Flashback: A guy is at a party 17 years ago, and drinks enough to get silly, and make an unfortunate comment that resurfaces today. He apologizes and that should be the end of it. Yet, it's splashed all over the news, hour after hour, endlessly.
Present Day: A few weeks ago, something really hateful was said in the House, nothing reported about it on the news, an apology was made and accepted, that was the end of it. Let me refresh your memories, as most of you wouldn't have seen this little gem on the news:
What if I was raped 17 years ago and someone found a tape of it today, should it be broadcast to the world because the guy who did it is now a well respected businessman? What if the guy had totally repented and reformed his life, but his wife didn't know about it, and it now wrecked his marriage? Is that okay?
Do lefties have no sense of respect for people? It's okay to steal a ring because you are gay, BUT call a gay a name, and your political career should now be over?? Does the media not understand that these are real people, with real lives?
Maybe we should dig up some tapes of drunk Liberals making stupid comments. I hear Belinda was dancing on tables at one Liberal bash, but well, she is a Liberal, so it was funny. Or how about we dig up some Trudeau tapes, and Douglas tapes from the past? How dare I even suggest that, when they are dead, oh, you mean like Chuck Cadman? Hasn't stopped the Liberals now has it? They want to drag the PM into a committee meeting to grill him. Even suing them doesn't work.
Let's dig up all the dirt we can find on every politician, past and present, Fry and burning crosses, Ruby and those little street urchins got the beating they deserved...the list is endless. CBC feeding questions to the Liberals, maybe it's time to shed the big floodlight on all MP's.
Or, we can accept an apology, and move on.
