Human Rights Or Saudi Values?

I have watched Ezra Levant's video of his opening statements. Excellent opening Ezra!

More important, watch Shirlene McGovern's body language, it tells an interesting story.

As Ezra begins, she is sitting forward, writing notes, making eye contact, and appearing to be attentive. Watch her eyebrows, you can tell when Ezra says something she disagrees with, her eyebrows go up. She even rolls her eyes when he quotes: "the commission is out of control".

But, the most telling body language comes at around 5:07 of the tape. It is an instant and immediate reaction to these words of Ezra's, "Saudi values". She reaches down, then sits back in her chair, for the first time in the interview, she also crosses her arms. She remains way back in her chair, with her arms crossed, and she looks down, she stops making eye contact, for the rest of the tape.

What that tells me, is that her mind is closed to any argument against the "Imam". She doesn't react to any of Ezra's comments about the commission, and that same commission taking away Canadians freedom of speech, nope, but she reacts to Ezra even mentioning "Saudi values".

For those of you wondering, who makes up this wonderful tribunal here in Alberta, and what their mandate is, here's their site.

Can't wait to watch her body language on the other tapes. VERY telling!

I agree with you, great opening remarks by Ezra as the "interrogater" (just writing that creeps me out) suddenly stops listening because her mind is already made up. I hope he chews her up and spits her out.

So much for the separation of Mosque and State is right! I've posted this video on my Facebook page and I hope that more people do. The fact that Canadians are being kept unaware of this by the media is revolting and I'm going to make sure everybody I know is made aware of this.

If this was the government browbeating one of its citizens at the behest of the Catholic Church, you better believe that it would be on the front page of every newspaper in Canada as a clear violation of the separation of Church (or mosque in this instance) and State. There is no confusion on why we aren't hearing about this one: the complainant was a Muslim Imam.

The frustration is that because of the left wing control of the agenda, most people are blind as to what is occuring - these star chambers have been operating for years with more power than the court system. The court system (with exception of the appeal levels)don't get to pick and choose what groups it will listen to. They don't get to decide to hear the only the cases that are policically in keeping with their predjudices and biases. And lastly, if they skew reality to fit their own view, there is a legimate review process in our court system - there is not valid, impartial appeal to the HRC. The HRCs are groups of biased closed-minded ideologues intent on forcing their agendas down the throats of all Canadians - unfortunately, because they have no ethical or moral barriers to their hatred of anyone who disagrees with them, they will abuse it to the fullest and sleep well at night. They don't object to Saudi values because when it comes to imposition of one ideology above all else and using the power of the state to control the masses, they share those values.

Excellent comments by all. Thank You!

I think the tribunals have made a big mistake, they operated for years in the dark, attacking little guys, now the light is shining on them.

Kind of makes my site name relevant. "Climbing out of the dark..into the Conservative light".

Keep that light on them, they will scurry back into the dark if we let them.

Ya gotta admire that Ezra! A very gutsy guy. Let's hope this marks the beginning of the end for HRCs.

"No male can really understand how it feels to be kicked by a tiny little foot, just when you were falling asleep, it's an unbelievable experience, as is childbirth.

But Dad's have their own special place, they are there to wrap their arms around their family, and give them that sense of security, peace and love, that only a Dad can give."

Shut the fuck up, asshole.

Wow anon-o-nut, what do you have against us women having children? Or is it strong men supporting those families you don't like?

Dang, why am I feeding a troll.
