NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION
This is probably the best e-mail I have seen in a long, long time.
The following was written by Lewis Napper, a Libertarian and former U.S. Senate candidate
and a self-described amateur philosopher from Mississippi.
"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: That a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."
ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc. : but the world is full of idiots and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. (This one is my pet peeve . . . get an education and go to work...don't expect everyone else to take care of you! I see no reason I should be working my butt off to support people who are flat lazy and/or insist on making stupid decisions -- as in what did you think would happen...).
ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.
ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN)
ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness which, by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is OUR language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! (Lastly . )
ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of prosecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!
I checked with Snoops to make sure this was a valid email, and it appears that it is. This was printed way back in 2000, but it applies now more than ever. It's not politically correct, but it is patriotically correct, not just in America, but in Canada as well. The UN is doing it's best to erase countries, maybe we should stop funding them. It's time for common sense to make a comeback. I do not want creepy third world dictators telling me how I should think as their countries burn down around them and their people starve. That is not my idea of a peaceful world.
I am tired of having to watch my p's and q's around everyone who does not look or think like me because I might offend them. I am tired of the victim mentality that is gripping the world, where the "pretend weak" expect to be rescued by the government without taking any responsibility for their own actions. Enough!
Once in awhile, you just need something that sings to your mind and heart, something that you read and you go YES, that's what I think too. The "Bill Of No Rights" sings that song, and so does this remarkable group of sayings by some very smart people.

Shows you how shallow Iffy's famous phrase, the "coalition if necessary, but not necessarily a coalition", really was. Our country was not built on fancy phrases from the elitists, it was built by the blood and sweat of our pioneers, who crossed this great country to make a better life for their families, who understood what "community" really meant, who went to war as boys and came home men filled with an appreciation of what this country, Canada, was all about.
The "Bill Of No Rights" rings a clear tune, is anyone listening?

Someone convicted of conspiracy, burglary and wiretapping 'sings to your mind and heart'? mmm
Trust SQ to come up with something totally irrelevant. The quote was the salient point, not Liddy's background. But, then again, SQ lives to diss.
Incredibly great post, Hunter.
Sycophant much, E of E?
Hunter was saying that she agreed with a convicted criminal. If I were trying to show my point, I would not be quoting a sleazeball to make my point. Unless your point was that you agree with convicted criminals, and we know how Hunter feels about criminals. Hans Island anyone?
SQ - sycophant? Hardly. I happen to like those quotes and the first section was bang on. I don't care if Liddy was or was not convicted - his quote is valid and worthwhile. I'm sure that Charles Manson in a rare moment of sanity could come out with something intelligent.
As for what you would do if you were posting - why don't you come up with a blog so that we can all go over and post comments which are always negative. I do actually feel sorry for you, SQ. You are not capable of making positive or relevant comments - it's clearly a lack on your part. For that, you have my sympathy. I'm just happy to be above your style of comment. Seek help - you will find life much more enjoyable once you get over your feelings of inadequacy.
If you had any self-confidence or if you were at all accomplished, you would participate in a discussion as opposed to always coming in with some comment like a busybody old woman.
My apologies to old women but that's an expression which my 83 year-old mother uses so I figure I can, as well.
It's snopes not snoops ya dingbat.
Furthermore, this bill of no rights, which has your panties in a bunch, was written in 1993.
What's all this valid email crap? The claim, from your own source, was that this was penned by a State Rep from Georgia. It wasn't. It was written by a libertarian crackpot who unsuccessfully ran for office in 2000.
Dumber than usual today Hunter. Keep up the good work. The endless cold this winter is quite taxing at times. Your blog makes me laugh every time I read it!
"Democracy must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner." -- James Bovard, Civil Libertarian (1994)
Martin is but a sheep so let's trust that the blogging wolves will take the appropriate action and vote on his comments with the delete button.
Thank you Marty!
Wow - the usual trolls are spewing even more venom today - must mean that they know they are losing the PR battle.
It's funny how the trolls never attack the message, just the messenger!
Sorry boys, you show your ignorance every time you post here, that's why I allow your post through, it gives my Conservative readers a real taste of how the lefty brain works.
What strikes me most is that these trolls keep coming back. It's like moths drawn towards the light, they keep banging up against the light, getting burnt every time.
You have to wonder about guys like Martin - sheesh. Doesn't have his own blog but comes here and disses the hostess.
Kind of reminds me of a guy I knew long ago - really ugly guy who couldn't get a girl if his life depended upon it but he'd pass judgement on every female at work and would avow that "he'd never touch her with a ten foot pole". Like she'd be upset about that. Like she'd even come within ten feet of him. Impotent men with undersized "engines" who like to abuse women anonymously over the internet. Buk buk buk.
"It's like moths drawn towards the light, they keep banging up against the light, getting burnt every time."
No, it's more like watching a train wreck actually.

If it moves, tax it.
If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Love that one!
Great post Hunter.
Iffy spouts off nothings, and Liberals know it.
They are have their fingers crossed that Canadians will get sucked in by his phoney 'I love Alberta and cow poop'.
Canadians are not stupid.
PMSH is straight talking, while Iffy is romancing...
The WSJ article yesterday, and yet another CNN interview today, has PMSH really putting Canada in the limelight.
Oh yah, Iffy's wife tells a story.
Like a good American politician, Iffy parades his family in the media.
Iffy is so 2000.
In a similar vein, Bills of Responsibility are also floating around the web.
Two examples; An American Bills of Responsibilities by Judith H. Rose at http://charltonrose.com/misc/billresp/ and the Bill of Responsibilities written by Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c102:S.J.RES.38.IS.
LOOK out SQ
ding...ding...ding
Remember it is: STOP, LOOK, LISTEN and for the lefties remember to LEARN ... the train is coming from the RIGHT.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
(note to self - practice the ha ha's in caps!!)
Why is iggy trying to be american in his politics.
First he tries to be our Obama, and it isn't working so try to let the world know he is an adulterer like Bill Clinton. But, Bill had already been elected. Interm and intern are different.
