The Opposition Screwed Themselves!

At a time when all other economies are failing, Canadians understood the risk to Canada and elected a strong stable Conservative majority. Thank You Canadians!

I was blasted by my NDP office mate the other day about immigration and how reuniting families should be the priority. Today I was the only one predicting a Conservative majority. I should have laid down some bets with real money involved. Now, I can walk into work with head held high and thumb my nose at the "scared" voters. My office mate even brought up the old "abortion and gay marriage" scare tactic today. I am sure that works well with his NDP buddies, but it didn't sit well with me and obviously it didn't "scare" other Canadians.

God blessed Canada today with 4 years of stable government. PEI and Newfoundland should stop sending their kids here, they should send them to Liberal/NDP strongholds instead. Maybe they can go to Quebec to get their jobs! Oops, not many Atlantic voters speak French, so scratch that idea.

What makes me most thankful is that now, with a majority we will not see a carbon market anytime soon. With a majority, we can finally work together for Canada and Canadians in every province.

Let the "hidden agenda" out.... lowering taxes, less government, and provincial responsibilities respected. YIKES! I'm "scared"! NOT

The opposition called an election based on fake "contempt" charges, and they screwed themselves by electing a Conservative majority. Suck it up princesses. When Duceppe and Ignatieff both lose their seats, you have to think Canadians have made their choice, and their choice is PM Harper!

Power grab! I Love Sun News!

Ignatieff says he is "serene" with the election. Does he realize he is so low in the polls that he should concede the election right now? Or did he purposely spike the election by declaring that he will try to take power if the Conservatives only get a minority? Is he that anxious to get back to his villa in France? You decide:

Power grab is so true. The lefties try to wrap it up in bows and ribbons, but it is really lies and a grab for power.

Let Canadians beware, the Liberals have finally come out and admitted that they will NOT accept a Conservative minority government. A coalition/accord/arrangement, is not just a figment of PM Harper's overactive imagination, it was 100% confirmed by Ignatieff tonight.

What this means in black and white, is if Canadians do not give the Conservatives a majority, we will have a coalition government. We will lose the best Prime Minister Canada has ever had because of a power grabbing opposition who could care less about Canada. They are willing to sleep with separatists to get back into power, and that should disgust all people with even a hint of morals.

Power grab, plain and simple.

Wake up Canada!

Harper 1, Coalition 0 WINNING

My non-partisan hubby watched a few minutes of the debates, and couldn't believe how bad Iggy, Layton, and Duceppe were on the issues. He commented on how they were all attacking PM Harper, and that it made them look bad.

PM Harper did win this debate, Iggy lost. He was actually pathetic. Scripted answers to the questions, looked angry, hand on hip was arrogant, and he got confused near the end, stumbling over his answers.

Trust Jack to provide the zinger of the debate. This was worse than Dion's retake video, because "master debater" Iggy had no answer to Jack's question. He also stopped answering questions when he was asked about his voting record by the press, after the debate. He bolted back into the conference center. While PM Harper walked out the front door, Iggy was walking out the back.

PM Harper stayed calm under an assault from the 3 coalition members. As a matter of fact, the opposition gave him lots of air time because they were all attacking him. He got more response time than the 3 of them combined, and he was able to get out the Conservative message. He appeared to be the only intelligent person on the panel.

Soon, Canadians are going to get engaged, and the Conservative message about either a coalition or a stable Conservative majority will get some attention. I think that Canadians are not really scared about a Conservative majority anymore. They are also sick of having 4 elections in 7 years.

None of the biased media attempts to influence our vote have worked so far. They are getting so desperate that they are clearly showing their true lefty bias. Just like they fought against Ford for mayor of Toronto, they are now fighting against the Conservatives. It will bite them when Sun News comes on line. Thank you Shaw!

(This blog post was written under the influence of honey and lemon in an attempt to stave off a cold, but in the spirit of my Iggy Drinking game, I did add some rum to my drinks!) HA!!

The Iggy Debate Drinking Game!

Here is what you do. Every time during the debate, Iggy says, or does these things, you drink. Seeing as it is a weeknight, I leave the choice of drink to you.

1. Eyebrows, anything with his eyebrows moving...DRINK.

2. Shoulders shrugging...DRINK.

3. Says, "I"...DRINK.

(Maybe we should make this just count the number of times instead, because if we drink every time he says "I", we won't last past the 5 minute mark.)

