So, what's with the Liberal female MP's are they are suffering PMS at the same time, or are they just that dippy? As a female, I'm embarrassed for them, as they prove Peters principle holds true for both males and females.
First PM Harper slaps down Duceppe for his Alberta bashing. Thank you, someone has to make those Bloc MP's understand that the 8 BILLION they get in transfer payments comes from those "dirty" oil sands, or as the US reporters are calling it, Canadian sands!
Then Head is Fried, well, you watch it, is she really that dumb??? Seriously, is BC bud getting to her, or are feminists just that wacky? It seems so, because DR?? Bennett appears to be in trouble for mocking a government Minister, too bad the cameras didn't show it, but this is one DR who needs to heal herself, she is seriously out of control!!! Where is Iffy in all this? I suspect, busy writing another book about himself!
My kids stopped using "mocking" as a way of getting attention when they were about 5 years old, too bad Liberal MP's have not progressed that far.
The opposition has NO ammo to fire, they are trying to pretend that they are worthwhile, but as I watch this session of Parliament, what hits me most is their utter uselessness in the face of a strong Conservative party, with a very capable, down to earth, and honest Prime Minister leading us out of this economic downturn with a very sure hand. Sure Hand Harper!

Wow, Hedy Fry really is dumb. Wow - what a display. And, what was with Carolyn Bennett? She looked like she was about to explode. I've noticed that Harper rarely, if ever, reads from a sheet of paper but the opposition MPs sure do. What's with that?

Doesn't it make you wonder about the opposition claims that it is PM Harper that creates the nastiness.
I would say that if the opposition would stop their silly games and GET TO WORK, we might actually have some things passed - like the BUDGET!!!
I get such a kick out of the opposition crying because no stimulus dollars have flowed but they are refusing to pass the budget?
You know, we have endured years of slurs against Harper - most of them coming from LPC or their supporters and, in particular, a former MP/blogger and his supporters, and yet with one rogue ad (puffin) which was not all that offensive and the LPC and supporters keep on dragging it out of the closet.
The LPC have waged an anti-harper campaign for years and we have tolerated it. I think that Canadians are starting to wake up to the fact that Harper doesn't come out with nastiness - but the LPC sure does.
I loved his smackdown of Duceppe and I loved seeing Hedy make a total fool out of herself and Bennett self-destructing. I thought her left hand was going to fly right off the end of her arm.
The last election showed Canadians how lowdown the LPC is - between the former MP's blog and Dion's stupidity, we got a really great look at their dirtiness. Of course, AdScam, Chretien's lies and Martin's dithering didn't hurt our cause. Add to that Gagliano, Dingwall, and Radwanski plus the gun registry and a certain Chretien family member's arrest and we're getting a really good look-see at the character and moral level of the LPC.
Ignatieff is taking a different tack. As opposed to slandering the PM, he is promoting himself. Fine and dandy - self-promotion is permitted although it sure makes the self-promoter look silly - but it's not nasty. It seems that Ignatieff has his work cut out for him - I am not convinced that his entire party is behind him nor am I convinced that Rae is not still trying to overthrow the current monarch and...you can bet your booties that Dion has run to his mommy and mommy will speak with the principal about that nasty Ignatieff who stole his beanie.
Just a question - how come she "can't respond" right away - does she need a day to figure out how to word her "apology" so that it still contains a smear????

I am supposed to drive to Edmonton later today, for meetings tomorrow. Hubby concerned re the roads. What is the weather like up there.
These meetings are important, but not worth taking any risks.

MaryT, the roads are reported to be fair to good, until just before Edmonton. It has been snowing and Red Deer is always bad, but if you take it slow, it should be okay.
Martin is right, those two women are too old for PMS!
It's pretty sad when the Liberals appoint someone as their health critic that's consider as a loon by many in the medical profession. As to Alberta's dirty oil, it seems every one forgets the sludge in Iraq that is just pump in a valley, but we don't want to piss of the Arabs do we.
Well, Martin, I don't know about that. There are some women who claim to go ape-s**t during the days prior to a visit from their "little friend". But, as Hunter said - they are too old for PMS. Seemed more like good old change of life rearing its uglier side.

Having checked with some truckers coming thru, they do not advise travel, by small car, to Edmonton. So, have decided to stay home and watch curling.
We had planned to take highway 36 to Hardisty and were told no way.

Hey MT - it has been snowing all night and day although I note the sun is now out. I would say the same as Hunter - they say the roads are fair - I haven't been out on the highways though.

My daughter is driving from Fernie on Friday so hopefully things smarten up by then!!!
My daughter traveled from Calgary to Edmonton this morning with no issues. Went slow. Left at 6am and reported in to me around 9ish. Roads off the main #2 might be a different story tho.
Tough call MaryT - watching curling (from beautiful Victoria and yes there may be snow here today!!) and driving to Edmonton. Those ladies "rock" ... "hurry hard hurry hard"
Thanks for all the road tips, but as we are about 4.5 hrs from Calgary, in great weather and no rcmp, decided not to take the chance of running into bad drivers.
I'd have missed QP, and a couple of great games. Best result so far was the Yukon beating Jones.

This morning I got the message at both JNW and BLY that they had been cancelled or something.
I was at TT around 6.00p.m. Alberta time, and everything was fine.
He is on haitus and has had guest hosts for the last week or so. Perhaps one of them hit the wrong button or something when doing a post. This morning I asked, at TT what the problem was with JNW and BLY.
Maybe someone is hacking or something. Will keep checking.
