Liberal Anne McLellan LOVES Red Ali!

If you have doubted what I have been saying about Red Ali being a Liberal, this video will prove conclusively that I am right. Pay attention to how much ex-Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan loves Red Ali. Ever since I watched this video I have been thinking about what she said, and it only confirms that Red Ali was elected by Liberals. (Thank you Stephen for this great video!)

Her last comment about being happy that Red Ali is a female? Well Danielle Smith is a female too! I guess a Liberal female trumps a Conservative female in her eyes. Will she say the same thing if Danielle is elected?

What strikes me as interesting is that Red Ali has been making provincial friends with all the Liberals. Problem is that Dalton, Charest, and Clark are all stuck on stupid, and it appears that Red Ali wants to join their parade. She is obviously only listening to Liberals like Landslide Anne McLellan, a loser:

After toughing out three narrow campaign victories since first coming to power in 1993, Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan lost Monday night to her Conservative opponent in Edmonton Centre, Laurie Hawn.

Anne never understood Alberta, she still doesn't. In the clip she stated that only about 25% of Albertans would support Wildrose, and the polls back her up. Boy does she live in la la land. Most importantly, she didn't even support her own Liberal party, all she could do was praise Red Ali. Your slip is showing Anne!

If that clip doesn't convince you that Alison Redford is a Liberal plant, nothing ever will. Which makes it all the more important to get out and support the Wildrose party.

You have to know that the Liberals are going to vote for her, she gave the teachers 100 MILLION dollars, and the the NDP voters are going to like her support of the teachers union, so she will get their votes too.

The Liberal/NDP supporters got her into power, it is up to us Conservatives to get her out of power. Make no mistake, she is Alberta's Dalton McGuinty. She will take a have province and make it a have not province because of her leftist leanings.

She has done nothing to support our oil sands! Nothing. She has been too busy visiting other provinces to get them to agree to another National Energy Program, that will destroy our economy. She has to go, she is dangerous to our economy and our livelihoods. 

Join Wildrose, start the engine that will drive them to power. We have to, it is imperative that we do so, because Red Ali will destroy everything we have worked so hard to build. If we do not rid ourselves of this Liberal Premier, we will be worse off than the US under Obama.

Seriously, Red Ali has to go, she is not a Conservative, and she is not supportive of the engine of Canada, the oil sands. Boot her, and all of her supposedly Conservative cronies.

A Failure To Stand Up For Alberta, OR Our #$%#$ Lefty Premier

Our new lefty premier just doesn't get Albertans. Is she really from Alberta? Does she not understand what makes Alberta prosperous? Guess not.

CALGARY - Alberta Premier Alison Redford said she's not going to lobby Washington decision-makers to give a stamp of approval to the controversial Keystone XL pipeline......

"It's not my intention and never has been my intention to go and specifically lobby decision-makers in the process because that's not how the process works," said Redford. "I do believe that this is a process that Americans have to go through, to decide what they want to come to be.
"We are going to very clearly tell the story that this matters to Alberta and we think that we can speak to our experience with respect to regulations and pipelines."

Liberal lefty spewing on, and on about nothing, and the problem is that she is serious. Don't make waves by actually PROMOTING Alberta. A "process"?  How polite, how destructive to Alberta's oil industry. "Tell the story"? Is she serious? Lady, it's not a "story", it is the livelihood of thousands of Canadians, not just Albertans. We have the oil, the US wants oil and have the capacity to process it, why wouldn't you go there and promote our ethical oil over the middle east blood oil? What a wash out you are already. Bring back Eddy, at least he was smart enough to know he needed advisers to help him, Alison thinks she is smart enough to do everything on her own, or by listening to US advisers. Typical liberal thinking.

The new premier has taken intense criticism from Wildrose Party leader Danielle Smith, who insists Redford should have travelled to Washington for the final keystone hearing on Oct 7.
Redford was sworn in as premier on Oct. 7, and said Smith is merely an “armchair quarterback.”
“I think it’s easy to sit back and say ‘you should have done this you should have done that.’ What I know is that before I made this sort of decision I took advice from people who are in leadership roles in Washington,” said Redford.
“I’m very confident in the advice that I’ve received with respect to that and I believe that this is exactly the right time to go.”

