Alison Can't Even Say Conservative.

I watched the election debate at a Wildrose campaigne office with about 70 other Wild ones. It is nice to meet people who have the same political leanings as you do. Most Conservatives shy away from even talking politics because the Liberals and NDP are very vocal and very intolerant of Conservatives. They think they are the shining light that will save all people from the oppression of tyrants (Conservatives and capitalism). They do not see that they are the ones who are intolerant.

The debate was interesting. The Liberal and NDP leaders scored some direct hits on Alison REDford that let Danielle off the hook of having to attack her on her outrageous spending promises.

The most interesting exchange of the evening was the failure of REDford to even pretend she was Conservative. She stuttered over one simple word...Conservative. How telling is that?

No wonder the Alberta PC's are trying to trick people by using the federal Conservative logo, they are too ashamed of their supposed leader to proclaim themselves actual Conservatives, just like their leader.

Winner, everyone except Alison. Did you drink every time she called herself the Premier? If you did you will only be reading this tomorrow, because she said it so many times, as if we were as impressed with it as she was, that it got sickening.

Did the debate firm up votes? Yes. I suspect the undecided votes are going to go to any party except the PC's.

Danielle Dollars....Smart Move?

Is this a Conservative plan? You bet it is, and after thinking about it, why shouldn't every Albertan enjoy our prosperity?

Here is why I agree with the "Danielle Dollars":

1. Most Albertans don't work up in Fort Mac, but when our economy is booming, so are our house, food and clothing prices. If you are a worker in Edmonton, earning minimum wage, you see no benefits from the boom. The "Danielle Dollars" will be a direct benefit to you and your family, in compensation for having to pay higher food and shelter prices.

2. Albertans will only get those "Danielle Dollars" if there is a surplus. This creates the incentive for governments to actually watch their spending because Albertans are going to hold them to account.

3. Some people are saying lowering taxes would be better. Alberta already has a 10% flat tax rate, meaning that it is a fair tax system. Those 1% of the rich have no way to shelter their income from taxes, so if they make 1,000,000 a year, they pay 100,000 in taxes, no loopholes allowed. The "Danielle Dollars" will make the most impact on the poorest in Alberta, who don't pay any taxes.

4. Albertan's suffered through 20% reductions to get rid of our debt, and we did it gladly so we could leave our children with a brighter future. We do not want to see all that hard work and sacrifice go to waste and it is now time for Albertans to start reaping some of the benefits of the pain that we endured. When we have surpluses again, why shouldn't debt free Albertans get some of that money so we can spend it more efficiently than any government ever could?

5. The "Danielle Dollars" would only be 20% of any surplus, with a further 30% put away in the Heritage fund. The PC's have taken money out of the fund to finance their high spending ways, and have left nothing for our future, this has to stop.

6. The big minus I can see in this, is that you are giving out money during a boom, and if everyone spends those "Danielle Dollars", inflation could be a problem. Assuming that people are working during a boom, they would be more likely to save then spend, so the inflationary worries might not arise.

7. Some fear mongers are already saying it would be taxpayers paying for this, but it is royalties, not tax money. It would be better than what the PC's were trying to get support for....a Provincial Sales TAX! NO.WAY. NEVER. Remember that one before you vote PC.

Giving back to Albertans and allowing them to decide how to spend those "Danielle Dollars" instead of the money going into the government coffers, is never a bad thing. It assumes that Albertans are not going to spend it all on beer and popcorn.....okay maybe a 12 pack of beer and a Jiffy Pop popcorn (can be found at the IGA) could be in order, because it would be our money, not the governments. What's not to like?

Maybe we could all pool the "Danielle Dollars" and send them to Alison so she can build those magical 150 medi centers that have suddenly popped up on her agenda. Yet the media calls out the Wildrose for supposed vote buying? Hey media, look into those magically appearing medi centers won't you? They mushroomed from 3 test centers into 150 across Alberta, without testing the effectiveness, or telling us how they would be staffed.

Interesting how all the lefty media are championing RED Ali, it should give all Albertan voters a clue as to how RED she really is.

