Socialists should be horrified by any mention of promoting one individual as superior to any other. Aren't all people equal? Shame on the socialists for allowing a state funeral for their leader, it makes him superior to all of their members.
Let Layton be at peace, don't use his death for political gain.

Edmonton Goes To The Polls! I Need Some Inspiration!
I wish we had a vocal tea party movement here, we need one against our current mayor and councilors. They have refused to allow Edmontonians to vote about keeping our municipal airport open. They discussed it behind closed doors and then told us, we could have no say in the matter.
My ward has one old councilor, Iverson, and luckily one brave guy going up against him. Iverson is famous for his U-Pass project which forces ALL students to help pay for those students who ride the bus/LRT. A great idea if you are a socialist! He is also the guy who wants us to only idle our cars for 2 minutes in the middle of winter. When it is 40 below, our cars need more time to warm up, but he obviously wants us to all abandon our cars for transit, I wonder if he rides his bike in the winter? Will he force his future kids to ride with him? A better example of a greenie progressive you will never find, the guy is a poster boy for greenie swill. My vote is going for the only option, Al Slemko. I have no information about him, but he can't be worse than Iveson.
Anyways, for all you Edmontonians, here is the breakdown of who is running in which wards.
It's not good for a persons blood pressure to get riled up on a Monday, so to calm my nerves, and yours, I offer you two videos, one of the northern lights dancing and one of a man made fountain. I much prefer mother nature's display, but both take your mind off of politics, if only for a moment.
Thank goodness for beauty. Now, let the campaign to boot the mayor and ALL councilors begin!

Money Pits!
The government can not fix everything, but special interest groups rely on the government to keep their organizations running. It is a money pit.
Equalization is a Canadian tradition, take from the rich and give to the poor. Supposedly this will give the poor the same advantages as the rich and everything will become neutral. No rich, no poor. Equalization is a money pit. Saskatchewan and Newfoundland have taken responsibility for their own destiny and become HAVE provinces. The other have not provinces take the productive workers money because they feel they are entitled to it. Take PEI for example, they have the best potatoes I have ever tasted, it has something to do with the red soil. Do they bother to market them? I saw some in a store once here in Alberta.
How about what is happening to Greece? Their bonds have been rated as junk, they are in serious trouble, but the unions are protesting any disruption to their benefits. Are they really that stupid? Germany, one of the only productive nations in the EU, will have to bail Greece out to keep the Euro viable. What happens when Portugal, Spain and Ireland need help too? Money pits, with no end.
Canadian taxpayers spend 10 BILLION a YEAR on the First Nations, yet the reserves are disgusting places to live. Recently it has been reported that the Chief's are paying themselves $250,000 or more while their people live in over crowded homes. Money pits.
Then we get to the all important issue of aid to third world countries. Canada and every other western nation have poured trillions of dollars into helping developing countries and what has it done? Name one developing country that has become self sufficient with the help of aid. Money pits.
Equalization........................FAIL
EU helping socialist countries......FAIL
Indian Act..........................FAIL
Aid for third world countries.......FAIL
If something doesn't work, why continue to pour our tax dollars into these socialist schemes. It's time for the taxpayers to stand up and stop this charity for life institution.
It's a money pit and the more you throw into it, the more the people depend on government to solve all their problems.
As a taxpayer, I am sick and tired of supporting this culture of welfare.

Getting In On The Socialist Bandwagon!
I have become an artist tonight, really! I call it "Seeing Eye Puppy Art!" I will be applying for a grant to document the journey of the seeing eye puppy from baby to adult. I figure $30,000 should just about cover it.
My first creation is called "Seeing eye puppy being strangled by a life of hardship trying to adapt to the human world and all the laws and restrictions"

Now if that is not creative enough, my second creation, or should I say the puppy's creation, is titled, "Seeing eye puppy getting the hang of living in a restrictive world where humans are the oppressors."

Now, it's hard to live off of $30,000 a year, so I am also applying for a grant for my grow op.

