Conrad Black To Take Over CBC!

Breaking News: In an attempt to clean up the biased CBC, the Conservatives have appointed Conrad Black as the new president of CBC.

Order of Canada recipient, Conrad Black will have his Canadian citizenship reinstated, after Chretien forced him to give it up in an act of sheer pettiness and envy. Once his citizenship has been reinstated, he will take up the reins of the floundering CBC.

Government spokesperson, Ida Truth, had this statement:

"The CBC needs to generate more revenue, and the man to turn it around is Conrad Black. He is a proven entrepreneur, with great experience in the media. We anticipate a bit of resistance from the CBC, because they are so used to relying on government funds, that they can't understand that real businesses can actually turn a profit."

Conrad Black could not be reached to verify the truth to the rumour, but it is anticipated that once he is released from prison on the trumped up charges, he will be more than happy to help restore civility and truth to the Canadian media.

When reached, the current president was unable to speak because he was too busy crying on Craig Oliver's shoulder.

The CBC is in shock that their little kingdom is now being threatened, and all the posters on their site are furiously trying to arrange a huge protest on parliament hill, so far 12 people have signed up and at least double that are expected to show up.

This might be the death of the biased CBC, and the true awakening of a new capitalist enterprise in Canada, one the fairly competes without government funds.

Expect more shouting, whining, gnashing of teeth, and hair pulling before a peaceful resolution is arrived at. The CBC will never be the same again! HA!

H/T Cardinal Richelieu
The Toronto Star is not fit for the bottom of a birdcage.  I earnestly look forward to the return of Lord Black to this country where he will certainly provide some spark to the discourse.  He has much to offer Canada. He should be asked to head the CBC so he might provide the necessary leadership to clean up that moribund organization.

Scrap the Gun Registry, CWB, and CBC!

Okay, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

CTV really shows their left bias with this piece. Go to the media clip called "Debating the Registry's end".
Brian Rahilly of the Dawson College Gun Control Coalition says getting rid of the registry is not in the interest of Canadians. Tony Bernardo of the Canadian Shooting Sports Association says the registry is nothing but an endless sinkhole of money.
Leftist Rahilly is ripped apart by Bernardo. Rahilly is your typical lefty, he sneers at the west, blaming us for getting rid of the gun registry. He smacks a pen constantly as if it will make his point for him. It is a must watch because the host....what's his face....gets all sanctimonious when Bernardo mentions the Conservative majority.  He points out that it is not a majority in the "popular vote" and Bernardo smacks him down as well. A bad day all round for lefties.

Goodbye useless gun registry. I don't own a gun, but I did have some fun at the West Edmonton Mall shooting gallery.

Don't mess with Conservative women, we can aim straight, shoot down lefties with our superior thinking and best of all, do it while cooking supper for our families without feeling inferior like feminists.

Another Conservative promise has been kept. Next is the choice for western farmers by taking away the CWB monopoly. The CWB is sucking the blood out of our western farmers, enough is enough. Funny how the lefties want to keep western farmers down, they are obviously too stupid to see that western farmers are being oppressed by a government run organization, or the lefties think it is just fine to oppress our western farmers because they tend to be Conservative. Lefties really are slimy and unprincipled.

After the CBC's stupid ambush of Mayor Ford today, they might be next on the chopping block, and I would welcome that decision. How arrogant, how stupid. You do not "ambush" a 6 year old child because her father is the mayor. Keep digging that hole CBC, I'm waiting for you to reach China, that should be an interesting end to your political agenda.
Glad the gun registry is on it's last legs, just like the Liberals!

TAPS, Unbelievable Talent!

I was at the airport today picking up my hubby who went to PEI to visit his family, and I saw a group of Canadian troops. They were obviously being deployed somewhere, but I was too shy to approach them and ask where they were going. When we got home, I checked my emails, and West Coast Teddi had sent me this very inspiring rendition of TAPS.