Reformers Rising Again In Alberta?

It's interesting to see the Reformers rising up again...I missed them. It is Reform that got PM Harper into office, and it looks like it is going to be Reformers that get Wildrose into office as well.

Liberals/NDP mock Reformers and Albertans as rednecked, neanderthals. Good, I like being different from lefties. They underestimate us all the time. They call us heartless, dumb, religious (is that supposed to be an insult?), gun loving, stupid....the list is endless. Then they show their true tolerant selves.

The tweet: “If @ElectDanielle likes young and growing families so much, why doesn’t she have children of her own?  #wrp family pack = insincere” – Amanda Wilkie, "Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of the Office of the Premier (Southern Alberta Office)". March 30, 2012 (via Twitter).
As you can see from the posting, from Danielle Smith's response, it is the Wildrose that are tolerant. These are the supposed "Alberta Progressive Conservatives". There is nothing "Conservative" about them anymore.

The first ones to understand this were the Reformers. Never doubt that Albertans can smell a rat in a field full of wheat, this province is rat free, or it will be after this election when we exterminate them. Do not assume that the "senior" Conservatives will not change their votes. They are the most astute voters, they are least likely to be fooled by fakes, and they will not tolerate phonies.

Another example of the tolerant left is right here:

That is what happened to one of my Wildrose signs last night. Probably kids? Then why was only a Wildrose sign damaged? This next picture shows you my surviving sign, and that the PC signs next door were perfectly fine, no damage.

What did happen is the opposite of what the sign bandits wanted. First of all, it made me more likely to vote Wildrose, as well as my son, who was leaning Liberal. Second, my neighbours noticed the damage, and one will now be voting Wildrose for sure, and the one with the PC sign is now thinking of voting Wildrose as well. So, all in all, one torn up Wildrose sign, might end up gaining them 3 or more votes.  In this election, every vote counts. Go Wildrose!

Alison Redford Thinks We Are Hicks!

She is a well traveled, UN lawyer, who thinks we should respect her because she has traveled the world and we red necked hicks haven't.

What I do think is that it’s a really big world out there. There are a lot of players. There’s no doubt that we have known for some time that we were going to start to see the agenda around energy issues and environmental issues change. And my view has always been that it’s possible to be effective in that arena if you can anticipate what’s coming next. I’ll tell you that I believe that in the last while Alberta hasn’t had leadership that understood Alberta’s role internationally. We needed to understand that decision-makers in Europe could impact us, not just decision-makers in Ottawa. It’s not just us in control of our own destiny. We are part of a global economy, and a global energy sphere, and we need to understand the impact that the political dialogue could have on our province.
She is a UN lawyer who appears to want a global government. She is as arrogant as Mulcair. She is dangerous to Alberta's way of life.

Ezra on the new NDP leader. Mulcair is a citizen of France....what is it with Quebec citizens Dion and Mulcair, can't they only be loyal to Canada?

Mulcair is no friend of Alberta. Interestingly enough, it appears that Alison Redford is also no friend of Alberta either. It seems that she applied to become a citizen of South Africa, and was denied. I wonder why they denied our UN, lefty Premier citizenship?

All of this doesn't surprise me coming from Redford.  She spent some time working at the UN so she is of that kind of mindset.

The Secretary General of the United Nations Boutros Boutros-Ghali appointed and assigned Alison Redford to a post in the United Nations as a special legal adviser.[citation needed]
Throughout the 1990s, Redford worked as a technical adviser on constitutional and legal reform issues in various parts of Africa for the European Union, the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Canadian Government and the Government of Australia. Her work in Africa focused on human rights litigation, developing education programs and policy reform with respect to gender issues.[3]
Danielle Smith was right in calling her out on it.    These are the kind of things we need to be alerted about.
Smith says she doesn’t want to change the character of Alberta.
“I don’t think we need to be fixed,” says Smith, calling this election “a fight for the heart and soul of the province.”
She thinks Redford “doesn’t like Alberta all that much. She doesn’t like who we are. Do we need to be changed? Do we need Ms. Redford to change us? I think the answer is a resounding no.”
In the comments at Chasing Apple Pie, we find this little gem:
In an interview with Macleans magazine in December of 2011 Alison Redford openly admitted that she sought and was denied citizenship in South Africa. Redford made her way back to Alberta and not by choice. Isn't it nice to have a person seeking the position of Premier for the province of Alberta would rather be some place else? Their denial is our loss.
How committed is Red Ali to Alberta? Is she just an opportunist? I know that she is out of step with what I want for Alberta. I emailed my MLA about getting rid of the Human Rights Commissions, but fat chance of that happening under Ali's watch, she is a UN supporter, and loves human rights commissions.

