"I Love CBC"....Really?

Are these people serious? A rally to support CBC against "imaginary" cuts? What cuts? Oh do they mean the cuts that "might" happen if the Conservative party gets a "dreaded" majority? I used to think all the nut bars were in the NDP party, but it seems the NDP are the reasonable ones these days.

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - About 120 people sang, chanted and marched through the downtown of this small central Ontario city on Thursday in support of the CBC.

The group, called I Love CBC-Peterborough, announced a postcard campaign to save the public broadcaster from federal cuts and handed out “I Love the CBC” bumper stickers at the Peterborough Public Library before marching downtown.

The group is a branch several CBC support groups that have launched since a local member of Parliament – and a parliamentary secretary to the minister of Canadian heritage - quipped publicly in 2010 about pulling the plug on the CBC.

“Maybe it’s time we get out of the broadcasting business,” Peterborough MP Dean Del Mastro said in November.

“There’s a suspicion among this group that the Conservative Party is hostile to the CBC,” Roy Brady, one of the rally organizers, said at the rally.

Kady Denton, another organizer of Thursday's march, said she has heard from many people in Peterborough that they are embarrassed by Del Mastro's comment.

“We want the government to recognize the CBC as a national treasure,” she said.

Oh my God, they want the CBC recognized as a national treasure? Seriously, these people walk among us. I say, if they "love" the CBC soooo much, they can support them as a public broadcaster. You "love" them so much, you pay for them! Leave me out of it. I want none of my taxes going towards this Liberal shrill organization. Dean Del Mastro is correct, the government has no business funding this useless organization with our tax dollars, same goes for the UN.

Same goes for the separatist Bloc, who use blackmail to get what they want (huge pensions paid for by all Canadians). Gary Clement has them pegged to a tee!

Maybe we should start a facebook group called "I Hate CBC" and see who gets more hits. No, that would be childish, and only make us lower ourselves to the protester level, which is a tool the Liberals and NDP use without a thought and of course the media never calls them "attack facebook groups".

A sexual predator happened by our old house one day, he exposed himself to the female tenant in the basement apartment. The police knew who he was, and went to his house to apprehend him. He had run home and changed his shoes because the last time he had been caught, the police could tie him to the assault because of his shoes. So, this sexual criminal learned from experience.

Have protesters learned from experience? Seems like it, and the media is all too happy to go along with them as long as it sells papers, or hurts the government. Let me see, activists wearing black including their shoes went wild in Toronto, and they are not to blame for the police rounding them up and holding them in jail? Get real you idiots. What sickens me is that unions have become so politically active on their members dime. Go ahead and protest, but do not use funds from the government (Pride parade) or union members who are forced to pay union dues.

It's time for the silent majority to become vocal and drown out the special interest groups. You do not have to go to a protest to do it, you can email, and most importantly comment on sites like CTV. Lefties are the kings of protests, it's time for us to stand up to a vocal minority. Don't tread on me sounds about right. I am talking about all those lefty activists who shout about anything and believe in nothing.

Your mother wears army boots used to be an insult by lefties, it is now a sense of pride to all our female troops. As far as the stupid people protesting nothing, except themselves, go volunteer at a soup kitchen, then get back to us.

If It Saves Even ONE Life, It Will Be Worth It!

Where have we heard that recently? Anyone? How about a standard lefty response to why the gun registry should not be scrapped. One billion and counting, and no proof that the registry has saved even one life. Now, one billion, hummm, where have I heard that today? Oh, right, security for the G8 and G20, is going to cost one billion (give or take a few million).

Going with lefty thinking....If it saves even ONE life, it will be worth it! That's not what they are saying? What, do they want protesters to burn more buildings? How about a suicide terrorist getting close enough to blow some diplomats up? Isn't a billion worth their safety?

OTTAWA–Gun-control advocates say they are horrified and fearful that Canada's long-gun firearms registry is on the verge this week of being scrapped because the Conservatives may have enough support from the opposition to kill it.

Horrified and fearful??? Oh, grow up Susan Delacourt. Who is she quoting? None other than ....

Wendy Cukier, president of the Coalition for Gun Control, says her organization has been monitoring the progress of a Conservative private member's bill to abolish the registry and is now bracing for it to clear an important vote in the Commons on Wednesday.

I would provide a link to Coalition for Gun Control, but I find it a creepy, still living in the 80's, blame everyone but the criminal site. You can find it for yourselves if you feel compelled to go there. It's about as enjoyable and biased as Rabble.

Seriously we are supposed to listen to Coo-kier? If the lefties feel gun control is the way to save lives, then they should be thrilled that the government is spending money to make sure that at the G8 and G20, the only ones with guns will be the security forces.

Personally, I don't like the billion plus a YEAR that goes to the CBC, or the billion for the gun registry, or the billion for security during the G8/G20. Make the protesters pay for the costs of the extra security. After all, Ann Coulter had to pay for her protection against the lefty mob at the U of Losers. Why not make the protesters pay?

