Three Up, Three Down!

Now that the budget has passed, Question Period is a little funnier, with even the Liberals able to laugh at themselves. I can't tell what was yelled at Iggy, but everyone seemed to find it extremely funny. Too bad you won't see these zingers on the evening news, it might reduce the partisan fighting.

That said, I have been trying to decide who Iggy reminds me of the most, maybe you can help me decide.

We've already had Kermit the Dion, so is it Count Iggy or Iggy the Grouch?

UPDATE: Rural and Right, wins the contest hands down with this photo:

Awesome job Rural and Right!

Count Igulus - any relation to Caligula? LOL.

No no, I need another choice. I see the Riddler with Jack Nicholson.

Second choice is the Count!

Count Iggy of Puffinville

While trying to find the pic that I was thinking of I realized I had said the riddler when it was the joker.
Now all of them could be appropriate and Johnny Depp will be the next Riddler?...sheesh

How about adding, Spock, to the list!
I know the look...it is out there.
lol

Someone mentioned Vincent Price, for those too young to know,
he was the star in many horror movies.

The late Vincent Price - nobody could do scary like that guy. He was so good. Apparently, in real life he was a true gentleman, as well.

Bec I think this is the photo of Joker-Iggy you were looking for from Rick Mercers website.

This is great! I recall the fat jokes about Stephen Harper started just before he became Prime Minister.

Thank you for your support!!!

Rural and Right, I enjoyed your blog, welcome!

I have updated the post because everyone needs to see the photo that wins hands down! Credit has been given to Rick Mercer for that wonderful photo that Rural and Right pointed out to us!

LS, sour grapes, you Liberals have no sense of humour. We got rid of Kermit Dion, next is Iggy Joker!!

We should start a betting pool on how many Liberals leaders PM Harper will be able to put on his fire stick, so far we have Martin, and Dion. Will Iggy, Rae, and Danny Boy Williams be next?

Oh please, you are too much!

I still recall the harrumphing and over the top indignation whenever anyone made fun of Steve. Remember when Dion commented on the newly refurbished exercise room at Stornoway and how it would come in handy for Harper when he returns to Opposition?

The shrieking and moaning about that from the BTs was hilarious. It was just so mean to make fun of poor Steve, even though Steve himself would joke about his weight.

Absolutely hilarious!

And thanks again, the point I was making was that the jokes about Harper came just before he became PM. So too the jokes about His Countiness Count Iggy before be becomes PM.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

So, LS, why didn't the jokes about Kermit Dion raise him to PM status? That is your point isn't it?

Jokes about PM Harper's weight = becoming PM, therefore jokes about Kermit Dion should have =ed PM, but seeing as that failed badly, jokes about Iggy = jokes, not PM.

Dang, I knew that philosophy course would come in handy someday!! HA!

Ta da!! That will work for me, thank you, R&R! So many and so little time.

Liberal Supporter, so you are the repulsive, "hahahahahaha" person out there? Oh my, what a disappointment.

PMSH, has lost the weight that he likely gained from being 40-50....part of the life cycle.

Actually, the fat jokes and slurs reached their peak AFTER he was elected PM the first time. And then, some idiot was stupid enough to slag Harper for being a bad example to youth because he had a can of pop in his hand in one photo.

First: the fat jokes and slags were downright ignorant. Would anybody have made the same sort of jokes or slags about his skin colour if he had been black?

Second: obesity is NOT the responsibility of the government - people have to be responsible for their own weight and parents have to be resonsible for their kids' weight.

Third: How can holding a can of pop influence youth to drink pop?

Fourth: the person (most likely an LPC member) who made the accusation is complete and total idiot.

Conclusion: the jokes about Harper backfired on the LPC. All the lies and slags backfired on the LPC. It seems that the slags and jokes only work in our favour because...are your ready for this...Harper takes the high road.

I don't recall any Kermit Dion jokes actually. There were lots of serious sounding "not a leader" ads, smirking about his dog Kyoto, and plenty of smears, but nothing that sounded like making fun of the guy. He was just too dangerous to make fun of apparently.

That is your point isn't it?
Yes. You didn't do enough jokes about Dion.

Jokes about PM Harper's weight = becoming PM, therefore jokes about Kermit Dion should have =ed PM, but seeing as that failed badly, jokes about Iggy = jokes, not PM.
Your second premise is untrue, therefore your conclusion does not hold. But it actually supports my conclusion.

Dang, I knew that philosophy course would come in handy someday!! HA!
It may yet.
