New Seeing Eye Puppy Meets A Mirror!

She's a little doll! She found the hallway mirror, and picked a fight with the puppy she saw. We shouldn't have allowed her to bark, our bad, but it was too funny not to record.

She's had a few hectic days. She was sent cargo from San Fran to Toronto, where she spent the night, then from Toronto to Edmonton this morning, so we cut her some slack.

We went to Air Canada cargo to get the first two pups, two more are being sent soon. Both puppies were cute are could be, and seemed to have weathered their trip really well. One of the funniest bits of the day was when we were getting the puppies out of cargo, we heard a goat! Seriously, someone was sending a goat somewhere! Our little one is the one in the blue collar!

We normally would not be able to have a puppy, but Dogs With Wings has started a new program where some puppies go to their office from Monday through Friday. During the day volunteers come in to play with the puppies and socialize them. They also have a special trainer who works with them on their basic commands. So that means that we can have the puppy even though we both work.

This is a year long adventure we are going to experience to the fullest and hopefully at the end of the journey, she will be graduating to help someone who is disabled.

She has already figured out that if she sits, she gets a treat! I will post updated pictures on my sidebar! Let the adventure begin! Shhh, someone is all tuckered out!

I should have given a huge kudos to the people of Air Canada Cargo. We thought the puppies would be pretty stinky by the time they arrived, but the people in charge of live cargo had obviously cleaned out their crate and kept the little ones clean.

Thank you to all the people of Air Canada Cargo who looked after the two puppies! They arrived in tiptop shape. Obviously someone or I suspect, many people, cared enough to look after those pups. Not sure how the goat is going to do! Come on, a goat or two cute puppies, you figure it out!

Does your puppy have a name? It's a lab...right?

Almost like watching a baby in a jumper in front of the mirror.

Awwww. Look at the cute litte puppy wuppy. I just love Labradors and Goldens.

Hunter, I see you're wearing a sweater. Out here in Ontario, we hit 26 on Friday and around 27 yesterday. Today is more like normal - around 15 or so which is comfortable. I had my A/C on yesterday afternoon because my house got too hot to be comfortable.
