When The Media Gets Hysterical....

You know the Conservatives are on the right track! All Bob Fife could blab about was how reporters were getting no respect from the PM, do they even think for a moment, that they have done nothing to deserve that respect?

Are they so clueless that they think they can endlessly bleat about knuckle dragging Conservatives being wrong headed, and still expect unlimited access to our Prime Minister? The french reporters are the worse, their questions are always confrontational and disrespectful. So is the CBC reporter, who ever he is, he doesn't have much upstairs does he? The media constantly attaching him, might make our Prime Minister just a little bit reserved about granting questions to those who are out to crucify him for anything he says.

I have noticed that a lot of new poster's are showing up on the National Post website, all of them lefties, they distort the comments and take over. This shows how desperate they have become to gain power. They spread lies endlessly on every website. It is time for Conservatives to fight back. Sign up to the CBC, CTV, Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, and National Post sites, and even if you don't comment, give a thumbs up for the Conservative posters you agree with, and a thumbs down for the lefty comments you disagree with. It's a form of protesting that is easy to do, and will reduce your blood pressure, plus it is only week one of the election, anything can happen. You can bet the media will get some "scandalous" material from the civil servants or unions, who are determined to create the three headed monster that is the coalition.

A perfect example of lefty media supporters, is this article by Ivison. It is a total fluff piece about how cuddly Iggy has become. It must be that Conservative blue sweater! Why wasn't Iggy wearing a red sweater? Is he scared of associating himself with Liberals?

Mr. Ignatieff has said things he probably would like to take back – notably the admission in an interview with the National Post that he would not support an unchanged Conservative budget, which suggests we may have to do this all over again soon, if the Tories are returned with a minority.

Yet to this point, none of it is sticking. For a man with Russian and Scottish ancestry, he is having the luck of the Irish – the road is rising up to meet him and he has the wind at his back.

The wind is going to send him right back to Haaarvard, where he belongs. The road is rising up to meet him and he is going to get a severe case of road rash! Ivison has his head so far up Iggy's butt, I wonder how he can still write a biased column like this piece of junk without air.

Iggy did declare himself a Democrat from his heels to the bottom of his toes, but of course the media made no mention of that little faux pas. Aren't Democrats Americans, not Canadians? Why didn't the media pounce all over Iggy the American for declaring himself a Democrat? I guess they didn't want to reinforce the truth about Iggy being more American than Canadian.

I am tired of the press oozing their support for the Liberals. I am tired of the Liberal backroom boys determining how we should vote. They are so starved for power they are starting to make mistakes.

Jack Layton goes to Quebec and tells them that he will shut down the Alberta oilsands.

NDP Leader Jack Layton is vowing to cut the fossil fuel subsidies for Alberta's oilsands and funnel that money instead into paying for clean power initiatives.

Layton made the announcement after a campaign stop in Montreal, where he toured an environmentally friendly business park.

Funny he didn't mention that on his Edmonton campaign stop! I wonder why? Did he seriously think in this day of instant messaging that Alberta would not hear about this? Can I say he is an idiot or is that too violent? To make matters worse for the lefties, Iggy joins in the coalition:

Coalition partner Iggy agrees with him.

Obviously Iggy was out of the country when Trudeau decimated Alberta and stole over 120 Billion dollars from us to give Quebec a blow job with our money. Quebec is still getting that blow job, but they are not coming due to dysfunctional socialist ideology. It is making them impotent and powerless. As a historian, maybe, just maybe, Iggy would understand the poop he just stepped into with one little tweet, or is that a twit?

Maybe they should have checked with their American idol, Obama, before they started slagging Alberta, again.

WASHINGTON — The heated policy debate over Alberta’s oil sands took centre stage Thursday in the U.S. Congress, with Republican lawmakers claiming President Barack Obama has “failed to act” swiftly enough to ensure a secure long-term supply of Canadian crude.

A day after Mr. Obama said the U.S. will need “steady and stable and reliable” Canadian oil as it slashes overall imports over the next decade, GOP lawmakers said there was an “urgent” need for the U.S. to further tap Canada’s market by approving Calgary-based TransCanada’s $7-billion Keystone XL pipeline from Alberta.

Let the Greens scream, and the other lefty socialists faint, their hero, Obama, is going to support the Alberta oil sands. As my lefty trolls would say....HA HA HA HA HA!!! Priceless!

It's Time For A Conservative Majority If You Love Canada!

More scandal by the media, they refuse to tell the real truth!

On Wednesday, Agop Evereklian, the Tory candidate in Pierrefonds-Dollard, was forced to replace his campaign manager, Giulio Maturi. The move followed an article in Le Devoir noting that Mr. Maturi was back at work for the Conservatives after being shunned by the party when he was linked to a municipal fundraising scandal.
Interesting, the reporter, doesn't even bother to goggle who caused the problem for Maturi. It turns out that it was a Paul Martin Liberal!

Benoit Labonté was an aide to former Liberal PM Paul Martin. That's right, he's a Liberal. So I guess the media don't think it's worth mentioning. The thing is he seems to have a somewhat shady past himself. The media has run with his allegations, despite the denial from Mr. Maturi that it ever occurred. But what of Benoit Labonté? Well, you would think the media might mention this, no?

"Montreal opposition leader Benoît Labonté is denying allegations he had dealings with the construction entrepreneur at the centre of the city's water-meter scandal.

The allegations were reported Friday by RueFrontenac.com, the online news site written by the locked-out journalists from the French-language daily Journal de Montreal.

Labonté met with Tony Accurso in March 2008 while preparing to launch his bid to lead the Vision Montreal party, the website said, citing anonymous sources.

The website alleges Labonté eventually asked for and received more than $100,000 in donations from Accurso."
Maybe our reporters need to go back to school, they will not qualify for the Liberal goody give away of $4,000, but they seriously need to learn to do more than spout their opinions.

Like this reporter:
However, the news that Mr. Ignatieff will not support a Tory budget will bolster Stephen Harper’s claim that Canadians should give him a majority to end the parliamentary logjam. It will come as welcome news to the Prime Minister, who has been on the defensive since the election campaign began.
By contrast, Mr. Ignatieff has been cruising, visibly relaxed and confident. At an event in Vancouver, the Liberal leader said he couldn’t remember having as much fun in politics as he’s had in the past few days on the campaign trail.
Maybe Iggy is relaxed because he knows he is going back to Haaarvard soon and won't have to worry about what happens to Canada when Bob Rae forms a coalition government.

Watch this to see, if PM Harper is defensive. He is relaxed, and rocks the house. All his venues have been full to capacity and beyond, as CTV reported about the Montreal rally. Maybe the reporter should stop making things up.

H/T to Dr. Roy for this video:

Finally, information on the Liberal candidate for Edmonton-Strathcona, a 20 year old college student is set up as a sacrificial lamb so the Liberals can at least say they ran a candidate. Linda Duncan won last time because the Liberals and NDP formed a coalition to defeat the Conservative MP, it worked last time and they are thinking it will work again. How desperate are the Liberals to be sending a 20 year old student into the lion's den of politics? Seriously.

EDMONTON — A 20-year-old Grant MacEwan University student appointed to run for the Liberals in Edmonton-Strathcona will have to take on a well-funded Conservative candidate but also an unofficial “Liberals for Linda” campaign.
This time university will be done, so no lefty university votes for Linda, plus she has not been a professor since 2008, so she has no students to help her campaign. The Conservatives are throwing all their resources at that riding, it should go blue.