 Advise from Americans? Seriously? Is she that clueless? Sigh....she obviously is.

During four days of travelling starting in Washington Nov. 14, Redford will also stop over in New York Wednesday to speak about Alberta’s viable investment markets, while addressing environmental stewardship in Toronto Wednesday, wrapping up the week meeting with Prime Minister Stephen Harper in Ottawa Thursday.
“Part of what we need to be able to do when we’re in Toronto and in Ottawa is to be abel to set a tone for the fact that as a government we intend to do business differently with respect to federal/provincial relations,” she said.

 We intend to do business differently? How? Hey, Alison, Toronto is not the center of the universe, are you going to pander to it? Ottawa just wants our money, how are you going to ensure that we get to keep more of ours? Big talk, no actual plan, or is she keeping it secret from Albertans?

There is nothing Conservative about our new premier-elect, she is a lefty from head to toe. Thanks to the PC's stupid membership rules, the Liberals/NDP/Greens voted in a useless Liberal premier. Last election of a leader, I voted. This time I couldn't care less, because I will not be voting PC in the next election, I will be voting Wildrose. I just hope that Alison doesn't permentally damage our relationship with the federal government and the US in the meantime. She thinks she's smarter than Ed, but I suspect that she is just another arrogant Liberal pretending to be a Conservative. She is in for a huge shock, think Kim Campbell, next election!

Alison, go to the US, shout out to anyone who will listen, that Alberta is open for business. Tell them that the pipeline will provide American jobs. Oh, why do I bother, she's tone deaf to Conservatives.

Is A Dynasty About To Tumble?

Alberta politics can be boring, we elect the PC's election after election with majorities. It has been a good thing for Alberta. We are debt free and have no provincial sales tax, so we pay 5% GST and that's it. My Mom was complaining about the 12% HST and the 9% Carbon tax they pay in BC. That carbon tax doesn't go towards actually reducing CO2 or anything stupid like that, it goes into the provincial governments general revenues, to be used however the government wants. They should be having a referendum on the carbon tax, not the HST. The carbon tax is a fake tax designed to suck more money out of taxpayers to the benefit of the government coffers.

Back in Alberta, the politics are heating up. It looks like Wild Rose is gaining momentum and knocking on the PC door. Stelmach retired but is hanging on until the PC leadership race is complete. This is damaging the PC's. Last leadership election, I was hoping for Morton, now, I really don't care who the PC's elect, it will make no difference.

I am switching my vote to the Wild Rose. The PC's are stale, think they are entitled to rule Alberta, and are arrogant like liberals. The Wild Rose at least appear to be actual Conservatives. Is a dynasty about to tumble? I say, yes.

Jack Flash In The Pan.

Finally a few media outlets are looking more closely at the NDP. They have "ghost" candidates, candidates on vacation, and a leader who misplaced his clothes. Jack is a flash in the pan, his numbers are not going to hold come election day.

Jack Layton has always been given a free ride to spout his message because no one takes him seriously. It's time to look at him and his party more closely. Who are his candidates and why are some of them taking vacations during an election? Take a closer look and see for yourself.

Meanwhile what this means is anyone's guess. I much prefer a stable Conservative government that wants to lower our taxes. I just did my taxes yesterday, and I wonder where the extra family of 4 that my taxes are supporting are and could they stop whining about not getting enough to live on. My 17 year old is finishing grade 12 and he has a part time job. He is saving his money so he can go to NAIT this fall, why can't other kids to that as well, then they wouldn't need any student loans. We of course have put money into a RESP for him, we started when he was born. It doesn't take much from the budget every month, one fewer trip to the hairdresser.

Jack appeals to those voters who believe in Robin Hood. Rob from the rich and give to the poor. It only works for as long as there is someones pocket to pick. The truly rich will just leave Canada, leaving the middle class to hold the burden of taxes. Jack would be a disaster for our economy and our standard of living.

I leave you with the Sun News interview of PM Harper. He has brought Canada through the worse economic downturn since the 30's and has us on track to slay the deficit dragon while not raising taxes. He is the only logical choice for those taxpaying Canadians who want to see their own families get some benefits from the taxes they pay, not special interest groups who suck our money up and spit out garbage against the Conservative government and taxpayers. Vote Conservative. Vote for a better future for your children.