The conductor of the orchestra is Andre Rieu from Holland . The young lady, her trumpet and her rendition of TAPS makes your hair stand on end.
Many of you may never have heard taps played in its entirety, for all of the Men and Women who have died for you to have the freedom you have in America .  This is an opportunity you won't want to miss and I guarantee you'll never forget.

Amazingly beautiful .. Melissa Venema, age 13, is the trumpet soloist.

Here is 'Taps' played in its entirety. The Original version of Taps was called Last Post, and was written by Daniel Butterfield in 1801.  It was rather lengthy and formal, as you will hear in this clip, so in 1862 it was shortened to 24 notes and re-named 'Taps'.

Our military is the backbone of our country. The Liberals decimated them by refusing to fund them for decades. Now, the Conservatives are rebuilding our proud forces, but the lefties are shouting about unnecessary expenditures, like new helicopters and jets, they are pandering to their voters, without caring about Canada.  I would prefer 1.1 Billion a year going towards our troops instead of the lame, useless and biased CBC.

MP's Back Home, Don't Leave Them Guessing!

Your MP's are back home and supposedly ready to hear from you, so don't let them down. Call up your MP and ask about things like the human rights commissions, the gun registry, the Canadian wheat board, and my favorite, the CBC.

Now that the Conservatives have a majority, like them know what you expect. We voted with our hearts, now it's time to hold them to delivering what we want. So far, they are talking but not delivering. I am willing to wait until September when Parliament resumes to see what they are up to, but so far, I have not been impressed.

Invite your MP to your community barbeque, see if he/she comes, even for a few minutes, if they don't, you better see them on TV giving a rousing speech to hundreds of people. They are here to represent you, the voter, not to live large on their salaries while ignoring you.

My MP has come to our community party a few times, but according to the party organizer, he is busy this year. I can understand that, what I can not understand is that he did not personally phone her to tell her he couldn't make it, his secretary phoned instead.

I am worried that since the Conservatives have gained their wished for majority, they are now forgetting their "reform" roots, and are acting like liberals. Let them know what you expect, it was the loud "reformers" who got them in touch with the voters, but many Conservative boards have now been taken over by "conservatives" because being Liberal isn't working for them. It's time we looked at the makeup of those boards an make sure that "reformers" still have a voice.

To my MP, if you read this, at least call Vera to apologize for not being able to attend the barbeque, don't let your secretary be your voice. All Conservatives need to hold their MP's to account, let them know what you want to see happen for the next 4 years, don't leave them guessing!

Rain, Rain, and even more Rain!

I can't concentrate on politics when the weather is so very bad. We wait all winter for summer, for the heat, for the growing of vegetables and then we get smacked by Mother Nature with enough rain that I am considering building an ark.

The econuts can scream "global warming", "climate change" all they want, but when it comes down to day by day weather, they always get it wrong.  Just like the NDP are wrong headed.

Maybe the NDP should drop "socialist" from their mandate and go with "global warning, anti-Israel, union supporting" as their mantra. They are abrasive, rude and out of touch with Canadians. Jack and Olivia can move up, but that doesn't make them classy.

My husband made a really important statement today. He said that the Conservatives have got to get tough. He wants no more talk about the gun registry, he wants it gone. He wants the Conservatives to stop being wimps, and start implementing the agenda he voted for, he wants changes, not promises.

I agree that the Conservatives have got to show leadership, and they have to be Conservative, not liberal lite. Privatize the CBC, get rid of the gun registry, give western farmers choice by de-funding the CWB, and most importantly, get rid of the human rights commissions.

My husband is a fair weather voter, more liberal than conservative, so when he calls for tough measures, it is time for the Conservatives to listen.

Unions, Stuck On Stupid!

Edmonton was targeted for the rolling strike of Canada Post workers last week. I didn't even notice it. Do they not realize that they are peeing in their own kennel? Safeway had a strike years ago, we used to shop there all the time, we never shop there now, that's what the strike did for them. Molson workers went on strike in Edmonton, Molson shut the plant down, end of story.

