PM Harper Stricks Again!
Our PM sang up a storm last night, he is way better than the keyboard cat! Too bad that CTV is chicken and won't allow comments. CBC covers the whole performance, but the camera work is really substandard, you see more floor than anything. Did they send their 4th string people to cover our PM? How much did that cost us taxpayers? CBC does not rock, but our PM does!
The one who should get some acknowledgment is Laureen. She is the power behind the scenes. She is an amazing woman. She is confident, sure of where she is going, fun-loving, and she seems to be able to bring out the best in our PM. I guess that is why the media never report on what she is doing. Feminists must cringe when confronted with a real woman like Laureen. She is a powerful role model for all our teenagers. I wish what she is doing for charities would be covered by the MSM more often.
It looked like a great party! I would have loved to be there. I wonder if Iggy will wow the Liberals by reading War and Peace? HA!

Bad Opposition! Into The Dog House You Go!
OTTAWA — The opposition has stepped up its pressure on the Harper government to ban oil-tanker traffic off the B.C. coast, passing a motion in the House of Commons calling on the Conservatives to legislate a formal moratorium.Long live the coalition! Does Vancouver get oil tanker traffic?
The opposition parties teamed up Tuesday to pass a motion introduced by New Democrat MP Nathan Cullen urging the government to immediately propose legislation to “ban bulk oil tanker traffic” through the Dixon Entrance, Hecate Strait and Queen Charlotte Sound, off the north coast of British Columbia.
He says tanker traffic in Vancouver has grown with the Americans’ desire to acquire secure sources after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001.Well, well, it appears that Vancouver has no problem with oil tankers, now anyone wonder why they would be upset with some competition from Kitimat? To the environmental groups (with Soros money) who are joining the First Nations groups to try and get the pipeline from Alberta to BC banned, CN already has lines all the way to the coast and oil containers as well. If BC doesn't want the jobs, so be it. We will just keep sending our oil into the US so they can have all the jobs that BC needs.
Vancouver responded with new regulations that allowed bigger ships into the harbour and stepped-up safety measures.
Ships now use global positioning devices, double-bottomed hulls, guiding tugs, enhanced pilot training and navigational aids.
They carry crude oil from Alberta, a thicker, heavier liquid which doesn’t evaporate, sinks to the bottom and is difficult to clean up.
The huge ships are about one-third the size of the biggest vessels previously afloat, with a 700,000 barrel carrying capacity.
The tankers must navigate two shallow channels — at the First Narrows and Second Narrows.
The margins are so tight that they can’t be fully loaded because if they were, they wouldn’t clear the seabed. The only time there is enough water is at high tide.
What the opposition did with this vote was to give the Conservatives more ammo. They clearly showed the coalition is alive and as stupid as ever, and they showed that they do not care about the economy of Canada or Canadian workers. They know the the Senate is going to kill this bill, so they are being hypocrites.

Touch My Junk.....Seriously Iggy???
Ignatieff doesn’t mind his junk touched
The Liberal Leader doesn’t mind airport officials patting him down.
“I have people touching my private parts all day long,” Michael Ignatieff said Wednesday in the foyer of the House of Commons. This is going to show up in Conservative ads, I can guarantee it! Can you imagine what the MSM would have done if PM Harper had said that???

Canada Apologizes For Liberal Opposition!
How sad the Liberals are, undermining Canada to pander to special interest groups for a few votes. They get so caught up in listening to the far left that they forget that they want to rule Canada, a sovereign nation. What they say and the Liberal media reports impacts ALL citizens of Canada. Do they just not care about Canada's image on the international stage because they are not the government? Either way, they show their contempt for Canada, the nation. You can bet that our Liberal media will be crowing in delight if Canada does not get the spot on the Security Council, and they will blame it all on the Conservatives, not Iggy. How sick are our lefties? They want Canada to fail.UNITED NATIONS — Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon issued a global appeal Wednesday for countries to ignore a claim by Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff that Canada doesn’t deserve a seat on the United Nations Security Council.
Addressing ambassadors from around the world in Ottawa, Mr. Cannon said Mr. Ignatieff had been “unable to put the interests of his country above the interests of his party.”
Personally, I could care less if we get any seat on any committee at the UN. They are a corrupt organization that does nothing to save oppressed people. I would be perfectly happy is we quit paying our dues to the UN, and let the organization die.
Mr. Ignatieff provoked consternation, even among some members of his own party, when he last month asked Canadians to consider whether the country under a Conservative government had “earned” the right to what would be its seventh two-year council term since 1948.I think Iggy forgot that he is Canadian and should be proud of the fact. He got so used to bashing Canada when he was on his 30 year tour, that he still thinks it's okay to do it now. It just slips out without him thinking about it, and then our government has to try to repair the damage. Iggy needs to understand that like it or not, the government the people chose was the Conservative party, and with only 70+ Liberals, they better be asking themselves if they have "earned" the right to get re-elected.