The Winds Of Change Are Blowing Again In Alberta!

You just need to look at the history of Alberta politics to see what is going to happen next election! It's going to be interesting. 

1917 it's all Liberals, then, bang next it's all United Farmers. Then 1935 bang it's Social Credit, then 1971 bang it's Conservatives. Right now the Conservatives need to be worried, because in the 2012 election, I predict, it's going to be bang Wild Rose!

Interesting article about how the Liberals came to power in 1905...the usual, the Federal Liberals promised the moon and delivered nothing. I am shocked, they were at the same games as they are now way back in 1905! Oh, forget it, I'm not really shocked, it's what I expect of the Liberals. Bet this isn't in the history text books!

The Liberal Party took office in 1905, before Albertans had a chance to vote. They benefited from their association with the governing federal Liberals, who appointed the province's first Lieutenant Governor and made promises that depended on the cooperation of the provincial government. The Opposition Conservatives' advocated similar policies, but their support was limited mostly to southern Alberta, where fewer ridings were drawn. With no effective opposition, the Alberta Liberals held on to power until 1921.

Lefties often harp about Alberta being a one party province, and how that has ruined our province. Funny, we hear nothing about corruption in Alberta, but BC, Ontario and especially Quebec seem to be bogged down in corruption problems, something the lefties fail to mention is they are all run by LIBERALS! Fancy that! I say, Albertans are smart enough to not elect any lefty party in our very prosperous province. We now send our tax dollars to have not provinces like Liberal Quebec and Liberal Ontario, and Liberal PEI, need I say more? Keep your "progressive" economy killing lefty parties out of Alberta, we are doing just fine thank you.

The winds of change are blowing again in Alberta. Wild Rose is tied with the PC's.

CALGARY— Alberta’s governing Progressive Conservative party is in a statistical dead heat with the Wildrose Alliance as Albertans grow increasingly concerned about the state of health care, a new poll finds.
The survey by Environics Research Group, provided exclusively to the Calgary Herald, indicates 34 per cent of decided voters would support Premier Ed Stelmach’s PC party if an election were held today.
The poll found 32 per cent would cast a ballot for Danielle Smith’s Wildrose Alliance, meaning the figures are within the survey’s margin of error. The poll of 1,011 Albertans, conducted between Nov. 22 and Dec. 2, shows the Liberals under David Swann have seen their support slip slightly to 19 per cent, while Brian Mason’s NDP sit at 13 per cent.

Face it, Albertans will never elect the Liberals or the NDP. So now, we have a real battle between the PC's and Wild Rose. Is Alberta about to go BANG again and send the Wild Rose party into power? Maybe not this election. It will probably be a minority government with the Wild Rose as the official opposition. That would probably be the best outcome. It will give Wild Rose the chance to learn how to govern, and if they do a good job in opposition, the voters in this province will give them full support, and then bang a new party will rule Alberta. It's how us Albertans do things. We clean out the old really quickly and replace it with the new. The Alberta PC's have become really old, like smelly old shoes. 

I smell a change coming in Alberta, a fresh new scent of Rose petals, to clean out the stale offices of the Legislature. It's funny because Albertans rarely talk politics, they go about their work, without being political, but they shift as one. Maybe it's something in our water, or maybe it's our desire for a government that respects our independence as individuals. 

 

We know what freedom is, and we understand how it is slowly being taken away from us. My vote goes to the party that will abolish the AHRC (Alberta Human Rights Commission). Most importantly, my vote goes to the party that advocates for private property rights. Right now, we think we own our property, but in reality, the government can come and take it, and they can dictate what we use it for, or do on it, or with it. We have no power until we have private property rights. This should be a major platform for the Wild Rose party.

Unions Dictating Alberta PC's Agenda!

We got saddled with Stelmach because Liberals and NDP signed up for PC memberships and voted. Now we have union members signing up as Conservatives to vote down proposed bills. They are using Alinsky's rules for radicals, and laughing about it. What they are scared about is the Wildrose Alliance, because they have not been able to infiltrate that party YET.

