearly is. She is steeped in leftist propaganda, and seriously needs some mental health intervention.

Interesting that the host let her spew like that without interruption. Who owns MSNBC? Well it appears that would be GE, and at their latest shareholders meeting they got an earful. If you have any GE shares it appears that holding or even buying more might be a good idea. You see cap and trade will be a huge money maker for this company. It's easy to see why they might be very pro-Obama as he supports the cap and trade idea.

"Now, most CEOs would have stopped NBC's corruption a long time ago, but Immelt may be looking for a major payoff," O'Reilly said. "According to reporting by the Washington Examiner, GE is heavily lobbying the Obama administration for bailout money. The company is also pushing for the proposed cap-and-trade program. Apparently GE has set up a joint venture it hopes would manage billions of dollars in cap-and-trade transactions should that corporate carbon tax pass Congress."

NBC has been actively promoting green issues and this revelation by O'Reilly happens to fall during the NBC Universal networks "Green is Universal" week.

"Now think about this ladies and gentlemen - a failing corporation, General Electric might reap billions of dollars if the Feds OK the carbon deal," O'Reilly said. "By the way, GE is already getting taxpayer bailout money for its financial unit. So it's not a stretch to assume Immelt would want to help President Obama as much as possible."

According to O'Reilly, the level of corruption is so big, it stands to make Watergate look small.

"This is obviously a major story - when a powerful corporation, which controls a major part of the American media, may be using its power and the airwaves to influence politics, in order to make money from government contracts," O'Reilly said. "That kind of corruption would make Watergate look small. We hope it is not true."

I can't get the fox news video to embed, try here, go to Fired Up.

This is old news, see this article from 2008.

The General Electric Unit Sale: Obama’s Energy Plan to the Rescue?

In that fox video was a clip about Barney Frank being uninvited to speak at a Washington university function.....hummm.... would that be the same function that Amero-Iggy went too?? I'm not sure, but Iggy is supposed to be meeting with Barney Frank. Is he really that politically tone deaf?
