Alberta Going Wild??

I think the polls showing Wildrose surging are excellent, but you need to look at the last election results, riding by riding, to get a realistic view of how many ridings the Wildrose might win. Elections Alberta has all the results, by polling station if you care to dig that deep.

When you make the assumption that it is mainly former PC voters who are going to vote Wildrose, it brings up some interesting situations. Take just three Edmonton ridings, and assume that 50% of the PC vote will now go to the Wildrose.

The Liberals in Redmonton must be feeling good, because the split vote could mean that all three of these ridings would go Liberal, and other ridings in Edmonton are in play as well. This assumes that all Liberal and NDP voters still vote the same way, as they have no reason to change their votes. Will Liberals switch their votes to the PC's because they feel Alison is more RED than BLUE? Interesting possibility.

Given that many Conservative/NDP/Liberal voters stayed home last election, it is hard to predict any riding. If the voter turnout increases, no riding is predictable. This is a really exciting election. Momentum is important, and Wildrose has that momentum right now. I hope it gets stronger as the election goes on. Rural Alberta can change everything by shifting their votes to Wildrose. Those ridings are very much in play, and the Liberal/NDP are not a factor. The change starts with rural voters, and Calgary. Get out there, help your Wildrose candidate, you can make the difference this election!

Get out the Wildrose vote.

Let The Stampede Begin! Hee Haw!

PC voters are still clinging to the illusion that their party is actually Conservative. We need to get out there and inform them that Wildrose is the only Conservative party in Alberta.

Remember that Albertans change parties with no warning. I thought it might be last election, but even I voted PC to save my riding from a Liberal, we won by 58 votes. This time around, I am voting for the candidate I want, not the candidate that can defeat a Liberal. I know that splitting the vote will mean that we get a Liberal MLA, but I am willing to live with that in the short run. I will be happy with a minority government, with the Wildrose as the opposition, but I am hoping for a minority Wildrose government so we can get rid of Orange Alison.

Speaking of orange, I can not differentiate between the PC and NDP signs.

Why is Alison wearing orange? I thought that was the NDP colour?

It is orange, not red. What is with all the brain washed kids holding Redford signs? Bet it was teachers getting out the juvenile vote to show their support for Orange Ali. The colour of PC is BLUE, not orange. Drive down a street in Edmonton and you can't tell who is voting NDP or PC, the signs look the same as you drive by.

Danielle has to be called out as well, she was wearing red for the election announcement, not green or blue.

It's a small thing, but it's the small things that can win an election. Wear the right colours.

"The Bus" That Won An Election?

It appears the Wildrose bus has made it to the big times! Ellen Degeneres posted it on her facebook page, and someone there commented that Jay Leno had it on his show too. Whether it was for fun or not doesn't matter, Wildrose couldn't have paid to get this kind of advertising. It's "The Bus" that won an election!!

Last polls out had Wildrose trailing the PC's by 5 points, now, after "The Bus", they are tied at 38% each.

So, "The Bus" didn't hurt Wildrose at all, it actually caused people to sit up and take notice of the election. All good. Danielle handled the issue with humour and that probably won a number of people over to Wildrose.

I'm excited that we are now in the election. I noticed the candidate in our area already has signs going up. I wonder how badly the PC's are being hurt by the number of former PC'ers who would have worked on their campaigns, who are now working for the Wildrose?

If you don't know where to find out about the Wildrose platform, it's right here, for your reading pleasure. Go positive, Go Wildrose!

Mulcair, Arrogant and Has A Temper.

The NDP members, well those who were able to vote, have spoken, and Mulcair is the winner. Good for the Conservatives, not so good for the NDP, but who am I to care if the NDP becomes a Quebec rump party?

Here are two older videos of Mulcair in action:

Nice anger management Mulcair!

WOW, arrogant or what? It appears he doesn't like reporters either. He is going to be fun to watch. Definitely not Jack, and make no mistake, it was Jack that got them all those seats in Quebec.

If PM Harper had showed such disrespect during Question period, or to a reporter, he would have been called an arrogant dictator......oh wait, they call him that anyways. The left is tolerant, as long as you agree with their point of view. It will be interesting which lefty the media backs, the NDP or the Liberals in the far distant federal election. We already know they will CONTINUE to disrespect our Prime Minister.

Call The Election Alison!

