The Liberals refusal to back down, is deplorable. I also saw McGuinty on CTV, funny how that video hasn't been posted on CTVNews, typical arrogant Liberal trying his hardest to spin the whole issue. That's what's deplorable.
Really, the whole Liberal party is deplorable, they just don't see it. Neither do their supporters, who I notice are strangely silent today. Guess even they can recognize when something is deplorable.
They yell and scream when a 20 year old tape of a Conservative MP surfaces, they stomp their feet until they get an apology and even that's not enough, they want blood. So, what does the Liberal riding President, who published the murder of PM Harper and Laureen joke, have to say for herself? Did she apologize? NOPE!
"Dykstra has not conducted himself in a manner I would expect from an elected official," said Jane Cornelius, the president of the Liberal riding association in St. Catharines. "An elected official who had concerns would have contacted me. I think this is further evidence of the ongoing maligning of people and their character."
It was Cornelius who included the joke in a column she wrote in the association newsletter. In her column, she prefaced the joke by saying, "I hope this brings a smile and a chuckle."
It was her doing, she published it, but she blames the Conservative MP Dykstra, she even says he's maligning people. Well, duh lady, look in the mirror why don't you. You think it's a joke to talk about murdering the PM and his wife? Adding Laureen into the joke was deplorable, but the whole joke was deplorable.
"If I were Ben or Rachel, I don't think I'd be too excited about seeing this joke about my parents," said Dykstra. Ben and Rachel are the Harper's young children.
Cornelius conceded it would not be appropriate to tell such a joke to Harper's children.
"But the joke is in a riding association newsletter. It's not in the newspaper or on the six o'clock news," said Cornelius.
Oh...so it's not in the MSM so no harm done? Well MS Cornelius, I hope all this attention is bringing a "smile and a chuckle" to you, it's now in a newspaper!
Will any Liberal anywhere, EVER take responsibility for their own actions? Do Liberals know how to apologize? Any Liberal???? Cue the crickets.