Also Saturday, one of the most heated moments of the convention erupted during debate over a resolution that would have allowed union members to stop their dues from funding political ad campaigns.
Supporters referred to the union-backed television ads seen during the 2008 provincial election, in which an ominous voice repeatedly whispers "No Plan" to criticize the Tory government. They said union members should have the power to opt-out of funding such campaigns in the future if they disagree with the message.
But a group of union supporters took issue with the motion, at one point yelling "out of order" several times to drown out proponents.
"This is a wedge issue, an issue that divides us at a time when this party is under attack from all sides," said an opponent.
The resolution was narrowly defeated.

This resolution should have passed with flying colours if the Alberta PC's were actually Conservatives.  They are not. 

How about those HRC's in Alberta? The one that put Ezra through hell for over a year and then backed down when public opinion turned against them. I have for the first time in my life emailed the Premier of my province to tell him that HRC's need to be erased. So, what does the party do?

That debate was followed by another contentious proposal that called for the removal of a section of the Alberta Human Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Act. Supporters said the section, which deals with the publishing of discriminatory material, gives too much power to people who are "easily offended" and infringes on freedom of expression.
The motion was defeated after Education Minister Dave Hancock got up to defend the current legislation.
"Posting a sign that says 'No Person of Colour Allowed on Premises' isn't appropriate in our province," he said. "This section (of the act) isn't used very often, but it's an important symbol of our society."

Dave Hancock, the hippies are calling, you left your opinions in the 60's and they want them back. Are you kidding me? Is this an example of what the Alberta Conservatives have become?  My God, are they serious? Are they really that stupid? Are they really allowing the union fakers to dictate their agenda?  Maybe all Conservatives should sign up for NDP memberships so that we can dictate the NDP policies. That would be a hoot! Can you imagine us voting on NDP policy? They seem to think it's okay for them to vote on Conservative policy, so it's only fair for us to do the same to them!

The unions and lefties are now dictating to our Premier and his party. I wonder if the Alberta PC's and their far left buddies at rabble, are going to be shocked when they lose the next election to the Wildrose Alliance? They shouldn't be, given their lefty positions on everything. 

 

It is said that PM Harper does not suffer fools lightly, have you noticed that he never actually talks to Stelmach. He gets along better with Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Williams than Stelmach.....what does that tell you?  

 

The Alberta lefties can't win any seats provincially so they dishonestly sign up as "fake" Conservatives and hijack our agenda. Lefties, no morals, no principles.

Too Much Time On Their Hands!

I already miss the proroguing of Parliament. I haven't been able to watch QP this week, but I don't really need to because it's just back to the same garbage as before Christmas. It's time for MP's to take a look at their responsibilities. First and foremost, they need to listen to their constituents. We don't need 308 MP's going to Ottawa to argue about this bill or that. We have too many laws and bills now. Maybe OUR representatives could start cutting some of the red tape and rid Parliament of endless bills that just tie us down as citizens. Every bill that gets passed takes away a little bit more of our freedoms. Here is how stupid our society is getting:

Britain's latest nanny-law targets unruly dogs

Britain already leads the world in spying on its citizens with closed-circuit cameras. There are 4.2 million cameras in Britain, one for every 14 people, and twice as many as China uses to keep control if its 1.3 billion people, according to the Daily Mail.

You'd think that would satisfy the government's need to intrude on the lives of the average Brit, but not even close. The latest scheme is aimed at extending state control over dogs.

The Independent reports that plans are under consideration to force dog owners to buy insurance to cover themselves in case their pet attacks someone, and also to require that every dog be microchipped.

I know it's Britain, but it appears their legislators have way too much time on their hands. Make work so that MP's can justify their salaries?

How about let's adopt the Texas method:

The Texas Legislature meets in a regular session every two years, convening on the second Tuesday in January of every odd-numbered year. These biennial sessions are limited to 140 days. The governor can also call additional special sessions as necessary, which cannot exceed 30 days.

They meet every two years, do they get anything done?

If 17 days of prorogue sent our opposition parties into a frenzy, can you imagine the Conservative government proposing they only meet every two years for 140 days? Yikes!!! It's not going to happen of course, because the opposition feed off of Question Period. They are addicted to getting their faces in front of the cameras. Case in point Jack Layton during the Canada-USA gold medal hockey game, front and center and making sure not even a female gets in his way. So rude and lacking class Jack.