Alberta is ready to rock the province! The PC's are running scared. Many current PC's are not going to run again. Alison was forced to appoint a candidate because of an MLA resigning (happened to be the chair of the do nothing committee), so she appointed a Mayor who is allegedly under investigation for illegal donations to the PC party. Nice!

I can tell they are worried because I have been "randomly" polled 4 times now to see who I am going to vote for, and the only party who would happen to have my number are the PC's. The last question the poll asked was about the do nothing committee and whether the PC's returning only 6 months of their ill gotten gains was enough. Of course I said NO, NO, NO! They also asked if my impression of Alison was favourable or not. NOT! Was my impression of Danielle favourable or not. FAVOURABLE! If many old PC supporters like me are giving them the same response, and by all the polling I think they are, the PC's are in trouble. Big time.

When Alison the Red finally calls the election, hopefully Monday, get your Wildrose sign, and volunteer for their candidate in your riding. They are a young party, and they need all the help they can get.

Finally, for your entertainment, Ezra discusses Obama and his reversal on part of the Keystone Pipeline. Enjoy!

Boot the long in the tooth PC's, Alberta is a young, dynamic province, we need a young and dynamic leader, Danielle Smith!

Friday Night Funnies: Water Bed

So, there I was, just relaxing in front of the TV...
When the kids yelled: "Mom,come see the kittens..."

An Arab Muslim enters a taxi cab in Dallas, Texas..........
Once he is seated he asks the cab driver to turn off the radio because he must not hear music as decreed by his religion and; in the time of the prophet, there was no music, especially Western music, which is music of the infidel's and certainly no radio ........
So the cab driver politely switches off the radio, pulls over to the side, stops the cab and opens the back door. The Arab asks him: “What are you doing man?” The Texan answers: “In the time of the prophet there were no taxis. So get your ass out and wait for a camel.

Always say thanks for what God has given to you...Amen!

Note that the sign says NOT to get on the bed, but oh well the best way to motivate people to do something is to put up a sign saying "Don't........!"

A  Newfoundland farmer named Angus had a car accident. He was hit by a truck owned by the Eversweet Company.

In court, the Eversweet Company's hot-shot solicitor was questioning Angus.

'Didn't you say to the RCMP at the scene of the accident, 'I'm  fine?' asked the solicitor.

Angus responded: 'Well, I'll tell you what happened. I'd just loaded my fav'rit cow, Bessie, into da... '

'I didn't ask for any details', the solicitor interrupted. 'Just answer the question. Did you not say, at the scene of the accident, 'I'm fine!'?'

Angus said, 'Well, I'd just got Bessie into da trailer and I was drivin' down da road.... '

The solicitor interrupted again and said,'Your Honour, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the police on the scene that he was fine. Now several weeks after the accident, he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question. '

By this time, the Judge was fairly interested in Angus' answer and said to the solicitor: 'I'd like to hear what he has to say about his favourite cow, Bessie'.

Angus thanked the Judge and proceeded. 'Well as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my fav'rit cow, into de trailer and was drivin' her  down de road when this huge Eversweet truck and trailer came tundering tru a stop sign and hit me trailer right in da side.. I was trown into one ditch and Bessie was trown into da udder. By Jaysus I was hurt, very bad like, and didn't want to move. However, I could hear old Bessie moanin' and groanin'. I knew she was in terrible pain just by her groans.

Shortly after da accident, a policeman on a motorbike turned up. He could hear Bessie moanin' and groanin' too, so he went over to her.. After he looked at her, and saw her condition, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes.

Den da policeman came across de road, gun still in hand, looked at me, and said, 'How are you  feelin'?'

'Now wot da heck would you say?'

 Tolerance

I am truly perplexed that so many of my friends are against a mosque being built at Ground Zero. I think it should be the goal of every American to be tolerant. Thus the Mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.

That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque, thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, " The Turban Cowboy ", and the other a topless bar called " You Mecca Me Hot ."
Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbeque pork restaurant, called " Iraq o' Ribs. "
Across the street there could be a lingerie store called " Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret ", with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods.

Next door to the lingerie shop there would be room for an adult sex toy shop, " Koranal Knowledge ", its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side a liquor store called " Morehammered. "
All of this would encourage the Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us, so the mosque problem would be solved. If you agree with promoting tolerance, and you think this is a good plan, please pass it on...

That's all folks! Snow still coming down, which is excellent because we need the moisture here.
