Bill Of No Rights!

NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION
This is probably the best e-mail I have seen in a long, long time.
The following was written by Lewis Napper, a Libertarian and former U.S. Senate candidate
and a self-described amateur philosopher from Mississippi.

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: That a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc. : but the world is full of idiots and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. (This one is my pet peeve . . . get an education and go to work...don't expect everyone else to take care of you! I see no reason I should be working my butt off to support people who are flat lazy and/or insist on making stupid decisions -- as in what did you think would happen...).

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN)

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness which, by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is OUR language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! (Lastly . )

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of prosecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!

I checked with Snoops to make sure this was a valid email, and it appears that it is. This was printed way back in 2000, but it applies now more than ever. It's not politically correct, but it is patriotically correct, not just in America, but in Canada as well. The UN is doing it's best to erase countries, maybe we should stop funding them. It's time for common sense to make a comeback. I do not want creepy third world dictators telling me how I should think as their countries burn down around them and their people starve. That is not my idea of a peaceful world.

I am tired of having to watch my p's and q's around everyone who does not look or think like me because I might offend them. I am tired of the victim mentality that is gripping the world, where the "pretend weak" expect to be rescued by the government without taking any responsibility for their own actions. Enough!

Once in awhile, you just need something that sings to your mind and heart, something that you read and you go YES, that's what I think too. The "Bill Of No Rights" sings that song, and so does this remarkable group of sayings by some very smart people.

Shows you how shallow Iffy's famous phrase, the "coalition if necessary, but not necessarily a coalition", really was. Our country was not built on fancy phrases from the elitists, it was built by the blood and sweat of our pioneers, who crossed this great country to make a better life for their families, who understood what "community" really meant, who went to war as boys and came home men filled with an appreciation of what this country, Canada, was all about.

The "Bill Of No Rights" rings a clear tune, is anyone listening?

A guy is driving around the back woods of Tennessee and he sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale'. He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there.

'You talk?' he asks.

'Yep,' the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says 'So, what's your story?'

The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA. In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping.'

'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running. But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals.'

'I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired.'

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

'Ten dollars,' the guy says.

'Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?'

'Because he's a liar. He never did any of that shit.

The Harley-Davidson Facts

The inventor of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Arthur Davidson, died and went to heaven.

At the gates, St. Peter told Arthur.'Since you've been such a good man
and your motorcycles have changed the world, your reward is, you can hang out with anyone you want to in heaven.'

Arthur thought about it for a minute and then said "I want to hang out with God".
St Peter took Arthur to the Throne Room and introduced him to God.
God recognized Arthur and said, "Oh, so you were the one who invented
the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle?

Arthur said,'Yeah, that's me...'

God commented: 'Well, what's the big deal in inventing something that's pretty unstable, makes noise and pollution and can't run without a road?'

Arthur was a bit embarrassed, but finally spoke,
'Excuse me, but aren't you the inventor of woman?'

God said, 'Ah,yes.'

'Well,' said Arthur, 'professional to professional, you have some major flaws in your invention:

1. There's too much inconsistency in the front-end suspension!
2. It chatters constantly at high speeds!
3. Most rear ends are too soft and wobble about too much!
4. The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust
5. The maintenance costs are outrageous!!!!

'Hmmmmm, you may have some good points there,' replied God, 'hold on.'

God went to his Celestial supercomputer, typed in a few words and waited for the results. The computer printed out a slip of paper and God read it.

'Well, it may be true that My invention is flawed,' God said to Arthur, 'but according to these numbers, a lot more men are riding My invention then yours.

Question Period: Liberals Hide Controversial MP, Attack Females

Where's Dr. Bennett? Where is her apology? Hidden agenda by the Liberals anyone? Puffin poop being shoveled into the great unknown. One rule for Liberals, another for Conservatives.

Personally, I am disgusted by the continued attack on Helena, while Dr. Bennett hides behind her feminist buddies. We have had 3 Ministers attesting to the fact that she was mocking a Minister, but it has been swept under the carpet with all the Adscam puffin poop. The opposition are bullies, they pick on Conservative females, and then proceed to yell about gender equality.

The Bloc goes ballistic because a piece of history doesn't agree with them. They get called on it, and can't take the heat. If this video is an indication of what it means to be progressive, count me out.

Conservative women are strong, and refuse to be victims. Liberal females are all about being victims, especially with this "pay equity" garbage. We already have pay equity, it's the law, so what are these feminists belly aching about? It seems that secretaries do not get paid as much as engineers, so Liberals are demanding that they get equal pay for unequal work.

My advice to women, get educated. Stop playing the victim.

Question Period: Arrogant Liberal MP Refuses To Apologize!

Yesterday I posted a "point of order" that stated that Liberal MP Dr. Bennett had been mocking a Conservative Minister, but unfortunately this could not be verified because she was not on camera at the time. Today, we had three Cabinet Ministers stand up and verify her behaviour. Do we believe a Liberal backbench MP or three Ministers??

Watch the video and decide for yourself.

I am seriously starting to think that this MP needs professional help. Dr. heal thyself isn't working. Funny how a comment about dogs in question period, got national attention and the lefty media is silent on this Liberal MP mocking a Minister of the Government.

The opposition has been targeting female Conservative Ministers, and they have been ugly about it. We had the opposition bellyaching about Rona's hair, and now we have them attacking the Minister of Status of Women. Bev Oda is constantly under fire, and Diane Finely gets her fair share of attention, but holds her own.