On a positive note, Danielle Smith's Wildrose party has released the first part of their family plan.

They are going to give tax credits to families with children under the age of 18. It's an interesting proposal, reminds me of the Conservative federal tax credit that the Liberals labeled the "beer and popcorn" credit. The Wildrose is speaking to families, while the PC's are still trying to make up for their HUGE blunder with the "nomeet" committee. Too little too late.

They are also pandering to the greenies with their money for the oil sands clean up. Hint: The oil companies are already reclaiming the land, and if lawyer Alison cared to check, it's a requirement of development, and already factored into the oil companies budgets. No need to throw around taxpayers money to gain a few green votes.

The PC's are demoralized. (Notice how Alison never uses the word Conservative?) I got a door knocker for my PC MLA tonight. When I told him I was switching my vote, he looked down at his list and just left. As I was closing the door, I looked across the street, and I saw the Wildrose candidate, he was running from door to door. I snagged two signs off of him, and away he went. The difference in the energy was very noticeable. Alberta Spring....how the lefties will hate it!

"The Bus" That Won An Election?

It appears the Wildrose bus has made it to the big times! Ellen Degeneres posted it on her facebook page, and someone there commented that Jay Leno had it on his show too. Whether it was for fun or not doesn't matter, Wildrose couldn't have paid to get this kind of advertising. It's "The Bus" that won an election!!

Last polls out had Wildrose trailing the PC's by 5 points, now, after "The Bus", they are tied at 38% each.

So, "The Bus" didn't hurt Wildrose at all, it actually caused people to sit up and take notice of the election. All good. Danielle handled the issue with humour and that probably won a number of people over to Wildrose.

I'm excited that we are now in the election. I noticed the candidate in our area already has signs going up. I wonder how badly the PC's are being hurt by the number of former PC'ers who would have worked on their campaigns, who are now working for the Wildrose?

If you don't know where to find out about the Wildrose platform, it's right here, for your reading pleasure. Go positive, Go Wildrose!

Call The Election Alison!

Alberta is ready to rock the province! The PC's are running scared. Many current PC's are not going to run again. Alison was forced to appoint a candidate because of an MLA resigning (happened to be the chair of the do nothing committee), so she appointed a Mayor who is allegedly under investigation for illegal donations to the PC party. Nice!

I can tell they are worried because I have been "randomly" polled 4 times now to see who I am going to vote for, and the only party who would happen to have my number are the PC's. The last question the poll asked was about the do nothing committee and whether the PC's returning only 6 months of their ill gotten gains was enough. Of course I said NO, NO, NO! They also asked if my impression of Alison was favourable or not. NOT! Was my impression of Danielle favourable or not. FAVOURABLE! If many old PC supporters like me are giving them the same response, and by all the polling I think they are, the PC's are in trouble. Big time.

When Alison the Red finally calls the election, hopefully Monday, get your Wildrose sign, and volunteer for their candidate in your riding. They are a young party, and they need all the help they can get.

Finally, for your entertainment, Ezra discusses Obama and his reversal on part of the Keystone Pipeline. Enjoy!

Boot the long in the tooth PC's, Alberta is a young, dynamic province, we need a young and dynamic leader, Danielle Smith!

PC's Feeling Heat From Wildrose!

Well, well, well, looks like Albertans are waking up, big time. Red Ali can feel the Wildrose breathing down her neck, and I bet she doesn't like it one little bit. GOOD!

