Alberta Rocks.....Again!

Okay, I hate to rub it into Ontario's nose, but Alberta won the Brier once again, with a rookie team!

Alberta stuns Ontario in Brier final

HALIFAX – Draw to the pin to win.

With the adrenalin pumping and perhaps your one and only chance to win the Brier on the line, drawing to the button is easier said than done.

But Kevin Koe did it here Sunday night to give Alberta a 6-5 win over Glenn Howard to win the province a third consecutive Tim Hortons Brier.

It came down to the last rock in the eleventh end, but Alberta won. Congrats to the Koe team.

One thing I did notice was all the empty seats throughout the tournament, shame on you Halifax. Even the final game had empty seats, and the crowd was pretty quiet. Maybe they didn't have a Brier Patch, or maybe they did and that is where everyone hung out.

Why isn't CTV covering the paralympics like they did the Olympics? These athletes are even better than the none handicapped athletes. They have so much more drive and ambition, they should be highlighted, instead CTV is ignoring them. Shame on CTV. They are making our paralympic athletes into second class citizens and that should never happen.

Sorry Ontario, maybe next year!

So...why aren't you all over the Paralmpics? During the Olympics you fawned over every single athlete. Paralympics...not so much.

"none handicapped"?

3 Silver yesterday. we on the coast are getting lots of coverage. I watched the opening and bits of the re-run on both CTV and an American station. Sledge hockey Canada-Italy was a good game.

The ParaGames are not the Olympics but their tme will come and I suspect that there might even be a merger of the two and thus would be equal.

A wonderful week of curling and I feel bad for Howard. Champions must win the big games. Koe was a bit up and down and sure not as consistant as Howerd. Great last shot tho.

Women's World from Speedy Creek starts Saturday!! Hurry Hard

Good old Trou de Queue - just has to get in there. Hunter, I'm glad you keep this fool around for the humour factor. Any time I feel discouraged, I just have to check out one of Trou de Queue's comments and I feel better - thank God I'm not as pathetic as that guy.

CTV believes the dollars from sponsors or viewers will not exist.

I agree it would be more enjoyable to watch it than QP on Sunday.