What disgusts me is the feminists in opposition yapping about women and their rights and then gleefully stomping on a female Conservative Minister. It seems that feminists only like feminist women, and can't stand independent women who are confident and don't need the herd mentality to make themselves feel more confident. Go to the Parliament of Canada and look at the pictures of the female MP's. Anything strike you??

Strong women walk away from a bad relationship, weak women stay and make themselves victims in the process.

Question Period: Liberals Provide Amusement!

So, what's with the Liberal female MP's are they are suffering PMS at the same time, or are they just that dippy? As a female, I'm embarrassed for them, as they prove Peters principle holds true for both males and females.

First PM Harper slaps down Duceppe for his Alberta bashing. Thank you, someone has to make those Bloc MP's understand that the 8 BILLION they get in transfer payments comes from those "dirty" oil sands, or as the US reporters are calling it, Canadian sands!

Then Head is Fried, well, you watch it, is she really that dumb??? Seriously, is BC bud getting to her, or are feminists just that wacky? It seems so, because DR?? Bennett appears to be in trouble for mocking a government Minister, too bad the cameras didn't show it, but this is one DR who needs to heal herself, she is seriously out of control!!! Where is Iffy in all this? I suspect, busy writing another book about himself!

My kids stopped using "mocking" as a way of getting attention when they were about 5 years old, too bad Liberal MP's have not progressed that far.

The opposition has NO ammo to fire, they are trying to pretend that they are worthwhile, but as I watch this session of Parliament, what hits me most is their utter uselessness in the face of a strong Conservative party, with a very capable, down to earth, and honest Prime Minister leading us out of this economic downturn with a very sure hand. Sure Hand Harper!

PM Harper Rocks New York!

Okay, he did it quietly, but he was awesome because he finally got his wings. He is no Obama, thank goodness, but he outshines any world leader because he actually understands the economy and can talk to us on a level we can all understand. He does not talk down to us, he explains, without bi-partisanship, what is happening not just in Canada, but globally.

It bothers me that other nations look up the PM Harper, yet our own media is so biased against him that all they do is spew venom DAILY. Maybe they should consider that fact, look at their declining readership and advertising dollars and understand that maybe, just maybe, they might be losing readership because they have an agenda that close to 40% of Canadians are not buying into. HA! Not going to happen until they start losing their jobs too.

I was very proud of PM Harper when Obama visited, he more than held his own, he excelled. He continues to excel now, as the video clearly shows every thinking Canadian.

My sixth sense is tingling, the opposition made a big play with their coalition and they were shot down. They continue to be marginalized and stunts like photos on bill boards shows how desperate they have become.

As Rome Burns...

This article says it all about where our society is heading if we do not wake up.

Boy Shoots Dad's Pregnant Fiancee Before School, Police Say

WAMPUM, Pa. — Fifth-grader Jordan Brown boarded the bus and headed to school like he did most other mornings in this rural western Pennsylvania community.

But before he left home on Friday, authorities say, the 11-year-old boy had shot his father's pregnant fiancee in the back of the head as she lay in bed. He then put his youth model 20-gauge shotgun back in his room before going out to catch his bus, police say.

.....
The boy told police there was a black truck on the property that morning — possibly the man who feeds the cows — sending investigators to follow a false lead for about five hours, Bongivengo said.

.....
"An 11-year-old kid — what would give him the motive to shoot someone?" said Houk's father, Jack Houk. "Maybe he was just jealous of my daughter and the baby and thought he would be overpowered."

This is an eleven year old boy, who shoots his pregnant stepmother in the head, then goes to school as if nothing happened. He also makes up a story to the police about seeing a black truck. This kid is a clear example of what is wrong with society today.

It all started with divorce. This caused the breakdown of the family unit. I don't care if it's a husband and wife, two husbands or two wives, define family however you want, but understand that a lack of commitment to make a relationship work is what is causing our society to destroy itself. It is our kids that are suffering. They need stability and direction, they need a sense of who they are.

The Academy awards tonight were a perfect example of how society worships the vacuous super star over the doctors who save lives. I noticed that most celebrities did not wear the million dollar jewelry, as if that fooled anyone. What bothered me is that they are supposed to be role models to our children, and their lack of morals become what our children aspire to. It reminded me of Rome where people partied day and night while their society was crumbling around them.

Social workers are not going to solve our problems, coddling criminals is not going to root out the real rot in our society. Throwing more money towards every problem that exists is not going to change anything, if it was going to, we would have no more poverty.

As a society, we need to get back to the family unit. We need to care about where our children are, and what they are doing. Me, me, me, has not worked out, it's time to get back to the family, and the community. That is what will see us through this economic situation.

What Is Up With The Lefties?

Seriously, I'm used to posters on this blog getting emotional and name calling, on both sides of the aisle, that's why comment moderation is on, but what's up with the lefties?

We have Iffy pretending to be the Prime Minister of Canada by having his picture with Obama on a Times Square gumbo tron, hoping for American votes next election I guess.

Iggy's Times Square coup
Posted By ELIZABETH ELIZABETH THOMPSON THOMPSON, SUN MEDIA

All in all, the PR coup cost the Liberals $1,100 for U. S. distribution, $300 for the high-definition picture and $500 to distribute the photo to Canadian media outlets.

"We wanted to be sure that media had an opportunity to see that he did meet with the president," said Liberal spokesman Jill Fairbrother,

Dimitri Soudas, the prime minister's spokesman, said Harper doesn't have to buy advertising to get coverage.