Edmonton needs a kick start, but the voters here have always been more red than blue, so the best we can hope is that the rest of the province carries the day. Danielle is more favourable than Redford, and that is before an election has even been called. That means that most Albertans are not yet paying attention, so the Wildrose numbers can only go up!

The one big advantage Redford has is with women, so some of us real Conservative women need to get out there and door knock with the Wildrose candidates, so that women can see that we support Danielle and the Wildrose party. Let's show those liberal feminists that real women support Danielle.

Wildrose surges at expense of ruling Conservatives

Voter support for Alberta’s governing Tories has dramatically dwindled, according to a new electoral poll.
The QMI/Sun News-Abacus Data poll conducted last week shows the PC lead over their right wing Wildrose Party foes narrowing considerably, to a count of 34% against 29%.
One survey from late February showed the lead of a Tory party under the leadership of Premier Alison Redford of 14.6 percentage points.
As Albertans edge closer to an expected spring election, voters are taking note of issues like health care and a Tory party seen increasingly as long in the tooth, said Abacus Data CEO David Coletto.
“The honeymoon is over for Alison Redford ... these little things keep eating away at her character and credibility,” he said.
“If the alliance can take advantage of them, they can be successful.”
The poll at the end of the article is not good news for the PC's.

Probably someone is skewing the results.....call in Elections Canada! What is apparent is that a tide is coming to Alberta. We are always reluctant to change course, but when we do, it is fast and decisive.

1917 it's all Liberals, then, bang next it's all United Farmers. Then 1935 bang it's Social Credit, then 1971 bang it's Conservatives. Right now the Conservatives need to be worried, because in the 2012 election, I predict, it's going to be bang Wild Rose!

Spring is in the air here in Alberta, you can smell it, but you can also smell change. It's coming, and none too soon. We are going to do some spring cleaning, we are going to sweep out those dust bunnies from our closets, open up our windows and let the stale winter air out of our lives. We want a fresh, new beginning for a young vibrant province. We want Wild Rose!

Alison Redford Gets Egg On Her Face!

Poor Red Ali. The first thing she did, when "elected", was go to Ontario and Quebec, both ruled by Liberals like herself, and try to sign them up to a National Energy Program. It looked like she had them onside, and when she called for help from Dalton, he dropped her off the cliff, and didn't even pretend to throw her a rope to save herself. Even Steady Eddie got more respect then she did from Dalton.

TORONTO — Ontario would prefer a lower dollar over a growing oil and gas industry in Western Canada, Premier Dalton McGuinty said Monday as he rejected calls from his Alberta counterpart to do more to publicly defend the oilsands.
"The only reason the dollar is high, it's a petro dollar, driven by the global demand for oil and gas to be sourced in Western Canada," McGuinty told reporters.
"If I had my preferences as to whether we have a rapidly growing oil and gas sector in the West or a lower dollar benefiting Ontario, I stand with the lower dollar."
Dalton the Dolt should take Econ101. The strong Canadian dollar is because of the weakened US dollar, not the oil sands. The oil sands were in operation while the Canadian dollar was at 65 cents, why is it a problem now?

Maybe Dalton should look at his own "green" policies to see how they are increasing the cost of manufacturing before blaming Alberta. How are those heating bills Ontario? He should also understand than most of the manufacturing that Alberta has been needing is being supplied by Ontario manufacturers. Unfortunately, he only thinks that manufacturing means cars. He is Ontario's problem. Alison is ours..... for now.

A study by the Canadian Energy Research Institute says Ontario enjoys the lion's share of oilsands benefits outside Alberta.
The Calgary-based think-tank says the oilsands will create $63 billion in economic spinoffs in Ontario and create 65,000 jobs over 25 years. It also points to smaller economic benefits and thousands of jobs that will be created in British Columbia and Quebec.
More than 350 Ontario-based companies are suppliers to the oilsands, according to the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.
What would happen to Ontario is we started ordering all those trucks, pipes and even ball bearings from the US instead? After all, Ontario buys 0% of our oil. They get it from Iran and Saudi Arabia, those wonderful countries that love freedom, especially for women!

