Proof That Lefties Support Taliban Bombers!

The NP has an article about Afghan detainees. It appears that Canadians are buying into the detainee issue....or are they?

OTTAWA - A solid majority of Canadians believe prisoners detained by Canadian soldiers have been tortured after being transferred to Afghan authorities, a new Ipsos Reid poll suggests.

A fat majority also say that if torture occurred, it was not only wrong but that they believe there was widespread knowledge of it within the Canadian government -- and that senior officials should lose their jobs, if that was the case.

First off, I can't find the survey the NP is quoting. The newest released data at Ipsos Reid is whether the opposition can be trusted. In order to view the results, you need to pony up $95 a year.

So, not having the actual questions, I'm going to play with statistics.

Question 1: Given that the Afghan Muslims stone women to death for being raped, do you think that Afghan prisoners are tortured?

(Hint, you have to answer yes to this question)

Question 2: If our Canadian troops hand over captured Taliban who are prone to chopping off woman's heads, do you think they might be tortured by Afghans?

(Hint, you have to answer yes)

Question 3: Given that the Taliban throw acid in young girls faces for going to school, do you think that they might be tortured?

(Hint, you have to answer yes)

Pollster John Wright said Canadians are saying they "care deeply" about the possibility of detainees being tortured after Canadian soldiers have transferred them to Afghan custody.

"They're saying it's not proper, it should have stopped and, if it didn't, somebody should have done something about it," he said.

Of the 61% who believe torture occurred, 59% said they think the tactic was routine, compared to 34% who believe it happened only on rare occasions, the poll suggests.

Quebecers were more likely to believe transferred detainees were tortured. Seventy-six per cent of them took that position, whereas residents of Alberta were the least likely to believe it, at 44%.

Question 4: Do you "care deeply" that murdering detainees might be tortured by the Afghans?

(Hint, you only care if you are Taliban lovers and could care less about young Afghan girls)

Question 5: If your daughter was raped and then sentenced to death, do you believe in the Afghan government as a way to protect your child?

(Do you seriously need a hint for this one?)

A majority said that if it is determined that officials knew as far back as 2007 that torture was taking place and didn't do anything to stop it, or denied it was happening at all, then top bosses should be ousted from their jobs.

Fifty-seven per cent said the defence minister, now Peter MacKay, should be forced to resign, and 56% said the chief of defence staff, currently Walter Natynczyk, should go.

Question 6: If you send troops into a desert fight in green camo, should the Minister be responsible?

(Hint, it was the Liberals who did this)

Question 7: If officials knew back in 2001, when the troops where first sent over to Afghanistan that torture was the norm, should the Liberals be held to account?

(Hint, the press have a short memory and therefore they blame everything on the Conservatives, and ignore the FACT that it was the Liberals who had a bad transfer agreement and it was the Conservatives who fixed it).

This poll appears to be very biased, but I can't really tell because the results would cost me $95, and I'm not one of those rich Liberal bloggers who can afford to see the results.

This poll proves that lefties support Taliban Bombers, and think women killed for minor "crimes" do not matter. It is a sad statement of our lefty people, they used to support the down trodden, now they support terrorists. Is it fear?

Another proof that libs love the taliban more than our troops is the fact Mr Z wants all the details of the coming attack in Kandahar.
I am sure that if the guilty murderers who beheaded 4 afghans over the wkend were captured, libs would come to their defense.
One question not asked, do you care if those that have killed our troops and young women and girls, burned down schools, etc are hit with a shoe or worse, by their own people.
No where does it say our troops tortured those terrorists.
Would the libs rather all captured terrorists were shot on the spot.
As for Quebec being on the side of the terrorists, who is surprised, they were against WW1 and WW11, refusing conscription.

Given the outrage of the Liberal Party re: the loss of Pride funding.

I'd say that the Liberal, Push in push polls has reached new levels.

Why do I think that Giggles Tabor had something to do with preparing the questions, or a similar haggish clone??

"A solid majority of Canadians" = 1000 Canadians polled?

A recent Nanos poll on the Afghan issue that is published for the public to see thier methods.

Nanos poll actually asked this question "Some people say that the Conservative government passed Afghan detainees to Afghan security forces knowing they might be tortured. Others say that the
Conservative government would never knowingly pass detainees to Afghan security forces if
they thought they might be tortured. Which of these two views best reflects your personal
opinion?"

37.8% of those polled believed that the "The Conservative government passed Afghan detainees to Afghan security forces knowing they might be tortured"

Hmmmm ...

I hoped the Robin Hood Party will not tolerate another delay, vote contempt, remove confidence.

Let the voters decide, the priorities going forward and if the the socialist have made their case for more wealth redistribution.