Ignatieff Forgets To Support CANADA!
Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff has said Canada's chances of winning the vote for a seat on the Security Council have been hurt by the prime minister ignoring the UN for most of his time in office.Other Canadians seem to feel the same as I do:
Why can't a guy who is supposedly as smart as Ignatieff not figure out that sometimes you need to support our Prime Minister? Is it so hard for Liberals to think about ALL Canadians, not just Liberal thinking progressives?Michael in Fredericton, NB

"Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff has said Canada's chances of winning the vote for a seat on the Security Council have been hurt by the prime minister ignoring the UN for most of his time in office."Wow... Thanks Mr. Ignatieff. That is a comment that truly shows the strength of your leadership. With a chance like this on the table, I'd suggest that the leader of the opposition do whatever is necessary to back the prime minister on this one and help fight for this important seat at the United Nations. If the leader of the opposition becomes lucky enough in the future, this may be a seat he would hope to occupy at the General Assembly Security Council meetings. This is Canada's chance to show strength on the international stage...
Ignatieff can say whatever he wants. Canada has not been this active on the world stage in decades. When Harper started his term he toured Africa and did a number of new partnerships with the Gates Foundation to build clinics and other resources for Africa. He was the first G8 leader to invite African heads of states to the meeting. Canada was one of the first countries to respond following the disaster in Haiti. Being involved in international relations is more than giving a speech at the UN, its about being involved. And this PM has a good track record. All of that without naming the new initiative on Maternal Health launched at the G8. We have solid relations with a great deal of the third world, the support of President Obama, solid respect from European leaders following the recent G8. This is Canada's seat to lose.

Our Prime Minister did a great job of representing Canada on the world stage today. I can't wait for his speech on Thursday. Lefties and their fawning journalists need to realize that Canadians are proud of the job that PM Harper is doing on the international level. The Liberals needed to come out in support of Canada's bid for a seat on the Security Council, not use it to try and gain lefty votes. It's a sad statement on the state of the Liberal party and Ignatieff as their leader, when they can't see past their own "hidden" agenda. Grow up, think about more than yourselves, and show some support for Canada.

Has Being The Government Gone To Their Heads?
In my opinion, the Conservatives have forgotten to be Conservative. I understand that they had to move to the center to gain more votes, but in doing so, they have become mushy. We know the Liberals have no principals and cater to special interest groups, while the NDP cater to the far left, and the Bloc cater to only Quebec socialists, but what about the Conservatives? Sure they are attractive to the right because they are the only party that we can vote for, but unless they come out with a strong Conservative plan next election, I don't see them getting a majority.
They are so scared of losing power that they are pleasing no-one. My own MP is so scared of doing anything wrong, hoping to get a Minister's position that my blog is a threat! HA! Now that they have the power, they are forgetting what got them there. Conservatives.
I want to see some action on crime, the gun registry, and the wheat board, for starters. Most important, I want to see the human rights commissions put out to pasture. I want this for Alberta as well as the federal HRC. The Conservatives have no balls on this matter, they were really happy when Liberal MP Keith Martin brought forward a bill against the HRC, so they wouldn't have to, how cowardly.
Refugees are another issue they need to address. If 70% of the people claiming refugee status return "home", they should not be allowed back into Canada. Period. Full Stop!
I feel that the Conservative party is relying too much on PM Harper's performance and has forgotten that it is us "peons" who make the party what it is, and we need more Conservative initiatives or we might just stay home on election night.
The last election campaign was pathetic, it left me wondering why I should vote Conservative, it had no substance, no goals, no definable direction. Wonder why the Conservatives seem to have no traction? They are becoming liberal lite. They need a good smack so they wake up and understand what Conservative really means.