Ontario is in big trouble, they need to rebuild their manufacturing industries, and when Alberta comes knocking, they turn their backs, and pretend that they are better than us, because they are ordering wind turbines from Korea. Why didn't "green" Dalton get them built in Ontario? How did Alberta, who is now helping to support Ontario with equalization payments, become the bad guy? Oops forgot we are Conservatives......The PC's are Conservative in name only and Alison is a blood relative to Liberal Dalton.

Alison got a huge shock today. She thought her eastern tour of Liberal leaders had given her the big advantage against Danielle. She now looks like the country bumpkin that went to the big city, got in trouble, and found out that nobody would help her.

Both Alison and Dalton are just as deluded if they think that they can continue to spend without any political consequences.

Red Ali will come home to lick the wounds that she inflicted on herself, and she better not expect any sympathy. She was the one who said, just after she got elected that she didn't want to "interfere" with the US process on the Keystone pipeline. Now she wants Ontario and Quebec to help? Why? They have nothing to do with Alberta and what we do with our resources. We do not need their "help". Alberta can survive without the east, they can not survive without us.

Alison Redford, is not the person we need to lead us into the future, she is a relic from the past, we need fresh blood, fresh energy, fresh approaches to old problems. We need a big broom to sweep out the old, dusty, arrogant, and incompetent PC's. It's time for Alberta to wake up, to smell the winds of change, and grab that ribbon as it sails towards a new and actually Conservative future.

Get excited about voting for Wildrose! Feel the positive change that you can bring to our dynamic province, and most importantly understand that a true Conservative like Danielle, would never be caught begging a Liberal Premier like Alison just did with Dalton, only to get slapped down.

Talk about getting egg on your face!

All Of Canada Needs To Suck It Up!

That includes our seniors, who built this country for their kids, and now, seem to have forgotten why they worked so hard. Here is what they get:

CPP

First up we have CPP, which everyone pays into and what you get is proportionate to what you paid in. The more you worked, and the higher your salary, the more you get. This is totally funded by you.

On average, when you retire at age 65, you will get $512.64, no matter what your income might be. This fund is in good shape because the government can't get their hands on it.

OAS

This is paid to anyone 65 or older, depending on income. This is totally funded by taxpayers, you do not have to pay a nickle into it to get these benefits.

GIS

As shown above, the guaranteed income supplement is also available to seniors, curtsey of the taxpayers, but is subject to income cutoffs.

It looks like one person, without any income, pulls in over $1500 a month from all the social security benefits. Two seniors could pull in around $3,000 a month without a pension! When the average Canadian looks at their pay cheque after tax, I bet they are not making much more than seniors are getting.

Try this little exercise to see how much in OAS and GIS you can expect to get depending on your income level, at around $25,000 excluding CPP and OAS your GIS runs out, but OAS is still around $500 a month.

Is this "sustainable" (a favourite lefty term)? Right now we have 4 workers for every retiree, in the next 20 years that will become a 2:1 ratio. We have a government that wants to prepare our children for the future by acting now, and the opposition and lefties are screaming bloody murder.

We can act now, or our children can be put in the same position that Greek children are in today. In Alberta, we took 20% decreases in government, education, health care, and other sectors to get rid of our debt. It was hard, but we did it.... for the next generation. If we vote the Alberta PC's in again, all that hard work will go down the tubes.

It's time for all of Canada to suck it up, and get it done, for our kids.  Maybe the have not provinces should look at themselves, and their spending, and try to get off the gravy train, same goes for our First Nations. Maybe the seniors or soon to be retired, also need to save for their retirement and stop expecting our children to pay for them in their old age. Sure you worked hard all your lives, but that doesn't mean that you can now suck off the teat of the taxpayers. It's time to stop with the "I earned/deserve it" attitude, and get to the "my kids deserve better" attitude.

Wake Up Alberta, Time To Kick The Bums Out.

Even the National Post thinks the budget was a NDP budget. It was a blatant re-election budget that doesn't pass the Conservative sniff test. There is nothing Conservative about this budget.

