Red Ali's Alberta NEP...Even The PM Doesn't Understand It!

Well the PM isn't the only one who is confused, so is every Albertan.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Thursday he isn’t quite sure what Premier Alison Redford’s call for a “Canadian Energy Strategy” means.
Calling it a “national energy strategy” in response to a question on a Calgary radio talk show, Harper said he wants further information about the idea, which is also backed by the governments of Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
“The honest truth is I don’t know what precisely what it means. I’m looking forward to having some discussions with some provinces to find out what they have in mind in terms of that,” he said in an interview on QR77 radio station.
What is Red Ali hoping to accomplish? Premier Elect of the Year? Most Liberal Premier in Canada? Most Aggressive Female Premier? Shortest Reign for a Premier Ever?

Funny how she has been quiet on all the American money pouring into the coffers of our supposedly "non-political" environmental groups. How she supported Chiquita instead of the oil sands. Shame Ali, shame. Are you really an Albertan because I am starting to have my doubts.

She is so obsessed with appearing strong and confident that she makes herself weak. Stelmach might have been over his head, but she thinks she is so smart that we won't notice she won by all the lefties (teachers and unions) voting for her. My advise to her?.......

Call an election and we shall see what happens. She is aggressive, opinionated, and pushy, not a good combination. She either wasn't in Alberta when the NEP was implemented, or she agreed with it and wants it back, there is no other explanation for her behaviour.

Red Ali has to go.

How Is The US Doing Under Obama?

Not so good. I was browsing real estate sites today, and it was really very depressing, unless you are an investor.

I set my perimeters for $150000 or less, and headed to Arizona and Texas. I thought I would find a few properties, boy was I shocked!

Lots of short sales and foreclosures. Look at that, you can get a 3000 to 3500 sqft house in San Tan Valley for $140,000! Winter vacation hear I come!

Or how about this Texas house?

What's the price? $149,900...unbelievable!! What really depressed me was that many of the homes were empty, so where have all those people gone? They have walked away from their homes because they can't afford the payments anymore. It reminds me of the Trudeau NEP reign and how people in Alberta did the same thing, just walked away from their homes.

Obama is spending like mad and it is not helping Americans. Until those homes start to sell and small and medium businesses start hiring again, America is going to stagnate. They will become the next Japan. Printing money is not the answer.

If you don't feel too much like a vulture, you might want to think about investing in some US real estate. Our dollar is close to parity, and after looking at properties in Sun City Arizona, my bones feel warmer thinking about winters down there. Why do Canadians retire and still live in coldville? I know I will keep living in Edmonton in the summer, you can't beat our soil for growing veggies but winter in Arizona sounds good right now. What bothers me is that all their yards are rocks, no grass anywhere, but that's a small problem. Time to plan a trip to Arizona, check out some properties in person, thanks to Obama.

The Liberals Locked Into Graves Strategy!

Iggy made it to a high school in Saskatchewan to tell them to learn to speak French. I guess those rural kids should learn it while milking the cows, mucking the barns (Iggy has been in one!), and driving the tractors while planting this spring, because, well, they just might want to be a Supreme Court judge one day.

Oh, and forget about having that nasty gun handy if a bear shows up, especially if the gun isn't registered. The bear will report you to the nearest mortuary...oops police officer.

Could this guy be anymore out of touch than Dion eating a hot dog with a knife and fork? He is following the Graves strategy to a better more divided Canada, but it will be a Liberal Canada.

In his advice, Mr. Graves could hardly have been more blunt. “I told them that they should invoke a culture war. Cosmopolitanism versus parochialism, secularism versus moralism, Obama versus Palin, tolerance versus racism and homophobia, democracy versus autocracy. If the cranky old men in Alberta don’t like it, too bad. Go south and vote for Palin.”

What a nice Conservative ad this will be for the next election! They will even be able to use real tape showing that he stood by his words, until he realized the damage it would do to his company, EKOS. So far, I have it Rahim $0, EKOS $61 million, yes $61 MILLION.

I think Graves was truly blindsided by Kory because Liberals never think they are going to be held to account for their actions. Even here in Conservative Alberta, the Liberals spout endlessly about what is wrong with the Conservative government, and Conservatives just ignore them. I can't imagine what it is like in a non-Conservative province.

Is the media reporting on Graves? Are they following him to his cottage? Who is the media after? Helena of course.

Will Iggy continue to use Graves strategy, to divide Canada? I think yes. So far we have:

1. Abortion for developing countries paid by us.
2. Support of the gun registry.
3. French for judges.
4. Promoting "scandals".
5. Demonize our troops.