Liberal Elites Still Stinking Up Our Canada
I know all that appears to be history, but recently CSIS has come out stating that foreign countries are influencing our politicians, especially at the provincial and municipal level. Funny, most politicians at that level are lefties. Even Alberta's MLA's are more liberal than conservative, and I suspect that all those Chinese after our oil sands are offering big money to weak politicians.
Is this unheard of? Nope.
Here is a blast from the past that is interesting reading for those who are just getting into the political scene.
Jean Chretien's ties to China have become more indirect, but no less troubling, since his ascendancy to the Prime Minister's Office. During the course of his reign, China's leadership has embraced his son-in-law, Andre Desmarais, and his company, Power Corporation. Andre is the son of Paul Desmarais senior, Director of Power Corporation and a close friend of Jean Chretien. Andre is married to Chretien's daughter France and serves as the President of Power Corporation's Executive Board.
.......
John Rae was the leading strategist for Jean Chretien's election campaign. He was formerly the Executive vice-president of Power Corp. He is the brother of Bob Rae, the former NDP premier of Ontario. | |
| | |
| Bob Rae, while Premier of Ontario, appointed Maurice Strong as chairman of Ontario Hydro. The past CEO of Paul Desmarais' Power Corporation, Strong was appointed to the UN as a senior environmental adviser to the UN secretary-general and Chairman of the Earth Council. His area of responsibility was the Kyoto Accord. | |
| | |
| Paul Martin, formerly the Finance Minister under the current regime is considered a shoo in for Prime Minister as Jean Chretien exits the scene in February of 2004. Martin was previously on the board of Power Corp and formerly on the board of Connaught Laboratories. Allegations have been made of Connaught's implication in the tainted blood scandal. Martin and a partner purchased Canada Steamship Lines from Paul Desmarais of Power Corp at extremely favorable terms. Martin later bought the partner out. What obligations does Martin owe to Power Corporation interests once he becomes Prime Minister? Martin registered many of his vessels out of the country in third world registries, thus evading Canadian income taxes. Third world crews working in third world conditions crew his third world registry ships. Canadians must question whether the morality of Martin's evading Canadian income taxes while Finance Minister is a matter of concern. | |
| | |
| Jean Chretien's daughter France is married to Andre Desmarais, the son of Paul Desmarais, of Power Corporation. Andre is on the board of multinational communications conglomerate Vivendi. He runs Power Corporation. (estimated annual revenues $18-billion) | |
And we are supposed to believe that the Liberal party of Canada is clean? Can you not still smell the stink of big business influencing the "ruling party of Canada"? Is the smell still clinging to your nose hairs, making you sneeze? Do you not, at the most fundamental level of your being, still cringe when you think of what the Liberals have done to our country? They still think Trudeau is a hero.... that should clue you in. How come CSIS never mentioned this before? Well Sidewinder was shut down, covered up and buried by the Liberals. What, are you shocked that the Liberals would ignore facts?
Money can buy you anything you want, and it appears that the Liberals have always understood that better than any other political party. Do you seriously think that just because the contribution limit for corporations and individuals is just over $1000 that a corporation as powerful as Power Corp isn't lobbying the present government?
Why did Iggy tell PM Harper that his time was up? It appears that Iggy has been listening to the Liberal elites. The political elites are always sniffing out marshmallows. and they thought Iggy was just right. Soft and fluffy, but when put in the barbeque, he turned brown and shriveled up.

Canadian Heart And Soul.
It appears that Iggy is off to England to show his Canadian credentials to Europe. You know, he is going to trumpet how great Canada is because he has been there for what...five years now? He is going to pledge his undying love of.....?????? Right. The guy needs to understand Canadians and he is off to Europe to find that one proud Canadian with a flag on their backpack.
Liberals talk about Canadian values like they are the only ones who know what they are, but they forget about the Canadian heart and soul that makes our country great.
Our heart and soul is those farmers who toil night and day to get food to our tables.
Our heart and soul is those volunteers who donate their time to causes that actually help people live a better life.
Our heart and soul is reflected in the First Nations people who keep their traditions while integrating them into Canadian society.
Our heart and soul beats strongly when one of our hockey teams might win the Stanley cup. (Come on boys, surely one Canadian team can win it back!!)
Our heart and soul is our land. I can not picture Iggy or his wife planting a veggie garden and tending it with love. I can not feel any connection to Iggy and our land. I am talking about Canada here, I am talking about the soil, the earth, the water, the wildlife that make Canada home. I get no sense of home from Iggy. No sense of what makes Canada great. No sense of understanding that Canadians are about the land, the beauty and the inspiration the land brings to your very soul.
While lefties protest at the G20, chanting "the whole world is watching", they leave me cold, they have no cause, they are juveniles coming out of their basements to protest their inability to adjust to real life. They are the misfits of society. If they really wanted to help the poor people of Africa, they would go there and help, but lefties are good at protesting, and very bad at actually doing anything to fix the problems.
The Canadian heart and soul is our land. Those who can feel it, and protect it are the real Canadians. The land has a pulse, you need to stop and listen to it. This land is alive, and Canadians need to keep it that way. We need to be careful of who we put in government, on ALL levels, because one bad decision can suck the air out of the land and leave it desolate.
It is up to Canadians to make sure we protect what makes us Canadian, our vast and diverse land.