Many people see it as blatant pandering to the left. People are talking about it, and that is not a good thing for the PC's, because frankly, everyone I have talked to are fed up with this government. So where will the votes go?

If the votes go to the Liberals, NDP or PC's, Wildrose wins the seat. If the votes swing towards Wildrose, they take the seat. If it is split between Wildrose and the PC's it's any ones guess. When none other than the far left site Rabble (I will not provide a link to that disgusting site) is endorsing Red Ali, you know the game is on.

Liberals feel at home in Redford caucus," is today's commentary on the return of Lethbridge-East MLA Bridget Pastoor to the party she started out with. "Federal NDP endorses Redford," is yesterday's posting, showing an image of a Tweet by Edmonton-Strathcona MP Linda Duncan suggesting Redford is adopting NDP polices.
Another post yesterday, in the style of a Western Wanted poster, accuses the premier of "total absence on the Keystone XL Pipeline … when her province needed her most." Now, there are those of us who think the pipeline is not a particularly good idea, but one can hardly deny the premier's frenetic efforts to sell it to the U.S. Administration of President Barack Obama, even if she was talking to the wrong politicians south of the Medicine Line.
In other words, RedfordFiles.ca is not only mean, it's lame!
Tisk, tisk, Redford files is mean, oh dear, call the HRC nannies they should be able to fix that. You want lame, the whole article is a prefect example of how dopey the far left really are.

The question for Red Ali, are there enough Liberal and NDP willing to switch to the PC's to support her in the next election? We have already seen in the federal election that Liberals and NDP have no integrity and will switch sides at will, will they do it this election? They are the ones who got Red Ali elected in the first place, so why wouldn't they infiltrate the PC's to gain power?

Alberta is ready for a change, and if all the Conservative votes move to the Wildrose, we can change the game that Liberals/NDP are playing with our province. We can take back our province, and squash our opposition because there are a heck of a lot more Conservatives in Alberta than there are Liberal/NDP.

Your Alberta PC's, Out Of Touch!

Here is an email exchange with my MLA, Minister Fred Horne's assistant, as he is too busy for me. The scary thing is that he is now in charge of our health care system!

Good Morning XXXXX, (This was sent January 26th, 2012)

I just wanted to update you on the status of the response we’re preparing for you. In order to provide you with a thorough response, we’ve consulted with a few other Ministries and are currently in the process of compiling our information into one complete response for you.

Should you have any other questions, feel free to email me.

Thank you,

So, not responding to my emails still. Note the date you replied December 7th, 2011. No response since then.

Here is another issue that our newly minted Minister of Health can respond to, because it is directly related to Health. Why would Redford not support the federal money that Albertans will now get? On a per capita basis, we have finally got some real money from the feds. Why would she join the other provinces in condemning the federal proposal to INCREASE federal money to health care by 6% until 2017? Explain that to me as a voter? Thanks XXXXX. (by the way, I still want the HRC’s reined in, it’s my number 1 priority, no matter what the polls tell you.) Thanks XXXXX

Subject: Not Responding to my e-mails.

As a constituent, the least you could do is respond to my e-mails to you. If you have my email address to send your propaganda to, you have the ability to respond to my concerns, as a person who votes Conservative. Bill 26 is a game changer for the PC’s. Red Alison is not making a good first impression with Conservatives, but why blame her for being elected by unions.

I do not care what Red Alison is up to, I have asked you time and time again to get rid of the Human Rights Commissions power to persecute someone for “hurt feelings”. If your government doesn’t move on this issue, you will not get my vote, and I will actively campaign for the Wildrose candidate. It’s easy, you have a majority, pass a law against “hurt feelings”. If this government is so tone deaf that they don’t get this simple request, they are failing to support the wishes of Albertans, and therefore do not deserve Albertans votes.
Previous emails that I sent were lost when I transferred from my Mac to a PC. I don't blame poor Carlie, she is not responsible for her minister's incompetence. I have met the guy, he is a marshmallow, just what Red Ali wants.