Interesting tidbit, my office mate told me last election that the Liberals were going to vote for Linda in that riding, and just the other day I said it looked like a Conservative majority or coalition, and he said, "yes, and the Conservatives will not get a majority". I guess the Liberals are happy with the coalition option. So, let's get out there and make that majority happen! We have to fight the Liberals, NDP, Greens, Bloc and the media. We are also fighting an unofficial "Liberals for any Liberal/NDP/Green/Bloc campaign" .

Maybe Iggy is "relaxed" because he finally made the decision to escape Canada and politics, while PM Harper is "defensive" because he actually cares about what happens TO Canada. One thinks Canada is made up of peasants who aren't listening to him, the other knows how precious Canada is, and wants to improve it, so it can shine.

I will take PM Harper over some American faux PM any day, and I will fight hard for my country, Canada. This is not a game, this is about a takeover of Canada by radical leftists who want power, and could care less about what happens to Canada. This is one of the most important elections Canada has ever had. If they get away with this, the Conservatives will never gain power again. DO NOT let the media sell Canada down the river, like they did to the US by getting Obama elected.

It's time for us to stand up for Canada, again! Our only chance is a Conservative majority. Then we can make sure riding redistribution happens and funding by taxpayers to political parties becomes a thing of the past. It's time for a Conservative majority if you love Canada!

Ignore The Media Day!

Sun TV News is sadly necessary in this great country of ours. I am sick and tired of faux scandals and reporters misrepresenting the issues. They can stuff their Iggy unibrows where the sun don't shine, and follow it up with Layton's mustache and Duceppe's hair net.

The Conservatives have to be so squeaky clean that even simple volunteers are crucified and called disgraced...

Disgraced Tory staffer resigns from Strathcona Conservative’s campaign

Watch the video, the reporter actually calls PM Harper.....EX Prime Minister Harper, that's how stupid they are, or how biased, I'm not sure which.

How about the media talk about a Liberal Senator who was convicted of fraud just a few days ago? The Liberals loudly shout that he was disowned by the party, so he really isn't a Liberal anymore. That Liberal Senator resigned from the Senate just before he lost his gold plated pension, not a peep from the media.

How about the media talk about a Liberal MP who is running again while fighting off criminal charges? He is still a Liberal. Silence from the media on this guy.

How many banned Adscam Liberals are helping out as "volunteers" during this election? We will never know, the media won't tell us. They are silent.

We have Duceppe calling PM Harper a liar, when the video from 2004 clearly shows him saying there was NO coalition, but the media let him get away with it, and ignore it.

I would like to start an ignore the media day. A day that all Canadians, of all political parties, shut them off, and shut them up, kind of like earth hour. CBC wouldn't care because they are taxpayer funded, but Global and CTV should worry. Whether they are taxpayer funded of not, they should be interested in the truth, not as they see it, but from all sides, and that is what they are not doing, reporting the full stories.

I wonder if they have to take showers to get the dirty feeling off of their minds, or do they just drink a lot and drown any twinges of conscience they might feel for lying, misrepresenting and distorting the truth.

Families Matter To Conservatives....

The opposition? Not so much. They talk big, promise the moon, and fail to deliver every single time.
They whine about the deficit that they FORCED PM Harper to incur, then they whine about the Conservatives not implementing the family income splitting fast enough, which would cause an even bigger deficit. I'd tell them to give their heads a shake, but it would probably dislodge the one functioning brain cell they have left.

I love the plan by the Conservatives to allow income sharing for families with children under 18 years old. I also like the fact that it will only be implemented when our deficit is under control. By the time this happens, my two boys will be over 18, but that doesn't bother me in the least. It would have been nice to get the tax benefit, but at least young families will get the tax break.

The snarky response from both Layton and Ignatieff was to be expected, they have no plan and no policies. The lefty media of course supported Iggy. Funny how they will not report on this little gem:

Duceppe and Layton need to apologize for lying to Canadian voters. Such sad, sad little leaders, of sad, sad little parties. No morals, no policies, nothing except the raping of Canadian taxpayers to pay for their little schemes.

From all reports PM Harper had a full house in Beaumont, which is about 10 minutes out of Edmonton. I liked seeing that Laureen is traveling with him, she is a live wire, and a secret weapon for the campaign. Watch the first few minutes of this coverage of PM Harper's stop here in Edmonton.

NDP MP Linda Duncan is going down so that Alberta can be all blue, and she will not get a golden pension for life! She thinks she can get the oil sands closed down without it impacting her riding. What is it with former professors and a lack of common sense?

Re-Elect My MP James Rajotte!

I think we have to stop letting the media determine this election. It's not just all about the leaders, it's also about the candidate in your area. We need to highlight all Conservative MP's or candidates. To start off, I want to highlight my MP, James Rajotte.

I have met him many times, and have been impressed every time. He is a hardworking, honest, down to earth person. He gets votes from all parties because he is not partisan. He also asks his members how he should vote on sensitive issues. He has been the chairman of the industry committee, but most recently he has chaired the finance committee, and it hasn't always been easy.

And the Liberals want to form a coalition with the NDP? Yikes. Add the Bloc into the mix and it gets even more scary.

I support my MP, James Rajotte, I am sure he will win again, why wouldn't he? He's smart, knows how to keep rowdy NDP MP's in line, and he works really hard to help people in his riding. I actually think he might be a candidate to become a Minister! Check out his website, he has a really cool talk show.

I hope other Blogging Tories will highlight their Conservative MP or candidate. Let's get ahead of the media, don't let them run this election.

If you can, go out and show your support for the Conservatives. PM Harper is going to be here on Monday. Take video for me, I have to work and can't make it, but if you can, make sure you go. Send your video to me at hunterinalberta1@hushmail.com.
On Monday, Stephen Harper is set to appear at Beaumont's Ecole Bellevue School at 4:30 p.m.

Those who wish to attend must pre-register by 5 p.m. Sunday. They can do so by calling 780-934-3630 and leaving a message with their name, civic address and telephone number.

Registration can also be done by writing to conservativeevent@gmail.com, or by clicking here.

The Three Retirees Force An Unwanted Election.

The last kick at the cat for our three retiring opposition leaders. Larry, Curly and Moe want to retire, so they decide to go out in a blaze of glory. They get together and form a coalition of losers, it is their last chance to take power.

Jack has health issues (get better) and Mulclair is breathing down his neck waiting to take over. Duceppe wants to get into Quebec provincial politics and Iggy just wants to go home to Haaarvard. So they collude together to bring down the Conservative government, that they hate. They grab onto the first misstep they can, the Bev Oda "NOT" incident. They blow it out of proportion, and with a majority on the committee claim that the Conservatives are in "contempt" of Parliament.

This is the trigger they needed to pretend that an election was necessary. It is so slimy, so blatant, that Canadians are disgusted with their behaviour. Notice how the poll numbers are increasing for the Conservatives. Contrary to what the opposition think, voters are NOT stupid.

It makes for good sound bites on TV, but it will fail to convince voters. Iggy says no coalition if he gets a minority, well duhhh. He needs to say no coalition if PM Harper gets a minority. We are waiting.

Why would a party with polls showing them at 25% and dropping force an election? The only reason for them to do it would be if they had an agreement with the NDP and Bloc to form the next government. Unelected Liberal leader Iggy wants to become the unelected PM. This is so disgusting on so many levels that I can't believe anyone could vote for his party.

The obvious solution to prevent the takeover of our government by socialists and separatists is to give the Conservatives a majority.