Teaparties To The South of Us, Mergers in the North!
We, have the merger people, wanting to get back to power no matter what it costs, with no concern about Canada. Can the Liberals not see what the Canadian people are seeing right now? Disorder, disruption, and disaster for the Liberal party. If my boys were fighting over the Xbox, neither would get to play it.
Will the Liberals merge with the NDP? Or, will we get an after election coalition that excludes the winning party, like they tried last time? I remember when we killed the PC party. I was upset because I could never vote Liberal after the NEP, and the NDP were just too radical for me. I thought I would have no party to vote for, and then I heard about the Reform party, and I found a new home. When the parties merged, I was happy to see the right unite.
Will the same thing happen with a Liberal/NDP alignment? Can my Liberal parents feel comfortable with a new, Trudeauless party? Will a far left NDP'er feel at home with the Liberals? Lefties are arguing that a merger of Liberals/NDP would be just like the Conservative merger. Wrong. Reform and PC's had the base grounding of conservatism to rely on. We were the same party, with the same philosophy, that's why it worked.
This appears to be a get rid of Iggy ploy. Liberals will continue to blame everyone except themselves. If Iggy is being pushed out, I have a suggestion for him. Cross the floor with enough Liberal MP's to secure a majority for the Conservatives. That will give everyone a 4 year cool down, and destroy any coalition/merger option in the works. It would be the only way that Iggy could get some payback for all the backstabbing that has been going on in his own party. It would stop Rae and Powercorp, and it would force the Liberals to actually look at what they have become. Sleazy comes to mind.

Release Those Documents, Or Maybe Not.
They have no proof of torture, they have one diplomat, who never went outside the wire, thinking that ALL detainees were tortured, but no proof. Still they have DEMANDED all documents, because when you are on a witch hunt, you can't get anywhere without proof. So, the documents are going to be released to selected MP's from all parties, including the separatists. Should we trust them? Not likely.
First, we have Iggy calling a special Sunday press conference to tell the PM that he should keep the current GG. The PM asked the Queens secretary to ask the leaders of all parties for their opinions on who the next GG should be. The Liberals couldn't help make it a political issue. Are they university students or mature Members of Parliament who can keep secrets....secret?
Second, we see what will happen if the press actually gets their hands on those secret documents. From Alberta Ardvark's blog:
The Star,G&M, and Canwest forced to CHANGE reporters at Gitmo.
Read this link. Pentagon Bans Four Journalists From Guantanamo Bay for Reporting Interrogator #1’s Name
GUANTANAMO BAY — Two weeks’ worth of proceedings in the pre-trial hearing of Omar Khadr found an unexpected meta-conclusion this afternoon as the public affairs shop in the Office of the Secretary of Defense banned four reporters from returning to Guantanamo Bay. Their offense: reporting the name of a witness whose identity is under a protective order.
The four journalists are Michelle Shephard of the Toronto Star, Steven Edwards of Canwest, Paul Koring of the Globe & Mail and Carol Rosenberg of the Miami Herald. They are not being thrown off the base, but, as of now, they are barred from returning.
Three of the four banned journalists are CANADIAN reporters! Talk about embarrassing Canada! They are so arrogant that they think the laws don't apply to them, because they are sure Omar is an innocent, little baby boy, who would never have done anything wrong, except for the fact that our troops were in Afghanistan. So, it's all our troops fault.
Do we seriously want any confidential documents to get into the hands of those journalists? Can we trust the Liberals, who love leaking documents to the media, to not leak any of those documents? We know the Liberals even let reporters write their questions for them, and now, we are to believe that for purely political reasons, they will not leak to the Liberal friendly press?
Release those documents, or maybe not! I would feel much safer if those documents were kept secret, at least until our troops are home, and safe.