Here is an idea to make Canada better. Go through all our laws, starting with the very first one, and if they no longer apply, get rid of them. Update them, and write them without all the legal terminology. Give the government back the right to MAKE the laws, and cut off the Supreme judges power to decide what the law REALLY means.

Start with the HRC's. I know the Conservatives are scared that not enough people support getting rid of the HRC's, but it's time, after 4 years in office, for the Conservative government to grow some resolve, and take some positions that might not be popular with the lefties (Hint: they are not EVER going to vote for you anyways). Federal Conservatives need to look to Alberta, the reason Wildrose is so popular is that the provincial conservatives are acting like liberals. It's time for the federal Conservatives to at least act like conservatives.

Our MP's have too much time on their hands, and have lost their way. All MP's need to get back to their ridings and listen to what the people are saying, not what their parties are telling them to say.

So The Globe And Mail Called Today....

I must say their telemarketers are efficient, they don't hang around on the line to get the full truth!

She asked if I read the Globe and Mail, and as it happened, I had gone online today and actually read an article after months of avoiding them, so I said yes.

She wanted to know if I had a subscription or bought it at a news outlet, I told her I read it online. She asked if I would like a subscription, I said not likely, and she said thanks, goodbye.

Do you think she somehow knew what was coming? HA! Smart lady!

After the call, I thought about our news industry and how badly they are all doing financially, even my favorite National Post is in trouble. I enjoy Global Edmonton TV because the news anchors are here in my city and understand the issues, I would hate to see them go. CBC, not so much.

What is most frightening, is what happens if we are left with only the taxpayer subsidized CBC? Think about that for a minute. CBC can not fail, because we pay over 1 BILLION for them to survive on some old Trudeau Maniac feeling that our culture will not make it if we do not support CBC. How did we survive as a cultural nation before CBC? How can CBC survive without anyone watching them? On our dime, that's how.

How stupid is CTV to be parroting CBC? They are ticking off 40% of the country, and they rely on our viewership to survive. Not so CBC. Nobody watches CBC anymore, and CTV thinks it's a good business model to follow? Are they next in line for government funding so they can feed off the taxpayers trough and be just like CBC? We can't afford another CBC.

I think CTV/Global should be taking the government to court for their funding of one TV station and not others. CBC should get no funding or they all should. They should all have to compete in the market fairly, not with one station having an advantage. Like the Canadian Wheat Board gets to dictate to our western farmers, but not the Ontario farmers who are free to sell their grain to anyone they want. The market is distorted and unfair.

Cable companies should refuse to carry CBC, see what the CRTC does with that idea. I suspect they would try to shut cable/satellite companies down, until the public gets involved.

I know Conservatives get ridiculed for their lack of support for CBC. What the lefties do not see, is the unfair advantage and total disregard for the free market economy that CBC represents, same with the CWB. Lefties hate capitalism, and therefore love the inequities that CBC and CWB represent. Conservatives see how unfair it is and respond with disgust.

Funny though, it is businesses that overwhelmingly support the Liberals. The days of businesses having their hands in both our pockets and the governments need to end. Businesses need to get out of politics and remember that it is the consumer that makes them profitable, not the government. But as government has grown, companies can't help tapping into the deep taxpayers pockets the government promises. I remember one sales representative getting a commission cheque of over $100,000 for ONE month, because he sold photocopiers to the government. One month!

The free market is being shackled by all the rules and regulations that governments are imposing. Environmental regulations, municipal bylaws, and unions all make it difficult for businesses to operate, no wonder they are moving to India and China. We need to wake up, and realize that our standard of living is at risk here.

So, the Globe and Mail called today, they got no respect because they deserve none. As consumers we need to pay attention to what businesses are supporting and if we don't like it, our dollars should walk.

HUGE Tory Scandal!!

This has been one of the top stories all day, it's HUGE CTV tells us, HUGE!!! Why, it's a Conservative, you know those knuckle dragging (FIFE), rednecks from Alberta are at it again. Last week it was Iris Evans telling people that the best thing for children was to have one parent stay at home, this week it, well, this is just so upsetting to me as a female, I can't control my anger.