Alberta will be the whipping province, as per usual, because the Liberals have nothing to lose by demonizing us. They have no seats here, and no hope of getting any soon. This has been the case since Trudeau imposed the NEP on Albertans. The Liberals are counting on Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces to gain power again. Too bad that most of Ontario outside of the GTA is more Conservative than Liberal. Now that Danny has shut up, Newfoundland might go back to the Conservatives, and this could be the majority that is needed.

After watching the opposition in action against Rahim and how much power the committees have to force Canadians to their will, while hiding behind parliamentary privilege, we need a clear majority next time or a coalition will become a reality, and that will be a disaster for Canada. The committees already have a majority for the lefties, and that is why nothing is being done. The Afghan committee has still not gone to Afghanistan to see what is really happening, they are too intent on demonizing our troops for turning over Afghanistan prisoners to the Afghan government.

The Liberals are going to continue dividing Canada with their "policies" and it could mean the death of the Canada we know and love.

Shut Down The Oil Sands! They Shout!

Funny how the environmentalists yap about big oil granting so much money to the "deniers" and fail to tell us where their money is coming from. Here is a group that is taking a complaint about the oil sands to NAFTA. Notice that the government of Canada has actually given them money. Taxpayer money going to try to shut down the oil sands? Now this is a real scandal!

Canada faces NAFTA complaint over oil sands

In the latest move in a long-running campaign to highlight the impact of oil sands development, the submission by Environmental Defence Canada, Natural Resources Defense Council and three citizens charges that toxic tailings ponds are being allowed to leak and contaminate ground water.

So, Canadian environmental groups are trying to get NAFTA to shut down the oil sands. Where do they get their money? Take a look:

Industry Canada and Public Works Canada.....that's our tax dollars being used to sue the Canadian government. Also notice TD Friends of the environment. Want to see the board of directors?

That Suzuki guy gets around now doesn't he! Environmental Defence's Annual Report is interesting in that they provide no details about how they spent the money.

Wow! How did they increase their revenues so quickly? I don't know, their annual report is more of a propaganda report than it is a financial report. How do they get away with that? Can we send Sheila Fraser in to audit them? They did get federal money, so she should be allowed to determine how they used it.

Cut off the money NOW! If the City of Toronto wants to give them money, fine, but they should get NO federal tax dollars. If they keep up their attacks against the economic engine of Canada, they just might get their wish. I would love to shut down the oil sands for as long as it takes to make both eastern Canada and the US lefties to scream uncle. It would be payback for Trudeau and the NEP.

Maybe Environmental Defence should worry about the pollution of Toronto, all those smog alerts can't be good, but living in Alberta I couldn't tell you because we have never had a smog alert. So who are the polluters? You know all those people, six million isn't it, all crammed into one small area in Toronto, the pollution from that many people is a huge problem. Maybe Environmental Defence could look into that, oh and while they are at it, maybe they could pressure McGuinty to close down Nanticook, which spews more pollution than all of the oil sands development. I guess econuts don't sh*t in their own houses. How about they go to China and protest all the polluting coal plants they are building. Right, I thought not, they love communists and hate Canada, why else would they sue Canada with taxpayer funds?

I want to know how big the grants are from Industry Canada and Public Works, and who authorized it. Cut Environmental Defence's grants TODAY!

You Stinking Little Lefties!

I am so mad at these two LIBERAL provinces, for their sucking up to the "Euro" crowd of dummies, for their bashing of CANADA the country I love, I could spit bullets!

Gerretsen and Quebec Environment Minister Line Beauchamp held a joint news conference to say the two provinces -- home to two-thirds of Canadians -- will continue to work together to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. They also said the federal government's targets are weak.

The Conservatives have worked hard to unify this country, and then LIBERAL idiots do their best to make every single Albertan remember the NEP. You jug-heads! You suck-ups! You typical liberals who want to be loved by the oh so classy Euro crowd, while forgetting that Alberta, Newfoundland, and Saskatchewan support your sorry asses.

Ontario has yet to close down their coal fired energy plants, but Alberta is the problem? Thank goodness I know that many Ontario residents do not agree with their politicians. These politicians will pay come election day. Liberals are so out of touch with the feelings of voters, they think their elitist opinions are actually main stream. That is why they only hold Toronto and Montreal, they forget about the rest of us peons out here freezing in the west. They listen to the Toronto media and think they are still relevant. These little people are about to meet real Canadians, who have a much better grasp of reality than they do. It's time for tea parties in Canada.

An interesting addition is the calculation of per capita amounts. This is particularly interesting when one considers how rapidly Alberta's population has grown. If one simply takes the totals of $243 billion and divides by Alberta's population of roughly 3.2 million people, one would be severely understating the damage to your average Albertan. The average Albertan has contributed $105,405 since 1961 without getting anything in return.

I am streaming mad! You Liberal jerks are doing everything you can to tear Canada apart. You have just re-ignited the whole the west wants in issue. You suck holes! How can you go to Copenhagen and bash our province, and think that we are going to just take it? Do you have any idea of how much we give to you? Look at these facts....