Lefty MP's Attack Female Conservative MP's
Let's start with Iggy, today in the House, he attacked the government over not releasing any details about the mysterious third party that caused the PM to call in the RCMP on the Helena case. Hey Iggy, grab a clue, it's under investigation now, meaning no facts can be released until the issue is settled or charges have been laid. Layton continued the attack, and I thought the NDP were all about gender equality!
Then some Bloc MP was trying to attack the Minister of Fisheries about some supposed conflict of interest. She shot him down with facts, but lefties never let facts get in the way of a good smear.
Then, they called a point of order because Minister Rona had taken a picture during question period. She got up and said it was a mistake and that even though it showed the opposition hard at work she had deleted it. Too funny!
This was only one day and three females were attacked by the opposition. I guess they aren't looking for the female vote then.
As a female, I am sickened by the attacks on female MP's. It makes the male MP's look like power hungry hyenas. It's no wonder that the female vote has been transferring to the Conservatives lately. The lefties are so busy listening to the feminists that they don't realize how they appear to the normal females in Canada. The Liberals botched abortion vote is a prime example of listening only to lefty feminists and not your everyday working Mother or stay at home Mom or Grandmother.
If the opposition keep on attacking female Conservative MP's, they will lose a huge percent of the female vote. Sure, they might keep the 10% of feminists, but if they were true feminists, they would be speaking out right now about the extended attacks on females by the opposition.
What I saw when I happened to watch question period today was disgusting. From Iggy the supposed leader of the Liberals to Bloc MP's to NDP MP's and if the Greens actually had a seat in the House, I bet they would have been howling too.
Listen up you useless opposition MP's, you look like male predators. You are scoring no points with females. But, heck, don't listen to me, I'm only a Conservative female.
The Liberal party is using the same tactics as the Liberal bloggers used against me. Swarm my site with lefty comments until they forced me to put on comment moderation, then cry that I won't allow them their freedom of speech on my blog.
I'm chuckling now because they forced me to put on comment moderation, and now they have no voice on my blog unless I allow it. They have actually given me more power than I had before they harassed me into comment moderation.
Keep up the great work opposition parties, I'm sure females are looking at your parties and thinking of voting for you, because you respect women so much, you yell and scream at them during question period. What was the term we used to use....Male Chauvinist Pigs? Is that politically incorrect these days? Maybe it should be taken out of the mothballs and be dusted off for the opposition.

What's Up With Women?

Women appear to be on the march again, and it's not for unionized daycare.
This is the story of women who were ground-breakers. These brave women from the early 1900s made all the difference in the lives we live today.
Remember, it was not until 1920 that women were granted the right to go to the polls and vote.
The women were innocent and defenseless, but when, in North America , women picketed in front of the White House, carrying signs asking for the vote, they were jailed.
And by the end of the first night in jail, those women were barely alive.
Forty prison guards wielding clubs and their warden's blessing went on a rampage against the 33 women wrongly convicted of 'obstructing sidewalk traffic.'
They beat Lucy Burns, chained her hands to the cell bars above
her head and left her hanging for the night, bleeding and gasping for air.
They hurled Dora Lewis into a dark cell, smashed her head against an iron bed and knocked her out cold. Her cellmate, Alice Cosu, thought Lewis was dead and suffered a heart attack.
Additional affidavits describe the guards grabbing, dragging,
beating, choking, slamming, pinching, twisting and kicking the women.
Thus unfolded the 'Night of Terror' on Nov. 15, 1917, when the warden at the Occoquan Workhouse in Virginia ordered his guards to teach a lesson to the suffragists imprisoned there because they dared to picket Woodrow Wilson's White House for the right to vote.
For weeks, the women's only water came from an open pail. Their
food--all of it colorless slop--was infested with worms.
When one of the leaders, Alice Paul, embarked on a hunger strike, they tied her to a
chair, forced a tube down her throat and poured liquid into her until she vomited.
She was tortured like this for weeks until word was smuggled out to the press.
All women who have ever voted, have ever owned property, have ever enjoyed equal rights need to remember that women’s rights had to be fought for in Canada as well. Do our daughters and our sisters know the price that was paid to earn rights for women here, in North America?
2009 is the 80th Anniversary of the Persons Case in Canada, which finally declared women in Canada to be Persons!
Why Women Should Vote
Women went to jail and suffered beatings just a short time ago, to get the vote.
In Alberta, my lovely province, more women (64.6) would vote for Stephen Harper than men (58.3). We have smart, independent women here, that do not expect their "man" to support them, we out feminist the feminists. It's a real movement and other provinces are following, more women would vote for the Conservatives than Liberals, in every area of Canada. (click on Tories edge into majority territory) So, what are women thinking? Why the shift from the left to the right? What about women and their love of social programs?
It might be that Iggy is unappealing to women, but you could say the same about Stephen Harper, women didn't seem to like him....at first. Is he a cute teddy bear now, nope. Is he a chick magnet? HA!
I think it's that sense of security he gives off. He's reliable, honest and most important faithful. He's what every woman wants to have in a man, after she's gotten over the tall, dark, and dangerous type. Women are turning towards PM Harper because he is a steady boat in a crashing surf. If you were on that boat, and had to choose Harper or Iggy to get you to safety, which hand would you take? Who would you trust your child to? I would actually trust Layton more than Iffy, at least he has principles that he sticks to, wrongheaded as they are.
What's up with women? Face it, we are smarter than you think, after only 80 years of being able to vote, we understand how important it is to our families to vote for someone who will do their best to protect them and move this country forward. Right now that is PM Harper and the Conservative party.