4. Points his finger...DRINK.

5. Says, "A _____ if necessary, but not necessarily a _____. DRINK.

6. We will have to raise taxes....DRINK.

7. Any reference to Americans or the US, such as "I voted for Kerry" or "the US is my country too". ..DRINK.

8. Coalition, alliance, ...DRINK.

9. Pretending he is just an average Canadian...DRINK.

10. Any reference to "didn't get it done"...DRINK.

11. Lies about not voting in other countries, or voting in Canada...DRINK.

12. Likes his junk touched...DRINK.

13. Likes ladies underwear...DRINK.

And the big one:

14. Any time he refers to himself as being Canadian!...DRINK.

(I suspect we are going to be double drinking because he will try to use the "I am Canadian" line, which means we drink because of the "I" and the "Canadian". )

Okay, your mission is to add to the drink game. To my lefty trolls, this is not about Harper, if you want it to be, go create your own game.

To start the game off, we have the first comment that really illustrates why Iggy is not Canadian:

Jim Lad

10:24 PM on April 11, 2011

While Mr. Ignatieff was gone, I emigrated to this country from Scotland, married a Canadian girl, had two sons, lost my wife to cancer, married again, had another child, saw one son go off to join the Canadian forces, had a thirty year career in entertainment and I don't even get to vote. I used to but Pierre Trudeau and Bill Bennett took the vote away from landed immigrants.
Do I have a grasp of Canadian politics?
Of course I do.
Do I feel qualified to represent Scots in a General election?
Certainly not. I'm completely out of touch with respect to British politics.
To imagine that I could somehow go home and hold the highest office in the land after a thirty year absence? That would take a heck of a lot of arrogance.

More comments like this one should be easy to find. So, get your beer and popcorn ready! Let the games begin!

Free Education For All!

Ignatieff's new plan, post secondary education for all who qualify! Problem is that he is discriminating against those kids who don't have the marks to actually get into university.
OTTAWA — On his recent cross-country tours, Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff has talked often about post-secondary education and how his party plans to make it more affordable so that, “if you get the grades, you get to go.”

Does that mean free tuition? More scholarships? And if so, how would an Ignatieff-led government pay for it?

A chicken in every pot! A student in every university, no matter what lame courses they are taking! Great idea Iggy! It's a game winner with my 17 year old who thinks he won't have to work to put himself through college. He has the grades so he thought it would be great to go for free..... until I clued him into a few realities.

Ignatieff needs to understand basic supply and demand. If everyone gets to go for free, then we will have a surplus of graduates, who will have no jobs. How many arts grads do we need? We already have too many political science, history and sociology grads who can't find jobs, why do the Liberals think we need more?

You go to university to increase your employ-ability by being one of the few who achieve a higher level of education. If everyone goes, salaries decrease. Lawyers are already a dime a dozen because no limitations to enrollment exist. Makes me wonder why they limit the numbers of doctors who can graduate, it should be the other way around.

“We’ve got to be there for them when they’re saying, ‘How am I possibly going to afford post-secondary education?’ Especially in Aboriginal communities, especially in immigrant communities, especially in those working-class families that have never had any member of their family go to college or university before,” Mr. Ignatieff said. “We’ve got to be able to say, ‘you get the grades, you get to go.’ ”
Hello Iggy, aboriginals already get FREE post secondary education, and why should we cater to immigrants who have not contributed to our country? Make them pay more not less to enter our education system. Working class families can afford to send their children to college if they save for it. My parents were "working class" and I started working at age 15 to save for university, I made it through without needing any help from my parents or the government. Sure I had to work two jobs during the summer, but I made it, loan free, and debt free even though I had to leave home to go to university.

I am tired of the lefty mindset that the government (taxpayer) is responsible for people from cradle to grave. Stop it. Only mindless idiots who have no initiative of their own want the government to support them for all their lives. Grow up, pay your own way in life.

The "Truth" Ads Will Work!

I wasn't aware that we were in election mode, but with Iggy doing his 20-11 tour and Layton doing a tour of his own, I guess we should get ready for one in the spring. I say, if the opposition parties want an election, bring it on!

What's so funny is that the opposition can go all over the world, (Rae and Duceppe) ranting and raving, but the Conservatives release some ads, and the left go ballistic. You see, the left want Conservative voices silenced, we are a disease that needs to be wiped out, a movement that impedes their goal for power. We can not stand up for ourselves, we are not allowed to use facts to tear down their ideas, like global warming. They can spew filth and talk about killing but a few ads quoting Ignatieff's true words sends them into a tail spin. Listen carefully to Ignatieff at this "pep" rally, also listen to a person in the crowd yell ( at about 45 sec) out "kill him". Funny, the lefty press sure hasn't reported on this incidence.

