I suspect that the Globe and Mail wanted different results for this poll, so I started watching it early.
Early results:
In your view, did Anglican bishops do the right thing in vetoing a resolution to allow same-sex union blessings in parish churches?
Yes
(83%) 8878 votes
No
(17%) 1830 votes
Total votes: 10708
Final Results:
In your view, did Anglican bishops do the right thing in vetoing a resolution to allow same-sex union blessings in parish churches?
Yes
(87%) 31774 votes
No
(13%) 4710 votes
Total votes: 36484
So, interesting 87% of people thought the Anglican bishops did the right thing, not quite what the G&M expected I think.
Why does any non-Anglican think that they should have any input into what that Church does, or doesn't do? I thought that religious rights were protected when SSM was made legal. Seems that's not enough for some lefties, I suspect it will never be enough until all morals have disappeared from all Churches and from society, it appears they are craving Rome just before the fall.