Our Parliament has been dysfunctional because the opposition refuse to vote with the Conservatives. It's time to give the opposition the boot. This election is going to get very nasty, because lefties themselves are unhappy, dissatisfied people. I don't even think they like themselves. For example we have a National Post commenter :

NWOBOB

What we really want to hear about endlessly is the coalition that is so vivid in Mr Harpers imagination.
Why would we want to hear more about that nasty contempt of parliament thing, just because it is the first time it has ever happened in Canada, (or for that matter, the Commonwealth) ; why it's just so embarrassing .

In 2008 the opposition MP's ALL signed an agreement to form a coalition to take over power from the elected Conservative party. Everyone in every opposition riding needs to ask their MP whether they still stand by their signature on an agreement that is still active. Get their response on camera. If they did it once, they will do it again.

The three retiring Amigos should be ashamed of themselves for forcing an election no one wants to feed their egos.

A Conservative MAJORITY is the only solution.

Earth Hour...Creating Babies!

I sarcastically mentioned to hubby, that we needed to turn our lights off today between 8:30 and 9:30. He thought for a second, then responded:

"There are going to be a lot of babies born in nine months!"

Earth hour, promoting the expansion of our population! Not quite what they wanted. Our lights will be blazing, and hubby will just have to imagine what candlelight would have done for our evening. HA!

Celebrate the best invention/discovery even in man's history, by turning those lights ON!

Friday Night Funnies: Bite Me!

Bob Rae and Iggy, two old lions suffering from power"I"tis.

While the opposition take down the government, they ignore the real issues.

Garfield on the oil crisis:

A lot of folks can't understand how we came
to have an oil shortage here in Canada.

Well, there's a very simple answer, nobody bothered to check the oil.

We just didn't know we were getting low.

The reason for this is purely geographical.

Our Oil is located in:

ALBERTA
SASKATCHEWAN
BRITISH COLUMBIA
MANITOBA
COASTAL NEW BRUNSWICK
COASTAL NEWFOUNDLAND

Our DIPSTICKS are located in OTTAWA

Any questions?
No? . . . Didn't think so.

------------------------------------------------------------

Canadians response to Iggy:

-----------------------------------------------------------

Question#1: How do you piss off Conservatives ?

Answer: Tell them lies.

Question#2: How do you piss off Liberals?

Answer: Tell them the truth

------------------------------------------------------------

Liberals during the election:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe they can learn something from this video:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Opposition members of the committee that convicted the Conservatives of contempt:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Solution to the problem in Libya: They want a new Muslim leader, I say, give them Obama. Solves two problems.

-------------------------------------------------------------

This next video is a perfect representation of Iggy, one minute he's scared and the next he's laughing hysterically. Flip Flop.

-------------------------------------------------

Count Eyebrow after one week of campaigning:

I love the smell of a majority in the air! The lefties are just so out of touch, they think calling an election will improve their position. Think again.

Helping Gays and Christians

First off, I think this is a good initiative as long as we are really helping those who are at risk.

Ottawa has pledged $100,000 to support persecuted gay and lesbian refugees who flee to Canada.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced Thursday that the funding will launch a pilot project in partnership with the Rainbow Refugee Committee, a Vancouver-based group that helps persecuted gay, lesbian, transgendered and bisexual people make refugee claims.

Saving those who are threatened with death is a good thing. Now I want those Christians who are being threatened to also get help.

Thousands of Christians have been forced to flee their homes in Western Ethiopia after Muslim extremists set fire to roughly 50 churches and dozens of Christian homes.

At least one Christian has been killed, many more have been injured and anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000 have been displaced in the attacks that began March 2 after a Christian in the community of Asendabo was accused of desecrating the Koran.

Why can't these Christians be allowed to get the same protection from our government as gays? Both groups are in danger, both groups need to be given refugee status in Canada.

It will not happen as long as we have idiots like this:

“I want to shoot everyone in this room,” a McGill University student recently announced using his online Twitter feed, claiming he had surreptitiously “infiltrated” what was in fact an open film screening of Indoctrinate U, hosted by Conservative McGill and Libertarian McGill. “I should have brought an M16,” read another of his messages. In short toxic tweets, the student called the conservative gathering “a Zionist meeting” and a “Satanist ritual,” while sprinkling in insults about Jews.
Yikes, we have a serious nut case here, but I bet that they will be coddled and hugged by the "progressives".

I do not want more boat loads of illegal immigrants showing up on our shores. We have enough "real" refugees to deal with, let alone illegal cue jumpers, who are not really refugees. Canada has opened it's doors to all who want to come here for a better life. It's time for us to stop taking in the drug dealers and unemployable ingrates.

Funny how the left will help gays but bitterly oppose any help for Christians in Muslim countries. Why are those on the left so scared of Christians but supportive of Muslims who stone women to death? It continues to puzzle me because the Liberals are trying to portray themselves as the family guys, while the lefty feminists ignore the human rights of women in Arab countries.

I think both gays and Christians need Canada's protection.

So, We Are Having An Election Because????

Because....

Iggy needs to go back to Haaarvard?
Layton was bullied by his own MP's? (I wouldn't put it past Pat Martin and Mulclair)
The opposition can't work with anything that smells like a Conservative?
It's spring and it's a good time to spend 300 million?
Conservatives are bullies?
Liberals are pathetic?
NDP are wrong headed?
Bloc are only interested in stuffing money into their pockets?
Duceppe looks good in a hair net?
Harper sang out of tune once?
Layton believes he deserves to be PM?
Iggy isn't really a real Count?

Add your own because.....

Oh, and for all those lefties denying that there is a coalition afoot. Here is what happened in one riding last election.

No coalition? Right! Is that bridge to Hawaii sold yet?

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Conservative Majority OR Opposition Coalition?

Could the coalition be plotting to vote non-confidence in the Conservative government with their trumpeted up charges of "contempt", then go to the GG to show that they are ready to take over the governing of Canada?

Could they be that stupid? It didn't work right after the last election, they might feel that it could work this time, before an election, especially with the GG saying that a coalition government is possible.

No. They might be a coalition, but I think they feel that all their faux scandal mongering is enough to get them enough votes to form a Liberal/NDP coalition, with the Bloc's help in taking over Canada's Parliament.

I wish them no luck. This "possible" election is going to be framed as a "Conservative majority or Opposition coalition". Voters will have to make the choice between a stable Conservative government for 4 years with a majority, or an unstable coalition government that wants to raise taxes and spend Canada further into debt during economic uncertainty.

I'm betting Canadians will go for a Conservative majority, even with the biased media working for the coalition.

Coalition Cries "Contempt"! YAWN

It fell pretty flat didn't it? Really, the coalition were all prepared for shocked gasps and wringing of Conservative hands, and they got nothing. Yawn. What did they expect?

The Conservatives didn't release some cost numbers, and that is worthy of the FIRST contempt of Parliament ever? They look like idiots. Worse for them, they look like partisan coalition members using their majority in committee to create another "scandal". Give it a rest.

I hear that NDP MP Pat Martin is backpedaling about finding Minister Oda in contempt, why?

The NDP MP has taken a lot of heat for his behaviour Friday. He’s been called a bully and even “sexist,” which he says he profoundly resents. “I think it’s sexist to treat a minister with kid gloves just because she's a woman,” he said. Although Mr. Martin was brought in to question the minister – he says he was “riding shotgun” – he is not part of the committee’s deliberations.
Dang, who would have called him sexist, after his attack on two female Conservative MP's? I know for sure I called him a bully. He was disrespectful of a Minister of the Crown and now he's whining about taking some heat for it? BOO HOO!Was he reading the Blogging Tories this weekend? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. You say it, you better be prepared to get called on it! Immunity or not.