Seeing as the new fad is to buy produce within a 100 mile limit, my tomato plants should net me at least another $30,000 in grants. My research paper will be "Growing tomatoes in the sub-arctic climate without disturbing the ecosystem around people who have no clue about growing a garden."
I am also applying for a grant of $30,000 to study the effects of urban displacement of sparrows from their bird houses when a cat moves into the neighbourhood.
Finally, I am starting a woman's group, called "Women, how to get out of the kitchen and into the malls; the art of shopping until you drop, and how to do it while looking like a million bucks" This should net the new organization (me) at least another $30,000.
Just wait until they legalize marijuana! I have all sorts of ideas on how to suck more money out of the government, like "Teaching kids the difference between a tomato plant and a pot plant, and how smoking a tomato plant can damage your brain while marijuana is okay." "Growing your own pot can be difficult unless your parents think it is a tomato plant". "Why your marijuana plant is turning brown and when is the best time to water it." "What to do with those pesky seeds that disrupt the growth of the pot plant, or are those actually tomatoes?"
I figure that I can net about $100,000 in one year for doing nothing but pretend that I am an expert of baffle gab.
So, how am I doing so far? I have the artist angle covered, the environmental angle covered, the legalize drugs angle covered, now, what am I missing?
Oh, right, the study on how to integrate into an eastern (Toronto)society while being a female who accidentally reveals her toe in public and has it cause a great disruption in the zen life of the eastern male, making them unable to think for the next 2 days.
Okay, I think I have everything covered now. Can't wait for the arts and science research money to start flowing into my pocket...any time now!
Hey, it's easy to be a socialist, all that free taxpayer money! I prefer to be an independent female who doesn't need any government handouts to succeed!

The Bias Of CTV's Fife Is Staggering!
PM Harper gives an excellent speech at the World Economic Forum, and Fife nitpicks his comments about climate change to make it look like he was under fire from everybody, including American Iggy. The cut and splice job CTV did was awesome in it's bias against the Prime Minister of our country, Canada.
The sick little Libbot media reporters would prefer for Canada to look stupid on the world stage, then to give PM Harper any credit for a job well done. It's time to start using their own techniques against them. It's time to call them on their whining and sniveling. It's time for us to get serious about getting our message out, and blogs are the way to do it.
I took the biased video from CTV and cut and spliced it to generate my own biased message. I figure if they can do it, so can anyone who has a video capture program.
We can start cutting and pasting just like CTV/CBC/Global do to get their message out. I always thought that our news stations had rules that they had to operate under, but it appears they can slant the news anyway they want without fear of prosecution.
Well, we can all play the same game. We know that climate change is under fire because of blogs. We know that newspapers are losing money because of their bias, we know that we can get the word out using blogs.
I was outraged by Iggy, the American, telling me that he was "embarrassed" to be Canadian. I am a PROUD 4th generation Canadian and I am "embarrassed" by Iggy and the Liberal party of Canada for their obvious bias against our troops and our Prime Minister. They need to grow up. If the Liberals want to join with the NDP, I say go for it! But do not do it behind closed doors, grow some balls and come right out and tell us that is what you are doing. Let all the socialists join together in the clear light of the day, like they did with their coalition, then bring down this government so we can have a fair and honest election. Let the people vote, because we are getting tired of the underhanded, sleazy opposition tactics. They remind me of rats in a cave, vicious little creatures who like to attack in the dark, but refuse to come out into the clear revealing sunlight.
Climb out of the dark, into the clear Conservative light!

Climategate Picking Up Steam!

Nice, 64% vote for PM Harper. Make sure you add your vote.
I answered a phone survey today, from Harris/Decima. It started off about food outlets and organic produce, then asked about genetically engineered food, went from there to global warming and what Canada should do, support a binding agreement or not. One question was asked about who you would vote for, and then they got back to Copenhagen and whether you agreed with environmentalists. It was about 10 minutes long, and the interviewer chuckled a few times at my answers (she must have been a Conservative) and she thanked me for a very interesting interview. HA
So someone is doing some polling about Copenhagen before it starts. Not sure how the food outlets got in there but I suspect they are doing one call for more than one client.
That brings me to climategate. Ignore all you want Lame Stream Media, but the truth is now out there, and it has blown up in the faces of all econuts. Funny, they have gone from global cooling, to global warming, to climate change, to CO2 pollution. That's the new buzz word, CO2 pollution. I suspect that when the public doesn't buy CO2 as a pollutant, the greenies will just change it to ...pollution, and we will have come full circle. Problem is, no-one is going to believe anything environmentalists say from now on, they are done. They are now junk scientists, by their own hands.
The silent majority is listening and learning. The greens get maybe 8% of the vote here in Canada, yet the politicians in all countries are pushing this climate fraud on us, because it's all about money, not the environment. It's about power, and a new world government. Europe has moved one step closer to it, and if the power brokers can get a binding agreement in Copenhagen, that's another step towards more power for the UN. Think about who makes up the majority in the UN, it's not the wealthy Christian countries. Which poses the question, why are Democratic countries responsible for all the failed third world countries? Today, the Commonwealth nations agreed to a $10 BILLION a year slush fund for those nations at risk from global warming, what a scam! It reminds me of the First Nations in Canada who get $10 billion a year and somehow manage to remain poor. Or like our "have not" provinces, like Quebec, can somehow afford a $7 a day daycare, while "have" provinces send them billions.
The breaking point is coming, the silent majority is about to wake up. Middle class people who go to work everyday, and raise their children to be successful and responsible members of society are getting sick of the socialists stealing from us to enrich themselves. It's time to circle the wagons. No more Robin Hood.