"I guess Mr. Ignatieff is still more preoccupied with getting coverage in the United States rather than in Canada, where he has actually come back after 36 long years of being absent."

Well Elizabeth Elizabeth Thompson Thompson, maybe maybe you you should proof read your own article. Just a thought!

Then we have some sort of Catsella attacking everybody from bloggers to TV show hosts.

I love it: Steve Paikin makes a pathetic mockery of an Ignatieff crony's crude attempt to censor TVO

Now, it turns out there's another reason to respect Paikin: He stands up to windbag bullies who attempt to censor his show — even windbag bullies who work for Michael Ignatieff and try to pull strings with higher-up in the Ontario government. You can read Blazing Cat Fur for a very good summary. But I also suggest you read Paikin's own blog entry on the subject (which I have pasted in below), in which he describes the obnoxious tactics a certain Ignatieff strategist applies in a crude, unsuccessful attempt to censor the Feb. 12 installment of The Agenda.

To continue the nonsense we still have the lefties wanting undesirables in our country.

War resisters:

Liberal-NDP coalition would protect war resisters from deportation: MPs

Terrorists:

A week before U.S. President Barack Obama's first visit to Ottawa in February 2009, Canadian opposition MPs urged Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the new American leader to begin talks to bring terror suspect Omar Khadr back home to Canada.

When are terrorists not terrorists? When they're firing rockets into Israel. However, when they're fundraising in Canada, then they're seriously terrorists and somebody should do something about it.

How about Afghan Women? Remember when the female Afghan MP's came to Canada, and the lefties all rallied around their cause? Right me neither.

Ottawa – Members of the first Afghan parliamentary delegation visiting Canada, SAFIA SEDIQI (Nangarhar), FAWZIA KOOFI (Badakhshan), FARIBA AHMADI KAKAR (Kandahar), SAFURA ELKHANI (Bamyan), NASIMA NIAZI (Helmand) and SABRINA SAQIB (Kabul), spent a week in Ottawa meeting with Canadian officials, parliamentarians, NGOs, media and community representatives.

Accompanied by the Afghan Ambassador and Mrs. Samad, the Parliamentarians attended a reception in their honor hosted by Mrs. Laureen Harper, wife of the Prime Minister of Canada, on Monday evening at 24 Sussex, where they expressed their gratitude for Canada’s continued multi-faceted engagement in Afghanistan.

I read the whole press release and not one Liberal or NDP MP was mentioned, none were in any of the pictures. So, what are Canadian feminists doing to support and help Afghan women and girls, like the one blinded by acid because her face was uncovered on her way to school? Nothing it seems. They are too busy measuring Obama for a superman outfit:

Ms. Magazine on Barack Obama: “This is What a Feminist Looks Like”
Msweb

It’s not surprising to see President Obama gracing the cover of a magazine, except perhaps in one case. The latest issue of Ms. magazine features an illustration of President Obama tearing open his dress shirt and tie to reveal a T-shirt reading “This is what a feminist looks like.” Obama is the first male to appear on the cover in over a decade. Critics have questioned the decision to put Obama on the cover, especially at so early a stage in his presidency.

What's up with lefties? They appear to have lost any direction, because they stand for nothing except gaining power. The coalition was a clear signal that Canada comes second to the lefty desire for power. Why are the feminist MP's so quiet on Afghanistan women? Where are the protests against acid throwing Taliban? What do lefties stand for these days?

Prime Minister Harper's CBC Interview

The visit yesterday went really well, and I think Prime Minister Harper and President Obama had an excellent time. This new level of co-operation should be very helpful for future meetings. If you didn't catch the CBC interview with the Prime Minister, here it is, well worth watching.

What a class act! No revealing of secrets, not like whiny Iffy, who couldn't wait to run to the media with all the details of his talk. What an embarrassment, but he's a Liberal so he doesn't even realize how childish, and "me too" he looked.

The media will also have to cover all the meetings that President Obama and PM Harper will attend, where Iffy will not be left back at home crying to our media.

Let's see if the MSM even bothers to cover PM Harper's trip to New York on Monday to meet with the UN chief and business leaders.

On the heels of meetings with US President Prime Minister Stephen Harper travels to New York City Monday where he will hold private meetings with the UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon to discuss "global security issues."

A spokesman for Harper told reporters in a background briefing, the meeting follows on Harper's discussions with Obama. "It is certainly related to that," the aide said.

But he would not specify the topics of discussion, except to say Afghanistan is part of the security agenda.

Later that day, Harper will also hold round table discussions with American business leaders.

Harper will not address any questions from Canadian reporters while there, however.

Poor Tonda, she can't follow the PM around and ask questions that are likely to embarrass Canada. Interesting that American business leaders want to listen to our Prime Minister, hopefully they will be persuaded to invest in Canada.

Obama and Harper - Climate Changers!

The environmentalists have been harping at politicians that climate change is real, and something has to be done about it, immediately. We are now seeing politicians reacting, but not to the liking of climate changers. Today is a great example of how politicians are starting to change the tune on the environmentalists.

Both President Obama and PM Harper talked cap and trade, NOT carbon tax. This must be giving Gore and Suzuki fits. You see, with cap and trade, the billions are going to the companies and actual researchers, not to the environmentalists. Gore and Suzuki talk a big game, but do nothing to actually reduce the problem. Gore's carbon credit company is going to suffer. HA!