Out of all the posts and videos this weekend, the most important of all is this one by Sandy.

If ever Canadians needed proof of a Liberal entitlement culture in certain scholarly and foreign aid circles in this country, this CIC article says far more than I ever could. See also the original piece at the “Embassy” magazine site as well, although you have to be a paid subscriber to get the whole article. Whatever the case, it shows that CIDA public servants have a lot of explaining to do. Titled “CIDA revamp models coming fast amidst fear, anger over Tory plan,” it clearly shows what started and is the driving force behind the witch hunt and faux scandal against Conservative Government International Affairs Minister Bev Oda.
........

“But while each proposal has its own specific vision and focus, the consensus is that these plans aren’t being developed for the current government. Rather, they are being crafted for future governments interested in undoing what many feel is the damage being caused by the Conservatives.”

“After their presentation at the University of Ottawa, the two men
were invited to CIDA for the afternoon where they met with senior managers as well as representatives from IDRC, the Finance department and other officials.”
Well, well, could the snivel servants be behind the faux outrage of the lefties towards Minister Oda? Undoing the damage being caused by the Conservatives? If CIDA, created by Mo Strong, wants to see undoing of damage, how about we cancel them, as a useless lefty special interest group? HA!

“‘I think there is this desire to get past the Conservative years,’ says Mr. Pearson. ‘That’s what I’m hearing more and more from everybody, including international development folks, in ministries overseas. Let’s get past the Conservative years and let’s develop a model where Canada can re-engage once the Conservatives are gone.’”
Get past the Conservative years? HA! Oh, those poor lefties, wishing for days gone by, where they got everything they wanted on the taxpayer dime. Maybe these special interest groups should get a real job, and stop sucking at the taxpayer teat.

What is most disturbing about this article is the sense of entitlement to our tax dollars without any need to justify the theft. KAIROS is not entitled to our tax dollars. Maybe they should start working for the funds they need. Have a bake sale.

Coalition cries "contempt"? I cry entitlement by special interest groups. Shut the tap off!

Wrap Up Of The Bully Boys In All Their Glory

I'm in shock that the opposition coalition thinks they can get away with verbal abuse of a Minister, especially a female minority Minister, but they have no class, and no honour. I hope voters in their ridings make them pay.

The opposition has the majority on committees, and can stop any Conservative policy they want. They can play silly political games, and they do, at every opportunity they get. They have crossed the line on many occasions, but this is not the time to play those silly partisan games. Claiming a Minister is in contempt of Parliament is serious, but the bully boys are thinking election, not about what is best for Canada. They do not care about Canada, they just want power and they can taste a coalition that would allow them to run Canada into the ground.

Watch these characters, they show no respect for a Minister. They do not respect females or minorities. Look at the table of white old men attacking a female minority MP. That is how other females will see it. So much for the NDP and their fight for female equality.

Bully boys. If they find Bev Oda in contempt of Parliament, they are only showing how much they hate anything Conservative. Minister Oda should sue the butts off of these old men.

It's time for a majority, so that the government can actually get things done. If the opposition are so bankrupt that they need to charge a Minister with contempt to try and win votes, they deserve to be punted out of their pension rich seats.

The Liberals better be careful, because if they ever get a minority, the same thing can happen to them, but they aren't smart enough to think two steps ahead now are they?

Martin and McGuinty, Bully Boys!

Don't have the time to watch everything that went on in the committee? Well, here are two videos, compare and contrast the difference.

Finally, after two hours of the opposition interrupting Minister Oda, she gets a chance to clearly explain the FACTS!

A witch hunt is occurring, put on by the the opposition coalition, and it is disgusting. I hope voters understand that it is the opposition who are in contempt of Parliament. I also hope that you email Speaker Peter Milliken and tell him to stop this outrage.

NDP MP Pat Martin, Check Your Meds!

Jack Layton obviously thinks Pat Martin is doing a good job because he appointed him to go and disrupt the committee. The thing is that Martin not only attacked Bev Oda, he attacked all women watching the proceedings. Some women actually felt sick at his verbal abuse of Bev Oda.

What can be said about this MP except check your meds? Why are the opposition acting like 2 year olds? It appears that the CIDA is behind this mess. Some public servant heads should be clued in, they gat paid with our tav dollars and should be accountable to us, the givers of funds.

A very interesting article at Crux of The Matter makes me believe that the Liberal NGO's and public servants are trying to take down this government because they are getting their goodies taken away.

Bev Oda Unedited!

If you haven't seen the committee meetings, here is Bev Oda's opening statement, unedited.

If the opposition claim she is in contempt of Parliament, they are the ones who will look like idiots!

Now, I have more editing of videos of Pat Martin to get to, watch for more on the lame opposition and the angry Pat Martin, coming soon to this blog!

The Opposition In Canada Is A Joke!

The opposition have been whining and crying wolf for 5 years, it's time for them to grow up and work towards making Canada better. Unfortunately they aren't interested in Canadians or Canada, they are only interested in their parties gaining power, at any cost.

The committees are dysfunctional because the majority vote is by the opposition. Remember, the Conservatives are the minority on just about every committee in Parliament, so the opposition parties can make wild accusations against the government and then vote for those wild accusations.

How competent are those opposition MP's? Well, you decide.

“They lie consistently to Parliament and to committee. They lie by saying that they’re providing all the numbers when they don’t and then the numbers they actually do provide can’t be trusted,”said Liberal Scott Brison who first asked the government to come clean on costs.

“We’re at the end of our rope here with this government.”

NDP defence critic Jack Harris slammed the latest figures that include select U.S. government tables that have been deemed unclassified, suggesting the breakdown still doesn’t constitute an “independent cost analysis.”

“What they’ve provided now under duress is something that’s totally inadequate,” he said.

Hey Brison, provide some proof that they lie, don't just spout inane Liberal talking points. The NDP is just as bad, why is it totally inadequate? Who are the "postmedia news"? Are they supposed to be biased or is that just how they come across? I'm waiting for some answers....

While we wait, maybe we should look at the real truth behind the Liberals and NDP MP's. Here is a glimpse of how they think (or not). Enjoy!

First up the Liberals:

Next, the NDP:

I would put a Bloc video up, but they are useless and irrelevant so why bother. Quebec doesn't fit into the equation anymore, unless you are the Liberals and want to give them hockey arenas. Go for it Quebec, vote Liberal, or keep voting Bloc, it doesn't matter because the Conservatives are set to get their majority without you. Maybe you should talk to Newfoundland and ask them how that worked for them.

I am tired of the opposition and MSM making up phony "scandals" out of everything the Conservatives say or do. Time to clear out the opposition deadwood, time to vote them off the island of Ottawa!

How would you like to go into work everyday and be told by your 3 officemates that they had decided what you were going to think and do that day, and if you didn't agree or made any misstep, they would go to the boss (Speaker Milliken) and tell him to discipline you? It's time those 3 officemates got their butts handed to them in an election. This is not a radical student union, this is about running our country, Canada and it's future. The opposition in Canada is a joke, it's a malicious coalition of incompetents that don't care about Canadians or Canada, just power.

Backed Into A Corner, In A Round Room!

The opposition have to force an election now. They have backed themselves into a corner, in a round room! They think they have the Conservatives on the run, but the Conservatives are sitting back and watching the opposition chase their tails around the "we will not support the budget" tree. The Conservatives will get butter while the opposition parties are going to be sucking on lemons.

