An excellent speech meant to wake up America, unfortunately they voted for Santa Claus instead.
The games being played by Obama are going to hurt the American economy, and as a consequence, the Canadian economy as well, so buckle up and if possible, go west.
It really irks me when people whine about all the immigrants taking Canadian jobs, yet our own Canadians from other provinces refuse to relocate to where the jobs are, in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Come on out here, it's only minus 25 tonight, you can handle that! Or maybe not, you central Canada sissies! (meaning Toronto, not the rest of the province) We do love our eastern brothers and sisters from Newfoundland though! They work here and send their cheques home to improve the living standards of their families, no flies on them!
As for the Nexen deal? Small potatoes in the oil sands. You have to know that China is going to want a pipeline to get the oil to them, so it will be interesting to see if the lefties continue their attacks on the oil sands now, or if they bow to the major world polluter, China and Mo Strong.
Expect to see more takeovers of Canadian companies, especially by US companies. Their economy stinks and with Obama elected for another 4 years, they will be shifting their operations to a more investment friendly environment, namely, Canada. Win-Win for us!

Speaking of employment opportunities Hunter, I'm sure you have noticed here in Alberta the ever growing Philipino population that have come to fill positions in the hospitality, service and care facilities that we here in Canada have, for whatever reason, decided to avoid en masse.
I do have to say though, we are lucky to have them here, my dad was in an extended care facility that employed a mainly Philipino staff and my mother is now in an assisted living facility with a mainly Philipino staff, they bring a very healthy work ethic and extremely friendly disposition with them which shows in their work, something that we could definitely learn from. And yeah, it's only minus -21c here today, buck up, shut up and get your a$$e$ out here, we've got lots of work for everyone here in Western Canada!!