Carbon sequestration is just as ineffectual as a carbon trading market, so billions will go towards a technology that will work only to make people feel better about using coal or heaven forbid, Alberta's "dirty oil". The MacKenzie pipeline might finally get built, again cutting environmentalists out of the money.

This clip is a huge smack in the face to environmentalists, and they just have to take it. Good job Premier Stelmach!

We have environmentalists against the cleanest form of power generation, nuclear power, and now they are against eco-fuels, carbon sequestration and are left with carbon taxes, bird killing wind turbines and solar. They have boxed themselves into a corner where they can not protest governments actually doing research and innovation on ALL fronts, not just the ones they like, they have after all told us that we are in a crisis with climate. Funny how they never mention real pollution.

Environmentalists have been out foxed, because they are good at protesting and suing, but have not contributed one good invention to cure the world. If the environmentalists protest carbon sequestration that Obama clearly supports, how can they justify it without looking like idiots? Now governments can point to the mega billion dollars being spent and say, "see we are doing something", too bad that is money that could have been better spent on health care.

Hint to the MSM, Obama calls them oil sands NOT tar sands, get with the program!

The Green Monster!

No, not the eco-nuts, the opposition parties, specifically the Liberals, are jealous. You see in their minds, they should have been greeting Obama, they are the naturally ruling party you know. This is so unfair! Iffy should be the PM, he is a Harvard grad, just like Obama, and he understands the US soooo much better than PM Harper, because he has CONTACTS! He has lived in the US, more years than he has lived in Canada recently, so really, he deserves to be listened to by Obama. He has written books, just like Obama too. HA.

Poor babies, it is tearing them up to not be in power at the time of the Obama coming! They are left begging for time to meet Obama, and by then, PM Harper will have already clued Obama in, and most importantly, both President Obama and PM Harper will have issued a joint statement. So, for Iffy to come out later and state that he had influenced Obama in any way, will look foolish. Well, more foolish than he looks now, after this little whine fest.

Ignatieff expects longer meeting with Obama

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff wants to meet with U.S. President Barack Obama for at least 20 minutes, amidst reports he may only get half that time.

The meeting was initially supposed to be 30 minutes. Ignatieff, who has close friends in Obama's administration, hinted it may have been the Prime Minister's Office that influenced the time of the meeting.

"The question of how much time I have with the president of the United States is still being discussed," he told reporters Wednesday. The Americans have their interests; the prime minister, needless to say, has his political interests. I'm not going to let the prime minister's political interests spoil an important opportunity."

He noted that when Harper was leader of the opposition in 2004, he had a "good and extended meeting" with then-president George W. Bush.

"I will expect no less, and I'm sure I will receive no less," said Ignatieff. "The Americans have certainly been very co-operative and helpful."

Oh, cry me a river Iffy! What a baby. Read the comments, they mostly agree with me. Some very good points are made.

Obama Fan
It looks like the reporter failed to include the fact that Ignatieff stomped his feet and then rolled out his lower lip in a pout after making the comments.

Dan D.
I certainly agree that Ignatieff has got to put his personal aspirations aside and realize he is not the prime minister therefore there is no point in him meeting with the president of the United States. We can not have all the opposition leaders take up Mr. Obama's valuable time.

As for the comments regarding Harper's meeting with Bush, please keep in mind Bush spent much longer time in Canada then Obama is spending.

Obama is spending a mere five hours here in Canada. He doesn't have time to meet with every prime minister wannabee.

Very good point made by Dan D. This is a working visit, it is much shorter than a ceremonial visit, so if PM Harper is only getting a ten minute private chat with the President, why does Iffy deserve a 20 minute private chat? Also the Governor General, would normally get way more time as well, but won't because again this is not a ceremonial visit. When that happens, she takes the leading roll, funny how the media is forgetting all about that little detail.

The final point to be made, is that President Obama is dictating the timing and terms of his visit, so maybe Iffy should be blaming Obama, not PM Harper for his lack of time.

my 2 cents
Of course Iggy needs to spend time learning about all the issues by being involved in meetings...He hasn't lived in Canada for the past 30 years, so he has no idea what the issues are here.

If Ignatief gets to sit at the big people's table some day, then he can arrange his own meetings with Obama for as long as Obama wants to give him. In this case you can be assured that if Obama wants to spend more time with him, he will. The Conservatives are not dictating terms of this meeting as was mentioned in the story about today's press conference.

vince in trenton
Are people that gullable that they think Harper has that much power to tell Obama how long he meets with someone, even if it is tiny Iggy? You can bet the farm that the Canadians were given a timetable and told this is the way it is. But, all the whining about how Harper is robbing Iggy of his time in the spot light is being told by those who still think Harper has enough power that he caused the global economic problems...We Canadians are just a pawn in the great American chess game...always have been, always will be...BIG BROTHER IS KEEPING US IN CHECK....

Iffy and the Liberals are making themselves look real bad by whining and crying about how unfair it all is, poor things. Bet Layton will be seen prowling the halls of Parliament trying to get his photo taken with Obama. What an embarrassment the opposition is, I wonder if Iffy or Rae will ask Obama for an autograph? HA!

The green monster is loose, and it is making the Liberals look like the babies they are, pass them some soothers! Or maybe we should start mailing soothers to Iffy, now that would be funny!

Prisoners? They Want Prisoners?

Well, here is the solution to Obama's Gitmo problems. Let's see, Gitmo has some prisoners that need a new home, and we have some innocent people being held by terrorists.

I would be perfectly willing to have an exchange. Our Canadian diplomats are worth one Canadian Gitmo prisoner, heck they are worth at least 40 Gitmo terrorists.