The blog posting was framed as advice for girls, and read: "Ladies, always smile when you walk into a room, there is nothing a man wants less than a woman scowling because he thinks he is going to get shit for something and has no idea what.

"Men are attracted to smiles, so smile, don't give me that 'treated equal' stuff, if you want equal it comes in little packages at Starbucks," the post read, referring to the artificial sweetener available at coffee shops.

Okay, he told ladies to smile, and that treated equal is a sugar. Well my poor little delicate female ego is just shattered that he could be so uncaring and well, just, just, just....such a dinosaur. I mean really, smile? Doesn't he know that feminists can't smile they are so bitter? That's just cruel to make them think that they would have something in life to smile about, you know with how the equality fight is going for them.

Really, equal pay for equal work has been law for years, just ask the human rights commissions. What this neanderthal fails to understand is that the fight for equality will only end when administrative assistants get the same pay as engineers. That's true equality!!! Go sisters go!

Notley said the comments fly in the face of the struggle for women's rights.

"It's a traditional way to undercut them and say 'oh you're just so angry, just be nice,' and particularly women are undercut that way. So he may not even realize how his comments contribute to sexism, but they do," she said.

NDP MLA Notley is in the same riding as NDP Linda Duncan, it's a university riding, need I say more? Feminists are angry, they are the ones that contribute to sexism but no one dares call them on it. It's okay for them to rage against men, but let a man tell ladies to smile and it becomes headline news! What fight for women's rights? Are you back in the 60's?? Don't you dare lump all women into your agenda, I'm perfectly happy having nothing to do with your sort of woman. All you do is yap about equality, you care nothing for aboriginal women who truly have no rights, you are weak, pathetic examples of what real women care about. Why aren't you out protesting the death of Neda? ....crickets... Feminists and unions are the dinosaurs.

Now, I can say all of that, because I am a woman, but it won't stop the attacks, because I am a Conservative woman, and that is what they can not stand. Look at how they continue to attack Sarah Palin, it's pathetic how scared they are of strong independent Conservative females.

CTV is digging up anything and everything they can to slam Conservatives, even if it's only Alberta Conservatives. Hey, it worked for Obama didn't it? Try out their new comment section where you can vote thumbs up or down on any comment. So far I have noticed that sometimes my vote won't register at all no matter how many times I click it, but if I click on the same comment but reverse my vote, it gets accepted. The most disturbing ones are when I vote and the number changes to a lower number. Something fishy going on there. How can I vote for a comment that is sitting at 120 and then it goes to 50?? Has anyone else noticed this?

Sexist? Give me a break. How's this for sexist....You lads should smile more because the ladies like to see a smiling face, it will get you more dates. If you want the girls to be interested in you take dentistry at university or plumbing at college, they like a guy who can support a family and accept responsibilities. Also it's a good idea to shower everyday, and use underarm deodorant, don't forget to wash behind your ears and for heavens sake brush your teeth! Also, get your drivers license as early as you can because having Mom drive you to the movies with your date is not going to impress the girls! Open doors for ladies and the elderly, and get a summer job if you want that new game. (Heard at my house lately) Now I wonder if this will make the front page news tomorrow? HA!

The HUGE scandal, is a pathetic attempt to smear a Conservative MLA seeing as the MP's are all back in their ridings.

Minority governments can function very well if both sides want them to. Pearson proved that and we got some of our greatest policies during that time -- the National Health Act to name just one.

Harper deliberately misspeaks when he says that Canadians elected him to govern the country. Harper isn't very good at math; there are more MPs against him than for him.

Ever since his government has held the reins he has done everything he can think of to make Parliament dysfunctional by making every vote a confidence vote. That's not the way a minority Parliament works, and what's worse, Harper knows this.

But thanks to Iggy, the Prime Minsiter got off his high horse and decided to negotiate. Stephen Harper has lived here all his life and he still hasn't figured out how to be Canadian. Maybe he needs to live abroad for a while to figure it out.

PM Harper, is the Prime Minister because in our system, his party won more votes/MP's than any other political party, therefore they are the government. I guess she is still hoping for a lefty coalition to grab power from the knuckle dragging Conservatives.