I Am Sick And Tired...
As Conservatives we need to quit fighting the lefties and understand that we are the government. I repeat, we are the government. Granted we only have a minority but we are still the ones in power. Iggy thinks he is the PM, he has put the Conservatives on probation. HA! What an idiot.
PM Harper gets ridiculed because his riding is in Alberta, Iggy gets praised because he was living out of our country for more years then he has been alive, and gets parachuted into a Liberal stronghold. PM Harper has fought for his vision of Canada all his life, Iggy has no vision for Canada, and has only been here for three years. Three years and he thinks he should be the Prime Minister of Canada?? BS.
The MSM is driving the agenda, it is time for us to take back the power. We have the power because we can protest against the media by informing their sponsors that we will be boycotting their businesses. The media is already suffering from a lack of advertising, the last thing they need is a protest against their biased reporting. That is exactly why we need to protest the bias. If the Tamil Tiger supporters can get away with illegal protests, surely we can get away with a perfectly legal boycott of companies who advertise in our biased media.
My recent experience with Shaw has made me understand that, we the consumer have the power.
I am sick and tired of our media constantly slagging our Prime Minister.
I am sick and tired of the media forgetting to cover our Prime Minister when he travels internationally, yet they trumpet Iggy's international experience.
I am sick and tired of the Liberals witch hunt on Mulroney, while they conveniently forget about the 40 million stolen from Canadians that went directly into the Liberal party pocket.
I am sick and tired of the attempt to make Minister Kenney the bad guy in the iRuby scandal. iRuby made her bed, she has to sleep in it, and Iggy might try to distance himself from it, but the stink is going to stick to him.
I am sick and tired of the lefties pretending that the coalition was a great idea. It was about a bunch of socialists thinking they could override the voters of Canada, and they are preparing to do it again. Next election a vote for the Liberals, NDP or Greens will be a vote for a coalition government. The only party standing in the socialists way are the Conservatives.
I am sick and tired of leftists. They want legal marijuana, swingers clubs that 16 year old kids can legally go to, and they want us to pander to terrorist groups like the Tamil Tigers.
I am sick and tired of socialists, they are destroying our country!

Question Period: The Three Choices.
Canadians have three options when voting, Conservatives, Socialists and Separatists. This must be clearly defined by the Conservatives next election. Iffy can try to make Liberals appear like conservatives, but only fools will be fooled. Think about his cabinet if they win. Wayne Easter? Hang 'Im High Murphy? Ralphie Goods for Sale? Rae Bare Bottom? Hedy Burning Crosses? Give me a break, a sows ear is still a sows ear no matter how you try to sell it.
The opposition in action. Bloc MP's are worthless. They have no power and will never have power, but they suck on the Canadian teat while crying about separation. Yet it will be Canadian taxpayers that pay their pensions. If Quebec MP's are so intent on separating, let them forsake their pensions. Let's see how many stand by their separation principles without a Canada pension to fall back on.
Question period is a joke. The opposition is a joke. Remember, we have three options. Choose wisely!

The Peter Principle Candidates
Here is the official definition of the Peter Principal:
The Peter Principle is the principle that "In a Hierarchy Every Employee Tends to Rise to His Level of Incompetence."
This was first published in 1968, I had to read it in university, but the concept stuck with me, and it is still as true today as it was in 1968.
In the seventies, the feminists made a big push to get females into management positions, I had no problem with that, but what happened was that companies promoted females just to show they were pro-female. They promoted women who were not qualified and that's when the Peter Principle kicked in. They were promoted because they were female, not because they were competent. They set the feminist movement back because they were so bad at what they did, that no company wanted to take a chance of promoting another incompetent female for years.
Fast forward to today. Think about those people who have risen to their level of incompetence.
Dion, he did nothing as the environment Minister, and got promoted to leader of the Liberals. He was over his head as environment Minister and a disaster as leader of the opposition.
Paul Martin, was supposedly a very good finance Minister, but as a Prime Minister he was a joke. He had no clue what he should do because he was not a leader.
Layton, is a socialist who has reached his pinnacle of fame, imagine him as Prime Minister....Yikes!
Duceppe the separatist, tried to lead the Quebec government and even his own party didn't want him. Where can he go? Prime Minister? Not possible, so he has reached his level of incompetence, he is on a dead end road with nowhere to go but retirement.
Iggy, the unelected leader of the Liberals, a Harvard grad who has spent most of his life outside of Canada, comes back to save us, from ourselves. He agreed with GW Bush on Iraqi, and identifies more with Americans than Canadians. He may be smart but the Peter Principle kicks in because he has only been back in Canada for 3 years, and will never understand the west. A blue, oops red blood, intellectual who has no clue about Canada.
Prime Minister Harper, is respected world wide for his intellect, you will never hear this from our foaming at the mouth media, they are still mad at him because he wanted them to line up at a microphone instead of YELLING out their questions. Such babies. Reporters are a perfect example of Peter's Principle, they report on issues they have no clue about, and the balance sheets of their companies prove we aren't buying it. Advertising is down, readership is down and shares are down. The National Post has recently reported a profit.
Finally, when thinking about candidates for the Peter's Principle award, only one person comes to mind......Obama. I'm sure he is a good guy, and it's great that he is the first black President, but he is way over his head. The bloom is going to dry up and then the Americans are going to be stuck with a Peter Principle President. If he does a bad job, no black American will be elected for a long time because of Peter's Principle. Bring on Sarah Palin, she has strengths and has no yet reached her level of incompetence.
Feel free to nominate your favorite Peter's Principle incompetent.

