While Obama Is Redesigning America.......

The lefties still can't leave Palin alone. What are they scared of? That Obama is a failure?

All the complaints have been brought by Alaskans, except for one filed by Washington-based Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics alleging the $150,000-plus designer wardrobe the Republican Party bought to outfit Palin in her national quest violated the Federal Election Campaign Act. That complaint was dismissed.

One complaint, in which the Alaska Personnel Board found no wrongdoing, concluded with the governor agreeing to pay the state $10,000 for trips taken by her children — money that is due Tuesday.

Another complaint, filed by Democratic blogger Linda Kellen Biegel, said Palin wore a jacket that promoted the sponsor of her husband's snowmobile racing team. That complaint, dismissed June 2, prompted Palin's statement about "frivolous" ethics charges.

At least 19 ethics complaints have been filed against Palin, most of them after she was named the running mate for Republican presidential candidate John McCain. Most of those have been dismissed, and Palin's office usually sends a news release with the announcement.

The multiple ethics complaints include an investigation by state lawmakers over Palin's firing of her public safety commissioner.

John Coale, a Washington lawyer who helped set up the fund, called the probable cause finding "crazy," adding that if upheld, it would mean that no governor could ever defend themselves against frivolous ethics complaints.

"If this complaint is true, there's no way to defend yourself" as governor, Coale said. "Anybody can keep filing ethics complaints and drive someone out of office even if you're a nut."

Coale said that unlike other states, Alaska's governor has no legal counsel's office to defend the governor from allegations brought against the governor in her official capacity.

Funny how all the good stuff is at the END of the articles. Meanwhile they totally ignore what Obama is doing to America. Thank goodness some cartoonists are right-headed!

Meanwhile Obama is pushing through his health care changes.

How are those apologies to every enemy America has working out Obama?

But, let's attack Palin, she's obviously giving the lefties a wedgie. I think that the MSM is making a big mistake because by keeping Palin in the news, people are starting to pay attention to her. All those attacks are starting to tick the average American off.

"We Americans got so tired of being thought of as stupid by the rest of the world that we went to the polls last November and removed all doubt."
That last quote is a JOKE, for my lefty friends.

Poor, poor picked on SaWah. Can't handle the truth. Top ten lies! Yes, there's more!

Palin lied when she said the dismissal of her public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, had nothing to do with his refusal to fire state trooper Mike Wooten; in fact, the Branchflower Report concluded that she repeatedly abused her power when dealing with both men.

Palin lied when she repeatedly claimed to have said, "Thanks, but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere; in fact, she openly campaigned for the federal project when running for governor.

Palin lied when she denied that Wasilla's police chief and librarian had been fired; in fact, both were given letters of termination the previous day.

Palin lied when she wrote in the NYT that a comprehensive review by Alaska wildlife officials showed that polar bears were not endangered; in fact, email correspondence between those scientists showed the opposite.

Palin lied when she claimed in her convention speech that an oil gas pipeline "began" under her guidance; in fact, the pipeline was years from breaking ground, if at all.

Palin lied when she told Charlie Gibson that she does not pass judgment on gay people; in fact, she opposes all rights between gay spouses and belongs to a church that promotes conversion therapy.

Palin lied when she denied having said that humans do not contribute to climate change; in fact, she had previously proclaimed that human activity was not to blame.

Palin lied when she claimed that Alaska produces 20 percent of the country's domestic energy supply; in fact, the actual figures, based on any interpretation of her words, are much, much lower.

Palin lied when she told voters she improvised her convention speech when her teleprompter stopped working properly; in fact, all reports showed that the machine had functioned perfectly and that her speech had closely followed the script.

Palin lied when she recalled asking her daughters to vote on whether she should accept the VP offer; in fact, her story contradicts details given by her husband, the McCain campaign, and even Palin herself. (She later added another version.)

Queen of the Iquitarod. She never finishes anything she starts.

Oh, and those poor rich people having to kick in to pay for health care:

"Between 1979 and 2006, the inflation-adjusted after-tax income of the richest 1 percent of households increased by 256 percent, compared to 21 percent for families in the middle income quintile."

Your argument may need a little work...

"Meanwhile they totally ignore what Obama is doing to America."

Really? Maybe go back and look at some of the other headlines in the NY Daily's "Politics" section.

Or could it be Huntsy who is selectively RE reporting the news?

Why not tell the whole story? What's Huntsy afraid of? That Palin is a failure who can't spell frivolous?

Alberta Girl said...

SQ - I assume you have PROOF of those "lies"

Alberta Girl said...

Mysty - I think Hunter's point is questioning why such a focus on Palin - she lost, she quit and yet they keep on picking on her. Why?

You only do that when you want to break someone that you are afraid of.

And they do it while Obama fiddles and Rome burns.