Acting Canadian, that would be Iggy, he's just visiting after 34 years. He only needs 2 more years as an MP then he gets a Canadian pension for life! Sweet! Iggy thought he wanted an election, then he didn't, now he might, but not necessarily. When asked if he had tried to meet with PM Harper, Iggy did not answer, because he was so busy getting crowned by the backroom boys, he didn't bother. He told us that Harper was going to wear the recession. So who was making Parliament dysfunctional? Let's see....

Just weeks after the election, the NDP, Liberals and Bloc tried to form a coalition of the socialists, but being socialists they held meetings and signed agreements, and not much else, so poof...the Canadian citizens, acting Canadian, clipped that idea in the bud.

The NDP and the Bloc both refused to even read the budget before they came out saying they would not support it.

This caused the instillation of Iggy as the new Liberal king, crowned without a vote.

But Linda is blaming PM Harper for a dysfunctional government? Give your head a shake lady. Take off your lefty tinted glasses and understand that Iggy blundered badly, he showed only weakness not leadership. He backed down, he settled for a committee not an election. Seeing how lefties love useless committees, I guess lefties might think he won something, but he didn't. Even my 16 year old knows that Iggy is just visiting, he saw the ads, he had no clue who Iggy was before seeing them. I suspect many people who are here "acting Canadian", like Iggy, saw them as well.

The opposition has given no help to the government during a recession, they have been too busy playing silly opposition games.

What is dysfunctional is the opposition, they refuse to work with a Conservative government, on principle. Principles, they have no principles, that's dysfunctional.

You Mean The Alberta Liberals, Right?

Alberta Conservatives are about to give their government a swift kick in the butt. There is nothing Conservative about them anymore. They went from huge surpluses to a deficit in one budget. I realize that oil prices had a lot to do with it, but mismanagement by a government who thinks they will be in power forever is the biggest problem.

Stelmach is a Dion. Too bad he is also the Premier of our province. I blame all the fake conservatives who signed up to vote for Liberal Dinning. One of the most powerful provinces in Canada has a dud for a leader and his Ministers are no better. This story shows the level of incompetence they have sunk to:

Alberta memo reveals climate change rift with Ottawa

CALGARY -- An internal memo prepared for members of Alberta's Tory government reveals a growing schism between the federal and provincial Conservatives on a host of important issues, including the oilsands, climate-change negotiations and employment insurance.

The talking points, prepared by the provincial Conservative government's caucus office and distributed to party legislature members, argues that federal Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff is doing more to champion the lucrative oilsands than Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Get your fat butts off the dinner train that is now in Saskatchewan and start managing your own province. The day that our own Conservative government thinks Iggy is doing more for Alberta than a federal Conservative government, is the day my Conservative vote gets lost down the rabbit hole. Who ever wrote that "memo" should be fired.

We need a leader. I see none. If Wildrose is ever going to get off the ground, they need to do just one small thing, get themselves a real Conservative as a leader. Someone we all know like Preston Manning, a true Conservative to run this province. We need it for our next election.

The Alberta Conservatives have no credibility left. None.

Newman Versus Duffy!

It appears Newman is retiring from CBC. Bet he couldn't resist that healthy buyout package and hefty taxpayer pension. Can't say I blame him, I probably would have cut and run too. What is interesting is the reaction to his retiring as opposed to Mike Duffy's retirement from CTV. Sure, Duffy retired to become a Senator, and Newman is only retiring without any prospect of becoming a Senator, but it's interesting to see how the lefties perceive both retirements.

Mike Duffy should not have been on the air, pedalling partisan Conservative half truths, pushing character assassination of Mr. Dion, pushing Harper's talking points and misinforming Canadians. Mr. Duffy has been brutally undemocratic and unfair to Canadians, for his own self-interest.

Such partisan assassination such as that attempted by Mr. Duffy should not have been tolerated from people like him, who falsely claim they are a "news source". It's a very sad day for Canada when so-called "news" people who do not properly report truthful information, are in turn rewarded with a lifetime supply of dough, as though pre-arranged. And since everyone has been predicting this on blogs for years, it's pretty clear the fix was in, by Harper & Conservative TV (CTV) against Canadian's trust.

The demagogue has rewarded his jester with a lifetime of jewels. Some do it for 72 virgins, some accept their sheiks' oil money. In Harper-Canada, he sticks it to the taxpayer to make his propaganda artists comfy for life.