Now, Air Canada is going to strike? Are they serious? Westjet will benefit big time. It's like all the lefties have lost their collective minds. Are all these strikes a show of power against a Conservative government? Are they intent on pushing the government to restructure Air Canada and Canada Post, and hopefully the CBC?

It's really pathetic, the lefties are protesting against the Conservative government because of what lefties THINK the government might do, no evidence required, just stupidity.

Biased? The CBC? NO!

Tell me it isn't so! It's subtle, it's sneaky, it's typical CBC.

Read the article, notice no mention is made of Senator Lavigne being a LIBERAL, until near the end, but they mention Conservatives as soon as they can, making it seem that it's Conservatives who are the corrupt ones.

Lavigne is the first senator to face trial since Conservative Michael Cogger was tried over allegations of influence peddling in the 1990s. Cogger was eventually given an absolute discharge in 2001, but resigned from the Senate.
..........

Lavigne's conviction comes as two of his Senate colleagues, Conservatives Doug Finley and Irving Gerstein, prepare to defend themselves against charges they face from Elections Canada over the in-and-out advertising scheme. The first court hearing in the case related to the senators and two other Conservative party officials is set for next Friday.

Opposition MPs have been calling on Prime Minister Stephen Harper to suspend the senators while they are facing charges.
See how the article becomes about the Conservative Senators, not the GUILTY LIBERAL? Finally, near the end of the article, they mention that Lavigne is a Liberal.

Lavigne, a former Liberal MP, was charged by the RCMP in August 2007, and was later censured by his Senate colleagues. Lavigne was kicked out of the Liberal caucus and for nearly four years now he has not been allowed to sit on Senate committees or enter the upper chamber without special permission from the Speaker.

As his case has dragged through the courts, Lavigne has been allowed to continue to spend thousands of dollars in public funds. Since 2007, he has charged taxpayers more than $10,000 a month in travel, hospitality and office expenses. That spending is on top of his $133,000 a year salary.

Typical Liberal, entitled to his entitlements. The Liberals want to go to an election based on ethics? I say, go for it! As for CBC, do they get sponsorship type money from Liberals who can't just give to the Liberal party anymore? Is the CBC a bought and paid for hoe for the Liberals, by Liberals or do they do it for free? We don't know, the CBC refuses to release any information. Maybe we should start boycotting anyone who advertises on CBC.

Our Disgusting Media.

As a Conservative Albertan, I watched the Toronto mayoralty race with interest. What amazed me was the disgusting media portraying Ford as "fat". That was their mantra. Now that Ford has won, what does the media do? This:

Over at CBC they have an article about "Ontarians" choosing mayors, NOTHING about Ford winning in Toronto!

CTV has Ford winning as mayor of Toronto, but they are not allowing any comments. HA. Chickens.

If Smithsonian man had won, you can bet that it would be the lead story at both CBC and CTV. Ford winning, not so much. Toronto just suffered an earthquake, and the media, shrugged and ignored it after perpetrating the whole "anybody but Ford" campaign.  No wonder they are losing money, they just blew off 50% of the voters in Toronto. Dummies. They just can't see what we see. They hang around all their Liberal/progressive buddies and don't even try to understand our point of view. That's why lefties are loosing at all levels of government. We are watching you, and we don't like what we see.

CTV Mocks PM Harper.

Everyone thinks CBC is biased, but CTV is by far more disgusting in their coverage of our PM.

Compare and contrast these two videos:

CTV mocks the PM for dancing.

Now watch the real video, without editorial comment:

David Akin supplies the real video.

Can you see the difference? CTV mocks the PM, the laughing and giggling is really juvenile. The video is stupid and defines how immature CTV really is, but I'm sure lefties loved it. The video supplied by David Akin shows the real truth. No editing, just the raw footage. Good for David, he is a real reporter, whether he supports the PM or not, he gave an unbiased report.

CTV showed their Liberal bias with their coverage of our PM. Yes, OUR PM!!!! That has not gotten through to the medias thick heads. PM Harper really is what people want. He really is the Prime Minister of Canada! That dance just won him the north!

