Okay I watched most of the news conference today. I have to admit that PM Harper, was really funny when he talked about two standards for jelly beans. Poor opposition, they are yapping about water, and it turns out it was all about jelly beans!
If you didn't catch all the fun, you can find it at CTV. Go to the videos on the right (HA) and get the whole media scrum, not just the sound bites during the news hours.
I have to give CTV two thumbs up for their coverage compared to CBC, not that either was worthy of watching, just that CTV provides the whole media scrum (or is that media scum?)on their internet site.
What is really sad is that NDP MP, Peter Julian actually appeared more sensible than Dion, now that is truly scary! Watch both segments and see if you agree. Both are still wrong, but Dion appears to try and make everyone think PM Harper is Bush lite, or at least I think that's what he said. Dion is no politician, he's in way over his head, and if you watch the clip, you will see a certain arrogance that he displays, smug little grins, that signal he thinks he is better than us. He might score some points on PM Harper, if we could understand him, but oh well, it was the Liberals who made him their leader, they have to live with him, not us.
Last comment, I noticed that President Bush, called PM Harper, Stephen this time, not Steve.