Thankfully, Don's not following Mike Duffy's sleazy exit into the cushy Senate trough. (Did anyone else notice the softball nature of Duffy's questions to Tories prior to his being named to the Senate, a position he'd been actively lobbying for?)

I often come home during the noon hour when Don hosted the program during Question Period. He asked tough questions and very insightful on what he was talking about. He didn't let his guests off easily and always ensured they stay on topic to the questions he was asking. He will be truly missed, and along with the recent retirement of Henry Champ, leaves a gaping hole in the political scene.

Unlike the pompous Mike Duffy, who was full of himself and much more style than substance ( and now we have to put up with him in the Senate), I wish Mr. Newman the very best in his retirement and whatever projects he may wish to take on next.

I suspect that the lefties don't even see their bias. They think Newman good, Duffy bad. Since Duffy has been gone, I have watched Power Play once or twice, it is a poor imitation of Mike Duffy Live, and now Politics will lose Newman, both shows will continue to tank no matter who hosts. Why? They look at 37% Conservative voters and 63% lefty voters and think they will win by slagging Conservatives. Not so.

Most voters are middle of the road voters, not Conservative or Liberal, they are not the ones watching these political shows, so they will make their minds up at election time.

What even my Liberal voting parents have noticed is that the media is biased, and they don't like it, they prefer to make up their own minds about who to vote for, not be told who they should vote for.

Rally In Edmonton!

Just got back from the Harper rally in Edmonton. It was electric! Over 1000 Conservatives all packed into a room, making noise and enjoying Harper's speech.

We waited in long lines, then we were packed in there like sardines, one poor old fellow even fainted near the end. I made two new friends in the lineup. It was easy to start talking because we knew we were all there for the same reason. We were Conservatives, meeting other Conservatives to show support for our MP's and Stephen Harper.

Harper's voice is sounding a little raw, and up close his hair is quite gray, but he was pumped and he looked like he was having fun.

He had us laughing about Dion's shifting the shift. He said something to the effect that Dion was so busy shifting the shift, that he wasn't even sure what colour the shift was. Too funny! Very subtle, but the crowd got it.

I walked away with a great big Harper sign, and more enthusiasm for this election than before. He got the crowd pumped, and now we need to get out there and get the voters pumped.

We ARE better off with Harper!

Wake Up Alberta!

You know how the media was telling us the Alberta Liberals were going to make big gains in the last provincial election, and we came out and showed by our vote that they were wrong?

Well it's time for Alberta Conservatives to rise up again, but this time it is more important, one lost seat could mean the difference between a majority and a minority.

I noticed a disturbing trend at the door this weekend, Conservatives were complaisant, and voters for the opposition were really ticked off. They are motivated, our voters, not so much, they think we have this election in the bag. We do not. Every riding is a fight, staying at home is not an option.

Wake up Alberta! Get motivated like the last federal election when we could smell victory, when we hungered for the win, when our hearts beat faster because, finally, after 13 dark years we might, just might, win. And we did, we won a slim minority.

The rush when we did it, when we slayed the Liberal dragon, felt soooo good, but that was 2 and a half years ago, the trumpets are not sounding so loud in our ears, the heart beats have slowed, and we just ASSUME we will turn the whole province blue again.

That is our mistake. We are happy because we are in, finally. Wake up Alberta, our vote counts, even if Quebec and Ontario have the most votes, we have proven that we count too, that we have a voice, without us, the Liberals would have won again. If we sit at home expecting other Conservatives to carry the vote, we will lose. We are complaisant, we think we have power because we have oil, but if we have no voice in Ottawa, Dion gets to kill our jobs and create a new NEPII that will suck the life out of Alberta and Saskatchewan as surely as the first Trudeau NEP did.

We face death by carbon tax from the Liberals and Greens. The NDP want to shut down the oilsands. The only party that will protect energy resources is the Conservative party. Do not sit back and think Alberta is safe because the polls favour the Conservatives, this is not a time to get complaisant, it is a time for action, a time to make our voices heard.

Alberta does not deserve to suffer death by carbon taxes. Remember once a tax is imposed, it is never rescinded, like income taxes and the GST, they will never go away.

Get out and vote Alberta, never ASSUME!