Freedom of speech, but not freedom of destruction. You break it, you pay for it!

The Power Of The Boycott!

Conservatives don't like to tell other people how to live their lives. So the idea of going out and protesting is foreign to us. Same goes for boycotting something. Lefties on the other hand use both protesting and boycotting as a powerful tool to get what they want.

It can be effective (short term) like the prorogue scheme that was led by the opposition parties. It can also go seriously wrong like during the Olympics when the protesters themselves were hijacked by even more extreme protesters. Luckily the protesters at the Olympics have cooled off and protests are now close to none existent. Funny how moderate (is there such a thing?)protesters are now scared to protest because the hard line lefties might show up and break more windows and attack more police officers. Violence is not the Canadian way. Peaceful protests are democratic, hooligans breaking windows is not. It's good that Olympic protesters realize that the hooligans do more damage to their causes then help.

Why should a small proportion of people be able to dictate to the majority? Special interest groups use their voices by protesting and gaining the media attention. Protesting is changing as the facebook group on proroguing indicates, and Conservatives are catching on. Case in point, Bed, Bath and Beyond. They backed off within a day of coming out and stating their were boycotting Alberta's "dirty" oil. Why?

You know, some of their towels are not as woolly as this train of mush. “Our third-party transportation providers” — what would those be … truckers? And what does it possibly mean “to be aware of the issues associated with fuels generally”? That they are flammable? How much they cost? That they help things to run? And for sheer doughy padding, consider, “we have asked them to lessen their use of fuels which they know would be counter to this goal, where feasible.” It has all the clarity and solidity of a spring swamp wrapped in a blanket of fog.

My guess is the wavelet of backlash from Alberta at the ForestEthics press release was sufficient to haul the monks of BBB BBB BBB out of the eco-choir. BBB BBB BBB may have thought that sending a little incense to the Al Gore contingent of The Science is Settled and The Himalayan Glaciers are Toast Church of Global Warming (pre-Climategate Division) would titillate the balance sheet among the eco-fervent. But they quickly thought better of it. Oh that old Gloria Mundi. How Sic it Transits.

So, Alberta citizens got on their computers and emailed Bedbugs and gave them an earful. Good for them. It shows that we can have an impact without having to get out in the streets and protest.

Look at the board of directors for Forest Ethics. They are all lefty do gooders with an agenda. Notice how they own "eco-friendly" companies? So, what's in it for them? Profits. That "dirty" word, that allows them to live high on the hog by pressuring companies into submission, while they rake in the profits from their own capitalist businesses. Hypocritical much?



Interesting that Forest Ethics gets 77% of their money from grants which they fail to detail in their financial report. This organization clearly has no clue what ethics are all about. Let's find out who they get their money from, and start protesting them. We are now clearly seeing how these organizations survive, not by the average citizens support, but by sucking on the government teat.

It's time for us to play their game. It's time for us to start boycotting their businesses, and it's time for us to start supporting those businesses that are driving our economic engine.

Dopenhagen Protesters and Polar Bears.

I am sick and tired of lefty protesters and misinformation from eco-nuts. I applaud every fossil award that Canada receives, it shows we are not buying into the eco-nuts agenda. We have oil, lots and lots of oil, in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland, and we don't kill anyone to get it to market. We are blood free. Yet eastern Canada buys blood oil, they ship it on huge oil tankers across the Atlantic, and yell at Alberta for our oil sands. They look down their huge noses at Conservative Alberta, but they see nothing wrong with getting their oil from dictatorships. The eco-nuts target the oil sands and forget about the Saudi's and Iran...now there's a great example of human rights justice. NOT.

Do people in eastern Canada even realize that they are using oil from Iran/Saudi Arabia and not Alberta oil?

Ricardo Acuña, Executive Director of Parkland Institute, points out that “Albertans will argue that there is enough oil in the tarsands to supply for all of Canada’s needs well into the future, but unfortunately people in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces do not have access to that oil—it all flows south.”

Yup, you easterners are buying Saudi oil, not Alberta oil, yet Alberta sends over 8 BILLION a year to Quebec. How fair is that?

We get the fossil awards because the eco-nuts don't dare target China, a dictatorship or India. They get no money from those countries. They are eco-terrorists. Why are they all covering their faces?



The kids are running wild. I wonder who paid for all those protesters trips to Dopenhagen? Do they slurp up the caviar and then go out and protest getting there in their limos?

Hundreds arrested at Copenhagen protest rally

Hundreds of people were arrested in Copenhagen today after sporadic street violence broke out during a major protest march as UN climate change talks reached their halfway point.

The demonstration, organised to urge conference delegates to work out a binding deal to tackle climate change, was largely peaceful but was marred when a group of protesters threw bricks at police.