I will now be actively campaigning for the Wildrose. The Alberta PC's are out of touch with Albertans. They are also busy hiding from voters, not a good sign.

Even time I send an email to PM Harper, I get a response back the next day. Why can't my MLA do the same? He is closer to my home issues, so he should be better at contacting me, but he isn't. I picture him huddled behind his desk, hoping no one will know he is there.

Alberta Needs To Wake Up!

I know we are going to have an election in the spring, but we need to get moving now if we want change. Most Albertans are not thinking election right now, let's start getting our message out so they are well informed by election day.

I have already decided that I will not be voting PC, even though I have for my whole voting life. They are stuffy, old, and arrogant. Their new leader, Ali the Red, is taking us so far to the left, without a mandate from us, that it makes me really uneasy. She is taking this province in the wrong direction and we can do nothing about it until the election.

The one thing we can do, as Alberta Conservative bloggers, is to keep all her miscues and bad policies in the lime light. We can also highlight and promote the Wildrose Party. Do not assume that the Conservatives who read our blogs are informed about how bad the PC's have become. Tell your readers and your family and your office mates.

Let's start the campaign now, so by the time an election comes, we are on the ground running.

For my first wake up call, I want you to watch this video of Danielle Smith at a leader's dinner (H/T to Wilson). She is articulate, likable, and wants to take Alberta into the future.

I will be promoting the Wildrose Party from now on, and no, I do not have a membership in the party. I have never gone to any of their functions, and I have never gone to any PC functions either. This is one Albertan's opinion, but I hope that Alberta wakes up from it's 40 year sleep!

A Call To Arms To All Alberta Conservative Bloggers.

Our new unelected Premier is moving faster than Superman in pushing through legislation that she tells us the majority of Albertans want. I don't know what majority she is talking to, but it isn't your everyday Albertan.

Alberta Aardvark clearly shows, how in her own words, she is a few brain cells shy of being a NDP leader.

My point is that we can whine about how bad she is, or we can start posting positive statements about Wildrose. Being in opposition makes it harder for Wildrose to get any media attention, we need to get the power of blogs reved up to start the engine that will see the Alberta PC's replaced by the Wildrose.

One comment on an article I read today asked where Danielle stood on the issue of Chiquita bananas. She had already condemned them on twitter and has issued a statement, but the media didn't cover it.

Statement by Danielle Smith on Chiquita oil sands boycott

CALGARY, AB (December 17, 2011): Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith today issued the following statement on the boycott of Chiquita, which agreed to stop using fuel from Alberta’s oil sands to ship its product:
“It’s disappointing to see another company make this decision based on misinformation and rhetoric instead of fact.
“Alberta’s oil sands are the most safe, secure and reliable source of energy in the world, and tremendous progress has been made in reducing emissions and environmental impacts.
“Personally, I will boycott Chiquita products until they reverse their ill-informed decision to avoid fuel from Alberta’s oil sands. I am proud of Alberta’s record of responsible resource development.
“I’m also calling on Premier Alison Redford to join me in denouncing Chiquita’s decision and commit to an aggressive strategy to counter special interests that seek to cripple and shut down Alberta’s oil sands.”

Meanwhile, Red Ali is nowhere to be found on this issue. She is too busy sucking up to the teachers union to hear anything Albertans are concerned about. She is a tax and spend Liberal down to her shiny red shoes. I can not...I will not EVER support her.

So, my one commitment as a life long Albertan is to work as hard as I can to make sure Albertans hear about Wildrose as an alternative to the PC's. The PC's are in fact progressive/ Liberal, but there is nothing Conservative about them anymore, especially with Red Ali as their leader.

If you know nothing about Wildrose, here is a good place to start;

40 Reasons to Vote Wildrose. Get involved, get informed. The PC's have been in power for 40 years, it really is time for a change Alberta. You can smell it in the air, a brisk, fresh breeze to clear out all the old and smelly cobwebs. It's time Alberta, our motto is "strong and free" let's make sure we live up to that motto. We will not be "strong and free" with a Mommy Dalton ruling Alberta.