The opposition started playing the budget game early. The Liberals were first out of the post saying they would not support it, trying to force the NDP into supporting it. Then the Bloc came out with ridiculous demands to get their support, it's called blackmail in other countries. Then the NDP, nipping at the Liberal heels, stated they wouldn't support it unless their demands were met. The opposition are so busy chasing each other around the "budget" tree, that they are stuck running around chasing their tails and have forgotten about what Canadians might want. Eventually their momentum is going to carry them into the wall, and we will have the opposition sitting stunned and dazed, wondering where they are and how they got there.

Meanwhile, the Conservatives go on governing, calmly, quietly and competently. That is what the voters see, not the opposition hamsters running in the wheel. Personally, I have lost all respect I had for Milliken, glad he is retiring, too bad he couldn't retire with class instead of making partisan rulings meant to hurt the Conservatives. What those rulings did was allow the opposition to play their partisan committee games, where they have the majority and can show all Canadians what a coalition government would look like. Not very impressive when all they want to do is smear the Conservative government.

Opposition should hold the government's feet to the fire, but that's not what they are doing. They are looking for some scandal (one every week) to bring this government down and the MSM is intent on helping them. They are looking like crybabies and fools. Keep it up, it's working in the Conservatives favour.

Forcing an election is the only way the opposition get out of that round room, even though they know when they open that door, they are stepping out into the air, and they have no parachutes to save them.

Feminists Will Be Foaming At The Mouth!

I was going to say their heads will be exploding, but that's just not politically correct anymore. They are going to go bananas, those little monkeys, when they read this article:

It’s time feminists, who see discrimination everywhere, realized that.....

Women’s choices are not the same as men’s!
The main word, that feminists use endlessly against everything, is that all encompassing word, CHOICE. It's a woman's CHOICE to have an abortion. My body, my CHOICE. It gives them a false sense of empowerment. Yeah! I made the CHOICE to kill my baby! Wrong, but that's only one element to feminism.

One of the other big issues is "equal pay for equal work". Nothing wrong with that, everyone would agree.
Women today achieve great things and can envision the highest levels of accomplishment. But contrary to conventional wisdom, this results not only from actions by feminist groups but also from the profound transformation of the labour market in free societies. In effect, it is due mostly to the technological and industrial progress that brought about a shift from a society where men’s brute force (a biological fact) was needed in the workplace to a knowledge society where almost anyone can sit in front of a computer and generate a decent income.
Ouch, don't tell the feminists that men (metrosexuals excluded) are physically more powerful than women, that is not in their man-hating computer.

In the midst of this evolution and the accompanying successes, it is sad to note that what we hear most often about women is that they need help, they are fragile and poor, they can’t help themselves and are discriminated against. And this comes from feminist groups! They see discrimination everywhere: women sitting on boards, women in politics, women in engineering or mining. But now that women are free to choose their careers, it is possible that they may not be interested in those occupations for all sorts of reasons (travel, long hours, tastes, physical endurance, etc.). We must respect the free choice of women and should not push them into careers they do not want.
Free CHOICE? Are you kidding me? Feminists don't want free CHOICE, they want men out of the picture and all women to be victims, of something, anything. Personal responsibility for their own success or failure is not something feminists understand. They do not want women actually CHOOSING to stay home and raise their family, that is not a CHOICE, to them, it is a regression for their movement, not the empowerment of women. They are not going to like this article from five strong, confident women.

What we want is simple. It has been proven over and over that what it takes to improve anyone’s lot on this earth are economic and legal freedoms enabling us to fulfill ourselves to the best of our abilities — nothing more and nothing less.
To the best of our abilities...that's not something feminists understand. Read the whole article.

The Spirit of The Japanese People and Their Pets!

I have been praying for all people impacted by the latest quake and tsunami in Japan. Let your spirits not be broken by this tragedy. What a spirit the Japanese people have! Such a difference in their response to that of both the Haiti quake and the New Orleans hurricane. No looting. People quietly and politely standing in line for water, fuel, and food. People showing others respect and honouring their grief. A society that respects the individual, and truly treats all people as equals, not the faux equality of the politically correct telling us that all cultures are equal, they are not, just as all individuals are not equal.

Often forgotten during these disasters are the animals. I wonder if the young lady in this picture would leave her luggage behind to save her dog, I suspect she would.
In times of grief and suffering, a dog can provide a silent comfort, like this picture shows.
God might not always live in your heart, but he lives everyday in what you see, feel and do. I am glad that dogs are providing some level of comfort to the Japanese people.

ARAHAMA, Miyagi Prefecture—When the tsunami warnings sounded after the massive earthquake that struck Japan on Friday, Masaki Kikuchi sprinted upstairs to grab his sleeping 12-year-old daughter before racing away to escape the rushing waters.

In the backyard tied to a small shed, Mr. Kikuchi left behind two dogs: Towa, a two-year-old Sheltie and Melody, a one-year-old Golden Retriever. Mr. Kikuchi assumed the giant tsunami that flattened his neighbors' homes and whisked away their cars probably killed Towa and Melody too.

.........

Two days after the earthquake, Mr. Kikuchi ventured out from the evacuation center where his family had reunited unharmed. He walked in rubber boots on the debris-covered roads still covered in floodwater with his feet sinking in the thick mud below.

When he finally got to the house, sidestepping a car that had shifted to block the entrance to the driveway, he could hear the barking.

"I was happy to see them because I had felt badly about leaving them behind," said Mr. Kikuchi. He gave them water, food and brought them inside after cleaning them up.

But the most interesting quote, that gives a real feel for how the Japanese are coping with this disaster, is this:

Ms. Kikuchi, her face still red with excitement, said she was so happy to see the dogs, a bit of good news in an otherwise tragic event. "When my father told me they were alive, I was so excited," she said. "It's been so stressful. It's so good to see them"

Mr. Kikuchi and his daughter said they will come back every day to look after the dogs, but they are not going to bring the dogs to the shelter.

"There are lots of people dead and it's too much to ask to bring the dogs," said Mr. Kikuchi. "It would be inconsiderate to other people's sadness."

The spirit of the Japanese people... maybe we should turn to them for our inspiration next time we have a tragedy impact us. It makes Canadian politics seem so trivial right now.

Oil Sands Are Sexy Now!

Well, time for the eco-nuts to go over to Libya and tell Gaddafi to stop bombing oil rigs, it's bad for the environment, don't you know. Suddenly the Alberta oil sands are looking good to the US. Maybe we should tell them to stuff it! We won't, but they should be made to realize that they are not our only customers.

It has taken war in the Middle East to turn the tide of negative public opinion on the oil sands. After four years of beatings from the environmental movement that severely damaged Canada’s international reputation, the oil sands are re-emerging as a secure source of energy in a risky oil world.

New imagery helped a lot. The pileups of bodies in the evening news, victims of Middle East despots firing at their own people to protect their oil wealth, make the tar pits in northern Alberta look like responsible oil in comparison.

Move along little doggies, your time is done, we see you for what you are, and you are anti-commerce, anti-children and anti-intelligence.

David Wilkins, former U.S. ambassador to Canada and now a lobbyist in Washington for the Alberta and Saskatchewan governments, says the mood in the U.S. capital has changed noticeably in the past few weeks.

“People are listening more,” he said in an interview. “People are more focused on the source of energy coming from Canada, the fact that it’s a stable, friendly country.”

I always liked David Wilkins, you could tell he really liked Canadians. What has his replacement been doing? Anyone heard from him? Anyone even know what his name is? Crickets.