In 2009 Can We Have Some Common Sense?
A new year, a new start. Let's start with something called common sense. Try to apply it to what is happening around you, and spread it around. Some examples of the lack of common sense and the intrusion into our personal space:
1. The 30 second idling rule.
2. Banning guns.
3. Smoking laws.
4. Taxpayer paid abortions.
5. Free needles and drugs.
6. Bailouts.
7. HRC's
8. Lack of property rights.
9. Coalitions.
10. Unions.
11. Global warming.
12. House arrest for murder.
Those are just a few examples of how special interest groups and socialists are taking away our individual rights for the "good" of society. Feel free to add your pet peeves.
Free society? How free are we anymore? You can't open a bar that allows smoking because it will take away business from other bars. If we actually had property rights, they could not dictate to us like this is Russia. This is supposedly for the good of society because smoking, though legal is socially undesirable, but at the same time we are told that marijuana should be legalized and special smoking rooms should be allowed for those who want to toke up.
We are told that we should herd our children into daycares, for their own good, that having a child actually raised by one of their parents is undesirable for society. The family has become a threat to socialists because it forms the basis of a secure and stable society.
Common sense has disappeared to be replaced by political correctness and multiculturalism. Special interest groups abound, mostly funded by governments, the majority of them are only interested in restricting our freedoms, or intruding into our lives with stupid laws. A 30 second idling rule in Edmonton during -30 weather, is just stupid, but the lefties at city hall have nothing better to do than plan how to make us peasants conform to their socialist ideals, meanwhile our streets are a snowy mess.
I am really, really sick of all the rules and regulations that are designed to take away our freedoms while allowing special interest groups more power. Where has common sense gone?
Let's Get Real Here.
We know the NDP and Bloq have made some agreement to take down the Conservative government. It appears they are using the weak link Dion to bring the Liberals into the mix. If I was a Liberal I would be outraged that the socialists and separatists kept their agreement secret. Who has the "hidden" agenda now?
The Liberals have been played by the two weakest parties in parliament, they knew Dion was a ready made patsy, and they have played the Liberals like a sour sounding violin. The socialists and separatists are like wolves in the wild, they sense the weakest member and attack.
The Conservatives need to get back to their membership.
- eliminate taxpayer funded party funding.
- no bail outs for inefficient industries.
- lower taxes.
- get rid of the human rights commissions.
- stop trying to appease the opposition, they will never be happy.
- stick to your principles, people are wanting direction.
- understand that Quebec will never be happy no matter how much you give them.
Conservatives won a larger minority not because they bowed down to the socialists, but because they refused to cater to special interest groups. They lost Quebec not because they didn't do enough for them, but because they did too much, no one likes a suck up. Ignore Quebec, they might respect you more for it.
Conservatives need to get real, and stop being scared to fight for what they think is right. Lefties, with the help of the MSM have defined Canada for too long, it's time we took back our country and gave the coalition the big boot in the butt.
As a Canadian, an Albertan and an Edmontonian, I care about my country, and this idea of a coalition makes me steaming mad, they are erasing my vote because they don't like it.
I have never seen such an atmosphere of hate as I see from the Liberals/Ndp/Bloq, this is not just about different ideals, it's about out and out rage against Conservatives, when Scott Reid talks about killing our PM it becomes a very serious matter. He might not do it himself, but he has definitely given someone the idea.
I will fight against this unholy trinity because my kids need a stable country to grow up in, and I hope there are some liberals who understand that Canada is being held hostage by separatists and socialists, if you join with them, you care not for Canada.