Federal Support to Newfoundland and Labrador....2,389
Federal Support to Prince Edward Island.........4,159
Federal Support to Nova Scotia..................3,023
Federal Support to New Brunswick................3,539
Federal Support to Quebec.......................2,263
Federal Support to Ontario......................1,220
Federal Support to Manitoba.....................2,929
Federal Support to Saskatchewan.................1,397
Federal Support to Alberta...................... 987
Federal Support to British Columbia.............1,213
Federal Support to the Yukon...................21,873
Federal Support to the Northwest Territories...22,797
Federal Support to Nunavut.....................35,586

Let's look at provincial DEBT, Alberta, the Yukon and the Northwest territories have none. Quebec is a whole different story.

So, debt ridden Quebec and Ontario, go to Copenhagen and slam Alberta to make themselves look good. I say Alberta should shut off the taps. China wants our oil, I guess the east wants Saudi blood oil instead.

Noting the negative attention Canada has received from environmental groups at the conference, Gerretsen echoed Toronto Mayor David Miller's comments from earlier in the week. "It can be an embarrassment to us," Mr. Gerretsen said. "We would much rather be seen as the consensus-builders, as we have often have been at these international conferences."

Consensus build this you ahole...You shut down your coal plants in Ontario and Alberta will shut down the oil sands, see how quickly you will be begging us to restart production. Get a bird killing wind turbine in your back yard and see how expensive and inefficient they are. Drive a hybrid, what are you going to do with the dead battery? Light your house with those squiggly dim light bulbs, that contain mercury. Idiots!

What happens if our western farmers, who are under the control of the Canadian Wheat Board, all switch to corn for ethanol. No wheat for the CWB to sell, no food for the poor, only fuel for our cars.

I can't remember ever being this ticked off. The NEP was bad enough, but for two LIBERAL provinces to turn their backs on Alberta, to gain global approval while they are dependent on Alberta for their very survival makes me sick!

Ontario Whines, Alberta Quietly Pays!

Dalton whines about how hard done by the average Ontario taxpayer is, and that they deserve more because they give more than any other province in Canada. Well, I beg to differ. There is one quiet province that contributes more per capita than Ontario, they have also paid off all their debts. Now don't believe me, read this short little study, it's a little dated (2005) but it still gives a good picture of the history of equalization payments.

Notice how Alberta was giving way more in payments while the NEP was in force. Then, once our economy was killed, we slump along for awhile leaving Ontario to prop the country up, and then we get going again, and have been paying way more than Ontario for years! We also took a 20% hit to pay off our debt, the media never mentions that little fact.

What will Dion's carbon tax do? Same thing the first NEP did, kill Alberta and leave Ontario holding the bag. Problem is, Ontario is tanking and not able to prop up Canada again, so if Dion's carbon tax kills Alberta, who will step up to the plate? Quebec? HA!

Does the average Ontarian understand this? I think so. I have faith that lots of Canadians understand the Dion carbon tax. They understand it is about stealing from one part of the country to buy votes in another. Do they understand if they help to kill Alberta and Saskatchewan, that no other provinces are able to come to the rescue?

The federal government joins in with Ontario to help with infrastructure, are Ontarians happy?

Toby.
Long over due. Ontario has paid far more than it's share for many years and has been shut out by the Reform Party aka PC. I guess Harper is afraid there just might be an election this fall. This must be really bothering the Western Separatists.

I can only hope that "Toby" is not a good representation of what all Canadians feel.

Oh Dear, The PM Uses BLUNT Language!

Now you all know I do not allow swearing on my blog, so, I am about to break my own rule for the sake of freedom of speech. I want to warn you, do not let your children watch this video, it is deeply disturbing, our PM uses "blunt" language.

If you are from Alberta, you will be very very shocked. So, (taking deep breath) PM Harper mentioned......the NEP! There I said it! National Energy Program! It is a dark reminder of a period that Albertan's will never forget, and it has reared it's ugly head again, because of Dion's carbon tax. Well, you watch it then tell me how disturbing this is....I had a hard enough time making this video, so the least you can all do is watch it and tell me what you think.

See what I mean, even thinking about the NEP gives me the shakes. (or do I need a beer? HA!) I also noticed that PM Harper said the Liberal carbon tax would "screw all Canadians" not just Albertan's this time. May my fellow Canadians never be made to suffer through NEP II, especially if it is not confined to Alberta, this time it would hit Saskatchewan, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and BC hardest. Add in Ontario and it's auto/manufacturing sector, not to mention agriculture and all rural areas, the list is endless.

For the love of Canada, don't be sucked into the Liberal carbon tax, it's a wealth transfer disguised as an environmental program. I call BS!!!