A Woman's Sixth Sense.
Women and Ignatieff: What went wrong?
I thought Dion was a geek, and actually felt sorry for him.
So, along came Iggy. I thought he would be a serious threat because he was right wing, like a mini-Harper. He promptly rejected many positions he had taken before politics, like support for the war in Iraq, and became something he isn't, a Liberal.
A woman's sixth sense keeps her safe. I have listened to that sixth sense many times. What I can sense in a second, is a phony. Some guy trying to pick you up, your sixth sense kicks in, and a little alarm bell starts ringing loudly in your head. You can't pinpoint why it's ringing, but you better listen to it.
That's how it is with Iffy. It's not just what he says, it's his body language when he says it. Like this little gem, Iffy singing out of tune:
The media has not mentioned this at all, as a matter of fact, they have gone to great lengths to hide that little gem. Have you seen any headlines talking about Iggy singing out of tune? Nope, me either.
How's this in response to PM Harper singing:
Harper sings out of tune at gala
PM at Ottawa event takes to stage to play classic Beatles' song
By Caroline Phillips, Canwest News Service
Canwest.....are they the ones that went bankrupt? Maybe Caroline needs a new job.
Prime Minister out of tune on arts, Ignatieff says
The Canadian Press
Liberal Leader points to Conservative cuts in culture funding as he plays down Harper's piano coup
The Canadian Press.....who are they, who, who??
Poor little Liberal media, they are having a fit. Iffy should have been a big man and stated that he thought PM Harper's performance was great and that he was going to personally contribute more to the arts because of it. Nope, he was too small a person to give credit where it was due, and made himself look petty and bitter.
This version is one of my favorites because you get to hear the whole song, and see PM Harper's expressions up close.
Now, compare and contrast the two versions. One, a bitter old man being a snob slamming our Prime Minister.

The other was just doing a favour for his lovely wife.

Listen to PM Harper, he has a very sexy voice, the oh's, mmm's, and awe's are very appealing. When he sings "Yes, I'm certain it happens all the time.", you know he is thinking about Laureen, same with "I know it's mine." Crystal clear words, and meaning, for him and Laureen. What woman wouldn't be attracted to a guy who obviously loves his wife? It's sexy.
Let's not forget my all time favorite picture of Harper, before he became the PM.

The kids are so much bigger now, but I bet they still love their Dad just as much as they did then. They are such a wholesome, normal Canadian family.
Think back to the Liberals idol, Trudeau, now think Iggy. Where are the pictures of Iggy with his kids? With his family? Where is any hint of love in Iggy besides himself? Any joy of living? Any affection for someone other than himself?
A woman's sixth sense alerts her to phonies if she listens, and I think Canadian women are listening and Iggy does not pass our sniff test.