Iggy also forgets that he is not in the House of Commons and does not have immunity when he calls MP Baird all sorts of names. If that had been a Conservative, you can bet they would have been replaying it every second of every day for weeks. It shows how immature Ignatieff is and how lefties think.

Didn't Scott Reid also write an article where he asked lefties to "kill him" meaning PM Harper? Funny it seems the Globe and Mail has revised it. Here is the original quote:

Quote: This becomes relevant because suddenly, he is weak. In fact, at this particular moment, he is almost unable to defend himself. Owing to a ridiculously ill-considered act of hubris, he has laid himself vulnerable to his opponents. Their imperative could not be more clear: kill him. Kill him dead. Do not, whatever you do, provide him with an opportunity to extend his hold on power. Because you can be damn certain he will never again be so reckless as to give you a chance to finish him off.
Here is the Globe and Mail doing a "revised" article, without even an apology to our Prime Minister, stupid lefty media:

Do not, whatever you do, provide him with an opportunity to extend his hold on power. Because you can be damn certain he will never again be so reckless as to give you a chance to finish him off.

I was going to post that awful ad that the Liberals used in the 2004 election, where a REAL gun was pointed at us. If that isn't an attack ad, I don't know what is, but don't expect the media to remember that little gem. Iceman found it, and has posted it. Go there and watch it. It's the last one he has posted, called "Revolting Liberal Attack Ad". Revolting is right, I think they even fired the gun, but I can't be sure.

I was also upset today when the National Post journalist Kelly McParland, equated some "truth" ads being released by the Conservatives to the shooting disaster in the US. He is way off base and I usually expect better of him. Very disappointing.

As far as the ads go, I like the one with PM Harper best. Maybe it's a woman thing, but I really connected with that ad. I liked the quiet of the ad, I felt that really was where you could find PM Harper, it wasn't phony, and I wanted to help him with all that work so he could get home to his family. VERY effective. "Here For Canada", excellent slogan! Look for the Beatles mug.

Contrast the two videos. Ignatieff spouting off about MP Baird, or our PM hard at work? I know which one I support. Ignatieff reminds me of my father, old, stuffy and out of touch. (Sorry Dad!).

H/T to Sassy and Iceman.

A Female Is Being Chased By Someone....

Which political leader would she run to for help? Harper, Ignatieff, Layton or Duceppe?

Duceppe, would yell at her to speak French.
Layton would ask if she needs welfare money.
Ignatieff would slowly look up from his book, and ask her if she understood the great fight between the Russians and Ukrainians.
Harper, would notice her problem, and stand in front of her to protect her.

That is why Canadians think he is the best politician to lead Canada:
OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper is convincing Canadian voters that he is the best politician to lead the country — particularly during tough economic times, results of a new poll suggest.
The nationwide survey by Ipsos Reid for Postmedia News and Global Television also found Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff is failing to attract much support from the public and, on many aspects of leadership, he falls behind both Harper and NDP leader Jack Layton in popularity.
As a female, if I was in trouble, PM Harper would be the guy to go to. Not just because he is physically bigger than the other leaders but because he gets things done. He does not back down from his positions, he is honourable and most important you can trust him.

Think about all those guys you dated, were you attracted to the metrosexuals with purses or the rednecks with guns? I was always independently minded and so I was more attracted to the guy who was confident enough to let me be who I was.

Feminists can't handle a real man. They like the creepy crawlers who sue people because their feelings are hurt. Conservative women aren't scared of real men, they embrace them as husbands and trust them to help raise their kids. Conservative women can raise a family, have a career and enjoy life with their strong males. Their husbands are life partners not just one night flings. Babies are cherished and loved, not butchered as inconvenient particles in a body.

I find Liberal/progressive women really irritating. They form committees to discuss how tragic their lives are and accomplish nothing. They refuse to support women in places like Afghanistan who are getting stoned and hung for minor offenses, yet they cry for Khadr, an admitted murderer, to come home to Canada. These women are delusional fools. They are weak and are only attracted to weak males. Thank goodness they think childbearing is beneath them.

If I was ever in danger and needed help from one of our leaders, I would pick PM Harper in a flash. The opposition can label him as a bully, but as a female, I see him as a strong individual who gets things done. I am proud of our Prime Minister. He stands up to foreign leaders, and does not bow down (like Obama) to dictators. He has morals and will not compromise them for votes, and that really ticks "progressives" off. They want him fawning all over them, media especially, and because he doesn't they do everything they can to discredit him. Canadians are not stupid, they understand that our PM is a fair, honest and reliable individual who is leading our country in the right direction. Keep up the good work PM Harper!