Al-Qaeda want prisoner exchange for Canadian diplomats

UNITED NATIONS -- Suspected kidnappers of two Canadian diplomats on a United Nations mission to Niger have set a "prisoner exchange" as a condition for their release, Canwest News Service has learned.

This emerges as al-Qaeda's wing in North Africa Tuesday claimed responsibility for holding Robert Fowler and his Foreign Affairs aide Louis Guay -- as well as four Western tourists kidnapped in Niger's neighbour Mali, near the border between the two countries.

Six innocents for 40 prisoners from Gitmo, just make sure that Omar Khadr is one of those prisoners exchanged. Lefties should be happy with that solution, Khadr would go free, and Gitmo would start to get cleared out. It's a win win solution!

Neither Canada nor the UN would have control over any prisoners the kidnappers might seek in the region.

As such, officials assigned to the search for the trio fear the quest for a resolution will be lengthy, sources said on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the investigation.

Now, I'm not sure how all those Gitmo prisoners will get along with the North African Al Qaeda, but I'm sure they can work it out. They are all brothers aren't they? HA!

Why aren't the Al Qaeda asking for their terrorists back from Gitmo if it is such a hellhole? Guess there is no honour amongst terrorists.

Iffy Wants In!

Well, the cries of "The West Wants In", have died down, now that we have a government that understands the west. Poor Iffy, only back in Canada for 3 years and he thinks he understands the west. HA!

Iffy wants in! He can come here to Edmonton and some transplanted Liberals will go hear him speak, but he will be unable to connect with real Westerners. He has no clue what makes the west tick. For too many years the Liberals have ignored the west, their policies have hurt the west, and this guy thinks he can come here and tell us all is forgiven while maintaining that he will still form a coalition with the far-left/socialist NDP?? He wasn't even elected as leader of his own party, and he expects us to listen to him?

Well he can stick his Harvard educated, arrogant, non-Canadian butt out of our business. Being from Harvard might sell big to the Toronto elite, but it won't buy you spit out here in God's country. Here is the problem:

Western rage helped sink coalition: Ignatieff "You are, after all, looking at someone who turned down the chance to become prime minister of Canada, and I did so, in part, because I felt that it would divide the country," said Mr. Ignatieff. "I want to be someone who unites the country, and that includes the West."

He turned down the chance to be Prime Minister??? When?? What world does this guy live in? Did we elect him and he turned it down? Where was I when that happened? Also, someone who unites the country does not sign a coalition agreement with the separatists.

Our country was more united than ever before until the coalition raised it's ugly head, and turned Quebec into even more of a power grabbing province then they were before.

"I'm in this business to win a majority Liberal government. But I have to also responsibly say, if we fall short of that, then it might be conceivable to be in discussions with, say, the NDP.

At least he comes right out and tells us he wants a majority, even if it means a coalition with the NDP. PM Harper can't even dare mention the word majority without the lefty media going crazy crying "hidden agenda" and "he's taking away woman's rights".

I am so sick of lefty whining about national daycare and global warming. The Liberals are drooling, hoping the economy tanks so that they can ride in on their eco-friendly cars to save the day, with carbon taxes and GST taxes, and personal and business tax increases.

Shovel ready? Yup, mine is ready to shovel the crap back at the Liberals and their unelected leader from the US of A.

If It's Good For The Ducks.....

It's good for the bats! Right? If 500 ducks killed in a tailing pond means $800,000 in fines, what about those wind turbines that are killing bats at an alarming rate? Shouldn't they be charged as well, or don't bats matter in the eco-system?

Let's also not forget those birds of prey. They keep down the mice and rabbits but they are being sliced and diced by those eco-friendly wind turbines. That's okay because those towering monstrosities are cleaner than nuclear power, or so they tell us.

Wind turbines taking toll on birds of prey
By John Ritter, USA TODAY
ALTAMONT PASS, Calif. — The big turbines that stretch for miles along these rolling, grassy hills have churned out clean, renewable electricity for two decades in one of the nation's first big wind-power projects.

But for just as long, massive fiberglass blades on the more than 4,000 windmills have been chopping up tens of thousands of birds that fly into them, including golden eagles, red-tailed hawks, burrowing owls and other raptors.

Do eco-nuts ever actually THINK before they act, or is that not a requirement of being a greenie? They want eco-fuels which leads to more people starving. Then they want more wind turbines which leads to more birds and bats dying. Then they try to save some birds by removing all the cats from an island, just to have the mice and rabbit populations explode, threatening the very birds they wanted to save. Then they talk about saving the polar bears by relocating them to Antarctica, which would kill off the penguins.

They are doing this to our planet without any proof that greenhouse gasses are even a problem. There is proof that bats are dying, there is proof that people are dying from malaria, but there is no proof that the earth is warming.

Fear is their motto, because they are like spoiled little children who have never grown up. They spike trees so they don't get cut down and then fly all over the world to protest against CO2, a naturally occurring substance, that plants and humans need for life. They buy phony carbon credits to salve their guilt. Why are they guilty? They are guilty because they are living, and this bothers them.

Nuclear power is a big no-no for them, why? They associate it with "war", and therefore it must be bad. The eco-nuts are just the long ago hippies dressed up in a new skin, called global warming. They listen to washed up politicians and bug guys who are busy lining their pockets with carbon credit money and living the high life.