Funny how Jean eating a raw seal heart was showing support for our northern people, but PM Harper dancing with them wasn't. Can you see the hypocrisy of the left? Can you smell their desperation? It is stinking up our country and I'm not sure that we have enough brooms to rid ourselves of the riffraff!

CTV can mock our PM as much as they want,..... for now, but SunTV will give us a different more honest prospective. I can't wait!!

Mockery is the lowest form of intellectual pursuit. I guess CTV caters to the lefty bottom feeders and Liberal elite....or are they the same?

PM Harper scored a huge hit with our northern people, and CTV didn't like it, not one little bit. So, they had to mock it. Such babies lacking in any intellectual skills. Good for PM Harper, it has the lefties in a tizzy!

Liberals Dividing Canadians To Win Power!

Thanks to Sort of Political, I was able to capture this tasty bit of video.

Kory destroys Graves. I am amazed that CBC let that happen. How can a pollster maintain his impartiality if he gives advise to the Liberals? CBC pays for his company to do polls for them, with taxpayer money.

Does the CBC share Mr. Graves’ call for a “culture war” that pits Canadian against Canadian?

The article quotes Graves spouting advice to the Liberal Party of Canada.

“I told them that they should invoke a culture war. Cosmopolitanism versus parochialism, secularism versus moralism, Obama versus Palin, tolerance versus racism and homophobia, democracy versus autocracy,” Graves is quoted in the story. “If the cranky old men in Alberta don’t like it, too bad. Go south and vote for Palin.”

Graves is president and founder of national polling firm EKOS Research Associates and a frequent media commentator on national issues.

He is also a frequent Liberal Party contributor.

Since 2001, Graves has donated at least $11,042.72 to the Liberals, according to the Elections Canada website, including money toward the leadership campaigns of current party leader Michael Ignatieff and leadership candidate Bob Rae. He also gave $449.04 to Paul Benoit, the Conservative candidate for Ottawa Vanier, in 2006.

Graves could not be reached directly for comment.

Kory is correct, state your political affiliation before you come on any TV station, radio show, or blog, so that voters can weigh that into what you say, this should be mandatory for all journalists and experts.

As for the Alberta comments, does Graves not realize that the CBC is able to hire him to poll people because Alberta does such a good job at keeping the economy of Canada running? I am tired of lefties accepting Quebec separatists while slamming Alberta, the province that is truly devoted to our monarchy and Canada.

Liberals pitting urban against rural...seriously? Do the urban people want fresh food? Let the Cosmopolitanism supporters eat what is grown in their city, no fresh produce for you sophisticates, no milk, no cheese, and seeing as those cosmopolitan people hate killing stuff, definitely no meat.

Liberals think nothing of dividing Canadians, it started with Trudeau giving the west the finger and the NEP, it carried on with Chretian ignoring the west and the military for over 10 years, and Iggy seems to be carrying on the ignore the west theme with the "whipping" of his MP's to vote against scrapping the gun registry. He is pandering to the feminists and anti-war crowd.

I have faith in Canadians from all across Canada to understand what the Liberals are trying to do, divide our great country, to gain power. How is Gilles going on the Canadian tour to get support for separatism any different from what the Liberals are doing?

The Opposition/Media Need To Grow Up!

What has been happening lately has been so partisan by the opposition parties that it should wake us up and make us realize that there are no adults running the opposition parties. The Liberals and NDP are in the House shrieking about abortions and our troops being involved in torturing Afghans. It is sickening. Watch this CTV Power Play interview of Liberal and NDP MP's. They are so juvenile it's hard to believe they represent real Canadians.
Opposition cries like babies.

The comments show how dangerous it is for PM Harper, there are a lot of Harper Haters out there. I suspect most of those Haters are university students sitting at their computers in their parents basements, posting under numerous names, repeating the socialist mantra that their professors have indoctrinated them with, because they are too stupid to think for themselves.