No Election? Who Won?
The NDP and Bloc lost big time because they have no horse in the race. They have been cut out of the game, that is why they are so mad at Iggy. They have become irrelevant, through their own fault. They thought voting down everything the Conservatives proposed would strengthen their base, but they just looked like amateurs today, whining because they were not part of the "blue ribbon committee". Why should they be? They were playing games with Canadians, voting down bills before they even read them. How can anyone take them seriously? They are now the true fringe vote. Will Quebec get it?
Here is a supposed expert opinion:
Doug McArthur: I was just going to say I think this is a sign of a kind of fundamental weakness in our political party system, this inability to have a conversation with people about the real issues in an intelligent way. And I think Quebec is a little bit more mature, as you said. They handle it better. They point to the future and talk about the future and how you’re going to have to balance things, and so on. But the rest of the country, political parties just don’t seem to be able to engage in this discussion, and that’s unfortunate. I think they need to look at themselves about that.
John Manley: Doug, let me just remind you that Quebec has the highest per capita debt in the country and it’s unsustainable and they just had a report indicating that the aging of their population is going to put even more pressure on their fiscal arrangements. So I don’t want to praise Quebec too much here.
Too bad Manley refused to run for the Liberal leadership, he could have won after PM Harper retires.
Quebec isn't more mature, they are socialists who think the government should support them. Period. Socialism isn't working so great in the European Union. The only reason Quebec gets away with their socialism is that the rest of Canada supports them with 8 BILLION dollars a year. They are a have not province but they think they can survive on their own. Why are they content to vote for a separatist party that can never gain power? That shows their lack of maturity, they are happy to play fourth fiddle in the federal game. I say, bye, and good riddance!
This was a good week for the Conservatives, they showed their ability to work with the Liberals, and they marginalized the socialist NDP and Communist Bloc. The Conservatives and Liberals have won, while the hardcore lefties lost. Iggies problem is that he now has to make nice to the lefty Liberals in his own party, and there are a lot of them.
Watch PM Harper today, putting the NDP in their place, it is too funny! Even the Speaker was having trouble trying not to laugh!
No election, who won?? Canadians!!!

The Door Has Been Opened.

The rule of law keeps every person safe because everyone is considered equal by the law. So, why did these protesters get a free ride when they were obviously breaking the laws of our country.
It's sad that the Tamil's break the law to protest the treatment of terrorists who are killing Tamils. They even carry the flag of the terrorists. We are supposed to feel sympathy for them when they bring their young kids to a rally where they are breaking the law.
We have the First Nations blockading Caladonia for three years, now we have the Tamils breaking the law without getting arrested. Reverse racism is ugly and progressives are the first to jump into the pot. Iggy promised the Tamils, what? Talking about it in the closed Liberal caucus meeting? Get real Iggy, who believes you anymore?
The Liberals are vote hunting, they do not care about Tamils, if they did, they would have done something about it in the 13 years they were the government. Iggy is just pandering to the Tamil voters. As a matter of fact, it's funny that a message from the Liberals would end the protest. Prearranged? Preplanned? Who knows, but the media sure isn't talking about a conspiracy between the Liberals and the Tamils.
Ruby baby is trying to change the channel by eluding to a conspiracy against her, now Liberal leader Iffy is supporting an illegal Tamil protest, what a garbage party the Liberals are, they have no morals, and they are never responsible for their own lack of morals!
The door has been opened, who is next?

Supporting Out Troops!
Watch PM Harper's speech and then make sure you watch the Liberal ex-military expert, Drapeau, funny how they call him Trudeau.

So, CTV thinks Drapeau means Trudeau, I remember Trudeau killing our military. I remember rows and rows of tanks parked on the military base, sitting and rusting while our military was called every name you can imagine. I remember a girl in grade five being shunned because her Dad was in the military, and townies didn't mix with army brats. Thank goodness the families banded together and welcomed them into our community. She is now a Doctor helping people in disadvantaged countries. What snobs we were. Townies thought they were better than our troops. We were (and I suspect still are) snobs. Trudeau made us embarrassed to support our troops, Liberals looked down their noses at the very people who keep our country safe.
Funny how Ruby has disappeared from the main news page, as has Iggy. Here is a snapshot of CTV news on line.
Quiet, apparently nothing is happening in the Liberal party, we are being told by the MSM to ignore anything bad about Liberals, the most disgusting example is an article by Don Martin in the National Post.
Smell all you want Don, but my smell test detects a pig at the Liberal trough.
Our troops deserve respect, and they are smart enough to realize that PM Harper is the real deal, he has made the military a priority, and when you drive around your town, pay attention to all the cars with "support our troops" decals on their bumpers. It's fashionable now to show your support for our troops.
Great job PM Harper, our troops need support, and they can smell out phony people in an instant. While Iggy is hiding, our PM is meeting with the EU to get a trade agreement and supporting our troops, not because it is fashionable, but because he truly believes our troops are heroes.

Three Up, Three Down!
That said, I have been trying to decide who Iggy reminds me of the most, maybe you can help me decide.