The idea of buying oil from irresponsible governments who use oil money to oppress the population is contrary to U.S. values, she said.

In contrast, “Americans see the values of Canada being aligned and have high opinions of the social structure, the environmental track record. And though they see environmental difficulties, they don’t see them out of scale to other sources of oil and they also see that given the size of the resource, the capital and the people involved, that these challenges can be addressed through technology.”

I guess Ezra Levant was right, our oil is ethical oil. How are the eco-nuts going to counter his book "Ethical Oil" now? When you hear that England is going to have blackouts because they are going to rely on wind power, you have to understand that the eco-nuts want us back in caves, freezing to death. They hate the technology that has allowed us to progress beyond being hunter/gatherers. Funny how they are the ones flying around the world protesting man's achievements, while we drudges stay home working and providing for our families.

“It’s the right place, right time for Canadian energy now,” said Mr. Wilkins, in Calgary this week to announce a partnership with Global Public Affairs, a top national government relations firm, and the South Carolina law firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, where he runs the public policy and international relations practice.

“Canada has got a lot to brag about, from its financial foundation, how it weathered the recession, to the vast sources of energy it has,” all re-enforcing the energy security message.

The change bodes well for pending legislation. Momentum is shifting in favour of approving the much delayed extension of TransCanada Corp.’s $13-billion Keystone Express pipeline system from the oil sands to the U.S. Gulf Coast. One Washington insider said the line is likely to get the go ahead by December, after the U.S. administration feels critics have been given enough time to vent their views.

As the middle east erupts, Canada sails on a steady course, with PM Harper at it's helm. If an election is caused by the opposition, it will show that they could care less about Canadians. They want power, and if that means a coalition, they will step on voters wishes to make sure they get that power.

Biased? The CBC? NO!

Tell me it isn't so! It's subtle, it's sneaky, it's typical CBC.

Read the article, notice no mention is made of Senator Lavigne being a LIBERAL, until near the end, but they mention Conservatives as soon as they can, making it seem that it's Conservatives who are the corrupt ones.

Lavigne is the first senator to face trial since Conservative Michael Cogger was tried over allegations of influence peddling in the 1990s. Cogger was eventually given an absolute discharge in 2001, but resigned from the Senate.
..........

Lavigne's conviction comes as two of his Senate colleagues, Conservatives Doug Finley and Irving Gerstein, prepare to defend themselves against charges they face from Elections Canada over the in-and-out advertising scheme. The first court hearing in the case related to the senators and two other Conservative party officials is set for next Friday.

Opposition MPs have been calling on Prime Minister Stephen Harper to suspend the senators while they are facing charges.
See how the article becomes about the Conservative Senators, not the GUILTY LIBERAL? Finally, near the end of the article, they mention that Lavigne is a Liberal.

Lavigne, a former Liberal MP, was charged by the RCMP in August 2007, and was later censured by his Senate colleagues. Lavigne was kicked out of the Liberal caucus and for nearly four years now he has not been allowed to sit on Senate committees or enter the upper chamber without special permission from the Speaker.

As his case has dragged through the courts, Lavigne has been allowed to continue to spend thousands of dollars in public funds. Since 2007, he has charged taxpayers more than $10,000 a month in travel, hospitality and office expenses. That spending is on top of his $133,000 a year salary.

Typical Liberal, entitled to his entitlements. The Liberals want to go to an election based on ethics? I say, go for it! As for CBC, do they get sponsorship type money from Liberals who can't just give to the Liberal party anymore? Is the CBC a bought and paid for hoe for the Liberals, by Liberals or do they do it for free? We don't know, the CBC refuses to release any information. Maybe we should start boycotting anyone who advertises on CBC.

Friday Night Funnies: Charlie Sheen

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toward the end of the Sunday service, the Minister asked, "How many of you have forgiven your enemies?" 80% held up their hands.

The Minister then repeated his question. All responded this time, except one man, an avid golfer named Walter Barnes, who attended church only when the weather was bad. "Mr. Barnes, it's obviously not a good morning for golf. It's good to see you here today. Are you not willing to forgive your enemies?" "I don't have any," he replied gruffly.

"Mr. Barnes, that is very unusual. How old are you?" "Ninety-eight," he replied. The congregation stood up and clapped their hands.

"Oh, Mr. Barnes, would you please come down in front & tell us all how a person can live ninety-eight years & not have an enemy in the world?"

The old golfer tottered down the aisle, stopped in front of the pulpit, turned around, faced the congregation, and said simply, "I outlived all the sons of bit*hes."

WHY OUR HEALTH CARE COSTS ARE SO HIGH!!!

Bubba had shingles.
Those of us who spend much time in a doctor's office should appreciate this! Doesn't it seem more and more that physicians are running their practices like an assembly line?
Here's what happened to Bubba:

Bubba walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had. Bubba said: 'Shingles.' So she wrote down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat.

Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aide came out and asked Bubba what he had...
Bubba said, 'Shingles.' So she wrote down his height, weight, a complete medical history and told Bubba to wait in the examining room.

A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, 'Shingles..' So the nurse gave Bubba a blood test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, and told Bubba to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor.

An hour later the doctor came in and found Bubba sitting patiently in the nude and asked Bubba what he had.

Bubba said, 'Shingles.' The doctor asked, 'Where?'
Bubba said, 'Outside on the truck. Where do you want me to unload 'em??'

Bob walked into a sports bar around 9:58 PM..
He sat down next to a blonde at the bar
And stared up at the TV.

The 10 PM news was coming on.
The news crew was covering the story
Of a man on the ledge of a large building
Preparing to jump.

The blonde looked at Bob and said,
"Do you think he'll jump?"

Bob said,
"You know, I bet he'll jump."

The blonde replied,
"Well, I bet he won't."

Bob placed a $20 bill on the bar and said,
"You're on!"

Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar,
The guy on the ledge
Did a swan dive off the building,
Falling to his death.
The blonde was very upset,
But willingly handed her $20 to Bob.
"Fair's fair. Here's your money."

Bob replied,
"I can't take your money.
I saw this earlier on the 5 PM news,
So I knew he would jump."

The blonde replied,
"I saw it too,
But I didn't think he'd do it again."......
Bob took the money.

A young man shopping in a supermarket noticed a little old lady following him around. If he stopped, she stopped. Furthermore she kept staring at him.

She finally overtook him at the checkout, and she turned to him and said, "I hope I haven't made you feel ill at ease; it's just that you look so much like my late son."

He answered, "That's okay."

"I know it's silly, but if you'd call out 'Good bye, Mom' as I leave the store, it would make me feel so happy."

She then went through the checkout, and as she was on her way out of the store, the man called out, "Goodbye, Mom."

The little old lady waved and smiled back at him..

Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine into someone's day, he went to pay for his groceries.

"That comes to $121.85," said the clerk.

"How come so much? I only bought 5 items."

The clerk replied, "Yeah, but your Mother said
You'd be paying for her things, too."

Bet you thought this was going to be a tear jerker.

Don't trust Little Old Ladies!!!

Liberals Targeting Kids!

My son (who is not old enough to vote) innocently signed the petition at this site "Stop The Meter On Your Internet". Here is the petition form:

What is OpenMedia's privacy policy? Glad you asked.

Your Personal Information
OpenMedia.ca will send you updates by e-mail. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you may do so by replying to an email, or sending a message to contact@openmedia.ca with the subject heading “unsubscribe.”