(This message is not paid for by anyone, or any political party) HA!

Canada Apologizes For Liberal Opposition!

Minister Cannon was forced to apologize for Iggy's lack of support of Canada. When Canada is going for a seat on the security council, the last thing they need is the opposition in Canada telling everyone that we don't deserve it. That is exactly what Iggy did.

UNITED NATIONS — Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon issued a global appeal Wednesday for countries to ignore a claim by Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff that Canada doesn’t deserve a seat on the United Nations Security Council.

Addressing ambassadors from around the world in Ottawa, Mr. Cannon said Mr. Ignatieff had been “unable to put the interests of his country above the interests of his party.”

How sad the Liberals are, undermining Canada to pander to special interest groups for a few votes. They get so caught up in listening to the far left that they forget that they want to rule Canada, a sovereign nation. What they say and the Liberal media reports impacts ALL citizens of Canada. Do they just not care about Canada's image on the international stage because they are not the government? Either way, they show their contempt for Canada, the nation. You can bet that our Liberal media will be crowing in delight if Canada does not get the spot on the Security Council, and they will blame it all on the Conservatives, not Iggy. How sick are our lefties? They want Canada to fail.

Personally, I could care less if we get any seat on any committee at the UN. They are a corrupt organization that does nothing to save oppressed people. I would be perfectly happy is we quit paying our dues to the UN, and let the organization die.

Mr. Ignatieff provoked consternation, even among some members of his own party, when he last month asked Canadians to consider whether the country under a Conservative government had “earned” the right to what would be its seventh two-year council term since 1948.
I think Iggy forgot that he is Canadian and should be proud of the fact. He got so used to bashing Canada when he was on his 30 year tour, that he still thinks it's okay to do it now. It just slips out without him thinking about it, and then our government has to try to repair the damage. Iggy needs to understand that like it or not, the government the people chose was the Conservative party, and with only 70+ Liberals, they better be asking themselves if they have "earned" the right to get re-elected.

Lame Media Hides Ignatieff's Abortion Blunder!

All quiet on the abortion front. If you didn't read the blogs, you would never even know that Iggy had blundered badly by listening to his far left feminists. Those ladies of the "pink" book, which of course is sexist just by choosing "pink" as their colour, think helping women and children in the undeveloped countries means abortion.

The lame media were quick to realize that Iggy had blundered and disappeared his comments. I had to search their sites to actually find the articles.

Finance abortion, Ignatieff urges Harper

Late Tuesday, Liberal MP Paul Szabo said he was caught off guard by the announcement and claims Ignatieff doesn't have a consensus for the stand among Liberals.

"I am a pro-life MP and there are many of my colleagues in the Liberal caucus who will protect the unborn in their decisions as Parliamentarians, and should matters come before the House they will continue to act accordingly," Szabo told the anti-abortion website, LifeSiteNews.

I have had my disagreements with Paul Szabo, but he has earned my respect by being a staunch supporter of life. If I lived in his riding, I would vote for him. He is what the Liberals used to be, principled. Good for him!

Harper must make abortion part of health pledge, Ignatieff says

Liberal Leader questions whether Conservatives will shy award from funding family-planning agencies

Family planning agencies that support abortion, are not helping women to plan FAMILIES! Unicef and United Way are off of my list of charities because they support abortions, not families. How can you have a family if you abort the baby?

At least the National Post is not hiding Ignatieff's comments.

Kevin Libin: Ignatieff's audacious stance in favour of abortion

“This has nothing to do with abortion, or gay marriage or capital punishment, in case those are going to be [Mr. Ignatieff’s] next arguments on this issue,” said Dimitri Soudas, the Prime Minister’s spokesman. “At the end of the day, maternal and child health is about saving lives of vulnerable children and mothers in the developing world.”

By bringing abortion into a discussion where it had not previously been, and then making it a key element, Mr. Ignatieff seemed to go much further, says Tom Flanagan, a University of Calgary political scientist and former campaign manager for the Conservative party.

“Of all the issues that you could possibly raise about women’s health, why would you start with abortion?” Mr. Flanagan says. “What kind of mindset is that that you have to start killing unborn babies in order to help people? It seems to be based on the now discredited theory that poverty in the Third World is based on overpopulation. I don’t think any serious scholar believes that anymore.”

Mr. Ignatieff was unavailable for comment

Every fiber in my body screams out at the horror of abortion. You can not candy coat it as only "cells", not if you have had those "cells" kicking you in the middle of the night. What is the most disturbing factor in the abortion issue is that it is women encouraging other women to kill their babies. How sad.