Sunday marked the coldest Dec. 13 in Edmonton’s history.

Environment Canada recorded a frigid -46.1 C, or -58.4 C with wind chill, at the Edmonton International Airport at 5 a.m., Environment Canada meteorologist Pierre Lessard said.

The old record of -36.1 C was set last year, he said.

Vigilantism cheered: A hero in handcuffs

Alberta Vigilantism.

A vigilante is a person who violates the law in order to exact what they believe to be justice from criminals, because they think that the criminal will not be caught or will not be sufficiently punished by the legal system.

Several groups and individuals have been labeled as vigilantes by various historians and media. Vigilantes have been central to several creative fictional works and are often depicted as being heroes and retaliatory against wrongdoers.

Members of community watch programs and others who use legal means of bringing people to justice are not considered vigilantes. For example, in 1979 Curtis Sliwa founded the Guardian Angels in New York City, a recognized crime fighting organization that now has chapters in many other cities. See also citizen's arrest.

So, all the rural community needs to do is start up it's own version of the Guardian Angels! This is something to think about, did the community have a rural crime watch in place? If not, they should get busy and start one.

The point. We have Sudan kidnappers, Somali pirates, Sri Lankan protesters supporting a terrorist organization, and the only one being called a criminal and charged, is a farmer protecting his property. His name has been released and reported in the press, but the guy who actually stole the ATV and truck has not been named, I wonder why? I used to respect the RCMP and I wrote most of the negative reports off as typical lefty pandering to the criminals, but lately I am starting to think that Alberta would be better off with our own provincial police force.

Notice that these criminals are never called criminals or terrorists, except for one poor Alberta farmer. I hope he goes for trial by his peers, which would be 12 farmers if our justice system worked properly. Remember when the Liberals jailed our farmers for selling their own wheat?

Thursday's demonstration was organized by a minority of rebels, according to the federal minister responsible for the wheat board, Ralph Goodale. Most farmers support the current regulations, he said during an interview in Ottawa.

Notice how Goodale had no problem calling our western farmers REBELS, not protesters!!! Now they are being called VIGILANTES, not ordinary citizens protecting their property! Wow, Alberta really is the wild west! Guess that's why I feel safer here, we know the difference between terrorists, criminals, gangs and ordinary citizens.

Thou Doest Protest Too Much!

Really lefties, we are tired of your endless bleating about any cause that cranks your engines. Think back to the "ban the bra" protests, how's that working out for you ladies, a little droopy now are you? Then there were the protests against the Vietnam War, blaming the soldiers that were fighting for freedom, while the hippies did LSD and forgot what had build America.

We have protesters for everything these days, the most recent, those protesters against Israel. Let's not forget the protesters for the Tamil terrorists, the childcare protesters, the union picketers, and the environmental protesters. The list is endless, and people are getting protested out.

I find myself getting immune to these protests. All those rallies, with flags from other countries flying, make me mad. Immigrants come to Canada to escape their pathetic lives in their "old" country, but they still protest what is happening back home. Tough, either get with life in Canada or go back to your conflicts. Either you want a new life here, or you want to bring your old hates here, but as a born and breed Canadian, I do not want your conflicts spilling over into my families life. Go back and help your people if you feel so strongly for your cause. Like the hippies of old, only you care about Hamas, Hezbollah, Tamil and the Taliban, all of which are terrorist organizations.

Does anyone "deomocratically" elect a terrorist regime? Didn't happen in USSR, didn't happen in Cuba. Judging by the planned protests that have been televised, the Muslim leaders have orchestrated this whole event worldwide.

Let Israel & the Palestinians duke it out once and for all. As far as I'm concerned, Israel will be doing the Palestinian people a favor by getting rid of the Hamas.

Israel is acting in the only way that the Hamas understands. It was Hamas that started to fire rocket into Israel, hundreds every day so this is the only logical move to be made. If Hamas and the Palestinian people want peace then they should prove it and stop attacking any one that is not in agreement with their beliefs.

From Jan. through Nov. of 2008, Hamas, who is funded largely by Iran, launched 1212 rockets and 1290 mortar bombs from Gaza into southern Israel. For many weeks, Israel had been imploring Hamas to stop shooting, to allow farmers to attend their fields. Hamas refused. Israel responded after a long 11 months with an offensive into Gaza. At least they telephoned prior to this, informing Hamas to move any civilians away from the targeted military areas to avoid casualties. It is not their desire to see innocent people and children suffer. Israel's offensive remains a military one, as opposed to Hamas. I have little respect for Hamas' bombing of Israeli day cares, schools, supermarkets with the INTENT to kill Israeli civilians. Their agenda remains to wipe Israel off the face of the map. I support Israel in her efforts to have an international team to help enforce the ceasefire. It seems the rest of the world is more concerned with the fate of Palestinian children that Hamas is.

It appears that Canadians are not being fooled by these protests.