We do not share the information you’ve given us with unaffiliated groups without your explicit permission. We may share some of your personal information with the following affiliated groups:

  • Affiliated Third Parties – for example, our database administrators – for the sole purpose of helping Us do our work. These groups do not share your personal information or use it for any purpose other than as instructed by Us.
  • Third Party Administrators, such as organizations we engage to facilitate large distribution of messages. The content of these emails will be from OpenMedia.ca and these third parties do not have direct access to your personally identifiable information.

In addition, with your explicit permission, we pass along certain of your information to the following groups (as is standard practice):

  • Canadian policy-makers, communications companies, news publications and other targets when you choose to use our email tool to send them messages.
Basically, anyone who wants your information will get access to it. Nice. How many teenagers read the privacy policy on any site? None? Now my kids name and email address is being used by a political party. Which political party might that be, you ask? Great question!

Notice how ALL political parties were given this information. Only one party has used that personal information, the Liberals!

Here is the email my son received from Marc Garneau, that out in space Liberal MP:

Subject: UBB: Co-sign my CRTC submission

Industry Minister Tony Clement is all tweet, no action when it comes to usage-based billing (UBB).
Testifying in Parliament last week, he failed to present a vision for Canada’s digital economy or explain how the government will ensure fairness and transparency in building Canada’s Internet capacity.

The fight for an open web is far from over. As I write to you, officials at the CRTC are poring over thousands of submissions about UBB in a public consultation that you helped to force.

Working together, we must make sure the CRTC’s final decision lays the foundation for an open, competitive and affordable Internet. And the only way to do this is to show strength in numbers.

That’s why I’m calling on you to co-sign my submission to the CRTC right now by clicking here.

In my submission, I argue that the Internet is not simply a series of tubes, wires and towers owned and controlled by telecom companies. It is and must be an open network of people, connecting ideas and creativity.

The Liberal Party is calling on the CRTC to expand the scope of its study. In doing so, we join those fighting hardest for an open and competitive Internet, like the Canadian Network Operators Consortium (CNOC), the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC), the Canadian Association of Internet Providers (CAIP), OpenMedia.ca and others.

This is a critical moment for the future of Canada’s digital economy.

After five years in power, Tony Clement and the Conservatives still have no national digital strategy. And it took half a million voices rising in protest for them to wake up to the fact the CRTC’s UBB decision would have set back Canada’s digital economy even further.

Only Michael Ignatieff and the Liberal Party have shown leadership by taking strong positions on net neutrality, open government, broadband access, fair copyright, digital democracy and now usage-based billing.

We have until April 29 to make our voices heard. We support OpenMedia.ca’s letter writing campaign and we encourage you to visit their website to send a submission to the CRTC in your name.

We must win this fight once and for all so that we can begin building Canada’s digital future today.

Please co-sign my CRTC submission so that I can fight for you in Parliament with the force of thousands of voices behind me.

Thank you.

How low can the Liberals go? Using a public petition to gain email addresses of kids and then using them for partisan issues, is pretty low. My son wasn't impressed, neither am I. Needless to say, my son will NOT be signing with marc. It's actually kind of creepy.

I have no problem with the actual issue of the petition. I have a problem with the Liberals using information gained from a petition by a third party. My advise, don't give your information to sites like Open Media. Just like you shouldn't post racy pictures on facebook that your employer might see. Common sense.

Don't Get Mad, Get Positive!

As a blogger, I should be watching all the political shows. I should be watching Question Period everyday, and I should be reading all the newspapers to get a good idea of what the talking points for the day are, for all political parties. I tried that, it was depressing. So, I stopped.

I stopped, because I was tired of reading and listening to leftist slop. I don't need to read the Toronto Star to get the news. They do not report the news, they report their opinions disguised as the news, same with CBC and CTV. I disagree with their opinions, therefore I don't read or listen to them. It's simple, easy and reduces stress.

Of course, my trolls will yell that I'm not getting a rounded opinion if I ignore everything lefty. So what? Why do I need to listen to their yapping?

I am a Conservative, I know what I stand for, and I know what direction I want to see my country go in. If that doesn't match up with lefties views, too bad. Conservatives need to get that spark back, that hunger for our views to be heard. We need to stop listening to the biased MSM, they can't stand us, we know that, so why support them by even reading their views online?

We need to do as Sandy over at Crux of the Matter advocated, don't get mad, get positive. Ignore the opposition gnats, think about how lucky we are that the Conservatives are in government. Think about what an adult Canadian does everyday. We get the kids to school, get ourselves to work, come home and watch curling or the food channel (I love that channel, if I cooked like those chefs, I'd weight 200 pounds), then we go to bed, and repeat it all the next day. Sounds boring, but it's better than being in Afghanistan!

Who is spinning the political issues? The MSM. Why? Profits. Stop going to those papers you disagree with on political issues, as their readership dies, so goes their ad income. If a tiny store in Quebec can be boycotted by lefty activists because they sell shoes from Israel, then we can boycott those newspapers and TV shows that we disagree with as well, fair is fair. Conservatives aren't big on protesting in person, we are too busy working, but we can protest online. We can make sure we comment on articles. We can email our MP's. We can stop being the silent majority, we can make our voices heard through facebook, twitter, and blogging. Don't get mad, get positive!

Here's how you can do it, humour works.

Opposition and MSM Going Back In Time!

To 2008. Do they think we have forgotten about their bad behaviour in committee? If you want to see how a coalition government would work, it's right there for you to see in the opposition controlled committees, and this same behaviour is going on today.

Let's start with the ethics committee (nothing ethical about it) grilling Mayrand the Elections Canada official.

For more on that whole fiasco watch these Youtube videos. (poor quality, but you can still get the essence of what the opposition was up to.) The worse one is the last one where the opposition shuts down the questioning of Elections Canada officials and will not let ANY of the witnesses the Conservatives wanted to appear before the committee appear. Liberal MP Paul Szabo is the committee chairman need I say more?

Ethics Committee Part 1
Ethics Committee Part 2
Ethics Committee Part 3
Ethics Committee Part 4
Ethics Committee Part 5
Ethics Committee Part 6

Remember this is from 2008, three years ago, and the opposition is still trying to make it an issue. Watch part 6, then watch this video:

This is how the opposition runs the committees, to this day!

Here is a blast from the past interview of Rutherford and Peter Van Loan on the whole issue.

Could the opposition and MSM come back into the present? Do they dare talk about how great Canada is doing economically? Do they really think that any of these issues from the past are going to stick in the minds of voters? Elections Canada is shown in those videos to be biased and only worried about their image. The emails clearly show that they are after the Conservatives and they are using our tax dollars to continue to persecute the Conservatives even today. They raided the Conservative party offices (Liberals were there with video equipment before EC even knocked on the door and Elections Canada doesn't know how that happened, but Mayrand investigated himself and it's all okay), took confidential lawyers files, lost their case, and it's only now that they won their appeal (paid for by taxpayers) that the opposition brings the issue back up.

I smell something very, very stinky and I think it's Elections Canada. I can tell you that Brian Lilley's reporting day after day on CBC is having a big impact, people are starting to get fed up with CBC going against the RULES of Parliament. Maybe he can start the same thing with Elections Canada. He will have a show with SunTV, so he will have a bigger impact then he has now. I can't wait! Competition is a good thing, but don't try to tell Liberals that, they only listen to people who agree with their point of view, maybe that's why they are polling in the low 20's.

All this cat wailing is getting boring. NDP MP's Pat Martin and Mulcair are out of control, the Liberals are empty vessels and the Bloc are irrelevant. If they think they can take control of Canada with their coalition they better get in touch with voters.