I guess you missed
this ABG. The same rag you claim is picking on her, Sawah's number seven on a list of top eighteen best suited to lead the Repubs to future glory. In the poll on the side 47% chose Palin as the future face of the GOP.

But but but she lost she quit she's beyond scrutiny pipes ABduhG.

The left attack Palin because they can't handle the truth which is what Palin sells, hard facts that blast socialist ideals right out the door.
Palin also represents honest government which the left fear more than ever as it would put most their precious activists on the unemployed list and off the government hand-out list.
The Left live in fear of ever having to fend for themselves, they are socialists afraid to call themselves socialists because deep down they know they are wrong.

Wow, even The Star printed an article which is not flattering to Obama.

http://www.thestar.com/news/world/article/669800

What makes me laugh is that some of the same left-wingers who were drooling all over Obama are the same people who have lost their jobs, here in Canada, because of Obama's protectionist stance. Hey, you love the guy - now you have lots of time to love the guy.

Obama is packaged very well but there's not much inside, unfortunately.

Truly a fine post, hunter!

I used to enjoy those Subaru ads where the guy on screen is saying one thing, while the subtitles say the opposite.

This post is very similar. The text is beefing that anyone who criticizes and mocks the Quitbull must be scared of her, while the visuals are all about mocking Obama.

Next I hope to see a post showing pictures of mean old strikers in Toronto, with text commenting how everyone should "go Galt". Bonus if there is a condescending explanation of how going Galt does not amount to going on strike.

Thank you.

Why does a separatist care about what Sarah Palin does?

Shouldn't you be busy altering English signs and denigrating minorities?

Shouldn't you be questioning your heroes like that Jew hating Landry?

So many more juicier targets in la belle province...Quebec, where even FLQ terrorists can become judges and politicians.

I first encountered Palin about a year before the US election. After reading several articles she's written and interviews done by her, I found her well informed, articulate, intelligent, with her feet firmly planted on the ground, unswayed by the winds of political trendiness. So when I heard she was picked as running mate, my first reaction was "fantastic!"

I think the Republicans blew it with her. Instead of building on her strengths, they tried to turn her into the token female. I got the impression they just wanted her to look good and mouth platitudes. I don't think they expected someone with an actual backbone.

The toxicity of the attacks on Palin, however, shocked me. I've never seen anything this extreme and personal before. How sad and disgusting that it continues.

Watching the attacks on her is an interesting exercise in human psychology. Palin's very existance seems to be a threat and affront to a lot of people. The shakier their own integrity, the more of a threat she is to them. It seems to me that they must attack her (and her family), because she somehow threatens the stereotypes they've created in their minds.

The attacks are, I suspect, projections of their own self-loathing. Hating her is so much easier than hating themselves. Why else would she be such a threat to them?

Wasn't Andrew Sullivan the one who was pushing the conspiracy theory that baby Trig wasn't Sarah's baby but her Grandson? What a whackjob. (And not surprising that one of the resident whackjobs would quote said whackjob)

The MSM spent untold millions on demonizing Palin and Barry O got a free pass.

Barry's fall from grace will be sweet and I can't wait until I'll be grinding the blind lefties noses into his failure with a triumphant 'I told you so'.

And the payback the looney left will experience will be a Mofo of Titanic proportions. Unfortunately when this happens the US will already be in ruins and Barry will be living in recluse in a tropical locale still on the payroll of George Soros and Co.

Kunoichi - what bothered me were the personal and gender-based attacks on Palin.

The questioning of Trig's birth mother was so low. Given that many people saw Palin while she was pregnant and, at the same time, saw Bristol without a baby bump and given that Trig was born with Down's Syndrome, I think the odds are pretty high that he was delivered of middle-aged Palin. I think it blew a lot of doubts out of the water when it turned out that Bristol was pregnant while she allegedly gave birth to Trig.

As for bringing Bristol into the media picture - that is criminal, in my mind. Children of politicians are off-limits. I remember years back when Frank Magazine ran a "contest" to deflower Caroline Mulroney and the reaction was huge - you'll notice that Frank Magazine practically went under after that little episode. Even people who loathed Mulroney sided with him when he castigated Frank Magazine for that insult.

Sarah Palin is a "religious" woman and was criticized for that - I thought we had freedom of religion in North America but I guess I was wrong.

Sarah Palin was criticized for NOT aborting her son Trig - I thought feminism was about giving women the choice to have or not have a baby. I guess the only choice a woman is supposed to exercise is to abort. Silly me, I thought North America was a free society.

Sarah Palin was criticized for allegedly spending money on clothing - not out of taxpayer dollars, mind you, but out of the Republican coffers. I seem to recall that this story was also blown out of the water. However, the salient point is - nobody calculated how much Obama spent on this clothing. The press does, however, make a huge deal out of Michelle Obama's clothing - although why her clothing should be important is beyond me.