If "dirty oil" companies have to pay for 500 ducks, then why don't "clean wind turbine" companies have to pay for thousands of birds? Double standards show that the eco-nuts are just that, nuts. Maybe we should start recruiting squirrels to pluck those nuts off their spiked trees and store them for the next long cold Canadian winter.

The Dying Media.

So I get a call offering me a free trail of the Globe and Mail. The spin they used was that they have "changed". Not buying it. I used to comment at the Globe, but it has become such a forum for the same posters day in and day out, I don't even bother to go there anymore. So, scratch the Globe and Mail as a daily read.

The Toronto Star? Are you serious? As if they have a clue about western Canada and our issues. Never read it, not going to start now.

The Sun, read it online mainly for the letters to the editor. My husband does buy it so they get some of our money. The Edmonton Journal? Are you kidding? They should just call themselves the Edmonton Star and be done with it.

I read the National Post because I get it free at work, but I would buy it if I didn't. I enjoy the "full comment" section online the most.

TV news is a sad, biased media. I don't need to hear the same story, by the same talking head every twenty minutes. I have also noticed that CTV has stopped putting video on their site showing the Prime Minister. This is an example of a story without video backup. Is CTV so broke that they can't create a video of our PM or were they all gone early for a long weekend? The experts are usually lefty idiots who have a hidden agenda. I miss the Mike Duffy show, and since he is gone do not watch any political programs. Luckily I get Fox News and that is about the only thing I watch on TV these days.

Moving away from news, what happened to all the good TV shows? I watch the "Dog Whisperer" and Discovery Channel, Mike Holmes and the occasional cooking show. I sometimes catch CSI, but that's it.

What's up with Hollywood these days? Where are all the good action movies? The last movie we rented that I enjoyed was "Eight Below". Lately my husband has been renting movies and he ends up stopping them less than half way through because they are so bad. Where is the creativity? Or are they so busy being political activists that they have no time to actually make a good movie?

The only media that I enjoy these days is radio. I listen to talk shows as often as I can because real Canadians can phone in with their opinions.

The problem with media is that they have no idea of what Canadians are thinking, most are too Toronto centric and they are too biased. They are no longer reporting the news, they are making it up. They are telling us what to think and feeding off each other. Too often you see the Canadian Press as the author of the same news article on the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star and CTV. Are they so lazy that they can not research a story on their own?

The media wonders why they are losing money? Maybe they should ask the average Canadian why. The demand is dropping because they think they know what is best for us, and nobody is going to convince them otherwise.

The dying media, you can't die fast enough for me. Stop feeding us slop and we might come back.

Stimulus package explained

Sometime this year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A format:

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. No, they are borrowing it from China . Your children are expected to repay the Chinese.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?
A. Shut up.

This is worrying

Beer contains female hormones
Last month, Wits University and RAU scientists released the results of a
recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer.
Men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption.
The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain
Phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women .
To test the theory, 100 men drank 8 pints of beer each within a 1 hour
Period.

It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects :
1) Argued over nothing.
2) Refused to apologize when obviously wrong.
3) Gained weight.
4) Talked excessively without making sense.
5) Became overly emotional
6) Couldn't drive.
7) Failed to think rationally.
8) Had to sit down while urinating.

No further testing was considered necessary.

This is amazing!

2009 Inauguration Photo - SUPER HI-DEF
This is absolutely the BEST in 'high definition'..... Really amazing.
Zoom in ('double-click' an area) ....and watch it focus.
Then zoom some more... and wait for focus.
What a surveillance tool this is !
This picture was taken with a robotic camera and weighs in at 1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera) It was a Canon that pulled together over 200 individual shots.

Each zoom in takes a second to focus ...and then you can see some amazing reactions.

And terrorists wonder how they can target individual houses? DUH! This was a camera, imagine what the military has for surveillance.

As A Conservative, I Support PM Harper!

I like and respect PM Harper, and most importantly I support my Conservative MP, James Rajotte, the committee chairman of the Finance committee. It is important to realize that PM Harper can not do everything by himself, even though the MSM would like you to think that PM Harper is such a tyrant that he has TOTAL control over ALL his MP's. I know for a fact that this is not true.

My MP constantly consults his constituents to find out what bills he should support. He gets over 60% of the vote, not only because he is a Conservative, but many Liberals support him because he a fair person and represents all people in his riding. He gains respect because he is an honest and moral person.

I was just called about getting a free trial subscription to the Globe and Mail, they used the line that they had recently revised their format, same song I heard a year ago from another Globe and Mail representative. They have changed nothing. They understand nothing. I told them I get the National Post for free at work, they hung up. HA!

Is it really so hard for them to understand that they are losing 38% of their readers because of their openly Liberal bias? The media thinks we are stupid.

Well if being proud of my PM for the first time in years is stupid, so be it. I cringed every time I saw Chretien on the world stage. I would have laughed at Martin, but actually felt sorry for him because he was clearly out of his depth. Iffy will change nothing, and if he wants to be compared to Trudeau, good luck with that buddy!

I watch question period now, I never did before, I never cared about what our politicians were doing, until Adscam was exposed, then I got mad and finally volunteered. The opposition can not seem to understand that the PM is a Conservative. They yap about Conservative ideology and ignore the fact that they have their own agenda. That is why I have comment moderation on, again. The lefties who come to my site are a prime example of brainwashed individuals who call me and my posters names because they have no facts to support their positions. I do not want this blog to be turned into a Rabble site, one of those hate spewing sites is enough.