Feminists want to have balls and a penis, not equality. They hate having a womb and they want other women to hate their womb's as well. To bad they do not understand that a woman's power is the very fact that they can give life. Bringing a life into this world is awe inspiring, it is a sacred trust between the mother and child. For these feminists to think that women in third world countries do not want their babies is disgusting. They should be standing beside their sisters, not trying to impose their lack of morals on other women. Many of these women are Muslims or Christians who would be going against their faith by having an abortion, but immoral people need to bring moral people down to their level, so they can have company in their misery. Now you know why feminists are not fighting harder to protect women in Afghanistan.

Ignatieff stepped in it big time by trying to painting himself and his party as the party in favour of abortions. Go ahead, cater to the far left wing feminists in your party, it will not serve you well.

20 Minutes of Iggy Uncut And Raw.

The Youtube videos about Iggy, are coming out so fast it's hard to keep up with them. But first, we need to talk about this article:

Harper's fate tied up with Karzai's

With a federal election increasingly likely, Tuesday's confirmation of widespread fraud in the Afghanistan presidential election from a United Nations-backed election monitoring team is politically dangerous news for the Conservative Prime Minister, putting at even greater risk the Conservatives' embattled redoubt in Quebec and handing the NDP fresh ammunition in battleground ridings, especially in British Columbia.

Is this guy for real??? Election fraud in Afghanistan reflects on our PM? Did he get into the poppy fields?

The Afghan President is, after all, the Canadian Prime Minister's guy. The Conservative government has backed the Karzai administration despite widespread allegations that the regime is a corrupt kleptocracy, funnelling vast sums of aid and local revenues to friends and relations while sustaining unsavoury former warlords neck-deep in the drug trade.

Oh, I get it, the left can't bash Bush anymore, and they love socialist Obama, so that leaves, Karzai. They wouldn't dare condemn China, Cuba or dare I say Saudi Arabia, for their human rights crimes, that's just not the "in" thing to do. This "journalist" should be on some NDP blogroll, not published in a national paper, but that's your lefty press, which is on CO2. Anyways, let's go with that support for war thingy.

Maybe the Globe and Mail should look at this video of Iggy and ask questions about how he talked about torture if necessary but not necessarily torture.

I was reading comments on the Globe and Mail when someone (I can't find that comment again) gave a link to a video from back in 2004, with Charlie Rose. My challenge to you, is to count all the times Iggy said "we", referring to himself and other Americans.

A Conversation with Michael Ignatieff

20 Minutes, of Iggy uncut and raw!

There is so much there, it needs to be broken down, maybe by fellow bloggers.

Question Period: Heartless Liberals

Iffy lost a perfect opportunity to show the compassionate side of Liberals today by totally ignoring the horrible helicopter crash off of Newfoundland. Instead his first question was about the Liberal senators passing the budget.

Thankfully we have a Prime Minister who recognizes there is a time for partisan comments and a time for compassion and prayers. He used his first answer to express his worry about the helicopter accident. I am sending my prayers to the families and hopefully the survivors of that accident.

This is a perfect example of why I respect and admire our Prime Minister. He understands that you have to care about all Canadians, not just Conservative Canadians. Very classy job Mr. Prime Minister!

The Liberals, Bloc and NDP get a big raspberry! Heartless Liberals, heartless lefties!

THE KISS!!!

Rae and Iggy sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g! Okay, I didn't see it and the ParlVU cameras didn't catch it, but you can hear the hoots, whistles and clapping in this video.

I know the quality isn't too great, but I'm still testing out video capture software. If anyone has a free capture program they like, please tell me about it.

Liberal MP Bob Rae says his decision to greet deputy leader Michael Ignatieff with a kiss upon his entrance into the House of Commons on Monday was not symbolic of where his loyalties will lie.

Rae and Ignatieff both ran against Stephane Dion for the leadership of the Liberal party. Dion eventually won, but he has now handed critic's portfolios to most of his former opponents.

Party infighting, however, has prompted rumours that a movement is afoot to oust Dion and replace him with Ignatieff, a former Harvard professor.

Rae said his affectionate greeting to Ignatieff was just that, and there was no deeper message intended.

Now, the question is, was it a full lip kiss (yuck), or the kiss of death?

Funny how all the articles are about the new Liberal MP's, no mention is made of the NEW Conservative MP who was elected. Media bias? No, never happen! HA!

Two side notes: Glad the US can be counted on to come to our aid with troops!

And You GO KATE!!!