How Sarah Palin dresses is irrelevant to any intelligent person. But, had she worn the same outfit twice or thrice, the press would have been all over her.

Let's face it - the media did a hatchet job on her. Criticize her for her politics but leave the personal out of it.

And so they should be. But Sarah schlepped all her kids to those stupid political events, exploiting them to the nth degree. There is no way she should have taken the baby campaigning. She even had her kids carrying him around like a sack of potatoes. Disgusting.

Sarah's clothes were paid for by the Republican Party. Obama's were not paid for by the Democrats. When you donate money to a politcal party it is tax deductible, so therefore the taxpayer is picking up part of the tab. There was nothing blown out of the water. Unless it was a moose shot from a helicopter by SaWah.

I am amused by the way so many of you are writing posts claiming things like this:

"Palin also represents honest government which the left fear more than ever as it would put most their precious activists on the unemployed list and off the government hand-out list."

without any attempt at all to refute SQ's points.

Maybe in some worlds plugging your ears and saying "na na na" is persuasive, but not with intelligent and articulate people.

As for this:

"Sarah Palin was criticized for NOT aborting her son Trig..."

Who did that, because this is the first I ever heard of it. Perhaps you could post a link?

"I think it blew a lot of doubts out of the water when it turned out that Bristol was pregnant while she allegedly gave birth to Trig."

Yeah, facts have a way of dispelling myths. Funny that.

"Children of politicians are off-limits. "

I agree!

It always blows my mind when people say things like "well, she's the one exploiting them by bringing them along ..." to wherever. Yet when the Obamas go out in public with their kids, no one uses that as fodder for attacks on them and their kids. Talk about a double standard!

Kunoichi said...

"There is no way she should have taken the baby campaigning."

Yeah, because leaving your baby in the care of someone else 24/7 while on the campaign trail is just SOOOO much better.

"She even had her kids carrying him around like a sack of potatoes. Disgusting."

Describing her son as a sack of potatoes is what's disgusting. Believe it or not, loving older siblings actually do help care for their younger siblings. I think, perhaps, people just aren't used to seeing a larger family, where there are children old enough to help out like that.

Kunoichi said...

"Who did that, because this is the first I ever heard of it."

I've encountered it in spoken comments, many times, but not in written articles I could link to. At least not that I can think of off-hand.

I was really disturbed by the guy that made a $25,000 offer to Bristol to abort her baby and move out of her home.

Oh, and don't forget the (white) "comedienne" said that Palin should be gang raped by blacks.

Yesterday I saw an online video of twin moose playing in a sprinkler under the watchful eye of their mother and there in the comments, out of the blue, someone wrote that Sarah Palin should be shot from a helicopter.

Because promoting rape, murder and offering to pay a young woman to have an abortion are so acceptable these days. ?!?!?!

Kunoichi said...

Gayle, I did a quick search, and it looks like this is the writer that started it off.

However, there were a number of other really disgusting blog posts and columnists that wrote similar stuff. I won't link to them. Google it.

So - an attack that did not come from the mainstream media.

Not that I am justifying it, but the fact is there are wingnuts out there who represent all kinds of stupid and disgusting viewpoints. When you are in the public eye you are going to be unfairly attacked by said wingnuts.

Now if that attack had been commenced by mainstream media, and endorsed by same, I could see your point. But it was an attack launched by a wingnut blogger. If you google "Nazi" you will probably find some bloggers who think Obama should be shot because he is black.

I see none of my lefty posters have dared to respond to this perfect example of a double standard. Well, who really expects the lefties to understand Republicans are human and have feelings and that includes their children.

Gayle said...

Well Hunter, speaking for myself, I am still waiting for all you Palin supporters to respond to SQ's facts.

The silence is telling.

Gayle, no-one here even bothers to read SQ anymore, I know I didn't, and it's my blog!

Lefties lie and steal and have no morals, why would we listen to you. I let lefties spew on my site so that we can clearly see your thinking, or lack there of, without the swearing and putrid comments on lefty blogs.

Lefties posting here help remove the necessity of us having to go to lefty blogs.

Anonymous said...

The silence is hardly 'telling'. Rebutting left-lib talking points would only waste valuable seconds.

If only the MSM invested but a fraction of the effort they did in demonizing Palin and actually asked some questions of the Obama camp instead of fawning over him, Barry Soreto would not be President today.

There are far more skeletons in the closet of Mr. Hopey-Changey than there ever was in Palin's.

So Gayle, were you on office time this afternoon or not?

And as far as you claiming SQ's latest cut and paste as 'facts', why not practice what you preach and 'prove it' as you are so apt to say.