So, lefties, get lost. I gave you plenty of chances to respond to my posts with facts, and all I get is spewing:

Except he didn't cut them off himself. He was being trained to do so though. Like any soldier is trained to kill and frighten their enemy. If this makes him so bad, what is learning to kill doing to our own troops? Do you believe Canadian troops should also be barred from returning to Canada since they have learned to kill in wars?

This guy probably doesn't even realize that he is comparing our military to terrorists, or maybe he does because he thinks it's "cool".

What I feel is a sense of freedom, I can finally stand up for Canada and declare my support for our Prime Minister, and if the lefties don't like it, so much the better, they are dinosaurs anyways,

So, I support my Prime Minster, Stephen Harper, and refuse to bow down to the lefties who hate anything Conservative. Do they sense what is bubbling just below the surface? Conservatism.

Get Out Of Jail Free!

Iffy gave his Newfoundland MP's a "get out of jail free" card, now other Liberals are jumping on the bandwagon. During Question Period, all the BC Liberal MP's stood up to yap about how hard done by BC was in comparison to all other provinces. Maybe they should look at what their Liberal Premier has been doing, like a carbon tax that might have helped to kill all those jobs.

Funny how the provinces in trouble are all led by Liberal provincial governments. Hey, I might be on to something here. HA!!

Are the Toronto Liberals next, or the Quebec Liberals, who is going to splinter the Liberals further? The Liberals are playing Monopoly, with Bay Street as their target. Problem is no one actually accepts monopoly money as a medium of exchange, and that's all the Liberals have to play with.

NDP MP Linda Duncan also showed how she supports her riding, by voting against the budget and worse of all telling Albertans that carbon capture is not viable. Edmonton, you get what you vote for. I can at least respect the Newfoundland MP's for voting with their constituents, Duncan is never going to do that, the NDP is the least democratic party we have in Canada. Socialists, it's their way or nothing. I know the caliber of candidate they attract, and Duncan is a prime example.

Liberals splintering into provincial groups is what Iffy should have expected, but after only 3 years in Canada, maybe he has no clue what makes Canada work.

Torture In Canadian Prisons!

I am weeping as I read this, weeping I tell you! I can't stand the treatment our prisoners receive, it's barbaric I tell you! Just barbaric! Did you know that they FORCE our criminals to go to the dentist???? We spend $2.2 million a year on filling cavities and cleaning teeth alone, add in $322,000 on dentures, and the picture starts to become clearer. Obviously our prisons are using dental procedures as a form of torture, how else can they explain the huge amounts going towards dental visits? (I know they are being tortured because NO ONE ever voluntarily goes to the dentist!)

OTTAWA -- Canada's prison service is spending millions of taxpayer dollars on everything from dentures to prosthetic limbs.

Documents obtained through Access to Information reveal how Corrections Service Canada manages its annual budget of $2.2 billion to care for its 14,500 inmates.

Hold it, let's do the math....2.2B divided by 14,500 inmates means that we are spending $151,724.14 per inmate per year!! That is outrageous, and it does not include trials, court appointed lawyers, judges, police, etc. Think about that for a minute, how many of you make that kind of money. You are expected to pay taxes on anything you earn and with whatever is left over, you need to support your family.

Yet the bleeding heart "hug-a-thug" lefties want more services provided for these inmates. Can you say, money making industry for social workers and activists? They are presently bleating for this little terrorist:

Omar Khadr is willing to face prosecution in Canada and to reside away from his controversial family if it means his release from Guantanamo Bay, his lawyers said Tuesday.

Mr. Khadr's lawyers will present Wednesday a “reintegration plan” designed to assuage the public's fears about the 22-year-old terrorism suspect's possibly imminent return to Canada.

How do Canadians feel about this? It appears that 80% of Canadians want nothing to do with Omar.

Here is a perfect solution, Hans Island. (That should be far enough away from his family.)

Add, this:

And we are set!

No guards needed, just a food drop once a week/month, let the inmates run the place. Bet it costs a lot less than $2.2B a year to run. I wonder if Khadr would agree to those terms?

Killing the Golden Goose!

Environmentalists are constantly yapping about "dirty" oil and shutting down the oil sands. Their wish might come true. Already we are seeing layoffs and easterners returning home to claim EI.

Atlantic premiers have toured Alberta for several winters now to plead for native sons and daughters to return home, but they could never drown out the siren call of those six-figure oilpatch paycheques.
Not any more. With two of the four premiers sending their regrets to Monday’s third summit in Calgary, despite the lure of prime Flames hockey tickets, there’s a polar-opposite subtext in the messaging: Don’t move back all at once. Please.

So those wonderful cheques that easterners were sending home for years are about to stop, further depressing the Atlantic provinces. That is step one in the success of the environmentalists fight. Free the workers from their oppression in the "tar sands".

Next we have both the provincial and federal governments working to stop the oil production.

Alberta and Ottawa moved Monday to charge an energy heavyweight with breaking environmental laws after the industry – and the country – were humiliated last spring by the image of hundreds of oil-soaked ducks dying in a toxic byproduct of the oil sands.

Syncrude Canada Ltd. could face fines of up to $800,000 if convicted under provincial and federal environmental legislation in connection with the deaths of 500 waterfowl at one of its tailing ponds north of Fort McMurray, Alta.

Step two is killing the golden goose, or should I say ducks. Environmentalists are excited about the power they now have against government. Let's see how excited they are when Alberta can not send any money to the federal government to fund their little environmental projects because the goose is dead.

Jane, Who Fed You The Dirty Questions?