The media is leading the way, but they have shot their load too soon and shown their hand to Canadians. This is not a game. This is not a university debate with mindless rah rah cheer leading. The media is engaged in an all out war against anything Conservative. They are fighting for their lives and think that lefties are going to save them because 60% of voters are socialists. They fail to understand that those 60% will do nothing to support them. The 40% who are Conservative, are the ones who own businesses, employ workers and don't have the time for silly parlor games. They are also the ones who have the money to advertise.

Look at the failed prorogation protests. The media spent weeks yapping about how upset the "grassroots" were and then nobody showed up to protest. More people showed up to protest the coalition by far, but the media refused to cover it.

How do we fight back? Stop going to CBC, CTV, Global, Globe and Mail, and the Toronto Star. Go to blogs. We need a few blogs that will summarize what those sites are covering. Send your traffic to that blog, and read the article there. Email advertisers, tell them you will not buy their products because you disagree with the politics of the station their ad is running on. Get FOX news, and listen to radio talk shows like Rutherford.

You do not have to personally go out and protest, you can do it right from your computer. Start your own facebook group to abolish the CBC, the Canadian Wheat Board, and any other lefty organization that ticks you off. Send letters to the editor. Call up your MP, that should be real fun if you happen to have a lefty MP.

Your MP will react to constituents calling them about issues, make sure you call them and let them know what you want them to do for you. We should be calling all opposition MP's to tell them to stop the clown act and start acting like adults. They need to grow up. Even my Liberal parents told me they can't watch the news anymore because it is so biased, and that was at Christmas, before the media really revved up into high whine gear.

They are acting like babies, so let's give them a soother....quit watching them. It's hard to sell advertising when you have no viewers, except for CBC, they get $1.2 BILLION a year from us taxpayers so they can give us the finger and not worry about losing their jobs.

I say, give them the finger right back, stop watching them and call up their advertisers and tell them you refuse to buy their products. Boycott the biased media. Let's do a FOX here in Canada, buy the National Post and the Sun productions, let's get their numbers up so companies will advertise with them.

Parachuted Into A Riding?

Short post tonight because I was tied up talking to my youngest about girls. It was a fun discussion. The kid is really level headed. One female living with 3 males can get challenging...for the males. HA!

I love this cartoon about Green Lizzy:

Source: http://www.edmontonsun.com/comment/cartoons/

Seeing as I mentioned kids, be on the lookout for H1N1, known as swine flu, if your kid looks like this in the morning:

KEEP THEM HOME!!

It's not even Friday yet, but I couldn't help myself. (Lefties, this is a joke!)

As far as the big scoop that the Liberals got by secretly video taping PM Harper's speech? We need more of those secret tapes. Seriously, CBC is so Liberal friendly that they don't even realize that they broadcast the Conservative message across Canada today...good work CBC, for once. Keep those secret tapes coming.

Lefty Media In Full Cry!

The Globe and Mail is leading the way, with the CBC close behind. Day after day, the Globe prints an anti-Conservative article to get their comment section going. Witness this article from yesterday, comments are still not closed even though more than 800 commenter's responded. Who reads 800 comments? If you care to read those comments, most are by lefties slanting the story as fast as they can type, it shows their desperation. I bet the Globe comments section is one of the most popular, problem is that does not necessarily translate into increased sales. Watch for comment sections to get random advertising pop-ups!

Here's another anti-Conservative article. And another. Go read them if you want, but why bother? Same stuff day after day gets boring. Pay for that if you want, but you can read it online, and comment too, it's two hits for free!

Now, the taxpayer funded CBC should also get some light shed on it, thanks to Reid! This is a must read post! It shows the bias of CBC's Don Newman, proof positive that Canada's non-profit plastic surgeons should not be used for face lifts.

Is all this blustering by the opposition and media reaching the average Canadian? NOPE! How do I know? By the conversations at work, nobody is scandalized by Bernier, they have no clue who he is, and they don't care. The media is shrilling for the Liberals, with no effect. Why? No one is listening to them anymore.

You can only cry wolf so often.