We've already had Kermit the Dion, so is it Count Iggy or Iggy the Grouch?
UPDATE: Rural and Right, wins the contest hands down with this photo:

Our Heartless Unions!
Every person with any common sense understands that they will be lucky to keep their jobs let alone get a raise, but that hasn't stopped the unions, those lefty organizations that get money from their own membership and then spend it on political activism.
They spout about helping workers all the while they do so with a raised fist. They march with Hamas supporters, and shout about workers rights. They are organized and actively oppose the government, yet every union member fee they gather is by force of law, a law that does not allow a worker to opt out of the union. They are the dictators, telling workers how to vote, and how to strike, and how to disrupt our lives, and they tell us it is their RIGHT to do so. They have no compassion for those they disrupt. Read this:
The Survivor: She walks 12 hours a day to save jobMake sure to read the whole thing!
Anna. Her name is Anna Kraisingerova, and she is somebody worth knowing. You may have seen her trudging along Prince of Wales Drive and wondered why she was walking alone in the bone-chilling cold and darkness.
She walks because she has no choice.
"I live at Carling at Bronson.
"My job is in Barrhaven. I work nights. I must walk 18 kilometres to work. It takes six hours. And then I must walk six hours home after I work all night. I am nearly 60.
"This strike shouldn't happen," she says. "I come home, I rest for a few hours. Can you imagine to work all night and after to walk 18 kilometres home and then, sit down for two or three hours and then walk back and work all night again?"
Her dignity and her indomitable spirit are evident in the simple language she uses to describe her plight. But mostly it is exhaustion you hear in her voice.
When the buses are running, Anna catches the 85 on Carling. At Merivale, she transfers to the 176 for the run to Strandherd Drive at Woodroffe Avenue in Barrhaven and her job at a grocery store, stocking shelves on the graveyard shift.
She has been working at the store for six years, and the bus ride is part of her routine. And then the transit strike came, shattering Anna's world.
So, does the union care about the hardships that the "little" people are going through, or do they only want more money and to set their own schedules? Will Layton volunteer to drive Anna to and from work? He doesn't care, he lived in subsidized housing while he was making over $100,000. Read "We The Living" by Ayn Rand, and you will get an idea of what the unions and the NDP/Liberals are up to.
Heartless unions. They want us to save their jobs, and could care less about those that they are hurting with their soviet style activism. These are the same unions that Iggy just met with in Quebec, and they vowed their support to him. So, the coalition is stronger than ever because of the unions using their membership dues to support the NDP and Liberals. Who has the "hidden" agenda? Who is "scary"?
UPDATE:
Olivia Molenda, a fourth-year York student, pronounced herself frustrated with the NDP's stance.
"A lot of people are out of money now, paying for rent and those things. On top of it all, people are just depressed," she said.
Shipley said the union is sympathetic with the students' plight, but noted the university only spent 11 days in bargaining with the union over the 78 days of the strike.

Iggy Does Not Support Tax Cuts For Us!
Ignatieff, in Montreal for consultations with union and business leaders, wants the budget to target tax cuts towards Canada's lowest income earners instead of across-the-board reductions.
All righty then, how much do us taxpayers pay to JUST the federal government in taxes?

YIKES!!! 47% of federal government revenues are from us, and Iggy doesn't want us to get a tax break?? How about those corporations like GM who want taxpayer bailouts?? How much do they contribute to federal revenues?

That can't be right, only 16%? Now remember, this is only federal revenues, not provincial or municipal. Also remember that there is only ONE taxpayer, us. You know those 16% taxes the businesses pay, think about it, they only pay taxes if they are profitable, and we make them profitable with our after tax money! That's right, you paid that 16% in business taxes to the federal government, meaning we are already up to 63% of all federal taxes paid. At least we get some sort of good or service from the businesses with our money, what does the government produce that we can buy? That's the problem, we have no say how they spend our money, except with our vote. The coalition wants to take that one small "right" we have away from us.
Now, add in your provincial and municipal taxes and maybe you can start to understand why you deserve a tax break. Add in all those fees, licenses and charges, plus don't forget the GST, and your pocketbook has been picked, by the biggest criminals of all, government.
Iggy needs to get out more, not with the latte sipping Toronto elites, but with the average taxpayer, who contributes more than their fair share toward this country.
We, the taxpayer, are the ones who need some relief, or we won't be buying from those businesses, and government revenues will decrease from both personal and business taxes. Never hit Liberals with facts though, they can't handle the truth.

The Ants Go Marching!
Iggy is no Obama, he is not the saviour the Liberals have been looking for, he is another duel passport holding Liberal with no clue about what real Canadians care about, how could he know, he spent most of his life outside of Canada.
He couldn't get elected, he had to overthrow Dion and be appointed, do Liberals think we didn't notice that fact? Not necessarily a coalition, but a coalition if necessary? How about no coalition and an election is necessary.
Being named "Iggy" shows the lack of respect Canadians have for him and his fellow Liberals.
And the ants go marching...