PM Harper appointed 18 new Senators, and two have been under fire ever since. Duffy and Brazeau. Funny how Duffy was a hero at CTV until he got his appointment to the Senate. Green is a bad colour CTV, it makes you look sick.

Jane Taber is a gossip columnist masquerading as a reporter, as you can see in this clip. She has to read her questions and even calls Brazeau a deadbeat Dad without knowing the real facts. Pay attention to her smug attitude. Who fed her the questions she was reading? Who gave her what she obviously thought was the "dirt" on the new Senator Brazeau?

Full interview here!

Typical CTV, attack any Conservative, for any reason. In this case Jane pretends to not know who might be spreading all those nasty rumours about Senator Brazeau. Well, Senator Brazeau was very careful not to say who it might be, so let me enlighten Jane. How about Phil Fontaine and the AFN? Why would Fontaine be against an aboriginal in the Senate? Maybe he thought it should have been him that was appointed to the Senate, but he hitched himself to the Liberals a long time ago and if you read the report I linked to, you can see it's all about getting more money from taxpayers than it is about helping his own people.

This article might have ticked him off as well.

The problem is that the AFN retains a view of righteous entitlement to interfere and intervene. Government after government, both Conservative and Liberal, have made repeated and earnest attempts to bring about redress for various past wrongs to First Nations peoples. But every time, it seems, the AFN finds flaws, fault and fuel for dismissal of such efforts.

This time, the blame that the AFN seems so ready to frequently lay at the feet of government rests with itself. The AFN has much to explain -- to its citizens, to its families and to Canadians who fund it.

At the heart of the matter, it must ask itself one fundamental question: How long can it, in good conscience, carry on the charade that it actually cares about grassroots First Nations peoples?

Then we have this report:

The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples was originally known as the Native Council of Canada before reorganizing in recent years. Its leadership says the group represents Metis and off-reserve status and non-status Indians.

Therein lies the controversy, as many groups say the Congress doesn't represent them.

"The allegations are still hanging in the air that the Congress declared itself to represent people that don't feel they are being represented by the Congress," said Paul Barnsley, a journalist who has covered aboriginal politics for years.

Barnsley said those he spoke to following the appointment viewed it as a double-barrelled move.

"People are wondering how much this is a recognition that the Congress supported Stephen Harper's party when they first became government and how much of it is a snub at the other national chief," said Barnsley, referring to Assembly Grand Chief Phil Fontaine.

"There is some rivalry there and it is a very interesting political scenario.

And this article is interesting.

“Canada’s Aboriginal community should be celebrating the appointment of one of their own to the Senate of Canada. It’s very sad that certain individuals choose instead to let petty jealousies overtake reality. It is time to put all this behind us and move on to the important business of helping our peoples.

For really biased reporting, you need to go to a free lance reporter by the name of Cuthand. It shows the great divide in the First Nation's nation.

Brazeau has a history of speaking out against the elected chiefs and calling for more accountability. His solution to the "Indian problem" is to throw out the baby with the bathwater. He wants to see an end to the Indian Act and the reserve system and he wants to set up about 60 Indian communities across Canada. This is just not in the cards and has not been seriously supported by any other First Nations leaders.

So, if some First Nation people are against Brazeau, it must now be okay for CTV to be against his appointment as well. Or might it be that both Duffy and Brazeau were okay until they revealed themselves as conservatives.

Look how the lefties slammed Emerson a Liberal turned semi-conservative (mainly because he cared about the softwood lumber issue), but loved Belinda, a fake conservative turned Liberal Cabinet Minister by betrayal. These lefties can suck and blow at the same time leaving their voters unfulfilled and wondering why they don't feel better about themselves.

Mulcair Has A Temper Tantrum!

The NDP are trying to prove just how useless they really are, and they are doing a fine job of it! The finance committee met for it's second time and Mulcair had a tantrum because he didn't get as many turns as he wanted. Funny, why is he even on the committee when the NDP voted against the budget?

He is one of my least favourite MP's in Parliament, and for him to act out like he did really confirms why I dislike him. The finance committee is the one committee that the government has control of, and for him to make allegations after only one meeting shows how disruptive the NDP are going to be on committees. They are the main reason that Parliament was so dysfunctional before and it looks like they are up to the same tricks again. After Layton got caught making backroom deals with the Bloc, you would think that they would smarten up.

Maybe we should start sending the NDP soothers, think they would get the hint?

Friday Funnies: Pillows

The first funny, is from my husband, who is now black and blue. Just kidding, he's unhurt, for now! HA!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE BOTTLE OF WINE

For all of us who are married, were married, wish you were married, or wish you weren't married, this is something to smile about the next time you see a bottle of wine:

Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road.

As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride.

With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.

Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman. The old woman just sat silently, looking intently at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a brown bag on the seat next to Sally.

'What in bag?' asked the old woman.

Sally looked down at the brown bag and said, 'It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband.'

The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said:

'Good trade.....'

Three Up, Three Down!

Now that the budget has passed, Question Period is a little funnier, with even the Liberals able to laugh at themselves. I can't tell what was yelled at Iggy, but everyone seemed to find it extremely funny. Too bad you won't see these zingers on the evening news, it might reduce the partisan fighting.

That said, I have been trying to decide who Iggy reminds me of the most, maybe you can help me decide.

We've already had Kermit the Dion, so is it Count Iggy or Iggy the Grouch?

UPDATE: Rural and Right, wins the contest hands down with this photo:

Awesome job Rural and Right!