When You Are Broke, Why Keep On Spending?

The question is, why fund countries that don't need it or hate your guts? Another question is why keep on funding the useless UN? Here is a rant worth listening to:

Will our next budget be a Conservative budget? If the US cuts international funding is it justified? Canada shifted international aid and lost it's seat on the security council. What happens to Egypt or Haiti if the US withdraws it's funding? Do those countries grow up, and take responsibility for their own people? When you are broke, you can't keep on spending, every individual understands that, why don't governments?

Also check out his excellent rant about those squiggly mercury filled light bulbs.

Government, getting too big for it's own britches!

Free Education For All!

Ignatieff's new plan, post secondary education for all who qualify! Problem is that he is discriminating against those kids who don't have the marks to actually get into university.
OTTAWA — On his recent cross-country tours, Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff has talked often about post-secondary education and how his party plans to make it more affordable so that, “if you get the grades, you get to go.”

Does that mean free tuition? More scholarships? And if so, how would an Ignatieff-led government pay for it?

A chicken in every pot! A student in every university, no matter what lame courses they are taking! Great idea Iggy! It's a game winner with my 17 year old who thinks he won't have to work to put himself through college. He has the grades so he thought it would be great to go for free..... until I clued him into a few realities.

Ignatieff needs to understand basic supply and demand. If everyone gets to go for free, then we will have a surplus of graduates, who will have no jobs. How many arts grads do we need? We already have too many political science, history and sociology grads who can't find jobs, why do the Liberals think we need more?

You go to university to increase your employ-ability by being one of the few who achieve a higher level of education. If everyone goes, salaries decrease. Lawyers are already a dime a dozen because no limitations to enrollment exist. Makes me wonder why they limit the numbers of doctors who can graduate, it should be the other way around.

“We’ve got to be there for them when they’re saying, ‘How am I possibly going to afford post-secondary education?’ Especially in Aboriginal communities, especially in immigrant communities, especially in those working-class families that have never had any member of their family go to college or university before,” Mr. Ignatieff said. “We’ve got to be able to say, ‘you get the grades, you get to go.’ ”
Hello Iggy, aboriginals already get FREE post secondary education, and why should we cater to immigrants who have not contributed to our country? Make them pay more not less to enter our education system. Working class families can afford to send their children to college if they save for it. My parents were "working class" and I started working at age 15 to save for university, I made it through without needing any help from my parents or the government. Sure I had to work two jobs during the summer, but I made it, loan free, and debt free even though I had to leave home to go to university.

I am tired of the lefty mindset that the government (taxpayer) is responsible for people from cradle to grave. Stop it. Only mindless idiots who have no initiative of their own want the government to support them for all their lives. Grow up, pay your own way in life.

Delusional Feminists Think They Still Matter!

I'm impressed that the National Post would print this garbage article by Judy Rebick, it gives us REAL women a chance to set delusional feminists straight. Let's start having some fun!

"The women who marched in the first International Women’s Day marches held 100 years ago in Europe — demanding the right to vote and hold office, better pay, training and an end to discrimination"
Absolutely correct and if you happen to notice, all of their demands have been achieved. The feminists have won! Take a bow and quit whining. Too bad feminists will never admit success. Too bad feminists have become so dependent on the public teat that they don't actually know what a REAL job might be.

"When I attended McGill University in the late 1960s, only 30% of the undergraduates were women, and almost no professors or graduate students were female. Abortion and information about birth control were illegal. Women were paid less than men for doing exactly the same job, and made about 60% of men’s wages. And there was only one woman in Parliament. "
Yikes, talk about dated. History is interesting, but it has nothing to do with the actual world we live in today. Feminism had nothing to do with increasing the number of women in universities, it was women WANTING to go to university that accomplished that goal. Those women were not all feminists.

"Between 1970 and 1990 in Canada, we won inclusion of legal equality for women in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, banned employment discrimination against all women (including pregnant women), won pay and employment equity laws, legal abortion, rights for Indian women, a stronger rape law and a divorce law that more fairly established property division."

Wow, you admit that you WON pay and employment equity laws in one sentence and then state this:

"But economic inequality continues, with women earning 80% of men’s wages despite being, on average, better educated."
Earth to feminists, YOU HAVE WON! You can't admit it though, because then all of you in the feminist industry would have no jobs, and no reason for your existence anymore. So you soldier on.

"But inequality within the home is an even greater problem. In Canada, men perform an average of 2.5 hours of unpaid daily work at home, while women do an average of 4.3 hours. So while women now account for 50% of the paid work force, we are still doing almost twice as much work in the home. "
How ridiculous is that? Throw some stats out and hope they mean something. No mention of males working more overtime, no mention of women not wanting to work full time, and no mention of the fact that some females actually enjoy cooking. I thought Trudeau wanted us to stay out of people's bedrooms, so why should feminists be allowed to intrude into our marriages? If I like cooking and my husband does the laundry and we are happy with that arrangement, why should feminists care that it takes me longer to cook than laundry does? It's a weak argument and it is none of the feminists business how we run our household.

"The last Liberal government promised a national child-care program. It would have been much less than we needed, but Stephen Harper’s Conservatives ditched it anyway. Since Harper has been in power, Canada’s record on women’s equality has tumbled. In 2009, we ranked a disgraceful 73rd in the UN Gender Disparity Index."
Oh, cry me a river, still wanting to brainwash our kids with taxpayers money is disgusting and most parents don't want it, that's why the Conservatives got re-elected with a stronger mandate. No more socialist money sucking programs, please. Interesting, from the comments:

Since Harper has been in power, Canada’s record on women’s equality has tumbled. In 2009, we ranked a disgraceful 73rd in the UN Gender Disparity Index.

And in 2010 Canada jumped to 8th under Harper in the UN Gender Disparity Index.

P.S. I do about 85% of the unpaid work around the house and I'm a man, amazing what freedom and choice can provide.

In typical lefty style, Judy nitpicks only those statistics that support her opinion. Like the econuts still say that CO2 is a pollutant and the greenpeace guys still show pictures of white baby seals being clubbed to death when that was made illegal over 10 years ago. We don't need any lefty nannies raising our kids.

"Most of the country’s poor are women and children. They are thus the ones who bear the brunt of cuts to social spending. They also suffer most when the public sector is trimmed, since that is where most well-paid jobs for women are located."
Judy, your desire to encourage divorce, allow abortions and make marriage a bad thing has lead to men not wanting to take responsibility for their children, and I can't say I blame them. You can only be hit over the head with the sexist hammer so often until you cry divorce. Feminists want equal pay for equal work, but could really care less about raising children in a loving environment, they want all kids in state sponsored nanny camps, and they would prefer if men were not involved in their lives.
"My hope is that a new women’s movement will emerge as part of these people’s movements and find its own ways to achieve the next wave of equality that will benefit everyone."
With this statement, Judy shows us that she realizes that the feminist movement is dead. I hope that any new movement will include men and will concentrate on the atrocities facing women around the world. If the feminists weren't a dead movement they might be able to do something good for all those women in Afghanistan who can't even go to school, but the feminists are silent on that issue. Young women today look at feminists and wonder why they still exist, what purpose they serve and why they should have anything to do with them. Not all women are abortion loving, male hating people who want to see marriage and families disappear into some sort of socialist soup.

Many females still want to stay home, raise their own kids and consider families important. I am one of those females. Funny how I can have a career, raise my kids and have a loving relationship with my husband without the need of any interference from feminists. No wonder they can't stand Conservative females, we see through their whining and will have nothing to do with their martyr complex.
